Ive never given a business more chances and had them consistently mess up. Ive taken my vehicle to Midas to be serviced for everything for a couple years now. I have spent over $5,000 on various repairs (on two different cars). Only one time out of eight trips has everything gone well without problems, I understand that car parts need fixed, but these are problems that should have been fixed that werent, problems that simply werent fix, problems that werent identified, and fixed problems with bad parts. You name it, it has gone wrong with this Midas. I keep giving them chances because they have experience with my car, and Ive never regretted a decision more. Im done taking my car here, and I would never recommend this business to anyone. Not to mention, the new team is less than ideal to work with, and generally seems not to care. Good luck.Update: Midas responded to this review and asked me to contact them through their website to get the situation rectified. I gladly let them know the problems, though still have yet to hear a response from them. I took my car to Pep Boys right down the road, and those guys were awesome. Gave me a steep discount on a part, and a courtesy deeper-than-normal courtesy inspection after they heard what I was dealing with at Midas. They recommended a few items be done (all marked green on the Midas courtesy check), and the price I paid was incredible compared to Midas. Id recommend anyone go to Pep Boys. Longer hours, cheaper prices, better service.

Just dont even bother going there. Had an exhaust issue two years ago and they told me I needed to replace everything from the muffler back, ok, fine. Went there today and now I need everything from the catalytic converter back. $1,800 for something that they didnt do right in the first place?!?!!

I got to Midas at around 11:40ish for my 12pm appointment for a state car inspection. They asked if I was waiting at the store and I said I would. They didn’t take my car back until 1:43 pm. No updates whatsoever. At 2:20pm, I asked how much longer it would be - the response was that it wouldn’t be much longer. I didn’t get out until 3pm . If you are getting your car inspected, try somewhere else.

I will talk about my experience and you judge; I know about cars and parts prices, I used to work with a dealer before, I changed my oil there and got my car checked before I drive to Texas (yes, 1300 miles). I wanted to change my battery and they asked for 270$, I know it is a lot, I made a phone call to check and when I told him it is too much he said calmly “I made a mistake, your bill is 190$”, of course I left, ask about the prices of anything you buy before you pay.

Great! This is bad story share with you guys. The man Bryan is rude and worst attitude. I went Midas at 5914 station ave, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania-15206. First they fixed my air compressor and it’s almost I paid $2600. They changed The Air Conditioner is not working, I keep on schedule the appointment and they keep on postponing my appointment I don’t know why? The man His name is Bryan, he is very rude and very bad service with customers. I m originated an Indian and may he doesn’t like other skin color or other country people by the way he is white. I have lots White’s friends, they are very friendly and nice but this Bryan have worst attitude at the customers. After that they did for car router and brake pads work, unnecessarily mean I went for something little bit noise and I told check it ..they changed it that means in my car I have all sensors if it wants it came be displayed or I can get notifications on the dashboard for change or something but I didn’t get nothing and they changed it unnecessarily..The problem was same I went again they said change front now …see type work over there and Bryan made like that. He must be fired from Midas and I don’t know still he is working while changing my break pads they missed BMW sign on the wheel…i asked them couple of time and Bryan said gonna order it ..still nothing. Worst experience dealing with a car place ever. The first guy behind the desk originally said it would be $400 to fix, just for the estimate to be $175; then when I asked “how much longer” after waiting for 2.5 hours, the guy was super rude and demeaning. Really just ridiculous of an experience.

I had a mixed, but mostly negative experience at this Midas. On one hand, the staff did a really nice job explaining the issues they found with my car. I had one of the mechanics walk me through each part listed on the bill and explain what was wrong with it, which I really appreciated.On the other hand, it was a huge pain to get this info from them in the first place. When I called to ask them to send me an email with the invoice, they said they would send it and then never did. I had to call back over an hour later and someone finally sent it to me. Then when I had reviewed it and wanted to discuss it, it turned out I had been sent the wrong invoice. I once again asked them to send me an email with the invoice, and they once again failed to send it until I called back over an hour later. I asked them to call me when they finished working on my car and I never heard back from them. I had to call the next morning to confirm they were finished working on it.The repairs that they suggested ended up being more expensive than the value of the car (its 20 years old) and I did not end up getting them done, so I cant speak to the effectiveness of their mechanics. I can say that just based on my customer service experience, I will not return.

