Called to get a child’s dirt bike tire fixed. Told to come right in for same day. Older lady barked at us when got there saying she couldn’t do it that day. Super caffeinated and unique. After we looked at the bike decided needed a new brake line also. Told they would keep the bike for 5 days and quoted me $62. This is a $50 used bike. Sad this is what it’s come to.

Mary is the BEST! She is super friendly and helpful. I’m a beginner cyclist and had my bike fitting done today. She helped me get the perfect fit and clearly explained her adjustments. Also taught me how to use the clipless pedals for the first time. :)Overall, I’d 100% recommended getting a fitting done with Mary so you get the most comfortable and efficient ride. The bike was night and day after going in to Bike Barn!

The shop went out of their way to find the part I needed. Initially, the part I ordered was not actually in stock. However, the shop contacted their sales rep and was able to get the part I needed. They then shipped it out as soon as possible. I really appreciated the extra effort they went through to help me out.

First-time non-Walmart bike buyers here. We were up from Tucson for the day and needed to buy/order a bike promised to my wife for Christmas. Shed done the online research to know about what she wanted, we stopped by with the kids in tow to let her sit on a few, as the Bike Barn happened to have some in stock.We swung in just before closing time, too. And our kids … well, I asked if the shop does consignment and he told me wed probably still owe them money if we tried selling them through the store.Not only did she get to sit on those on the racks (she didnt like as much as she thought), but the friendly fella that was helping us built one for her to try out. It just got off the truck. It was PERFECT!They stayed late to help us - great for us so we didnt need to return from Tucson to try this bike out! Also great for business, as we left after spending over $500.Would absolutely recommend this place. Theyre friendly (everyone smiled all the time - so much so that you could see it through their masks!), accommodating and very patient. Grateful for a solid group!

We love The Bike Barn! We have a tall 5-year-old. They installed spiffy custom training wheels on a Trek bike based on his height. Our son was mostly focused on the bike accessories. The gentleman who sold us the bike noticed and installed a bell for free. I recently called to inquire about fixing a flat tire on my Bob jogging stroller, which they advised to drop off (will do when I get more time). Overall a really cool place to have in the neighborhood.

The staff was extremely friendly and helpful with input on bike selection for my needs and profile (Trek Marlin 6) and a hitch bike rack for an upcoming cross-country trip. They had the Thule T2 Pro XT rack in stock and assembled it for me for pick up at my convenience. I will return to them for future bike and accessory needs.

Bike Barn in Phoenix has something for everybody, every level of a rider! The selection in the store is always phenomenal, the store is very easy to shop and find what you need and if they don’t have it they will order it. The service is excellent, from anything such as a flat tire, to a complete tuneup, they can do it and do it well!They are a huge part of our cycling community, they have some organized group rides and you always feel like family when you walk in there!

This place is the best mom and pop bike store in Phoenix. Dave serviced my bike recently and I can confidently say, he/they really know what they’re doing. I was in and out in no time! They made a lifetime customer out of me.

Bought my 21’ Trek Roscoe 7 in August, it’s been a terrible 2 1/2 months. Ownership has been plagued with reliability issues with mediocre service. Derailleur was replaced after the first two weeks of ownership, that repair took 8 days that was a good experience. When I went to pick it up it wasn’t shifting right but was better than before even though I expressed concern to the tech, I took it home anyway (shouldn’t have). My first ride after the service was done my chain came off and scratched up my spokes. I continued to ride with the terrible 2-3/3-4 shifting issues while never using 1st as I knew it was a problem. Took the bike out to a trail and experienced shifting issues all day, to top it off I noticed my fork seals were blown too. Took the bike back to bike barn for warranty. Was told the rear hub had failed and the forks needed rebuilt. 13 days later still no call or update on repairs. I called for the status and was told that the rear hub still hadn’t been ordered and the forks still needed rebuilt. Sounds like the bike will be down another 8-10 days. Since purchased, the bike has spent almost a month in the shop total as of this writing. Not to mention it’s a 1hr 20 minute drive to bring the bike in for service x’s 3 round trips. Service dept. is very friendly but sadly not very prompt.

I have been to the Bike Barn twice and both experiences have been subpar. The interactions have been impersonal and bordering on rude. No one has ever taken the time to get to know me or my cycling needs. Usually at specialty retail stores that serve a niche market, a concerted effort is made to get to know their patrons. Not so at the Bike Barn. My experiences were very mechanical and dry. Both times, I was told that I was incorrect about something and I was made to feel unwelcome.

