I am so disgusted by the way that Tony and his associates have treated my car and myself. My 2013 Toyota Rav4 sadly, needed an engine replacement. After having it inspected by the dealership and another auto mechanic, Tony, at Honest one, gave the best price. Also, my father has had work from them and said that they were actually pretty decently honest. So, after the replaced the engine, they also said they had re-charged the air conditioner. Great! Although, it was working just fine when I dropped it off.I drove it for a couple of days and not only did the air conditioner not work, but the car was making a clunking noise every time that I turned the car on or made wide turns. I opened the hood and there were literally missing bolts and rusted parts on the new/used engine. When I called Tony, he said that it was no problem. I could bring it by whenever and take a look. When I mentioned this to my friend, he was appalled. He didnt even tell you to stop driving the car? Because of that advice, I stopped driving it and brought it back in. I heard back from Tony, who said that the car was fixed, but the air conditioner had to be replaced for $700.I told him that I couldnt afford that right now and why was it working before and not now?I went in to pick it up and Tony and his mechanic co-worker were extremely rude. They said there was no way that they could have broken it in the engine rebuilt, but that if I didnt get it fix, and it affects the engine, it voids any responsibility for them. He said this with a smile.I am so insulted by the way that they handled this whole thing, particularly their lack of bedside manor. They were actually ganging up on my and saying that they couldnt explain anything to me because I was too condescending. Now, I am contacting a lawyer. Im afraid to take it to them to fix, but also afraid that if I take it somewhere else, they will say that they do not hold any liability for the engine.
Fast and professional, called before they worked on it. Thank you Tony and Crew.
I do technical phone support to automotive dealerships, I know when shops have a clue and when they dont. I was happy that Tony got me scheduled in when I needed help, the experience and end result was good.
This is easy to locate, fair priced but still at the local rates, they stand by their work, make planning suggestions for going forward to maintain your car and truck, and with many stalls they get you in and out, and they have a small waiting area,.. but as we are all keeping space, and covered likly you want to arrange for a ride while your work gets done right.Definitely a trusted service supplier.worth the visit . Get and oil change, then establish a plan to maintain your ride.
A Very dependable problem solving mechanic helped me.
Tony was rude and condescending and it took them 3 times to fix the issue. They acted rude and inconvenienced whenever I called. They always took longer than they said and never made any apologies. Once the owner accidentally left with my key in his pocket and had to come back and didnt even apologize! I would never recommend this company to anyone.
We had a manifold gasket replacement and some distributor work done on our old 1988 RV by the folks at Honest 1 on SE 82nd Ave. They also did a tire rotation. They did excellent work. It runs beautifully and they kept me fully informed during the repair process. We can’t say enough good things about them!
The best most reliable shop in town. Great customer service and pricing.
Tony and his crew are thorough and explain not just the problem, but possible options as well.
The name and the service is the same with the price. Highly recommended! Ive just a new car but I still go hear for oil change because of value price and great service ;)
I stopped in there to get my vehicle repaired knowing that I had a rearmain seal leak and they told me was just an oil Pan gasket so they did the repairs and then looked underneath my vehicle 2 days later and still had oil leaks from my rearmain seale
HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!My mother used this establishment today and had her car worked on and she paid and then later realized she had given her debit card rather than credit card (KEEP IN MIND SHES VERY LIMITED LOW INCOME) when she realized what had happened she returned to ask for them to cancel that transaction and to please re-run transaction on the card she had thought she’d used. The owner apparently told her NO that he was not capable of doing that and it would cost him $ to do that, I’m a business owner and know that it is very POSSIBLE to do and a decent respectful human would be inclined to do so. RUN FROM THIS PLACE FOR IT HAS 00000000 CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!
Tony did a great job with the inspection
Did a good job quickly and professionally
These guys are great! The work was done before promised, the price was fair and didnt change, and I was given options as to what work was possible to put off. Ill have no hesitation referring people to Honest-1!