I went to this Midas when the check engine light came on on my wifes car. We were planning on taking a trip in a couple days (~10 hours of driving) and our normal mechanic didnt have any appointment slots, so we went to this Midas since they were close by, open, and seemed to have good reviews. We dropped off the car on a thursday, and the following friday morning it was already repaired and ready for us. Apparently there was a cracked valve cover that they had to replace, and in the end they charged us ~$800 which seems pretty high, but we didnt have much of a choice.Day after we picked up the car, we started our 10 hour drive. About 2 hours in, a light comes on in the car indicating that the transmission is hot and to idle the engine. Turns out, the car was leaking oil like crazy, and when we pulled over onto the side of the road and checked the oil, there was no oil left in the car. As a result, I had to pay an additional $900 to get a rental car to finish the drive and continue on our trip, and $150 to get the car towed (which would have been $1000 if I didnt have AAA).I had called the Midas that Saturday telling them what happened, and they said we could have the car towed there, and that they would look at it first thing monday morning and would keep the car stored inside there garage so it wouldnt be sitting out during the nights. On Wednesday, they call me asking me why my car is in there parking lot because they apparently forgot about our previous conversation and the car had just been sitting there for days. They said they would call be back on Thursday and let me know what the issue was and would have it fixed. I get no call on Thursday, so I call them Friday morning for them to say it was fixed. I asked if they could leave the car out in their lot before they close on Saturday, so that we could come by and grab it on Sunday when they were closed (My wife needed the car to get to work at 6am, before they opened). They assured me this wouldnt be a problem and they would leave the car outside for us. When we got home on Sunday, the car was not outside, so my wife had to get an uber at 5:45am. I finally picked up the car, and they assured me it should now be fine and there wont be any more issues.Overall, after paying $800 for repairs, I had to end up paying an additional $900 for a rental car and $150 for a tow, because of inadequate repairs. They forgot about our car, and forgot to leave it parked outside like we asked. The level of incompetence is ridiculous. Do yourself a favor, do not take your car here.

I would never come to this Midas again. I came for an inspection that was overdue, prior to me coming I had a complimentary inspection done by my dealership when I was getting a recall fixed they told me I would need new rear brakes to pass my inspection. I got new brakes on a couple days before coming to Midas. Knowing that’s all I needed to pass I wasn’t worried about anything else....but no Midas always finds something wrong. They told me I need 2 bulbs one for headlight & license plate registration which were 40 each., I said okay that’s fine 45 mins later the guy tells me it’s not the bulb it’s the actual headlight & gave me an estimate of $800. All because of a led strip light which I been passing my inspection for the past 3 years. 2 days later I scheduled my inspection with my dealership & passed with no problems! This midas tries to scam people out of their money especially females.

We needed VIN verification for registering an out of state vehicle in PA. The manager was so helpful and went out of his way to make sure we had the right information. I imagine that he provides other services just as well. I was very satisfied with their work and their helpfulness

Midas in East Liberty has extremely poor management skills. I set up an appointment online and when I arrived to have my car inspected, Brian said he had no record of my appointment even after showing him the confirmation email. They accepted my car and said they would get it in so I didn’t worry about it for the time being. Then he decided to call me last minute before they close and tell me they weren’t able to get in the schedule for the day. Which means my inspection is expired and I won’t be able to go anywhere. Do not go here! They can’t even manage their appointments.

The store website had tires for my car, but I couldnt make an appointment because there was an error in the site when choosing a car make. Then I called and wanted to buy a set of, the manager told me that he would check my order and call me back. Ive been waiting for a call for 3 days. I think it isnt profitable for them to serve clients at such a rate.

Ive been getting my oil changed at this location for a long time and Ive never had a single issue. The prices are reasonable. The are efficient and timely. Trent, the manager was great. Very pleasant. The servicemen are wonderful. I had dropped my vehicle off and my driver ran into an issue when bringing me back to pick up my car. We were definitely running a few minutes past closing time. He was still very kind and understanding of the situation. Plus you can build up for free oil changes in the future.

