This is a great store! It was very clean, organized and welcoming. They are still going strong with Covid practices in place, which we appreciate, especially testing out and playing musical instruments.. The customer service was excellent. Everyone there was super cool and easy to talk to. We worked specifically with Nick, who was awesome! He was professional, friendly, knowledgeable and beyond helpful. We ended up buying a guitar and amp from him. We are very appreciative for the hard work from all of you. It was really busy when we first got there, and they checked customers out like a fine tuned oil machine and managed to help people on the floor as well.. 10 stars for Nick. We appreciate you! π€πΈ
Think were lucky to still have a few actual music stores that employ locals and provide places to sample gear in person and get same day supplies. I am happy to give them all the biz I can.
Fabulously, a very cozy place, excellent service, I got a guitar obviously not knowing which one to buy because it was for a girl who just started her guitar lessons, I asked for some suggestions and the very kind person helped me to choose the right one. Thank you so much. excellent service.
Love metro guitar center. Wally is always fun and insightful. I have my dream guitar on layawayβ¦. This whole staying home thing has pushed me to keep playing and I want to play something I have dreamt about. Layaway makes it easier to have that reality. Iβve gone there for years. Purchased several instruments through the years. I love the one by metro for the staff. There have been so many who dropped the heir of I am a genius. They talk, they share, they are honest and real people. Thank you guys. Iβll be back.
Best guitar coach! Super patient fun personality
Stopped in to buy my nephew a tuner and beginner book for bass. I am Guitar Center customer, but in NY. Sales rep so helpful. If I had never shopped in a Guitar Center, this would make me a customer
Just went to pick up some new guitar strings and picks. I didnt know that there is a youngster that is a guitar tech that knows just about all there is to know about a Axe. He clued me in on prices to get my guitar thats in great need of a complete restoration new pick ups, bridge, new neck, the youngster does it all really impressive store. Peoria and twenty something Ave just west of interstate 17.
They are quick and filled my needs in good shape Im very happy with them
The gentleman at the service counter diagnosed my simple wiring problem on my base. Offered to fix it while I waited if possible. Was back in 15 minutes. Great service!
A nice Guitar Center but there is a Guitar Center in Scottdale that really deserves a 5 star rating. I gave this one 4 stars but 3.5 to me sounds more accurate.
Was a lot cooler before they remodeled it in the 2010s. Perhaps the fire had something to do with it. Not much activity in here, or inventory.
Whent here on the off chance they had strings for my 3yr olds ukulele. They do have everything. They were nice to my kid who wanted to try all the drums as well, even telling him what the different drums were called when he asked.
My grandson and I were in there for an hour its so awesome
If I could leave zero starts then I would. Went into the store with $2,500 in hand ready to buy a new Les Paul for the upcoming semester, but after repeated attempts to get help; nobody in the store seemed to care that I was there to buy a guitar. A member of the team walked up to me and asked if I still had any questions and as I got around to telling him I wanted to see a specific guitar he said oh I thought you were someone else, and frantically walked away from me to help another customer... Meanwhile the manager who should be watching the floor is having a conversation at the register with someone who appeared to be his buddy... Ill never take my business back here and will be canceling my guitar center gear card based solely on my experience with this location. As someone whos spent well over $10k in this store; I will be forwarding this to corporate as well!
Excelent service wide veriety of equiptment
Their super helpful and knowledgeable staff is a good example of why youd still go to a retail store when you can just order online.
Half the electric drum kits they have dont work but enjoyed playing guitar
They are good but I called said my business wet up there and Avondale no drum Dept help to trade my drum set in. But otherwise cool place and good prices
Not enough employees working to get someone to unlock a guitar so I could try it out. I guess I will try Sam Ash I usually receive better service there
We made a stop here to buy a family member a new guitar for his 60th birthday. All we knew walking in was he wanted something similar to the one he had and thankfully we had a photo of it. I dont know if they staff didnt take us seriously or not, but no one jumped up to help us when we walking in looking a little lost. Not only did it take a while to get someone to help us, give us some feedback and grab the acoustic guitar down for us, but they take forever to also check you out. For what we spent it there, I hope they know to now not judge a book by its cover. We might not look like we belong in there but we spent a good amount of money and I hope they dont work on commission because none of the men their actually did their job enough to earn money off the sale.
