I was very disappointed with the haircut my son received. My son has been growing his hair out and his plan was to do so until COVID was over. We went in only for a trim and shape. The stylist did not listen to the request of having just a trim and cut off 5 inches of hair. Gave him funky bangs when we said to leave them long. The technique was very poor. I will never go back. She also insisted on a side part on the wrong side. He can wear a side part on the opposite side or in the middle. When we tried to move it, she put it back. I think to hide the terrible job. I am heartbroken for my son because we have to get it even shorter now to fix it. I feel so manipulated by the stylist.

I rarely write reviews but we had such a great experience I had to come write one. I sadly didn’t catch her name but she did an amazing job at cutting my daughters hair for her first cut. Will be back when it’s time for round 2, and 3 and 4… :)

Were going there only for Maria, shes great with my 4 years son.

We use to go to Snippets, but they closed. Now we looove Cool Tops!! Competitively priced for the area and such a fun experience for little girls (and boys I’m sure). The couple stylists we’ve had were very sweet and patient. They even get candy and a balloon at the end! What’s not to like?

Great place to get your kids haircut. The staff is friendly, amusement theme seating for kids and an option to watch cocomelon on tv :)Finally every kid gets a balloon at the end!

Timely appointments, reasonable prices, fun atmosphere - my kids (2 and 5) love getting their haircut. At the end they get balloons and a lollipop. All is right in my kids world!

They did pretty good with my 2 year old who HATES his haircut... I asked them not to put the bib on, and she did anyway (my son hates it, so it just started out on a bad foot) but they are very good with dealing with an unhappy, bouncy, screaming toddler. His haircut turned out great, and they were very patient. Ive gone back twice now. They even make your kid a little balloon sword after 🤗

I have been coming here for years. I brought all 3 of my boys here, but today was not a good day. The women who cut my sons hair this time was super rude. Also looks like they pick and choose who waits inside and who waits outside.

I went there with my 4 yo daughter and they were great. The lady that cut my daughters hair was really nice and showed me how to do a braided hairstyle too. My daughter was given a balloon and a hair accessory too :)

The ladies here are super quick and really good with my kids. My boys love the cute balloons they get afterwards and the suckers.

Dont go here! I took my 3 daughters for a trim and they proceeded to cut their hair with NO TECHNIQUE WHATSOEVER. Just barely sprayed with water and cut a crooked line straight across the bottom. I could have done a better job myself! I have been here when there were employees that actually used technique and skill. All three of my girls had a cut at the same time and all three butchers were just terrible. Do not give them your money!

Take as many appointments as possible, sometimes multiple for the same time with the same person. They dont care how long you wait. Tried it and vowed to never go again because she yanked my daughters hair while brushing. I tried it again with my son and I couldnt tell you what I was thinking. He didnt even get a haircut because we were so uncomfortable. Just do yourself a favor and dont waste your time

Fun to go there for the first haircut, they put together a nice keepsake with a picture and balloon.

HORRIBLE SERVICE AND THEY MAKE YOUR CHILD BLEED!!!The owner (she claimed to be the owner) was holding my son’s head (5yr old) forcefully and my son was complaining that she was hurting him. She started jabbing him in the side of the head with clippers and was extremely rough with him! Last time she cut his neck and I let it go. This time she was rushing again and forcing his head around and jabbing him. Was very rude to my wife when my wife asked if she could have his hair cut a certain way and even before my wife could finish her sentence the owner barked “I KNOW I KNOW I KNOW” at my wife. Extremely rude and wasn’t patient with a child at all! AND MY SON BARELY MOVED! Everyone always says he is so steady. I will never bring my son back here!!! They treat children poorly and are jabbing sharp scissors and clippers at their neck!I picked up my son and took him out half way through his haircut! I wasn’t going to subject my son to more of this torture from this woman that states she is great with kids. She is absolutely not! She has no patience and she will not listen to a child let alone an adult!If I could rate this place zero stars I would!HORRIBLE SERVICE AND THEY MAKE YOUR CHILD BLEED!

Our sons first hair cut was at great clips were they had mom hold babe in the chair to clip his hair. He was scared and moving a lot, she didnt try to finish just left his hair half cut and charged us full price for a man to get his hair cut. But here at Cool Tops, was a totally different experience. They have toy cars set up as she salon chairs for the kods, they play a movie of your choice and the women interact and befriend your child. They are patience and have much experience with children hair. He was crying and another lady came out and was singing and dancing to the wheel on the bus for him. It helped us finish the hair cut successfully.

I know its their business but they do very well with kids. Not only can they handle the fear, crying, screaming, etc., but they also actually do a great job of cutting hair and making it look nice in spite of all the crazy movements of a two year old.

My son had haircut 3 times in the hair salon and it was never a pleasant one. It would take 2+ people to restrain him to the chair and he would always end up in frantic tears. It was probably my mistake for not bringing him to a specialized hair salon. Therefore, when I made an appointment here, I was skeptical.To be honest, I dont think the hair dresser was any better or specially trained. The end result was good; he looks like a stylish young fellow. However, the real difference lies in the environment. They use specially created chairs so children can sit on ponies or cars and they have small TV screen up so they can play cartoons for kids. They also have a special Toy section so kids naturally feel happy at the store. You can also get a free balloon at the end of the haircut.I was surprised that my son was not kicking or screaming this time. He was upset but he sat through the haircut with little assistance from me or the hair stylist. He was distracted for the most part by TV and the free lollipop from the store.Overall, it was a good haircut at a calming children-friendly spot That is good enough for me. I am relieved I no longer need to wrestle with him during his haircut! The haircut costs $19.50 by the way. If you ask for specific style, you might have to pay more.

I got the best haircut for my son theyre very helpful there the stylist that did my sons hair was excellent her name was Synthia she was patient gentle and kind my son unfortunately my son has autism but she is great with children with special needs if you have a child with special needs go to cool tops cuts for kids and ask for synthia

Not welcoming I showed up 10 min before my childs appointment and was told you are early sit and wait it was dirty and duct tape was holdding the chairs together. We left because I was not impressed on the style of hair cuts I saw or the treatment of the customers.