They dont do what thwy say they do

I took my cars here for years after one really good experience. But this shop constantly over-recommended things I didnt need (I was suspicious and took the car to another shop where they confirmed things werent necessary). I gave them a second chance....but it culminated with a state inspection where they tried to REQUIRE I do a bunch of stuff I didnt need, totalling over $1000. I took it to another shop for the state inspection and they didnt mention any of those things and it passed.I havent been back.

Terrible shop. Have seen employee smoking pot outside the shop. Alignments are never actually correct, and the rear alignment is never adjusted, just the sensors moved to make the computer think that it is in line. They will try to sell you tires that won’t last, tire rotations are rarely done, will always upsell wipers, cabin and engine air filters, etc. Horrible management. Do not take your car here.

I was going to this Midas for years to get my oil changed with no issues until the last time they recommended replacing the cabin and air filters saying they should be replaced every year. However, I just had those parts replaced at the same location per their previous recommendation 4 months before. They either didnt actually replace them the first time or were trying to scam me. Ive been trying to get ahold of the manager for a month. I have called more times then I remember and always have to leave a message but never hear back - terrible customer service when it comes to complaints/issues it seems!

I really want to like this place, its convenient and they do a thorough job inspecting your car, I just never get a good feeling when I come here. Always feel like they are out to get me and after my car gets inspected, there is going to be something wrong that requires more money. Someday maybe they will figure out that building trust with customers outweighs the short term benefits of overcharging them on wiper blades.

Do not ever go to this place! You tell them to do one thing and they wanna go snooping around look g for other things thats supposedly wrong. I just had the car looked over all I needed was front brakes. They called and said I needed all this extra stuff that totaled 2 grand. As much business as this place gets I dont know why they try to RIP people off but God sees everything and getting over on people who are in need, knowing the importance of ones vehicle is just down right raunchy and bad business....never again

This Midas is actually one of the best. I liked the quick service and the honest conversation. They might not be the cheapest, but their professionalism, location, and advance service are worth it.

I booked my appointment and ordered my tires two weeks ago from mitis.com. When I arrived this morning at 8 AM I was given a quote of $700 versus the $509 I got online. Not only did they not have the tires that I pre-ordered theyve wasted my entire day. I will never go back to mitis again.

The front desk gentleman were very knowledgeable concerning my cars mechanical problem and the repair was quick and professional. There was no Stiffing Sales Practice.

Came here for an oil change, which came with a free tire rotation and courtesy inspection, so that was nice. After having poor experiences with mechanics trying to upsell me things I dont need at other garages, it was a relief to just come in, get my oil changed within the hour, pay, and get out. Thats all I want from an oil change, as I generally know whats going on with my vehicle and dont like it when they try to scam me. The Midas guys were efficient and pleasant. Great service.

I would give this business six stars if I could. I had a flat tire this morning, a Saturday, while getting my car ready for a trip. I called two other tire repair locations in the neighborhood and was told I might be able to get you in by 8:00 PM, but cant guarantee it or Sorry, were busy, make an appointment for Monday. Midas understood that I was in a hurry and they said to bring it in. An hour later the tire was repaired and I was on my way home. Friendly, competent service for sure. I will definitely use this location for all of my tire needs.

I have been to this Midas location several times and I will keep going back. I have had my oil changed, tires repaired, new brakes put on, and an inspection. Honest, efficient service. The manager Trent and his team are courteous and professional.

The service isnt consistent here. You get one answer from one guy and another from the other guy. Dont even bother calling to make an appointment or ask for a ballpark on time. I couldnt even get a rough estimate for a simple oil change. The guy that used to run the place was great.

