I purchased 2 cars for my twin sons from Pelham Imports on Saturday. Heather was knowledgeable, Patient and Honest. I would recommend. Also no salespeople. Just pick what you like and ask questions. No pressure.

Bought a van from them, had nothing but problems, I paid for some striking it up as wear and tear. Transmission started slipping, they replaced it, the one replaced set off codes to the motor, they said they would order another one, they have a year warranty, drive on this one till they get another, I would keep checking in time to time, they never call me back.. I don’t chase after businesses, now the owner tells me it’s 6 month warranty because the place they use is who has the warranty.. no more Pelham imports. I will find another company to deal with

One Star is needed to rate or Review a business- Therefore I have given Pelham Imports a star only to have my review seen& hopefully stop someone else from seeing their Mom get her hopes up to purchase a vehicle from them only to have One of the car saleswomen Heather that it was available when inquiring online&given exact amount, I also spoke to her in text and in a conversation that I ask if we needed an appointment to test drive& most likely buy the SUV; Heathers answer: No,Maam;We Are 1st Come 1st Serve ! This being A Thursday evening approximately 5pm so I ask what time they opened? Answer- 9am Me ok Ty well see you tomorrow.(No time specific)I knew we had dentist appts.for my 3 gkids at 8am Friday,then had to take out a loan to have total price.We arrive at dealership at approximately 4-4:30 pm,We were greeted at the Door By a Salesman whom I told we were there to drive&buy the CRV,He smiled handed me the keys,I ask if he needed my license or anything he said No,Enjoy its nice!!My Mom &I test drove the CRV, checked it out then returned to seal the deal. Only 2 be met at door by Heather very rudely saying she couldnt sell us the car? I said excuse me? She goes on to say I was supposed to have been there at 9am& wasnt!(I was mad yet knew I didnt tell this lady I would be there at anytime specific, I knew we had appts.for kids at 8am plus had to eat lunch,get loan,drive to Pelham Imports which we had been to already to do a visual inspection of vehicle approximately 100 miles round trip so I knew afternoon-evening but didnt say to her) This vehicle was listed on their website as well as on car fax site, iseecars website which is where we found it but No Pictures as of Thurs. Evening but the point of my review is to let The Owners of Pelham Imports know what type of un- professional,lying,deceiving, rude saleswomen&men they have working for them & most importantly TO STOP THIS LADY HEATHER AT DISCRIMINATING AGAINST CUSTOMERS! Just happened to find this dealership on the web. They were upfront with everything they said and stood behind every word they told us. It’s a family owned business and everyone there was friendly and helpful. We had a couple of issues after we purchased the car and true to their word they took care of it. We were so impressed with them and they were so friendly..It was worth the drive from Somerville, Alabama to deal with them. We will definitely go back next time we need a used car and will highly recommend them. We feel like we have made new friends!

What a stress free experience! No haggle dealership with cars priced very low for the market value!!! No stressful salespeople pressuring you as you buy/test drive, either! And when the car I bought said it needed an oil change, they let me bring it in and not only changed the oil, but also washed the exterior and interior for me and checked the tire pressure!!! 3 years ago I purchased my first vehicle, a 2008 Chevrolet Silverado from Pelham Imports. It was reliable for these last 3 years and I just sold it privately because I got something newer. The only reason this is not 5 stars is because the check engine light came on while driving home, and when I called them they basically said sorry, it was an, as is purchase. So, its kind of a gamble when buying from these guys but my gamble paid off, so heres a 4 star review.

I purchased a vehicle from Pelham Imports 2 days ago. Its early, but my experience with the vehicle has been excellent so far. What I can say at this point is that they were absolutely great to work with. There was no pressure, they were open to talk about anything, they were honest, and it was clear they just want to make the customer happy. I got the impression that they pride themselves on being a local business with a great reputation. There was no haggling involved. They simply told me what they were able to do after I told them what I was looking for. They washed the vehicle up for me and threw in some floor mats (which can be very pricey) without me asking.I would definitely recommend visiting this dealership when looking for a used car.

I just bought a car from here and I am so pleased with the service. Very friendly and attentive. I walked in told them what vehicle i was interested in to test drive, test drove and bought. I got a great car for a great price, there were no gimmicks, nothing. This was less than an hour ordeal. They even put almost an entire tank of gas in for me before I left. I really like how to the point it was about everything. I didnt feel bombarded, or pressured to buy anything. You see something on the lot you like? Go in and ask to test drive. Absolutely terrible management. The mechanics switched around the keys to my Dodge Avenger and gave me back my car with the spare key they found in the vehicle instead of the one I left with them(which had the buttons on it). When I called to let them know so that they could find the original key that I was given when I bought the vehicle the manager told me I was lying and kept interrupting me. She would not let me speak and assumed I was saying that I was given a key to another Dodge Avenger. Finally after calling multiple times they looked for my and key and found it. When I picked it up another woman greeted me and was very apologetic and polite. Wished the manager would have apologized for how poorly and unprofessionally she handled the situation.