Went in to get a simple tensioner pulley fixed on my pickup. The worst customer service I have come across in a long time. He said I was rude because ithought they might come listen real quick........oh no...... you have to make an appointment to get any service out of them. Lazy. Rude. Waste of my time
So happy I could cry. I’ve always been a huge fan of honest-1 since the first time I’ve taken my car there. And I’ve taken my car to multiple honest-1 locations. Every time has been a great experience. They never try to up sell stuff that doesn’t necessarily need to be fixed. There’s been multiple occasions I’ve priced checked with other shops and Honest-1 has always gave me a better deal. Thank you guys for not taking advantage of a girl that knows nothing about cars.
Tony and the crew at Honest-1 Auto have been nothing short of amazing!! I needed to have my entire transmission replaced and these guys went above and beyond to assist me using my extended warranty program, getting a brand new transmission, installing it and all on time even with the whole covid-19 thing going on and saved me thousands of dollars. They kept me informed and advised at all times and did an exceptional job! They have now become my number one place for all my auto repairs and maintenance. Thank you to everyone at Honest-1 for a truly STELLAR experience.
Worst customer service ever. Trash, don’t go here. They over charge you.
After my truck was broken into and needed the steering column replaced, Honest-1 took 3 days longer than estimated to diagnose and repair the issue. On the same day I picked it up, the key got stuck in the ignition, and it needed to go back to the shop. The second time I retrieved my truck from Honest-1, it drove almost 2 weeks before the exact issue happened again. The new shop doing this current repair is having to replace some of the exact same parts.I seldom write reviews, but needed to share this less than satisfactory experience.
They do great work at reasonable rates and the people that work there are nice.
A very trustworthy shop! I refer everyone I know to go here. Tony has always done so right with me. There arent many mechanics in town that you can trust. But Tony is the one for me. I work on my cars myself but theres times where the task is too much for me to tackle OR I brake down and give the shop a call and they fit me right in. They are very reasonably priced, for both parts and labor. They will not let cars go back out onto the streets unless they are repaired correctly. Ive had my car messed up by several shops in the past, and Tony has put it back together as it should have been done the first time. I dont just recommended but I will say, in all honesty, its the only place to go. Tell him Pete sent ya.
Great service
I was referred to this mechanic by a wonderful dealership that I had an excellent experience with. I took my car in at 8 yesterday morning to get the speedometer fixed, which had stopped working the same day I bought the car. The dealership was to cover the cost of the repair. I was greeted by the manager Tony, who basically treated me like a dumb kid and was pressing that “someone will be billed no matter what” even though I wasn’t saying anything about not paying, even if the dealership decided not to cover the repairs. As I was telling Tony about the speedometer problem, I mentioned that the -back- windows didn’t roll down and thought that might be related. I told him my main focus was the speedometer and that I would come back to the windows later. Tony kept pushing us to get the windows fixed and we kept saying no. So at around 12 or 1, we call him to check on the car, and Tony tells us that the speedometer is fixed, the car will be ready by 5, and that the -drivers- window won’t roll up and asked us again if we wanted to get it fixed while it was there and we said no. So we get the car back and the drivers window won’t roll up, none of the other windows will roll up or down, the heater won’t turn on, and the speedometer still doesn’t work. The only windows with the problems were the back windows. Knowing this couldn’t be right, my boyfriend (who has never worked on a car in his life) decided to look up how to fix the speedo, ac/heater, and windows. He found the fuse that was necessary to fix this which was SHORTED OUT, and replaced it that night. Everything is up and working in the car now. But I’d like to know how someone who has never worked on a car can fix this problem in an hour, and it takes a “mechanic” 9 hours to replace a fuse with a burnt out one and send the car back home with more problems than it had to begin with. I never write bad reviews, but this place really just set me off. I’m sure there are some very professional mechanics that work at Honest 1, but Tony was definitely very unprofessional. I will not be returning here, I will not be referring my friends and family here. I hope that no one else gets scammed in this way and that they’re able to catch it before it happens.
Great service and real friendly.
Reasonably priced fast turnaround time overall good service
Good work, fair price. Been using this shop for years. Customer service has been great. Never tried to sell me something I did not need.
Quickly and correctly diagnosed service engine light, fan was connected backwards on the 01 Mustang I bought Sunday.
Tony was very insightful and thorough in diagnosing my problem, had it fixed in 1 week due to searching for parts. I was amazed at his work and after my AAA discount was satisfied with a very low price! Honest-1 is aces in my book and I recommend them highly.
