I needed alot of diagnostics on strange issues my car was having. The price was very reasonable and he figured out every issue my vehicle was having. He provided very clear notes on everything. It was clear that he cared about my situation and was super honest and helpful.

My husband took his truck to a different place.They had it for about a month.Nobody couldnt find out what was wrong with it?So I said.. PLEASE take it to someone who knows what they are doing!?So he took it to Johns Automotive.OMG.. THEY found out what was wrong with it after ONE DAY!!It was something with the computer in the truck.So they ordered it and FIXED IT IN less than 3 DAYS!!!My husband was so freaking happy that words cant explain it.Thank you all for getting the truck fixed! 5⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I recently took a Lincoln Navigator to John’s for a pre purchase inspection. I had a 10:00 appointment and they took me right when I got there . They were very professional and you just got that feeling you were in good hands . Honestly the thing that impressed me the most was the relationship I observed that they have with their regular customers . I’m from out of state, so unfortunately I will not be a regular customer. I witnessed them ask people if they needed a ride any where why they wait, if they needed some one to pick up their car from their house for them and just all around Great customer service. I wish they were closer to me so I could go there if I needed work done to my vehicles . I would strongly recommend this auto shop from my short experience here .

Used Johns for years...highly reliable, honest and trustworthy. I moved out of the area 5 years ago and still return for my auto care.

After my mechanic of almost 30 years retired, it left me with the daunting task of finding a new mechanic. We all know how hard it is to find a mechanic that we can trust. I do believe that I hit the jackpot with this place. After checking review after review, I decided to give Johns a try. It was the best move I could have made. I have been using them since February of 2018 and I can say without a shadow of a doubt that I made the right decision. They do great work and it is always in a timely manner. They are honest and their prices are more than reasonable. Joe the service manager and Jennifer the receptionist are both easy to deal with. Dont hesitate to use them for all of your car repairs. You wont be sorry. They deserve a 10 star review but it only goes to 5 so 5 it is.

OMG! Absolutely the best customer service on the planet! These guys took care of me on an out-of-the-blue dead battery and totally understood my sense of panic and treated me like I was family! Okay. Took my car there for the first time for inspection. Heard nothing but great things, and the staff was very welcoming. Couldn’t have been any nicer. Inspection was good, and gave me info on my car. Definitely found a go to mechanic for all my cars needs.

Whatever you do dont go there.I went there for an alignment.Everything was running great.Justin test drove it with me in the car and said how great it was running and how cold my air-conditioning was.I get a call 2 hours later and he says my engine is blown.I go there to see and he has my engine taken apart.Joe tells me its gonna be 7,300 to fix.I told him it doesnt make since how an engine just blows when I had no problems earlier and had the car checked.Justin told me my engine probably blew from the oil change if they put the wrong oil in it.Thats some bs.I asked Joe why would he take my engine apart without showing me whats wrong with the car.He says Justin was just trying to help you.Yeah help rob me.These guys are scumbags!!

Ive been a customer of Johns for about 4 years and even bring my parents car here for service now. Even though I lease my vehicle and I have to drive further to get to Johns from home, Id rather work with the honest, pleasant staff of Johns than the dealer. As a woman who has been fed BS from mechanics for years, it is refreshing to have a team who is educated, professional and trustworthy service my familys cars.

I was very happy with my experience here. My car starter was dying on me and I needed to get to a mechanic ASAP. I found out about this place through Google. As a woman, I am very wary when it comes to mechanics, but I figured Id give them a chance. I do not regret my experience at all! I was able to bring in my car that day and they even fixed a problem that I didnt know I had. The staff were very friendly and Joe was absolutely amazing! I came into John’s after searching for a reliable mechanic I was quoted between 500-800 at other places. John began to inspect my car and found out the real problem ( other shops couldn’t find out what was wrong, guessed and quoted me on services based on a guess) John saved me over $500!!! John argued with me about my truck. He has a bad arrogant attitude. He tried to tell me an engine gets hotter when it’s turned off because there’s no coolant flow. He is correct that there’s no longer any cooling however there’s also no longer any combustion to heat the engine when it’s turned off so it immediately begins to cool from ambient air when turned off. His bad arrogant attitude and illogical reasoning is why I’ll never go back.

I must preface this review by saying that I am not a shill and have no affiliation with any auto repair shop. Johns is one of just two legendary repair joints in all of Northeast Philly that has such integrity and ability that they do not have to advertise. Word of mouth is all that is needed. When my family members come here, Johns always tells it like it is and charges a fair price. My only b*tch is that they are always busy due to their phenomenal reputation, so we have to wait a day or two longer than the chains or other competitors to get our cars back. But of course we always save hundreds so the wait is well worth it. Dont expect Johns to drop everything to fix your car like the less honest shops will do so they can gouge you for fraudulent repairs. If you want extreme honesty and competence, you will have to wait. And Johns is a small shop so you might have to wait a few hours for an unusual part to be delivered, but so what? While you are waiting, you can eat at one the nearby restaurants, shop in the strip mall mere yards away, or even go to church. As proof of my praise, note that Johns was rated five stars by each of all 11 reviewers on Y*lp.
