It was my first visit since we lost Dr Johnson. There were some new faces on staff. I felt very comfortable with everyone. I miss Dr Johnson. To be honest, I cried a bit when sat in that chair in the eye exam room and saw all of his lenses. The new doc was very understanding. Dr J made a good choice.

Everyone at Advanced Eye Care is ALWAYS so kind and helpful! We definitely miss Dr. Johnson, but he made an excellent decision, when he chose Dr. Alsadi to carry on his legacy. It has been almost 4 years since I last had my vision checked at advanced eye care Center.They are one of the most professional offices I have ever dealt with, starting with the phone call to reestablish myself. It was as if I had never left their care, I was made to feel welcomed and I had a very short time to wait for my appointment.Dr. Johnson and his assistant did a thorough check on my eyes. He assured me that my vision had barely changed in the past four years and it wasn’t necessary for me to buy new lenses, unless I wanted to replace my frames therefore no purchase was necessary. 🤩 Thanks Dr. Johnson!!I highly recommend Advanced Eye Care center and I am positive you will enjoy spending time with his staff as well as Dr. Johnson.SM

Everything about my appointment was great! The option to submit forms online reduced time spent in the seating area. Check in was quick and wait time was minimal. The technician performing eye checks was friendly and efficient. The technician who measured frames and lenses was knowledgeable, helpful and patient focused. But most importantly, new Doctor Waleed Alsadi was A+. He was courteous, confident, professional and comprehensive. My husband snd I were both deeply saddened by the passing of Dr. Johnson. We were long-time patients of his. We knew whoever he chose to assume the care of his patients would be top notch and Dr. Alsadi did not disappoint. We’re happy to have Dr. Alsadi as our new Optometrist.

My teenage daughter has a difficult prescription and Advanced Eye Care has been able to fit her with the perfect contact lenses and glasses over the last few years. Every single person in that office is fantastic! I walked in and was immediately acknowledged and welcomed with a smile. The technician and Dr. Johnson were friendly and thorough, and took time to explain everything. The lady that helped me pick out frames listened to what I wanted and did a great job of helping me narrow down choices and go through options. There is no pushy up-selling. They are coordinated and knowledgeable and my glasses even came in ahead of schedule!

This was my first visit and in one word to describe my visit is WOW. From the moment I arrived I was greeted by a very friendly and welcoming reception staff. They set the tone for the rest of the visit. Every staff member I came in contact with was knowledgeable and explained everything as they went through the exam, so I knew what they were doing and why. Ive never had that with my previous I doctor or his staff. So it was very nice to experience that. My experience with Dr. Johnson one on one was great! He was able to speak with me about my concerns and explain what he was doing in a way for me to understand. I did not have that with my previous doctor. So thank you to Dr. Johnson for making this a great visit and making your office a place that I would want to come back to and a place that I will recommend to everyone. Lastly, but certainly not least was choosing a pair of glasses. Sharon was amazing, she was very knowledgeable and like all the other staff members I interacted with during the visit, she was able to explain the different products in a way for me to understand and in a way for me to make an educated decision on what to choose for my lenses. Advanced Eye Care Center has new, refreshing personnel: Shelly did the preliminary check on my eyes first. She’s really nice & so personable. Dr. Johnson is still wonderful, professional, & funny. I think he’s great! Venecia assisted me in choosing my new frames & bless her, she picked out several for me. It was between two frames; I liked the indigo flowered-edged Draper James & Venecia did. We got Michelle’s opinion between the two; & she chose them, also.Everyone in the office is happy, very helpful, & sweet. I have been going to Target Optical for years, despite most of the time they were considered out of network for me. I love Target Optical and have never had any problems.This year, however, I had a baby and decided to go somewhere in network to save a few dollars. It was an early appointment, at 8:20am, the only one they had open. I live in north phoenix and am breastfeeding a teething baby, but I decided to do my best with arriving on time. (Had to do a 3am night feeding in addition to wake up early to pump milk before I left).I walked into the office at 8:32am. They refused to see me because I was past the 10 minute window. BY 2 MINUTES. I also want to add that nowhere on any of their paperwork (I showed up with my paperwork already printed AND COMPLETED) or website does it say anything about this 10 minute window. I also received no phone call at 8:30 wanting to reschedule. I spoke with the office manager, and she supported the decision to refuse service to me even after I explained my long drive from far North Phoenix and breastfeeding obligations. I guess if you are wanting to try this office, dont dare show up 11 minutes late, no matter the excuse, and you might have a good experience. For me on the other hand, I would not go to this office if they were the last optical office in the valley. I would rather go to Target where they have always been great to me, even if I show up 11 minutes late.Response to owner: If you insist on standing by this 10 minute rule, then you really should advertise it on your paperwork and website so your patients do not waste their time/gas if they are running late. I also find it interesting that you changed your response to Eric Gardners complaint regarding a long wait time, after I posted my complaint. In your original message you had said sometimes we need to change our schedule to accommodate an emergency. I wish I had taken a screenshot. Lesson learned.Having a patient wait 12 minutes for an appointment is not ludicrous, and I would say is actually somewhat expected, but refusing service to someone who arrives 12 minutes late with no previous mention of a 10 minute late window IS. Especially since it sounds like you are more than willing to make accommodations for people who have an obvious physical disability. Let me give you some insight your office seems to be lacking... not all disabilities are physically evident, and it is not up to you to deem one more serious than the other. You need to make this 10 minute rule public knowledge to your new patients, or I can only assume there was some type of prejudice involved in your decision to refuse service to me. It is certainly appearing that way.

Advanced eye care center is by far the best practice Ive ever been to! The staff is so helpful and the doctor has been in business for over 30 years. He definitely knows how to resolve any eye issues you may have. Ill be recommending them to all my friends and family!

I’ ve been looking for an eye doctor that will actually take the time to really dial in an accurate prescription, for many years now. I’ve tied most of the chains and have always felt rushed through and have never come away with a script that I can actually see with, until now. Dr Johnson and staff were all very nice and professional and I finally have an eye doctor that cares about whether I can see with the script or not and will take the time to make sure it’s right. I have always had good quality service at Advanced Eye Care Center. They may be a little higher priced then some other places ( an I have been to them). I prefer quality when it comes to my eyes.

Dr. Johnson definitely makes sure you get the best fitting contact lenses. I have been to many eye exam places and they were pretty much the same. Most of them just rush through the exam and give you a prescription that kind of works. I had three follow up appointments with Dr Johnston to try out different lenses to determine the best fitting one.

This time though I went to Advanced Eye Care and was thoroughly impressed with the treatment they gave me as a customer even while just waiting to be seen all the way through to seeing the doctor and sitting down and finding frames for my new glasses.