Tony runs an amazing business! Great customer sevice! Honest! And they know their stuff!
Went in for an oil change. No problems.
Ive been in a pinch twice within a year with my car that I depend on and both times this place has come through for me when my 2001 Ford Focus SE Wagon had problems. First problem was the A/C, they fixed it in a snap and just in time for the hot weather. Now a year later, the second time I had to take it in but now for a bad alternator. They fixed this fast and for a very reasonable price compared to competitors in my area and fixed it faster than what the competitors quoted me. Its great that they are also in walking distance to my home. These guys are fantastic and we trust them.
I took my car in for a repair, they were friendly, quick, and efficient. The waiting area was clean. It would have been nice if they had the TV on, or coffee, but they did have water and theres a store next door. They have WIFI available. My only complaint would be that I paid more for them to look at my car to diagnose the problem than I did for the part and repair. Ive never been to a shop that doesnt credit all or part of that fee towards the cost of the repair especially when it was pretty straightforward. The problem ended up being what the code said it was. Which honestly isnt a huge deal, but still worth mentioning. I plan on returning in the future for any other maintenance or repairs.
Best in our neighborhood
The guys at this shop are great! Some mechanics will try to rake you over the coals in an attempt to squeeze more money from your pocket, Not gonna happen at this shop! They always shoot straight and make sure they do what best for their customers.
2015Near my house which is a big plus. Mechanic was knowledgeable about vehicle. Was able to diagnose all issues. The work I required was easy - change belts, flush coolant, change oil & replace oil pan gasket. They did a good job and got it done in good time. I will go there again.Update 2017.I am changing my review. I do not recommend this place. Last time i went there i asked them to replace my window. The car was full of broken glass. I had to clean out the vents in the dash and on the floors. When i called i was told by the owner he uses a service and it was the service workers fault. He did not offer to make amends or clean up the mess. I do not trust the fit and finish of this company.
Some of the most unprofessional people I have ever dealt with. Do not bring your car here. We r living in this pandemic right now and u would think these people would not take advantage of a woman but they did. Some of the worst people I have come across. If I could give them less than zero stars I would.
I recently took my 15+ year old car in to Honest 1 on 82nd avenue to have it checked out and evaluated. They did a wonderful job. They inspected it, at my request, from top to bottom and fixed things I knew were wrong as well as things I didnt know were wrong . The result is wonderful. It drives and handles and feels almost like new. I am so impressed and thankful. Tony and crew are professional, knowledgeable, skillful and honest.
This shop was recommended to me by AAA. I had my car towed there to see what was going on with it because it had been gone for about 2 years. Unfortunately, it was damaged above and beyond the value of the vehicle, but instead of the nickel and dime routine, he let me know that if it was his car, he wouldnt spend the money. So I sold it to Pick n Pull. But it took 2 days to get my car out of there. Very nice man. Honest. And only charged me the for the inspection. ($114)
Fair to me both times Ive used thwm
Got my truck back on the road
Do not go to this place!!!!!!!My check engine light came on, I took it to Auto Zone so that they could do a diagnostic, they came up with about 7 codes all dealing with the transmission. I took it to this Honest-1 Auto Care place because the word Honest was in their name. I dropped it off first thing in the morning and was told that they would give me a call at about 11am after doing an in depth diagnostic that would cost me between $40-$80 depending on the amount of work they needed to do to come up with the reason the light is on. At around 1pm I gave THEM a call because I didnt hear anything from them. The person I spoke to said that they just got back from lunch and they were looking at it now and would call me back in an hour. An hour and a half later I called THEM again because I didnt hear anything. They said that I needed to completely rebuild my transmission and it would cost over $3000. He also said they only found 1 code. When I went to pick up my car he told me it would be $90 for the diagnostic they just did when originally they said it would cost between $40-$80. I asked the guy at the counter again how many codes they found, he again said 1. I asked him if I took it somewhere else, would they only find 1 code? He said yes. I took it immediately to auto zone again to check...7 codes still popped up. I then took it to a transmission place down the road. He had it for a few hours, did a FREE diagnostic, told me that 7 codes popped up and told me that I did NOT have to have my transmission rebuilt. He told me that the sensor was broken and it would only cost me $150. He replaced it and now my car works perfectly fine. I dont understand how Honest 1 is able to diagnose my car when they have no idea what theyre talking about. And they took $90 to tell me a lie.Do not take your car to this place. They have horrible customer service and dont know what theyre talking about.
