A front brake line blew on my 2003 truck and in less than 24 hours, Jim was able to remove the busted line and replace it, and I asked him to replace the other line while he was at it. Now, my trucks running like new! They were professional, affordable, and very, very helpful when I spoke with them. Thank you Jim!!

Bridgeville Automotive always takes great care of my car and me. Quality and friendly service thats worth my drive across town. From the first time I went there, no one else touches my car, theyre that good. Jim owns the place, and from his attitude, it all flows from there. He takes the time to make sure the service is correct and will talk to you about what is required. Todd is the same way, they both take the time to give customers the best service. Ive been going there for about 14 years now, and my first service was absolutely necessary. Ive been a loyal customer ever since. Ellen (in the office) treats everyone with patience and respect. You might think an auto mechanic like this only exists in commercials, but these folks are the real deal. Everyone I talked to there is passionate about taking care of you and your vehicle. The prices are very reasonable and the service was quick. I did have to make an appointment a couple weeks ahead of time, but I can understand why their schedule is booked up. This is a superior level of auto service.

Car inspection was to include Spring Maintenance - which says top off all fluids, set tire pressures, etc. Before I left the lot the tire warning light was on. Checked the tires - pressures varied from 26 - 33 pounds = they didnt check. Added a half gallon of windshield washer fluid to the reservoir = they didnt top off the fluids. They talk a good game - but dont always meet expectations.

Bridgeville Automotive was recommended by my son and son in law. They both have all their auto inspections and repairs done there. I had them do an oil change and some repair work. Entire satisfied. Would recommend them.

Prices are high, unable to provide estimated cost before performing work. Regularly recommend replacing more parts than is necessary to fix the issue. Expensive state inspections - including bills for failures.

Finding a good place that is able to get you in quickly is pretty hard in the South Hills.I felt welcomed by Ellen and the service guys seemed down to earth and knowledgeable. In fact, the tech even showed me how bad my breaks were. No qualms with this place at all other than the brakes might have been more expensive than I thought (but what do I know, if I had that knowledge I wouldnt be taking it somewhere now would I?)All in all, great place and easy to work with. If you want to go to a shop where you can rely on the diagnosis then Bridgeville Automotive is the place to go. I take my BMW over there regularly for servicing. With the recent issue that I had, their diagnosis was better then the one given by BMW dealer. They are very trust worthy. If they do not know something then they will let you know that they need to do research and lookup auto bulletins to get to the root cause of the issue. Very friendly in nature.

A lot of us dont know much when it comes to our very important vehicles that we really cant do without. When youre looking for a mechanic the thing that matters possibly most of all is the integrity of the person.You dont want to get jerked around, you dont want to get lied to, you dont want to get scammed. Ideally, you just want to pay the person a fair transaction to get the job fixed as painless as possible.Jim is that guy. My family and I have been going to Jims for a decade and hes always been fair and communicative and reasonably priced.Not only that, but Jim has stood up for his customers in the court of law on a few occasions (my mother being one of them) fighting other automobile shyster who have at one point or another tried to defraud his customers. If there is anything this guy hates, its someone trying to be dishonest.I will note however Jim and Pals are pretty high in demand and the waiting list can be high at times. If you only have one car and cant work out some leapfrog approach with a friends automobile the wait may be too long for you. Go ahead and call to find out, but it usually takes at least a weeks advanced notice.

I left my car for state inspection at 8am. I was said it would take up to 4 hours to get it done. I got a call around noon. The lady on the phone said that my car needed several things to be fixed. Ok, I expected that and we checked the car before. The car didnt have any issues. I refused any repaires. At 2pm they called me again saying its done. I picked it up, paid over $100 . And then I discovered they changed the light bulbs that had worked before. They charged me for that. And the invoice said the inspection failed due to the lights and brake system issues. They didnt like the condition of caliper slides!))) First, there were no signs of something being wrong with them at all. Second, assuming that the caliper slides condition is inappropriate it can be easily eliminated by lubricating. So, they charged me for what was in working condition before, tried to pull more money out for ridiculous reason, kept me waiting for 6 hours instead of up to four hours and didnt do safety inspection. Will stay away of this dishonest place. I wouldnt recommend it to anyone.