I love going into the acoustic room here as there is a large selection of six and 12 string guitars along with bass acoustic. We needed some reeds for a clarinet and they were here. We then played around with drums. Its a great place to stimulate the musical senses of any human being. The staff was helpful and theres tons of variety and selection.
Great experience every visit. Good selection of modern and vintage string and percussion instruments.
5 string bass and New amp great customer service from Tony thanks dude very much appreciate your service today.
Took advantage of their trade up promotion. Was given a fair offer on my amp I was trading in plus I got the 15% discount on a new one. Their offer on my amp was about $15 less than what I figured I could pocket if I sold it on Reverb. That was good enough for me plus it saved me the hassle of selling my amp online and dealing with the shipping.
Rylie in the tech center was fantastic. 5/5 stars but otherwise its pretty disappointing asking to try a standard telecaster 3x and nobody seems to be able to help out. The place is intimidating for newbs and having some help would go a long way to selling some guitars guys... Its sad i stood there solo and totally ignored for over 20 minutes... I dont want to buy instruments online but at least Amazon doesnt make me feel like a dope.
Very grateful for the awesome rental department. Super easy to rent from and great prices too.
Its a great place they have everything and the employees are great
Good place, employees were friendly and helpful.
Place looked run down..The Drums on display were broken, run down and dirty
Guitar center is just like going to an ice cream store....
Very friendly and extremely helpful staff. Also recommending other locations, if they dont have the instrument you play.Absolutely, rocks π€π
The manager of that store has a very bad attitude, we were looking for a guitar to buy it and he told us to leave, it was because of our skin color
I know Guitar Center had been dealing with financial restructuring, but I honestly donβt see how they will survive with the shelves basically empty of actual product people want to buy.Guitar parts are basically non-existent and staff told me to just order online for a project where I need to take specific measurements before ordering. The guitar inventory is maybe 1/4-1/3 of what it used to be, and mostly cheap stuff. I donβt think there was a single Gibson in the store.Support your local music shops!
Always a helpful staff, and always a great selection of guitars amps, effects, etc.
Such friendly people, were able to help me figure out the best keyboard for me at the right price.
Always helpful fully covering your musical needs
Very nice and chill employees that let you just look and shop. Big and has lots of stuff in stock compared to other locations.
The staff in this Guitar Center insulted my religion and threw me out of the store. They made me feel unsafe and uncomfortable as four staff surrounded me and threatened to remove me. I have been a loyal guitar center customer for years and I was absolutely shocked that I was abused for my religion when shopping in this Guitar Center. Do not shop here. Do not support this business. Allegro Music or Montys Music are great local alternatives. If you are looking for something you cannot source locally - order it online. Do not give these people your business. Look local first. Beware.I will be uploading a video of my experience and linking it here shortly. I have attached a photo of one of the staff who harassed me.My faith has multiple tenants as to where I can not wear a mask. I have a long history of going to Guitar Centers and having respect being given to my faith. This particular location is discriminatory.Deuteronomy 1:17 states that the only one who can judge the face of Man is God. I am not permitted to cover my face in judgement to anybody but my Creator. Exodus states that Moses covered his face ONLY when he saw God. The story of Esther with Mordechai teaches the Jewish people not to bow to false gods, people, or commandments that betray our faith. My faith precludes me from the face coverings and this is one of very few establishments that has openly harassed me for my Faith.
Guitar Center is always awesome. Order some strings online got him quick got them curb side super easy.
Have been having a lot of difficulty with their warranty company and Im pretty upset about this and to the point of getting ready to call their corporate headquarters. However the storefront themselves is great. Its the third party Asurion thats been a royal pain in the butt for me.
I drive to this store just for the excellent guitar techs that are graduates of the legendary Roberto Venn School of Luthiery. Their hands are the only ones worthy of wielding my axe.
Staff here is awesome. I went in looking for some items to put together a Memory Picture board for my fathers funeral (He was the musician) and 1 of the guys there was super kind and helpful, now I could see why my dad liked going there so much.
Guitar Center can be pretty hit or miss, but trust me when I say this is one of the great ones. The new management really seems to have made this a great store. Whenever I am in Arizona, will always come here regardless of how far out of the way it may be. The people who work here are really great people and musicians just like us and they actually care. Austin is a truly awesome guitar tech and he is fantastic at what he does and incredibly passionate and it shows in his work. I would trust him with my instruments any day of the week. Believe me when I say this is the best guitar store in Phoenix. Everyone who works here is really great and it makes it a joy to come in these days. If you had any negative experience in the past, give them another chance as the new management is great and Im glad I came back in. Thanks for everything guys!