I asked have my transmission fluid checked and was told I had a closed system. I went to a knowledgeable mechanic elsewhere and they showed me where the dipstick was. I was told I needed a core heater for $1,400 when now the heater works just fine. That was after a $720 temperature gauge replacement. I will not be coming back

It was time for an oil change and a few other minors. While it was very busy and truly a line of people. I found the service to be the most professional customer service i had ever experienced in a very long time. They greeted everyone, kept everyone informed.... this is one time I didnt mind the wait. Simply Excellent

Overall, I have had very good experiences at Midas. The customer service is a 10/10. They were able to get my car in and out on short notice. It was a little pricey (nothing crazy) and I waited over an hour and half once for an oil change. I will use Midas again however, as I think they are trustworthy and I am impressed with the customer service.

I never review things on Google. Trent from Midas convinced me to do so today purely through amazing service. I had lots of simple questions about the tire repairs his team performed, and he explained everything and even took me into the back to show me how they put a new tire on a rim and balance it. I felt respected, treated fairly, and I will definitely be returning the next time I need repairs.

I brought my vehicle in today to find out why my vehicle was making noise underneath. Trent, the manager was very accommodating, personable, with outstanding customer service. Once the problem was recognized and I was given a quote, with Trent being very knowledgeable about the services Midas offer, my vehicle was repaired successfully. DO NOT GO HERE! My wife brought her car in and they suggested a $3000 head gasket replacement. A new spark plug fixed it. I brought my car in and they suggested a $750 solenoid replacement. An oil change fixed it.

Great place. Down to earth. Quick, didnt even need to ask for special checks, they already did them. Didnt push me to balance tires, just suggested it should be done. And you cant beat the price, Im sure doing it yourself would cost as much. Chris was awesome!

Watch pricing at Midas. I believe if you dont watch, they will try excessive upcharging; especially women.Ive been a customer for more than 15 years. I know that Ive been over-charged many times. My wife and I both got nails in our tires. Midas took care of plugging the holes for free! Things were a bit slower than anticipated based on the call in but other than that everything was perfect.

The guy was pretty decent to work to my car. However, was an hour and 45 minute wait before my car even went into the bay. And then another half an hour to 45 minutes after that. And I called ahead and asked if I should make some type of appointment and they said no it wasnt necessary. And I went through a different lightest quite literally two days before same exact scenario. I called I had they told me I did not need an appointment for just a simple oil change. And I was there for an hour and a half and still nothing it happen. I had dinner plans and they told me it would be another hour. So I had to leave. Hence the reason why I then went to a different Midas 2 days later. And the above story tells you what happened then. Ive never seen such a very long wait for a simple oil change. Especially when you call ahead and they tell you its not necessary pretty cute.. And that really sucks cuz the people that work there were okay once they had time to talk to you. But the one I went to in the North Hills the very first time.. The one that I didnt end up getting anything done at after an hour and 45 minutes. They had four employees outside smoking about 70% of the time while I was there.

Whenever I need anything for my car-this is the first place I go. They are always so knowledgeable and willing to teach you things to better care for your car. All around amazing crew of folks and if you need a place you can trust and count on, this is it!

Such pleasant experience getting my oil change this morning. I was greeted with friendly smiles and amazing customer service despite the 7a.m hour. Dale, the front desk attendant, made sure all my questions were answered and was extremely knowledgeable in his position. Midas on Station Street has gained a new permanent customer in me!

I went in for a basic oil change, in which they highly suggested a high mileage oil change, so I took it. I asked them to replace a back light bulb and that a spare was inside the car, since the crew was striped. Sure he said will take a look. An hour later, I got the car and asked if the light was replaced the guy looked confused and said well we dont have time for that. They were very busy this day so, I said id come again some day. But that two was a mistake. My 2nd trip to this location was for an oil change requested online, and approved. Upon entry i was asked what time I wanted my car serviced, I said now and he said there is a two hour wait. So what the point of asking me right and why schedule an appointment. So I waited 2 hours and 45 minutes, called in 10 minutes upon my arrival only to find my car sitting in the same place i left it. After waiting inside for 10 minutes i got my keys and left without service or an apology. After taking my car to another location Im told the top is stripped and thy cant open the oil cap- its best you go back to the person who did it last. Clearly Im never coming back here and will pay the fee to get it replaced..

The staff was very friendly, quick and accommodating.I made an appointment online and received a confirmation email. When I arrived for my appointment, I was not on the schedule. Despite the scheduling error I was taken as a walk in and had a great experience. I will not use the online scheduling service again though.

