10/10 great service. Had us in and out in less than 10 minutes. No secret charges, and even handled my sticker shock with an unbelievable level of professionalism. Service was not overpriced, I was naive to the cost of parts for my specific make/model. Will absolutely return for future services.

This place was a breath of fresh air. I feel like places these days are lacking in customer service, but not Express oil change. I called to get a quote. The gentleman on the phone was professional and courteous. When I get there. They took care of me right away. They explained to me what need to be done and made suggestions. They didnt pressure me into extra services. I would reccomend this location to everyone. I will be coming here from now on.

I bought tires at this Express oil and very satisfied with the price, quality and help with choosing which tires to buy. Ive been in for some maintenance items and also very satisfied with the quality of service. Everyone I have talked to is helpful and knowledgeable. The manager treated me like I was the most important customer even though they were very busy.

“MEA” was the hoodtech for my vehicle and he was very speedy and polite. I enjoyed my experience at the Cahaba Valley Road location than any other location I’ve tried in Birmingham. They were experienced technicians and mechanics who know what they were doing. No beating around the bush. They got straight to what I needed and started working .

I never write reviews but I am blown away by my experience here. I thought we needed new brake pads but it turns out we didn’t. They could have just put new ones on and made a profit but they were honest and it didn’t cost a thing. I am a customer for life now and I’ll tell everyone I know about them!

Barry and the crew are everything you hope and pray for when getting anything fixed with your vehicle. Scarey world out there with some shady garages! Was on the road in our RV and caught a flat. Changed the tire and decided to find a shop near our campground while in town. Just googled tire repair near me. One of the first to pop up with good reviews. Went to drop the tire off spoke to Barry and told me how busy they were. Explained I had the tire already removed and was gonna just drop it off. Asked to call me and let me know what the diagnosis was. An hour later I get a call from Barry saying my tire is fixed ad ready to be picked up. Barry explained it was just a bad valve stem. Asked what the damage was for replacing the valve stem. Nothing Mr. Crawford it was no biggie and wouldnt dream of charging me for it. A lot of shops could have milked the cow on this one saying I needed a new tire etc. I am definitely not the leave a comment kind of person. But when someone does you a solid in this day and age, its the only way I could pay it forward! Thank you again Barry!

I went in to Express Oil today to get my oil and air filter changed. I didnt have to wait, pulled right into the bay and 20 minutes later I was on my way.While there I was there, everyone was courteous and all were wearing masks.Im going back to get other services done on my car, all because of the service I received today.

The customer service here is UNMATCHED. I am very impressed. In particular, Scott Williams and Jessie were both very helpful. They were both friendly and very professional. The oil change was quick and I appreciated the checklist they went through after. They suggested additional things I should get changed or looked at without being overly pushy or aggressive. I will definitely be coming back.

My wife and I are from out of town and needed to get back. We had a crack in a radiator hose. They were able to get us in and fix the problem in less than 2 hours so that we could get back on the road. They were very friendly and the service seemed great.

The manager and mechanic here would rather argue and defend their mistakes than take care of their customer and do what is right. I won’t be doing any more business here and recommend finding somewhere else to go for your needs. There’s too many other shops in this area to deal with poor customer service. Don’t waste your money here.

I have used Express Oil Change for my vehicle oil changes for many years now, so when the ac compressor in my wife’s car went out we took it Express Oil Change to be taken care of. Little did I know that Ryan and his team would be able to repair the ac with brand new OE parts within 24 hours of dropping the car off. I assumed this would be at least a 2-3 day process from past experiences at other shops. So when the a/c in my car was not performing well this past weekend I knew exactly where to take it. I dropped it off on Monday night after hours and was called at 10:30 Tuesday morning letting me know it was ready to be picked up. Upon picking up the vehicle, I was pleasantly surprised to learn that Ryan applied a coupon to my a/c service with a handsome discount. I’ve never been to another shop that would apply any kind of promotion like that without me having to ask. Needless to say Ryan and his team have my business from here on out and I would highly recommend them for any kind of automotive repair or just general maintenance.

Very good experience at this location. Scott Williams was the person who helped me and he was very professional and knowledgeable. He was able to reset on the menu where it no longer showed that I was due for an oil change. Everywhere I have gone, including other Express Oil locations, no one has been able to figure it out. He did it in less than 2 minutes. So it was a very positive experience.

