Best and most honest place to buy a car or have your car serviced! Was told from another service station my car repairs would not be worth fixing so I went looking for a new used car. Went to Metropolis Auto sales with limited funds. told them my car broke down and needed $1500. dollars worth of work, When i told them about the problem they said they would check it out before i bought another car. They looked at my car and told me it would only be $325 to fix it . Love Metropolis made me feel part of the family and i will service and buy cars from them in the future!!!

Went in a month ago to purchase a truck. There was an issue with the truck so they sent it out to get fixed the next day. Fast forward to a month later and myself constantly messaging to see when the vehicle would be back and trying to get some measurements information in the meantime so I could get my welder setup and ready for it when the truck finally did get( and no I never once got the measurements I asked for). Then the truck finally gets back yesterday afternoon and I message back ok I will be up tomorrow at noon to get it and then I receive a message the morning I am about to go up and buy the truck after a month of horrible communication and they tell me that someone came in and they sold it right out from under me. I am so disgusted with the shady salesman there and the lack of integrity. I now am scrambling to find another vehicle to purchase before year end thanks to this moral lacking company.

I bought my truck from here about a year and a half ago. Its been absolutely solid. I put over 20K on it the first year. Not a single problem. Corin was great and made the entire process super smooth, including finding financing that fit my budget. I love Metropolis! I refuse to go anywhere else for service on my cars. Their prices are incredibly fair and aren’t crazy expensive like other places. All of the staff does amazing work, Jeff even found a crack in my radiator that meineke had missed. Recently, I bought a rebuilt Subaru Impreza from them and it drives like a brand new car. I couldn’t be happier!

My wife and I bought two used Subaru’s from Meteopolis this year and we can’t say enough good about the company and staff!The majority of their stock are salvage titles, but every thing we test drove operated like an almost new vehicle. They have a great variety of inventory and their prices are very competitive and fair. If they can drop or reduce the tag price at all, they are open to that and will work with you. They run to the registry and your insurance company for you, so you don’t have to be troubled and take time out of work.They also offer a 90 day warranty on most of their vehicles, which is an excellent nuance! My wife and I did have very minor non operational issues with both vehicles, and the employees were more than happy to get the vehicles back in and take care of said problems. I have no doubt at all that if the problems were more serious, they still wouldn’t mind taking a look and fixing everything with great care and detail.Also, upon returning the very few times we’ve had to, it’s very good and reassuring to see the staff working with other patrons with the same devotion and attentiveness they’ve showed us. I bought my very first truck today from Metropolis, and I couldn’t believe the amazing service I experienced. When I first came to the shop I was looking around for a new vehicle to purchase, and first fell in love with a Silverado that was on the lot. after reviewing it and realizing it wouldn’t be for me. I spotted a 2011 GMC Sierra that wasn’t even on the lot yet, still needed to be reviewed and undergo some work. I talked to Coren who ended up selling me the truck today, but told me he could have his team start working on it to get it all set for me. The truck ended up needing pretty much a whole new front end, and some work done underneath. All the guys including Jeff there were willing to explain to me everything that was getting redone so I would understand, as I never have experienced anything like this before. Jeff is family and talked to me after hours and went more into detail with me than the other guys at the shop. It took roughly 1 month to purchase the truck from the date I first spotted it. They explained what I needed to bring with me to take out my loan, as I showed up to the dealership afterwords. I showed up today with my loan and signed the papers and it was as easy as that, I was driving home with my brand new to me truck. I would 100% recommend this place to anyone looking to purchase a reasonably priced vehicle!

Kevin McNamara was very knowledgeable and helpful with any questions we had and volunteered his time to take a test drive with us so we could ask questions if we had any. I had a flat tire at 5pm on a Friday and needed to drive to Buffalo, NY the next morning. It was a difficult situation and I was ready to change my plans until the outstanding guys at Metropolis saved me.The owner himself stayed late to change the tire in record time and he charged next to nothing for it. Everyone in the place went out of their way to be welcoming, understanding and helpful. It felt more like a family friend doing me a favor (I have no connection to the place) than bringing my car to a shop for repairs.I simply can’t recommend this place more highly. I was blown away not just by the quality of their work and service, but also their generosity in helping me out of a tough spot when they had no real reason to do so. Whatever you need that’s car-related, take it from me that these guys have and will continue to earn your business.

My girlfriend was looking for a new car. We stopped here to look at some and they were very pleasant and helpful. No pressure at all. When we mentioned we had something else in mind they gave us our space to decide what we wanted. While there the subject of my smashed hood came up and how I had been searching for a replacement. Within 5 minutes he had it on the screen. Its now a week later and the hood has been delivered and it took 30 mi utes to install. I am extremely happy. My girlfriend did wind up buying a car from them as well. She is extremely happy as well!!!

I worked with glen and john, great guys, i love the truck i got it for a great price and i was given all new fuel lines a few weeks after I purchased the truck. They covered the cost of the whole job didnt charge me for labor or the parts. They could of charged me because the 90 day warranty didnt cover my problem but they took care of it fast and free .I would recommend to anyone looking for a good price on a used car

Great dealership!. I bought my 2005 Dodge Neon from them back in 2012. The were willing to negotiate on a fair price in a professional manner. One of the most honest car dealerships I have had to deal with and those a few and far between.