Very nice place. Upscale without tons of security lurking about.
Guitar Center has been the same for 20 years. Worst customer service. I literally stood at a counter for 10min. Looking at an employee that was standing 2 feet from me. Didnt even look at me. They must have similar policies as Best Buy.
Yeah, I love this place! Customer Service: OMG they know their work and CUSTOMER FRIENDLY. So is their online and telephone personnel. Wish i lived just a bit closer.
After being ignored for several minutes, I approached one clerk, began to state my purpose for being there. I was cut off mid sentence and told to talk to that guy over there. I began to ask about a specific brand of pickup that I saw in a display case. I told we dont really have too many of those come through here, so go see whats up on their website. Well that just cost guitar center my business. I have looked at the website, and wanted to converse with someone who may actually know a thing or two. Obviously this is not the place to go. Alpha Mike Foxtrot.
Every time I walk into this place, I feel at home. The customer service is phenomenal! I would reccomend this place to any musician looking for accessories. 5 stars from me. Thanks Guitar Center!
An electric guitar was listed online as available. There was a bit of confusion locating it at the Scottsdale store. I happened to notice it on a stand (not near the retail area, more towards repair area). It turned out it actually was a returned item. In the acoustic area at least 3 guitars I tried which were over $500 (pretty significant investment) had major issues with multiple strings just rattling (broken plate under bridge?). I brought one, a Martin, out to a rep on the floor and pointed it out. The reps were all super nice, but I was shocked that he already knew about these issues. Why the hell would you display a musical instrument that is unplayable? Thats freaking maddening given some people use a good amount of resources to make special trips to these stores to assess something thats going to mean a great deal to them! π
Fantastic staff.Great attitude and demeanor.staff member even demo used amp before purchase
Staff was knowledgeable and a little harried because it was busy. But over all I bought a harmonica and guitar stand. Got home the harp sounds great and the guitar is now standing on a stand instead of against the wall in the closet! Thanks Guitar Center!!
Not very crowded. Social distancing observed. Successfully returned an online ordered item and found the exact replacement in store. Ya!
Great staff, helpful and polite. Clean safe environment. Comparable prices to internet, like Amazon.
I have shopped here multiple times in the past few years for my sons guitars and equipment. The staff is always friendly and takes their time to make sure we have exactly what we need. My only complaint was that everyone else beat me to the Boss pedals I had on my Christmas shopping list.π€ͺ But, I was able to order the ones my son wanted.π
Guitar Center is one of my grandsons favorite places to go. He can try out guitars on the big amps and I love watching him play. The employees are friendly and helpful.
Lots of people waiting to be helped but not too many employees helping. Lacking many products that are available online but still a good store with knowledgeable staff.
Great selection, fair prices.
Guitar center is a nice place with a good customer service
Beautiful place I just wish I was rich so I could buy a lot of that great music guitars and amps.
Always enjoy the knowledge and advice the employees give. Very helpful.
Great place, all staff was friendly, knowledgeable and just overall awesome.
Always a good experience. Great staff. knowledgeable and helpful
Had what I needed, but lack of staff and what staff was there, didnt pay attention to the customers and were not very knowledgeable about what they did and didnt have(check your computer) ... I still enjoy shopping here on occasion
This place is awesome I love their acoustics room you can go in and check out the equipment before you buy it really awesome atmosphere and great service
Great staff and an excellent selection.
I love this place. Please dont go away like FryEle
Honestly, theres no better place in the world. Guitar Center has so many guitars, bass guitars, drums, pianos and djs on display you can play and test. Its like playing in luxury, with a wide amount of instruments you could play. Amazing, staff is amazing too, so helpful and chill. Whoever had the idea of guitar center, I love you and youre a genius. 11/10
This one has a really great selection and the people working there are truly willing to help and work with you. Its the kind of store I remember and I always go there for whatever I need for music and sound!
Great items & etc,, just seem workers dont want help or even sell things,, customers are like ya I need price on... then worker is like ya ok & walks away,, so my guess is order on line π€·π½ββοΈ
I came in thinking that I was going to use my Pro coverage because my guitar was falling apart. They sent me to the tech named Austin and he fixed everything 100% we didnt even have to use my Pro coverage. I love Jesus God is awesome and favor the Lord. Definitely would recommend this place to anyone and everyone.