Been taking my car to Honest-1 for years - Beaverton, Milwaukie and Clackamas locations - always affordable, quick to repair and pleasant to deal with. They Make you feel comfortable and are NOT pushy - they are (hate to do it) HONEST mechanics and just want to do the right thing :) will always give them my business and referrals. thanks guys.
Good and fast service. I use them as part of my MaxCare warranty. They are open 9n Saturdays which is a plus compared to the weekday only hours of the Carmax service center.
Lied too me about price of spare tire hoist
Absolutely awful place. I was having transmission issues with my car and all that needed to be done was replace a hose. The manager of this store told me I needed to buy a whole new transmission!! What an awful guy! He took advantage of me because I’m a girl and thinks I don’t know things about cars. Never will I come back here. Go to discount muffler right across the street! They’re amazing people and so honest.
Honest auto?. Not so honest. My experience with them was a nightmare. If you dont might them ruining your car then thats the place to go. They fixed something but make sure it breaks so they can fix it again plus a list of things. Maybe a total of 800 by the time they get done unless they rebuild your transmission they ruined .
Rip off liars too
It took some time to put my used/new motor in my truck but did a great job of it Im a diy guy but for all my big repairs these guys know what there doing.for sure
Tony isn’t concerned about the quality of the product going on to your vehicle, he is only concerned about the price he can buy it for.I wouldn’t recommend my friends or family to shop like that. Tony, the owner is also very rude.
Very nice people. Very knowledgeable. However, quite a bit more money was paid than anticipated for a front and back light. Almost double. Of course, the specifics are never that cut and dry.
My fuel pump died. They got me back on the road in a day and for far less than. I was quoted at Midas. They also went out of their way to accommodate payment arrangements. Just beware of the snap credit thing. The interest rate on it is insane
I was entirely impressed with my experience here. I dropped in without an appointment to get a new radiator. Within 20 minutes of leaving they had already called me with the info and bid...which was half of what I was expecting to pay. They had it fixed by early afternoon. Very professional and customer oriented. I will be back.
Im surprised by some of the reviews. Ive been going here for several years. I have a 15-yr-old car, so having a good mechanic is important for me. These guys charge a fair price and do a good job. Ive been to several mechanics around town. Each time Ive done so, Ive come to appreciate the Honest-1 Auto guys on SE 82nd more.
These guys should change their name to Shady Auto. I had some coil springs installed, which after taking my money, told me I need an additional 2 of lift. Why wouldnt they tell me that before, so we could get everything done at once? I brought this to the service writers attention. He just chuckled and said hed give me a discount on labor. So I get the part and then they tell me to go somewhere else, they cant do the work. Do yourself a favor and dont go here. Theyre more interested in taking your money then doing a honest job. I wont EVER do business with this company again.
Ive been taking my car here for a couple of years now and theyve been great. My car isnt the most reliable but these guys have always gotten me right in, been very competitive with their pricing, been very helpful, and gone out of their way to fix things that were screwed up by previous mechanics...overall making my car far more reliable than it has been. Ive recommended them to friends who have been just as happy with their service as I have been.
Honest-1 went over and above my expectations to help repair emissions issues on my older beloved LandCruiser. They found and fixed shoddy work done by another shop and drove it at least 7 times to DEQ before it finally passed. They charged a minimal labor amount even though they must have spent a lot of additional hours on the road. I cant recommend them enough for their diligence and great customer service!
I dont leave very many reviews at all. My car was out of alignment because my struts were bent. Everyone around me was telling me the job would cost $1400 to replace my entire rear wheel assembly. I called my dealership and they told me to take it here. They tested it, replaced the struts, aligned it in one day and just charged me for parts and labor. I appreciate their ethic and not just trying to get as much money out of me by getting me to replace everything, but they told me exactly what the issue was, and they fixed it.
