I dont post a lot of online reviews, but I wanted you to know about Forbes Field Garage. Ive been going there for years. I do most of my own auto maintenance, but I need a dependable shop for PA state inspections and tire mounting. Theyve also helped me out with exhaust repair, welding and even pressed a few bearings for me. They can do it all. Its great to have some professionals I can rely on (especially when I get in over my head). Theyre prompt, honest, and they really know what theyre doing.Theyre also in a very convenient location near the Birmingham Bridge in Soho. I work in Oakland, so I drop my car off in the morning and catch a 61 right in front of their shop. In the afternoon I can take any 61 or 71 back down to Soho, get off at Moultry Street, and walk a block over to pick up my car. Couldnt be easier!

Skilled, fair and honestMy engine light was on and I smelled burning oil. My brother recommended Forbes Field Garage, so I took the car in and braced myself for an expensive repair job. Turned out to be a problem with the cars computer. They puzzled over it, cleared it, recalibrated it and charged me less than $100. They said theres a small oil leak that would cost $6-700 to fix but isnt a major problem as long as I monitor the oil level on a regular basis.Ill definitely take my car there again!