I went in to get a bolt for my drum throne and because I have respetory issues I didnt have a mask. I made it inside about 5 feet and was yelled at for not wearing a mask, I explained to the girl that I cant wear a mask because I cant breathe. She yelled at me saying I dont care, leave!.Ive spent thousands of dollars in guitar center for my drum equipment, not anymore!! Yall lost my business on account of her stupid and uncaring attitude.
Big selection.
Walking into Guitar Center is depressing. I was in the market to buy a guitar. (I ended up buying elsewhere later that day) they had three guitars that I wanted to compare.I had a hard time figuring out who worked there, the only way to tell was by finding the people who werent making eye contact or conversation with customers. Eventually the manager helped me get one guitar down. The amp that I was directed to had the IEC port pushed in. So it was unusable. The salesman seemed disinterested They then suggested that I plug into a solid state modeling amp.Ok, so we started off disappointing, the first guitar I played was a LTD EC-1000, good thing I had done my research, because they couldnt answer any of my questions. The guitar played well so I was looking forward to playing its cousin. Holy cow, the setup was terrible. The guitar was nearly unplayable. I told the manager that I was disappointed with the setup, he shrugged his shoulders and walked into his office. I set the guitar in the stand and left no reason to play the Viper 1000.No reason to ever go back to Guitar Center. I ended up buying an EC1000 at another store. Thats a pretty good sale I think. I guess thats why GC is in and out of bankruptcy protection on a regular basis.
Wally and the rest of the staff are always welcoming and know us by name. Wally knows us and recΓ lls everything we need and is always going above and beyond to make each visit excellent and fulfilling. Thank you Wally π
Fantastic. Awesome service. Prompt delivery.
Staff very helpful π
Shelves are kind of empty. No tenor banjo beginning books. Still a really cool store.
Always a good experience. Professional people.
Lots of great help in the audio dept
Lots of fun stuff to browse here. If hobby lobby could be next door, I could spend hours here while my wife was there!
As a many year customer, Guitar Center is my go to place for all instrument, music and audio needs. All their prime brand products are great, sometimes their lower tier brands are really good, and they stand by their guarantee and warranties and provide services to help you stay loyal customer. Customer service sometimes is lower than expected, mostly on the audio technician side. Just recently I went in and had a not so pleasant experience with an employee, that seemed like he didnt even want to be there, let alone help me. He gave the typical Can I help you sir? but in a not so willing way, more in a I have to because its my job kind of way. I do understand we all have our days, but this wasnt a single case. Just a couple days later I went back in and purchased another product I needed and forgot my Gear Card. Usually they can look up my card and account with no issue when this happens, but for some reason he was not having it. At first, he didnt want to look it up saying, Really man? For $15 you want to do this (I think this is very rude, your the employee and I am the customer, this is a rude way of addressing the situation), when I insisted he began to look it up but was having problems looking up. Eventually I gave him all the appropriate info and was out of there. Sadly, there are few stores close to me so this is my go to place, but if I had to chose, I would go to another store.
First let me say I went to Berkeley college of music and I know my stuff anywho I walked in with an issue and they were very quick to take care of it Austin is an amazing guitar tech and the sales person Tim was so friendly and knowledgeable that I actually felt obligated to buy a new guitar, which I did
Great service as always
They didnt have the Slayer Funko Bobbleheads like the web said they do. Meep.
I had 2 old guitars restrung and cleaned up by Austin. They look and sound incredible! Thank you for doing an amazing job. I feel like I have 2 new guitars.
Always helpful not overbearing let you shop in peace until you ask for help. Lacks the neighborhood music store personality. That shop owner who knows you and talks to you about what he can help with.
Set up nicely to deal with the pandemic. First place Ive gone to in public since this started (besides essentials) and felt safe. Very knowledgeable & helpful staff too
Bought an electronic keyboard. Nice selection, helpful staff.
So unhappy with our experience and will never be back. With our county implementing new mask restrictions the past few days, it didnt surprise me when my husband and I arrived at this location and saw a sign asking masks to be worn. However when we tried to explain to the employee, and later the manager Scott, that we were medically exempt according to the countys mandate and CDC regulations, they did not care and would not allow us entry. They dont care that this is an ADA violation. We will never be back.