Ive had four different cars worked on at Honest 1 on 82nd. Ive found them to be reasonably priced and...well, honest. If they dont know what the problem is, they say so. If they can fix it, they give an estimate and stick to it. Ive never found them trying to do unnecessary work.Ive probably had at least a dozen repairs/maintenance visits in there over 4 years and they have not disappointed me yet.Im not easy to please. My policy on repair shops is that they get once chance to disappoint me and Im moving on. Ive probably used over a dozen shops in the last 20 years and this is the only shop I havent had to walk away from.
My check engine light was on. Tony had his guys right on it. It is running better than ever now. Thanks tony.
Lots of motion, little accomplished. Training lacking; overfilled crankcase by one quart of oil.
I do not recommend at all. Given multiple chances for multiple fails.1. Wrong spark plugs. Just found this out today which has now pushed me over my limit.2. Did not put enough coolant in radiator. completely overheated.List goes on and on...
I took my personal car to Honest 1. I was grossly overcharged to put coolant in my radiator. The diagnosis was that there wasnt a leak. About a month later, I went back for another issue and almost got in an argument with the owner because he diagnosed my car without even looking at it. He said it had a blown head gasket. I knew it did not. Frustrated, I let him look at it anyways. Shortly after, he told me he could SEE the head leaking externally. But did not charge me. I got the distinct feeling that he simply wanted to win the earlier argument. I took it to another shop to be re-diagnosed. ---- My vehicle had a broken heater core and when that was fixed, water leaked out of the throttle body housing. I cant imagine what i wouldve been charged if Id listened to Tony at Honest 1.
I was on a time crunch buying a new car, and needed it inspected. Took the car to these guys. First, they are open on a Saturday. Secondly, they fit me in in a matter of about 20 minutes. Had the inspection done in 30 minutes. Did a bumper to bumper inspection. Guy even took it out to test brakes, gear shifting, etc. The cost was $80, but well worth it for honest feedback at noon on a Saturday. Thank you for being there when we needed you most!
I personally worked at this location as a shop manager, up at the front with Tony the owner. I was at this establiahement for a miserable 6 months before being let go. Tony is NOT an honest person, nor does he care much if any about his customers. I sat next to him day in and day out for 6 months as I watched him consistently rip people off. He will buy cheap grade parts and charge the customer mark up as if he had bought the more expensive parts. On water pump and timing belt jobs I have seen him charge customers for unnecessary seals that never even got used. Seals that sat on our shelf for return and never got put in to the car. Tony is rude and inconsiderate to his customers. Sometimes so rude that I would have to leave the office due to awkwardness. He asked me to lie to customers to save his ass more times than I can count. The technicians at this shop are amazing, its the guy up front that ruins it for everyone. I would not send my worst enemy here. Tony let me go one day after he left me alone to deal with a gun threat, and I stood up and defended his investments and his business. The next day I went to talk to a sales rep outside. When I came back inside, Tony got in my face and yelled at me for not being able to find me. After asking him to lower his voice more than once (and he didnt) I then raised mine and told him that I was doing this all for HIM. I was talking to a sales rep to gain knowledge for HIM. The previous day I had defended the establishment from a gun threat for HIM. Above and beyond his dishonesty, Tony refuses to pay any employees for over time, or offer health bennifits. I worked a consistent 90hrs a week, and sometimes even more depending on how many days he actually let me take a lunch or not. My paycheck consistently showed 80 hours of pay and not the correct 90. This shop is a rip off, take it from me because he had me lying and trying to rip customers off as well. I will never recommend this shop to anyone solely based off the fact that I dont trust Tony to take good care of them. If you can get past Tony and have the awesome techs that work here work on your car, then consider yourself the lucky one. Keep in mind that if you decide to use this shop for work on your vehicle, Tony DOES NOT honor the 3yr or 36k mile warranty that Honest-1 locations offer to their customers. If something breaks or doesnt function properly after install, its at Tonys discretion to warranty it and fix it which is WRONG WRONG WRONG. This man is a scam!!!!
Thank you Tony and crew. My old Chevy finally runs like its supposed to! We will be back.
