Ive been a happy customer, with diabetes and astigmatism, for years.

Located near the heart of downtown I have come to experience and expect nothing less than royalty treatment at this Optical Expressions location! The frame options are very diverse and feature the best luxury brands for endless unique and trendy styles with many options for variation. Today Jennifer worked above and beyond to meet my very specific and picky requirements and was focused on making sure I had the best experience. All of her recommendations had my best interests in mind versus her being pushy for the company. If you want a unique comfy experience with your eye care and needs, then Optical Expressions should be your first stop!!

I am very happy to have found Dr.Wilken at Optical Expressions. The office is in a charming cottage house and the staff are friendly and helpful. Great and thorough exam and then to pick out frames with Samara! What fun that was! Super sweet and gave me plenty of time and feedback. Her smile and laugh makes my day! Highly recommend!

My glass fix so nicely, Samara and Yurie did an amazing job with getting the perfect frames for me and checking up on when my glasses come in.

Everyone at the office was pleasant and answered all my questions. The provider also made sure to explain the reasoning behind her recommendations which I appreciated.

Following a routine exam, the staff (at me request) adjusted my frames 4 times in the following week. after becoming tired of inept attempts, I took them to a real opthalmy practice, where the staff showed me that the bow of the frames were cracked. It is necessary for me to purchase new, undamaged frames. PLEASE, do NOT trust your glasses to this practice.

I went here back in 2019. Not a great experience. Chacon got my prescription and axis wrong. They had to remake my glasses three times. I kept saying the prescription was not right and that I instantly got a headache from eye strain when I put on the glasses, but he kept insisting it was correct. They told me to give it some time to adjust. Ive never had to let my glasses/contacts adjust before, I usually put the new prescription on with a sigh of relief because things are crisper and clearer. Eventually I saw Gabriel who fixed the prescription, but the damage to my trust is done. I had to go here 5 times over the span of a few weeks to get all of this sorted and I still think the axis of my glasses isnt perfect. But I couldnt stand going back yet again. I do love the frames I got from here, but I will be looking elsewhere for my eye care.

I called this morning to see if the office had an opening available for an eye exam today. The girl who answered the phone said we have an opening at 11:00am. I let her know that would be great and she got my information. When I arrived to my appointment they said I did not have an appointment and asked if I called the wrong number. I hung up and checked the phone number I had called when I made the appointment in case I was at the wrong office. Sure enough it was the same number. I did call back but because I couldnt remember who I spoke to in the morning they didnt even bother to ask the other employees if someone talked to me. After reading the other reviews I now realize this happens often.

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. I came in the other day for an early morning appointment. I was about 10 minutes late due to an accident. I tried to explain myself and the receptionist just started yelling at me telling me to get out and she didn’t even let me talk all because I was late. I would have never imagined being treated so poorly at my regular doctors office. Not only are the receptionists awful, but I see every employee on their phone all the time. Patients just piling up in the waiting room while I see these so called “employees” on their phones in the back. I will never come back here again. Unless you want to experience the hatred I have then take my advice, never come here. Save your money and mental health space.

Just picked up my glasses from Yurie at the Willo District! They came back so nice and I appreciate these girls so much for working hard through a horrible time in our country. Yurie made sure everything was as I wanted, I believe she is the manager and I can see why! If you guys need a good eye Dr this is the place to go.

First time here & what a lovely office ! The girls where extremely nice to me & my family . Yurie was beyond helpful with trying to find glasses for me and my children ( whom are super excited !). Will most definitely be coming back next year and telling all my friends & family about it. Great place !

I normally do not write reviews, but today I experienced superb customer service. I thought I had a contact lens stuck under my top lid and I was seen within 30 minutes of calling. All of the staff was very friendly and the doctor was excellent. I have been in the eye care business for many years and this office really must have great management. Great job guys, I will be back.

It seems contact manufacturers no longer make enhancer lenses. After extensive research on behalf of the optometrist and staff we were able to locate exactly what I wanted! I also had new lenses replaced with gradient tint on a total of 3 frames. The frames were not purchased here, but were still accepted and lenses were replaced. I love them and appreciate the friendly helpful staff!

This place is great! All the ladies were so nice and had outstanding customer service. I plan to go back in a couple months to purchase another pair of prescription glasses. I highly recommend this place 💯😃 the frames are all name brand and fabulous

Horrible experience. I called to make an appt. for first available and spoke to Jen(?). I expressed that I needed prescription safety glasses and contacts ASAP for work. I was informed that today was booked up unless I could come in at 11:45. This phone call took place at 11:41!! I verified that she meant in literally 4 minutes, checked with my office, and then told her I was headed there now. (Luckily, I work 2 miles down the road) Upon arrival, there was no parking. The only option is to double park- parking behind another car or pulling into 2nd row and risk being blocked. Once I entered the office, I was asked if I was in for a routine exam or a health check. I was informed that I hung up too quickly and Jen was new AND you need to arrive 15 minutes before a routine exam so unfortunately they could not see me. Thank goodness I have a call recorder on my phone-these people are full of excuses!! Our conversation was not cut short by me hanging up...if someone doesnt know that an exam for glasses/contacts is not a health check such as pinkeye, they probably should be not be answering the phone...they also should not be telling people to come to an appt in 4 minutes if youre required to be there 15 minutes early. Will never try to schedule here again.

