Had coffee at “The Refuge“ at the Phoenix airport mid afternoon on 10-04-21. Tony and his co-worker understood customer service. Greeted you with a smile, kept conversation positive with all travelers. Both men knew how to connect on a personal level and made all customers feel special. I‘m writing this because my best friend and I spend 4 days in Sedona and customer service was hard to find. So HAT OFF to Tony and the young man ( sorry I don’t remember his name) ….THANK YOU

I love this place, it is by the B gates - American Airlines so its never crowded. You can get coffee, beer, wine, sandwiches and salads. Trust me, on weekends when its crowded, this is the place to get out of the crowded places. The owner is highly in lower and plays awesome funk music and is friendly and makes everyone feel welcome. Wine and food are good

Waited 10 minutes for my $9.00 drink. We are in an airport and there is no sense of urgency from the employees. I attempted to inform the person making my drink that I had about 1-2 minutes before they closed my gate and his response was I dont know what to tell you.Any other response could have been better. Unbelievably rude. Proceeded to move even slower. The gate attendants tried to get my drink after I was on the plane. No drink. No Fs given from your employee, $9.00 wasted from me. I will never try to get anything from your company and I will be vocal in advising others the same.

Man....term 4, B Gate, refugee coffee is the spot. My man Tony and my girl Emmy made oir pretty flight experience! So personable and nice, and started out trip to cabo right! Promote them all and give them raises!Thanks Tony! Go Bears!

Its all been said before, yet, I will reiterate that Tony and his team have mastered the art of customer service. Besides the delicious breakfast burrito I got, I felt respected as a customer; which is unfortunately hard for some of us to come by, even when spending our hard earned money at businesses. Very friendly atmosphere. Best customer service I ever got anywhere. Youve earned yourself another regular that will make it a point to stop by anytime I go through phoenix.

Had a wonderful breakfast here. The cashier was incredibly friendly and sincere, making everyone feel at home. This location opened at 5:30 am on the Saturday that I was in Terminal 4. It is located near Gate B9. I got the Ultimate Breakfast Panini with a Late and it was delicious. Best part, there are charging stations in the seating area.

Antonio has great energy and customer service skills! Very welcoming. Food was awesome, coffee as well! Highly reccomended!

This place was the hero of T4 gate B when I was there on April 29th. As many of the other food establishments started closing for the evening, Refuge stayed opened serving customers queuing up for good food, drinks and excellent customer service long after they should have closed. I will definitely stop in again when my travels take me through T4 Gate B. Refuge is not only in their name, its the environment they create❣

I was blown away at how friendly and kind the staff were here when I went through Phoenix airport. Ridiculously early in the morning and ridiculously busy they brought a smile to every traveler they dealt with including me. Great coffee and breakfast too.

I was half asleep making my connection in PHX and it wasn’t the coffee (although it’s delicious) but the energy and thoughtfulness that these people have that gave me life! Every time I’m at the airport I drop by The Refuge for a coffee. The coffee is good but the people there are remarkable. Somehow, they find a way to connect authentically to every customer and make sure they leave happy and more positive than they arrived. This may sound simple but it’s so uncommon today. These people are doing something truly special and it makes a real difference. Thank you to the entire Refuge team, the caffeine is great but the positive energy is wonderful!!!!

OMG. Arrived on Saturday at 3:00pm wanting to try some food and maybe some coffee. This location was closed saying it would reopen at 4pm! That’s when my flight boarded. Why would you do this to your customers? 😭

Literally some of the best customer service we have EVER SEEN. The wonderful staff that works in this cafe is phenomenal. They are so kind, friendly, and genuine toward their customers and to each other despite being swarmed with so many customers- most of which are in a rush. I have never had such an amazing eating experience- especially in a busy airport! The food was amazing and the coffee was delicious. What a ray of light during one of our more hectic trips. Absolutely love this place. I could not recommend this more. Do yourself a favor and go to this cafe!!!!!!!

Stopped by The Refuge Coffee Food and Wine while waiting for a layover flight in Terminal 4 of Sky Harbor Airport in Phoenix. There was a very long line, and I had just gotten off a midnight flight from Anchorage, so I was very tired but desperate for caffeine. I decided to wait out the line since I was waiting for a flight anyway. To my surprise, I was at the front of this long line before I could even decide exactly what I wanted. I got my coffee very quickly, and was super impressed. More than anything else, I appreciated the friendliness and smiling face of the man behind the register. He even upgraded my coffee to a large when I told him Id been flying overnight for the past 8 hours. Five stars all the way!!!

The two young men at the counter who take your order are exceptional at what they do. Two of the most pleasant, and enthusiastic people I have ever encountered. They do an excellent job of upselling, and you are happy to give them your money at the end. If I owned a company that needed sales people, these are the first two guys I would recruit. The Refuge is worth the walk down to the end of Gate B. As a side note, the coffee is good too.

Let me first say that the people were very nice and helpful.Not sure how you can ruin a bagel but they were awful.I ordered 4 toasted everything with cream cheese and I got 4 PLAIN that were so rubbery it hurt to chew them. It was like they microwaved toasted bagels I don’t get it.So nice but terrible bagels. I hope they improve.

Serving staff greet all visitors with friendly attitude and smiles. Made my husband and I feel welcome. Every customer after us had a good laugh and left with a smile on their face. These young men are making their corner of the world a great place to visit!!

The customer service was amazing. The barrista took time with each customer in the if a busy airport and left the people waiting for coffee and food pleasantly entertained. He asked a level of passion for the role that goes beyond most. The food was also excellent. Well definitely make a point to return.

Just had an outstanding experience here!I usually am way too busy(haha) to write reviews, but I was served by Darius, and he is awesome.He greeted me with enthusiasm, asked me my name, and shook my hand. Then used my name three more times before I left.The world is made better by people like Darius.

Great food and awesome people the name fits. The workers all types great people if I am in section B even if not at the end closet I make the effort to go there. All the way at end but well worth good fresh food. I use a cane and I still go out of my way for them my 5th time will keep going with them. So much love to The Refuge ❤❤❤❤

This is a part of The Refuge on 7th ave. Most of the menu is the same. Great lavender latte! The staff is very friendly and food was fresh. Nice to support a local business at the Air port.

I’ve been to this airport three time now and every time I stop in to grab a coffee. The people working here are always super friendly and personable. Always nice to have good service not like all the other chain coffee shops like Starbucks (and they have better coffee too)

I tried Refuge coffee for the first time and Darius made me the best dirty Chai tea latte!!! His customer service was also outstanding. I will definitely come back, the next time I visit Phoenix.

Excellent service with extremely friendly employees. Opened just before the first flight of the day...it is not a 24 hour place. If you need a quick bite to eat or drink this is the place in B Gate (Terminal 4).