I dreaded going car shopping, because I hate high-pressure sales situations and prefer not to negotiate. Buying a car at Pelham Imports was perfect for me. I did my research online- I found a few cars I was interested in on their up-to-date website, which was easy to navigate. I checked out reviews, ratings, and reasonable prices on a few different car sites. All of the prices advertised for the cars I was looking at were good deals, so I felt confident accepting their no-haggle prices.I went to test drive cars late one evening, and no one met me on the lot- as advertised. When I went into the office, however, Heather was friendly and helpful. I chose a car I wanted to buy and returned the next morning, when Dolores made the sale. The process was quick and painless, and she had already ordered a replacement spare tire for the car. She called me a few days later to let me know the spare was ready, and I mentioned that I had noticed another small issue which wouldnt be covered by the warranty. They gave me a loaner car for the day, put the spare in the storage spot in the trunk, and fixed the other issue the same day. The man working there (I didnt catch his name) told me to come back if I had any other problems.This kind of car shopping may not be for everybody. Stopped to look at a car with my son ( which is 19) and when asked to see the keys to the car he was told I can let you look at the key, this car is 23000.00 and we are not a buy here pay here lot it has to be financed through a credit union or bank. Which we already knew. So I wont ever do business with them. Just because someone talks slow dont mean that their brain is.

I have bought 7 cars from this dealership for the last few years. One for myself, two for my wife, one for my son and one for my daughter. My daughters car was rear-ended twice and got them exchanged in this dealership with the money the insurance paid for the cars. I have also recommended the dealership to 5 of my friends and all seem to be very happy and would buy again from this dealership.I have absolutely had no problems with my cars (with the exception of normal maintenance items). When I see people give bad reviews, it really bothers me. The sound byte of junk cars bad dealership and others without actually explaining the situation and their bad experience and list the detail of their problems, is cheap and unhealpful. When I need another car, I will buy again from the same dealership. I know for sure they do NOT sell junk because they really care about their reputation and they go overboard to help their customers who need help. The only people that give bad reviews I assume are their competitors that sell junk cars at a higher price and want to ruin the reputation of a great dealership so that they can benefit from it.BTW: Many of their cars come with warranty, and some extended from the manufacturer. If you feel insecure and want a piece of mind, purchase their extended warranty. I have had no warranty on any of my cars because I did not feel that I needed them. The ball is in your court.

I bought a 2010 rogue from these guys, unfortunately it had a problem with the air bag sensor that they said they would fix. They tried to do so and failed, and then told me to bring it back, anytime I had time to leave it with them. I was then told about 2 weeks later, that they had already fixed it, and it was no longer their responsibility. Other then this (which completely ruined the experience) I found the staff to be helpful, and knowledgeable.

I was impressed by the inventory and the low prices; but, I was most impressed by the family that owns and operates this establishment. They were kind, fair and low pressure. The next time Im looking for a car, I will come back here.

Beware of who you talk with when trying to buy a car...While the owners are pretty reasonable, the other sales lady is like most used car sales people, rude, fast talking and wont listen and thinks they know everything. Get this she actually told me she was doing me a favor by not negotiating and then charging me full price plus the add on fees...LOL. We were going to purchase the car but became so turned off by her attitude that we walked away and will never return. My advice is only talk with the owners not their sales lady, also when they start telling you that they are the most reasonably priced dealer and their dock fees are industry standards...and no dealer today negotiates price... just remind them that they are a used car dealer in the outskirts of Birmingham and there is one on nearly every street corner. Good luck!

The old man there was very rude. We entered and welcomed us but later not so much. Snatched keys out of our hands and said leave without doing anything wrong. We just tried to explain that the car didnt have hot air working correctly and kicked us out.Was negotiable though.

Found the car we wanted at a reasonable price. We had it checked by our mechanic prior to purchase and we found what you would expect to find from the Carfax. We negotiated a price and finished the transaction within a couple of hours. Simple transaction. I was satisfied. Like others have said, if you need the fancy showrooms and glitter then this is not your place to look for a car. If you need a mid mileage used car that is out of warranty then you are probably in the right place.

Wasn’t greeted. The lady salesman wanted to run our credit before evening test driving the vehicle. Stated it was a sports (v6?)Then asked to be driven in vehicle they declined. Very rude talked over the customers. Won’t return.

Seriously, the BEST used car place I have been to!!! Delores and her husband are some of the nicest and most honest people I have ever done business with!! I just purchased my second vehicle from Pelham Imports, and I knew after having my first car from them for 3 years and having no major issues with them I had to come back. My 09 Toyota Yaris that I purchased in 2013 still runs perfectly and I am in love with my 2015 Ford Escape that I just got! It really is a place where what you see is what you get. Initially I was nervous because I bought my first car out of college from them and I went shopping by myself and not one time did I feel like they were trying to take advantage of me. You are free to walk around and check out cars and test drive vehicles you are interested without any pressure to buy. It is a happy and low stress (not to mention affordable) way to streamline a process that can often be unpleasant. Honestly would give a 10/10 and I highly recommend them to anyone who is interested in a used car!!!

SUPERB SERVICE. I have NEVER been SO impressed by a Car Dealership as this one. Im usually merciless on Car Dealers and Ill make ridiculous low offers until I get the price I want. But, Pelham Imports is different. Theres No Fancy Dandy Showrooms with Highway Prices, but instead I saw a Great Fleet of High Quality Pre-Owned Vehicle at extremely reasonable low prices.After negotiating my trade in for a car that I liked over the phone, I drove about 250 miles to finalize the deal. When I arrived, I was told that the car I had negotiated for was not on the lot. The reason being SINCE YOU DROVE SO FAR FOR THIS CAR, WE WANT TO MAKE SURE YOU MAKE IT BACK OKAY AND DECIDED TO PUT NEW TIRES ON THE CAR. It wasnt because the tires needed replacement nor because I requested for the tires to be replaced, but solely because of the genuine concern these people have for their customers. I was extremely touched. Never in my 50+ years has a Car Dealership offered to do anything for me nevertheless just do it without me asking.We need more Car Dealerships like these in America. Dealers who are more concerned with their customers, then they are with their Bank Accounts.
