Outside temps drop to 52degrees, hvac unit wont turn on. They arrived in short hours, and found that the OUTSIDE MAIN BREAKER HAD RUSTED OUT, failed, parts rattling. Whose brilliant engineering plan installs electricity OUTSIDE IN THE WET WEATHER WE HAVE IN ALABAMA??? Ridiculous. I want to meet THAT idiot... lol.... Moving on... Awesome technician had it fixed in less than an hour. This is my new permanent vendor for HVAC.

Im giving TemperaturePro a low rating for the following reasons. This company was recommended to me by someone in my neighborhood. I called about servicing a wall mounted split unit and because its a little unusual, I asked specifically for a technician that had experience servicing these types of units. The office manager was very nice and arranged for a technician to come out within a couple hours, so they get points for responsiveness.However, the technician was not experienced with these units (when he looked at it, he told me that I probably knew more about the unit than he did) and had to spend several hours attempting to diagnose the problem.I want to be fair and say that the technician was extremely nice and also very knowledgeable about electrical work in general and traditional HVAC units, but he was not able to diagnose the problem with the split unit, although I could tell he was trying to learn all he could and be very thorough. He did come out the following day - again, points for that - but was there for another hour or two and finally determined that the motor fan was bad.Later a representative from the company called and quoted me what I believed was an excessive price (labor+part+diagnostic fee) and a 1-2 week timeframe to replace the fan motor. When I asked about the breakdown of labor and parts, the amount for the part was almost 3x the part price from several different online parts distributors. I pushed back on that and felt a little like I was having to negotiate with a used car salesman. I agreed to pay them for the time spent working on the unit, which I feel was excessive, not because Im not willing to pay for work done, but because if they had sent a technician experienced with this type of unit, like I originally requested, they would not have had 4+ hours worth of labor in the job.In retrospect, it feels like they didnt really know how to fix ductless units and were just eager to get some payment for their time.I ordered the part new from SearsPartsDirect with free 2 day delivery and installed it myself - its a simple bolt on part that plugs in - and that turned out not to be the problem. So now Ive spent a considerable amount of money (but still significantly less than what TemperaturePro was going to charge to come back out and do the same thing) and the unit still is not fixed.I would not call them if you need work done on these types of units, although to be fair they are probably very competent to work on a traditional HVAC. I would have preferred them to tell me up front that they werent experienced with ductless split units or, if they were, that they would have sent someone who knew about them like I had requested up front.

I havent used their services because there wasnt a current need. However, I did find the people at Temperature Pro Birmingham to be very professional and responsive and the people that I have suggested use their services or that I know that have used their services were impressed with the professionalism, the punctuality and the expertise in solving the problem and correcting the issue. Highly recommended. Ill be a future customer when the need arises.

My technician was Jerin, and Im glad he came by because not only was he able to fix the leak on my AC unit, he also was extremely professional. During a routine maintenance, another companys reps recommended a new system to fix a compressor leak problem. Thinking that was extreme, I got other companies to review the problem and give me an estimate. One company said there was no problem and nothing should be done! However, the TemperaturePro serviceman showed me the problem on his instruments and gave me an estimate that was much lower to only repair the problem that I had.