Paid for a groupon, then had to pay an extra $44.00 for synthetic oil. The groupon included three oil changes within 90 days so I only needed one done after I bought it at the end of December. Went in for last one today, the owner, Tony Cha rudely told me he gave me a punch card (never gave me one) and in a condescending tone tells me, “I tell everyone don’t lose it” then shows me a little book that I had never seen before so I know he never gave me one. He started giving me an attitude and for a moment I thought he wasn’t even going to honor my groupon even though he completely remembered me and I ended up also getting my breaks done there as well and planned to be a returning customer even with the extra fee for synthetic that seems a little high after buying a Groupon. When I go back in to to pick my car up he informs me it’ll be $40 again because of synthetic. As the associate is ringing me up Tony is on the phone with a customer being extremely rude to them and telling them, “Look it up on google yourself!” I honestly was uncomfortable with how rude he was three different times. In total I pay the same thing for oil changes at Walmart and the Groupon made me spend more money. Sad thing is I planned to be a returning customer. Don’t trust them with your business.- [ ]
I was in the office when Scott was there, concerning the oil change. The man at the counter was very calm when Scott came across very rude and upset . After trying to explain why the oil filter in Scotts car would cost an additional $6, Scott left in a very unprofessional manner. From what I witnessed Honest 1 handled the situation in a professional and calm manner.
Excellent, trustworthy service!
Have had many jobs done for both me & my wifes car. Quality work, fair price. Have consistently been helpful and dependable,
I had a brake emergency today on 82nd, pulled into Honest-1, and within half an hour, they had helped me decipher the problem and get back on the road. My car is a bit of a specialty situation (vintage 1959), but they took the time to get under my car, take the wheels off, inspect the brakes, and safely send me off to my regular mechanic AT NO CHARGE. Who does that anymore? Thank you!
I have never felt so uncomfortable being in a place. The service was terrible, the guy who helped me paid little to no attention to me and had the worse attitude, and when I left my car was making a terrible rattling and they wont work with me to fix it. I bought a Groupon and I am stuck going back here 3 more times.
Wanting to take good care of my vehicle, I purchased a 1-year car care package through living social. Among the many listed benefits were four oil changes and $25 off a transmission flush, which I needed anyway! I called and made an appointment for the services and my husband brought our vehicle in. The person at the desk, Tony - who said he was the owner, said he would only give us $15 off the transmission flush. I had printed the deal that I had purchased, it was all there. My husband called me to let me know what was going on and I ended up talking to Tony, he was very rude and I asked who his supervisor was - he laughed and said hes the owner. I told him I didnt think it was funny, that Im feeling like Ive been scammed with a bait and switch, he ended up hanging up on me, and threw the keys at my husband.I am appalled by the horrible customer service and lack of professionalism demonstrated by Tony - I wouldnt be surprised to learn the name he gave was fake ... If I treated customers the way he did, I wouldnt want to give my real name, either.P.S. I contacted Living Social and they were great; they cheerfully refunded my purchase price because the business was refusing to honor it - so at least someone remembers what customer service should be!
This Auto Shop is HORRIBLE! They overcharged me for a job totally incorrectly done that I am now paying for a 2nd time. They offered to reimburse me for ONE $19 hose out of the $260 they charged me!!!! Their mechanic didnt even clamp the hose down! When a hose is clamped down you can see marks/indentations on it. Their were not even marks/indentations. This shows the WORK wasnt done right. Yet they are still charging me $194 for installing TWO HOSES that take 20 minutes at the most for a professional! What a joke. I am complaining all the way up their Corporate ladder, as well as to AAA because AAA towed me there. They are NOT HONEST, and NOT to be TRUSTED at ALL.
I stopped by with an imported vehicle to see if they would work on it. The manager didnt even walk outside to look at it and said yes. I brought it by a week or so later and dropped it off for the work to be done. About four hours later they call me and say they cant actually work on it. They did manage to do a very overpriced oil change ($70), but not the work that needed done, despite my due diligence in approaching them first. Totally disrespectful of their customers time.
Honest is NOT honest at all! After being charged an arm and a leg for service, they cant get things right here. Dealing with management in the office is a nightmare. Be prepared to hear loads of excuse and stories why they cant fix something right. After going back 3 times, they forgot to check for a blown fuse. Are you kidding me...