Well worth 2 weeks for glasses.

So Ive been going to this facility for 2 years and wearing glasses for 20 years. My optometrist is really nice and usually the high spot of my visit. But the front end experience and picking out and ordering glasses is on par with some place in the mall. Pretty much, dont expect experts or knowledge in that department. Today was my breaking point. I called to have them work a quote for me on replacing my frames as they were recently damaged. The receptionist was beyond rude and unfriendly enough so that Im inclined to write this review. I dont care if its 10 minutes before you close on a holiday. Be polite I was only asking for a call back on quote. Thankfully this was enough for me to push me to check my insurance for another provider. Hurray my old optometrist is now covered. No more sub par service for me.

I cant say enough good things about Ashley at Optical Expressions.I broke my glasses after wearing them for about 9 years. I had no backup pair, and it was Saturday. I cannot read without my glasses. I found a LensCrafters that did eye exams on Sunday. I went in and got my exam done. When I went to choose my glasses, I found that all of LensCrafters glasses were horrible for me.I decided I really needed a replacement of the same frames I had (Silhouettes). I Googled all the Silhouette dealers near me and Optical Expressions was the closest. I called them on Monday and told them I had a prescription. They told me they would fill it for me and they gave me a bunch of different options for appointments. I made one for Tuesday morning.When I arrived, I discovered that there were no similar glasses on the shelf. All the lenses were too large for my face (I have small face). Ashley took my old frames and searched the archives for my old glasses and found a new lens with similar dimensions. She told me she could also fix my old glasses, but would need to order a part. She told me the glasses might take a week and a half to 2 weeks, but she could get the part and fix the old ones before the new ones came in. She helped me pick a new frame that was similar to my old one, took down the options I wanted, and placed my order.The glasses were ready quicker than expected, only about a week. When I returned to pick up my new glasses, Ashley adjusted them to fit my face and also repaired my old glasses and adjusted them as well. My new glasses case did not contain a microfiber cloth, I asked her about them and she gave me a couple new ones.All throughout the process she was super friendly and extra helpful. I highly recommend Optical Expressions and thank you Ashley for all the help.

*Update:The prescription really was that much better. I’ve actually been able to wear my contacts. Dr Wilken is awesome!**I had my first appointment 3 weeks ago today, and I was SO excited about it because of all the positive reviews. I’ve had glasses for years, and I attempted to switch to contacts about a year ago, but they made my eyes so watery I felt like I could see better without anything. Dr. Erika Wilken was AWESOME, she listened to all of my concerns and I believe that this prescription would have been so much better than last time.But that’s just it. It’s been 3 weeks and I still haven’t been able to try out the new contacts. I was told they would be ready to pick up in 3-5 Days. After a week, I called, and was told there was some sort of delay and they would follow up with the company. A few days later I called and was told the same thing, and a few days later the same thing. Today I called planning on asking for a refund so that I could go get an examination elsewhere and likely get new contacts before anyone followed up with the contact company. I was told that my contacts had arrived today and that they had left a message this morning. I never received a message. When I confirmed my phone number they had the last 2 digits mixed up even though I’d confirmed my number before I left the first appointment.I totally understand that the contact company delayed the order, but the lack of communication made it go from annoying to unacceptable. Additionally at the end of my first visit I wasn’t thrilled with the customer service provided by the staff.

After having a bad experience at another establishment, I saw Dr. Melissa Gabriel. Shes my favorite eye doctor ever. She listened to my needs and corrected my vision...boom! With the contacts I see clearer than I have in a long time. I also got a pair of glasses for working on the computer, which I do all day long. Theyre amazing. Apparently, Ive wasted years going to the wrong eye doctors. Im so happy to have found her.

The staff were polite and friendly. I had no problems. Im guessing the only reviews that get written are by disgruntled customers. This is my second pair of glasses in 5 years from this location.

Had an appt this morning..ended up leaving. Sad.. Ive been giving Dr. Wilken my business yearly for some time. I believe she is most caring and the ultimate professional. I just didnt like how i was being treated and talked to by the staff. I will miss Dr. Wilken dearly but I believe I dont deserve to be treated without respect. I guess its just time to go elsewhere.

Front person and the person I talked with on a phone were kind of rude and unfriendly. Front office could ruin medical practice, these people need more customer service training.

They were ok. Nothing spectacular. Doctor was ok. Kinda not friendly.