It started with awesome service by Kenny who answered my million questions and helped me find the best bike for me with ZERO sales pitch or pressure. Then Mary was incredibly professional and polite while helping me get the order placed. Finally, on the day my bike arrived I got a timely phone call about when I could pick it up and found it to be in great condition and assembled with great care. Very excited to get some miles on it!

Good service all around, I tested several bikes, asked many questions and all the staff was very helpful and provided knowledgeable advice based on my needs. As a beginner in mountain biking I recommend this shop so they help you get the right bike. I got a Specialized Rock-hopper and Im very satisfied with my purchase.

Looked around several places for a new hard tail for about 1K. I found Mary to be the most informative when explaining the differences in brands and what you are getting when spending more or less. I would highly recommend them. I felt the Specialized Rockhopper Expert 1X fit my budget and performance needs perfectly.

I always refer friends and family to Bike Barn. I bought an Electra from them years ago and loved it until it was stolen this past Christmas Eve. I was given a bike as a gift a few months ago but just couldnt fall in love with it like I had with my Electra. So after contacting the store, Dave (resident friendly bike store advisor) let me know that they do trades! Huzzahh! I cant say enough good things about Chris and the team at bike barn. I purchased an E-bike online (wish I didnt and shouldve waited until I arrived in Phoenix) had a problem with the motor and controller after 30 miles. Chris couldve said Im not familiar with this model (another store did) and blown me off but NO, he dove right in found the manufacturer, ordered the replacement parts & put in back together and its like a new bike -- well it was actually new. Kudos to Chris and the Bike Barn. GREAT SERVICE

I took my bike to another local shop once; the gentleman there claimed that my bike was beyond repair, and offered to buy it for parts. I declined, and took it to Bike Barn instead, where the crew looked over my bike, diagnosed a small problem, and fixed it for free. I was already a fan of Bike Barn, but that day cemented my choice. During COVID-19 I called to purchase two e Bikes. Mary was wonderful, she communicated with me after business hours on the telephone due to the situation and being very busy, we worked through the purchase and if she were the only person I had to deal with, this would be a 5 star rating.I am located in Tucson, and I traveled out to pick up both bikes with the type of bike rack that was specified: a hitch mounted platform style rack.A young man helped to secure the bikes and he was not helpful at all.The young man was in a rush, condescending and we ended up putting one of the bikes in the back of my Honda Passport.When I arrived back at my home I was met by a friend who I needed to help me lift the bike out of the lift gate (I am 64 years of age and have lyme disease) who noted that the bike he placed on my rack was not put on it properly and if it had been both bikes would have fit perfectly. The mirror on the bike in the Passport had fallen off. It was not broken, and we were able to reinstall it properly.When the young man at your establishment and I were putting it into the back of my vehicle he insisted that he would need to take the wheel off, and I pointed out that if we put it in front wheel first, it would fit. He did it the way I suggested, and it did, in fact, fit in my vehicle without taking off the wheel.If I wanted to assemble the bike myself I would have purchased it from REI, as I had initially discussed on the phone with Mary, it would have been delivered to my home and I would not have driven to Phoenix from Tucson to pick it up where Mary said it would be placed on my rack for me, as long as it was a platform rack.The rack is rated for 150 pounds.He kept telling me that my bikes were going to be damaged and I had to travel hundred of miles. When I asked what damage he said I would damage the chain guard. I asked to have Mary come out and inspect it, and she said that because I put a cloth on it I would be fine. I mentioned to him that I was traveling one hundred miles.His demeanor was not comforting to me and I was worried the entire trip back to Tucson.I understand that this is a pandemic and all of us are dealing with social distancing and we are all a bit anxious, however, I purchased $3200 in bicycles and accessories, and brought two friends in another vehicle to purchase accessories for their bicycle, and when they saw the way I was treated (they live in Camelback) they will shop closer to their home rather than to shop at the Bike Barn.

Brought my neglected commuter bike in for a long overdue tune up/overhaul. Re-cabled both brakes and derailleurs, trued up the wheels, etc. I even brought my own replacement brake levers (non-STI, long pull road levers, kind of unusual) and they were totally cool with it. When I picked it up everything was set up perfectly, it rides like new! Nice job, worth the drive up from Chandler for quality workmanship.

Every community needs a good place to eat, some places to gather, and a great bike shop. We have bought 3 cruiser bikes from Bike Barn. We always receive wonderful service when we need a repair. The service is friendly, and the location could not be better.

Hamilton went beyond the extra mile to help me pick out a new set of road wheels that are perfect for my needs and budget. He then disassembled and cleaned the rear cogs and installed on my new back rim, all without charge! They are real pros and I go to them for all my cycling needs.