Very friendly people
Got me on time said I would be there an hour.
This place is really honest. They will let you know if your car is not worth fixing.
Called to get an oil change got me right in after checking in and they started working on car was told it was goung to cost extra i had a vip pass and other locations did not charge me was told we sre not other locations and if i did not like it i could take it elsewhere. So i did call another location and they are taking care of it. Very rude attendant will not go back and now my car smells like burning oil till my other appointment
I had a problem with my Dodge Caravan with the OBD2 not reading and by law the DEQ has to plug in if its 1996 or newer. I found out from AAMCO that it wasnt working and they told me I probably had a bad ECM. So I took it here for a second opinion to diagnose what the problem was. I was then told that they came up with the same issue and quoted me over $400 to do the job plus the $100 I paid for the diagnoses.I then went online and found a company that will program the ECM with my specific vin # and send it to me with a lifetime warranty as long as I sent the bad one back to them for half the price I was quoted so thats what I did. The ECM was very simple to swap and after I was done it still had the same issue as before. So I called back to honest auto and was told by Tony that I should of never done that myself and thats what I get for buying something from the internet. I was then told because I did it myself he would charge me another $100 to re-diagnose the issue. With the nightmare I was in I took the van to Midas who then referred me to to a speciality shop. So Mechanic shop #4 looked into it and found the problem within an hour. It was a corroded communication wire and was told that replacing the ECM was never the problem in the first place. A half hour later they were done and I took it through DEQ and of course passed with flying colors. After the way I was treated and the bogus diagnoses I will not be taking my cars back here and a complete waste of $100.
This review is from an encounter that happened in April or May of 2014. Dishonest would be more accurate. If I could give them NO STARS would because they dont deserve ANY! My sister took her car to this place because it was overheating, they fixed it and charged her $1800, and then it started overheating as she was driving it home. So, she took it back. They told her they wanted another $2800 to repair it again (which she couldnt afford after paying so much already). She payed ALOT of money just to have them do NOTHING to fix her car. They are a bunch of lying weasels. I just wish she had taken my advice and sought legal action. The mechanics were rude. The quality of the work was, obviously, not sufficient. Dont take you car here, you will probably regret it!
I go here for all my car care needs. Always get the best prices for labor and parts.
“Jump to Conclusions Automotive” I described the problem my car was having and before looking at, test driving or listening to the vehicle I was told it needed new front brakes, which by the way was wholly incorrect. I think I saw a Ouija board used to troubleshoot difficult vehicles. Avoid at all costs or at the least get a second opinion.
Good guys. Fixed my car under warranty
The owner/manager, Tony Cha, was so rude and disrespectful that I will NOT be using his shop again. They may be honest, but they are not courteous. Horrible customer service, if I could, I wouldnt even pay them
Always love going to Honest-1, great quality and customer service.
Worst mechanics ever.Took my vehicle in for work and was quoted a price that was four times what I wound up paying elsewhere for half the work. Complete scam and rude. I wouldn’t recommend these con artists to the person I hate most.
Professional and personable
They always did good service
Perfect
I wouldnt even rate them a star i toke my car in cause it was making a noise i payed 100 dollars all they did was listen to it for a half hour but charged me a full hour of work they told me since the problem sounds like a torque converter bolt was lose i would have to pay 600 dollars to check it and would cost more if i had to buy parts and more work i went home checked where noise was coming from it was from a bolt that was holding starter electrical cord in place but had gotten loose it was hitting the frame when i told him why he was trying to charge me 600 dollars for a lose bolt he got mad really bad place dont go.any questions call me or message me.
Terrible customer service and communication. Did work on my vehicle without communicating clearly to me. I tried working things out with Tony (the manager) but he straight out ignored me. Have to get the work corrected someplace else. Avoid this place!
Horrible customer service. Rude owner.
This place is a total rip off! They use refurbished parts saying on the receipts that the parts are new. DO NOT GO HERE!!! These bastards are out for your CA$H!!!
Very fast and affordable.
Check out the BBB and Yelp reviews for this location. I made the same mistake. I should have heeded the other reviews. DO NOT BRING YOUR CAR HERE!
Good mechanics!!
Honestly honest