I’m terrible at staying on top of my car needs. But every time that I stop by Express Oil Change and see Scott Williams, I am treated like family! The service is professional, fast and any car issue I have is solved when I leave. The attention to detail and quality is honestly unmatched. If you dont need a service, they do not recommend it - which is completely refreshing in a culture of up-selling and shops trying to drive higher ticket averages. I get all of my automotive services done here - oil changes, tires, mechanical services - all of it. I trust these guys without question because I know they have my best interest at heart. Highly recommend!

Im sure this place is great at your basics. Do not take your vehicle here for anything more than a basic oil change. My family took my truck in for fuel pump replacements over the past weekend. Got the call it was ready to go, truck ran great. Charged me a fairly normal price, a little above average, but its an old truck, its reasonable I guess.First of all, they didnt give me the decency of adding a bit of gas in there after draining the tank to do the repairs, so I was struggling to get just across the street to fill her up. Put in the gas, suddenly the trucks still dying out. I pull back in, they give me the excuse my parts are bad - brand new from the same supplier they likely use - and somehow have a mysterious leak thats spraying fluid all over the place, plus a distributor cap/rotor replacement.They sit me down in the chair and tell me, first off the bat, itd be at least $300-350, with at least hundreds more to come as its just one of those progressive things where you replace one thing than the next over and over, and its just best to cut your losses. We go from five minutes leaving with a truck perfectly ready to go to it being essentially a worthless hunk of steel on the lot. Baffling to me too, trust me.Women, do yourselves a favor and learn the basics of automotive repair. You dont need to do it yourself, but know what it takes, and what it should cost. $300 for a distributor replacement? Even with rotor & cap combined it wouldnt be anything over $200.I hauled it over to Jacks Garage in town. No leak. They tell me theyre shocked Express Oil even mentioned a leak, as theres no sign of fluid anywhere. Distributor cap needed to be replaced, sure. No biggie. Transmission fluid replacement, but that was due in the next month or so anyway. They personally drove it up to Oak Mountain themselves with no issues, and the engine for it being an 86 is in great shape.Total cost? $275, which includes the towing fee that they put on the bill for you, so you dont need to pay up front. Thats $200 total for the distributor replacement and four quarts of trans fluid.TL;DR, the only thing I can be grateful for is at least they appropriately replaced the fuel pumps. I had Jacks check just to be sure it was done correctly. I get the feeling they saw a stressed young woman, assumed she didnt know what she was doing, and tried to run me for every penny Im worth. I may have looked stupid to these guys, but youd be damn sure Im not.

Mr. Williams was great. He took care of my truck with a smile and advised me of some maintenance items with no pressure. Will be back.

Horrible customer service! Extremely rude front desk person created an argument by trying to add services I did not need. While waiting for my requested quote, my car was taken away. As he was laughing out loud, I was told I had to get an oil change now because the service department already drained the oil from my car. At that exact moment, my car was suddenly brought back to the front and I was told by the service agent that he just gave me a free oil change when there is no way that he could have possibly drained the oil, change the filter and put oil back into my car in 5 minutes. I called the corporate office to complain, waiting for a returned call.

They are always fast and professional. Today when I went for my oil change they diagnosed my “check engine light” at no extra charge.

Switched from Goodyear on a 17 year regular, to this E.O.C location. Great staff. Good Location on HWY119. Location often offers discount for ladies day and other promotions. Waiting area available for longer appointments.

Had an issue with grinding noise in my wheel when I got off the interstate on christmas Eve. Luckily I was right beside an Express Oil. Swung by here and Eddie took care of my issue immediately and was super helpful. Highly recommend these guys. I will continue to use Express oil for my car service needs.

Awesome fast service

This place sucks! I took my work van there and told them it was shaking bad. They told me it needed a full tune up. And that that would fix it. Paid seven hundred and fifty dollars. And they made it worst. They they check it whit the scanner again and told me. Ughh never mind now Its cylinder number #4And I was like. Ok then what. They said well it could be the piston or the valve . we dont know and they were trying to charge me like 18 hundred more I was like heck no dude. You told me something and now youre telling me this. This place sucks big time!

I even brought my puppy early this morning with me and He is kinda scared of strangers but these awesome guys were sweet to him and got me out of there in five minutes! Great crew!

Went in asking for pruce on a wheel alingment and tire rotation... was tol 89.99 and 34.99... decided to do the later as I found a better price elsewhere via Costco membership. When job was finalize they charge me 39.99. Told that that wasnt the price accord and even point to a manager as he heard when I was given the initial price and he just stated: it says from 34.99. I replied that it wasnt what we accord. I had no good outcome, still had to pay the 39.99. Worst place, avoid going here.
