I’ve watched the owners skip lunch breaks and days off to make sure customers get their bikes. Troy and Justin are hands down some of the hardest working bike techs I know and they’ll still take time out of their day to educate you and help you source the parts you need. They’re fantastic guys running a great business.

Not sure why it is, but it has been my experience that certain types of businesses always seem to have certain types of people that I refer to as surlies. Theyre supposed to be the experts in the field and they think that entitles them to be condescending or treat you like youre just not as ubercool as they are for not knowing everything about their particular field. Bicycle shops have always seemed to be replete with these type of surlies. So, needless to say, the first time I headed into Blackbird bike I was not expecting to find something any different.Well ...Thats what I get for assuming.The guy that was here at Black Bird (and Im sorry that I didnt get his name) completely shattered the stereotype.He was super cool, friendly, and very helpful. He took care of the issue with my bike in no time and explained it to me in simple terms without being condescending in any way. I learned something and had a totally positive experience. I dont see myself taking any of my bikes anywhere else in the foreseeable future.

Real quick turnaround on shocks rebuild. Justin likes doing shocks and has many parts in stock. Other shops were too busy building bikes to sell to provide service but Justin only performs service and no sales. Great communication. Good quality work. Quick turnaround time. Just stopped by because my back breaks weren’t working. They assisted me right as I walked through the door, looked at my breaks, and had them fixed in a few minutes. I will definitely be back if I have any bike problems in the future!