Ive taken my car here for a few years because I live right nearby. Theyre often able to squeeze you in with fairly short notice as long as its not during the beginning/end of the month inspection rush. Service is always great and they only fix what I ask them to- I never get bullied into extra repairs. The last time I was hear, the tire pressure sensor on one of my tires was leaking and they repaired it free of charge! Recommended.

Recently my tire pressure light came on and upon checking the pressure I noticed a nail in my tire. I had it plugged with what Midas later told me was only a temporary plug and it didnt take. In only a day it was back to a very low pressure and re-triggered my sensors. It was a Friday evening when I discovered this and needed to find somewhere open on Saturday to repair it. I called Midas for a quote on the leaky tire repair and made an appointment online. Saturday morning I arrived to drop off my car and the guy who helped me was very nice and conversational. It was a quick drop off which I appreciated since I had to be somewhere right after. I returned a short while later and they were working on my car then. The guy informed me then that the wrong type of plug was originally used - the temporary one - and he would put a permanent patch on instead. The repair was quick and successful! My tire is finally reliably fixed and Midas is to thank for their great service. I had also called a competitor down the street for a quote and they told me that I needed a whole new tire because they couldnt re-plug my tire, so I am so grateful Midas was honest and didnt try to deceive me into unnecessary financial burden. Everyone there was so nice to me and I truly appreciate it! If I ever have any additional issues, I now know who to trust and call. Thanks again!

I was there twice and each time it cost me around ~500 bucks. They are professional and I do trust what I they told me. The fee is not cheap per se, but I do think it is reasonable. Front desk guys are friendly and service is fast. Overall, it is very good!

Customer service and expectations leave a lot to be desired. I will not be returning. I had an 11:30-1:30 appointment and dropped of my car 30 minutes early because I was in the area. It took them 6 hours to get me my car back for a state inspection. I called after 4 hours to see if there was a time that I could expect it to be ready and was placed on hold for 15 minutes then disconnected. I called back again and was told it was just in the shop at that point but they could not approximate a time it would be ready. I showed up 5 hours after dropping off my car initially and my car was parked in the garage, done, and I had yet to be contacted. I waited another 45 minutes to get my car. When my car was ready, I raised my concern that the time taken was far longer than my appointment called for and was told that my expectations were too high since they do not turn away customers throughout the day, making wait times longer. I did not have too high of expectations. Even if they had said when I dropped it off to not expect it to be done in the allotted appointment time, I would have been fine with it. They will not be getting business from me again and I will not recommend them in the future.

Great location. I’ve been here twice in the past month just after moving, and the staff have already made me feel like I’ve been here two years. It’s a busy shop, yet they make time to make you feel welcome and assure those waiting that they haven’t been forgotten. I’m sure I’ll also learn a lot about my car as I continue to enjoy their excellent service.

The manager was very patient and not at all perturbed about our car sitting in his shop for several weeks. Although I was told it would be about an 1.5hr wait for an oil change and tire rotation, all told I ended up spending 3 hours dealing with Midas. After receiving my car back upon the completion of service, multiple warning lights and messages including the change oil soon light were on that were not on before, requiring me to take my car back in for them to be reset. The technicians who worked on my vehicle also left the dash panel settings all changed from my original preferences/settings. None of this was ever messed with during previous oil changes at other shops. While Dale, the manager, was great, I am not terribly impressed with his staff and wont be returning.*EDIT*I returned, against my better judgement, for an inspection on a car that is only a bit over a year old. Nothing is wrong with the car. It should be a simple in and out process. Only one other individual was sitting in the waiting area; two cars were in the shop. Still, somehow, my inspection took 3 hours. Never, ever again.

I had my car oil changed first time here, and found they even fixed my window wipers without charging any. Two month later, my car brake had some strange noise, I decided to let them check my car. It was Saturday, they were very busy, but still squeezed me in. The technician told me it was the router damage, brake still had very long life, It was safe to drive till I didn’t feel comfortable when braking. I was very appreciated for their honsty. They are trustful and charge fair price. I will choose them to maintain my car in the future