I just read a review that stated sleazy salesman. ABSOLUTELY NOT TRUE! I have bought 2 cars from them and BOTH have been fantastic used cars with almost NO issues! I even take my SUV there for ALL repairs needed at a fair price!! Damon stands by his cars and business, if you have any issues see Damon. I think people like the guy who wrote a bad review want things free - it is a business, they have to make money, too!!! I would recommend these guys a million times over and also recommend to friends to get their cars serviced there. If there is any problems, they WILL fix it for you! They do quality used right!!!!!!

Ive been working on a deal with Corin for the last week or so now. There hasnt even been a deal yet but I have to say that this place will do everything they can to make a deal. Im credit challenged and Corin made sure he tried every option he could to get me into the car I wanted. Now the proposed deal he got me isnt exactly what I was hoping for but no at no fault to him.Corin is a genuinely nice guy that will do what it takes to get the job done. I cant recommend this place enough, and again I havent even (possibly) made a purchase yet.

The car I purchased from here ended up being unsafe to drive and bound for the junkyard 6 months after purchasing it, as we did not buy the extended warranty.However, when we told the owner of the shop what was going on with the car he offered to fix it because we were so disappointed and truly upset. Its been a little over a month since they fixed it for us on their dime, and its had no further problems since.

I CAN, WITHOUT RESERVATION, give a hundred star review to Metropolis Auto Sales!They are definitely not stereotypical used car salesmen (which I hate) They are HONEST and determined to create a good deal for all involved.I just purchased a 2011 Ford Cargo van - Got home (3 hours away!!!) and discovered no spare tire jack or lug wrench! (My bad as I hadnt checked). Figured they were in the shop after being removed for the under coating. Nope:( So They called a salvage yard close to me and paid for the spare, jack & wrench! TALK ABOUT CUSTOMER SERVICE!!Then the DMV in Vermont wasnt happy with a signature on the title trail! UGH! Metropolis has paper work on its way to me that should satisfy VT!The entire process was a pleasant transaction -- and to top it off we closed on National Greek Day and were served unbelievably delicious lamb burgers and homemade fries -- my mouth still waters!Exciting to have discovered a HONEST used vehicle dealership who believes in customer service and satisfied customers!Metropolis Auto Sales is now THE ONLY PLACE I or my family will purchase a vehicle!Believe me, This is the the place to go if you are looking for a vehicle - They have a great selection and fair prices.As I said above: I have never given a top review to a used vehicle dealership in all my 69 years! Had truck for little over month. Now had 2 issues. 1st issue taken care of. 2nd engine issues due to no power. Warranty 3 months, 3000 miles. Put approx 1200 miles since bought. Said they will not fix.

Your typical sleazy used car dealership. Their intent is to make the most cash for the least amount of quality and work. Heres my episode (happened a while (summer of 2012) ago, but got angry remembering the experience, so writing a review:They had a vehicle listed on Autotrader (or some similar site). The car looked good in pictures and the VIN checked out, so I called the guy there with further questions like exterior/interior condition, rust, cleanliness, odor, etc., and whether I can take it to a third party for inspection. He said sure, the car was in very good shape, nothing wrong with it, come on down and look at it.So I drove 3 hrs to go see this car. First, some little stuff: a few rattles, a cracked windshield, and some loose fabric -not necessarily dealbreakers, but he should have mentioned these. I then take the vehicle to the vehicles manufacturer dealership for inspection (and for some reason this guy makes me do a deposit to take the car out for this inspection), and they find $1500+ in repairs (a failing power steering pump drenching the front engine bay in steering fluid, failed ABS unit, cracked exhaust manifold, failing ABS unit, and a broken differential vent). The check-engine light comes on on the way back. I talk to the guy, and he goes: the stealerships clearly charging way too much money -I can have that all fixed for less than half that. I was wary but said fine, fix all the issues (which we listed out for him), and Ill have it checked again -but if you havent fixed the problems, Im backing out of this. It was dumb of me not to get some sort of written consent at this point -Id find out later that Id regret having good faith in people.I get a call from him a week or two later saying its good to go, so I make another 3hr trek out there to take it to the same dealership. Had to put gas in the vehicle b/c it was empty to get there. At the dealership we found they didnt touch the exhaust manifold, the pump was replaced but the front engine bay was still drenched with steering fluid, the vent was fixed, but the ABS unit was not touched, and the check-engine came on during their check for cylinder misfires (the dealership btw, made this inspection free). So I bring the car back to the guy at Metropolis and say the issues werent taken care of and Im cancelling this deal, he said ok, but pay me for the repairs he made on it, $700, not returning the deposit. Ridiculous. We literally argued with this sleazy bastard for more than an hour straight before he finally caved, and gave me my money back. A total waste of time, and a very unpleasant experience.There you have it. A sleazy salesman and an incompetent set of mechanics. Luckily, they dont seem to realize that in the age of the internet, bad word will travel fast. If theyre running their business with bad intent -which they are, they should go out of business. If you are an uneducated customer in the used car market, they WILL try to take advantage of you. Dont go here.
