Routine maintenance for our cars is something that we should be proactive about. I came in for a full synthetic oil change and tire rotation. The manager Brian politely warned me that I needed brake pads (which is something I didnt come in for) I looked at my rear pads and sure enough, they were almost gone! Thanks for letting me know. I went to Mavis Tires in Palatine and received excellent service from Brian. He is very helpful and very caring when he was helping me. Brian made sure I was aware of the problem with my rim and tire. Overall excellent service and somebody give this gentleman a raise. Very nice guy.

Very friendly and helpful. I had an emergency as I was heading out of town. The employee saw I had the lifetime warranty on the tires and made sure my repair was done right away and correctly, as I had my pets in the car with me. After 14 hours of straight driving, all was well. Totally recommend them!

I went here to get my brakes fixed. It was a couple hours before closing so i wasn’t sure that they could take my car for the service i was need. It usually takes a couple hours to do. They reassured me that i would have my car in 2 hours. I got to finish my work in the waiting area while i was waiting. It was really convenient and the customer service was on par! 10/10 recommend. They also always have great deals!

I had four new tires put on my car. Great price. They also found that my battery needed to replaced. They did this work for me also. Great company to work with. Highly recommend them.

Initially made a call to place an appointment. Person answering was very polite and offered us an appointment within the hour. Once I arrived I was greeted promptly and I explained the issue/problem I was having with the vehicle. I left the call there and the gentleman told me that I would receive a call within the hour. I did receive a call within the hour and was told it was a minor issue and I could pick up the car. I highly recommend Mavis appreciate the honest Diagnosis.

They are very professional. I went in because I was leaking brake fluid. They advised me that it was a leaky wheel cylinder. And told me the shoes and drums Are still good. They also informed me that the noise that I heard was a worn out bearing. I though it was the new tires I had bought and installed from another company. Brian the manager. Was very knowledgeable and gave me options and and fair prices. I will definitely bring my cars back to them in the future.

I was having a rough day and Brian made it awesome. He was nice to my toddler daughter who was crying uncontrollably. I have been feeling really sad today but having the customer service Brian provided change that and also I was able to get my tire. Thank you so much!

Notice my tire on my truck which I purchased here was very low. Filled it with air, the valve stem is leaking. Before I removed it I call Mavis, told me no problem. I bring it in manager tell me no way today. I told him I call first before removing the tire. Too bad for me. Great customer service. Went next door to Midas pick it up 2 hours later. I installed four wheels at this wonderful company. Soiled the entire interior of the car. The pressure in 3 wheels (40 psi) was not properly inflated. They did not properly tighten the nipple on one wheel - as a result, the next morning my wheel was completely lowered, I was late for work. And with all this, the price per installation is twice as much compared to Walmart or Costco

I purchased tires that weren’t compatible for my vehicle, therefore it preformed horrible in rain. I returned to Mavis in Palatine and spoke with both Brain, the manager and Will the assistant manger, who were so helpful and accommodating. They did not hesitate to put the right tires on my vehicle. Their professionalism made a bad situation a good experience.

Fast and done right. Brian, the new manager, went above and beyond twice - plugged one trailer tire, and replaced my Expedition tire, both quickly and right.

I have had good experiences here. I recycle my tires here and would use them for other services because they are always polite and helpful.

Wonderful customer service. I was worried about a low tire pressure warning on a Saturday. I came to Mavis--- and even though they didnt have enough time to do a full tire inspection--they still took the time to visually inspect the tires and top off the air in my tires. Associates are polite and friendly. Shop and waiting area are clean and organized. Disappointed that I waited 3 hours for a simple tire repair (nail in my tire) and the tech took all of the tires off of my car and did a full inspection without my knowledge or consent.Upon removal of all of my tires (& not simply repairing the one with the nail in it) there were a few issues found which would have racked up a significant bill (all covered under my manufacturers warranty). My car is scheduled for a full tune up and overhaul in 3 days at the dealership and I explained this to the tech at the beginning prior to them putting my car up on a lift. All of the extra time looking over my vehicle was unnecessary and unwanted. If this is the practice for the business, it should be disclosed to the customer ahead of time. Literally the ONLY customer in the entire building and over 3 hours for a tire repair. Not sure if they need more employees or to manage the ones that they have better. Once all of the tires were off of my car it was like there was no sense of urgency to get me back on the road. I had to ask the tech at the counter how much longer it would be because I felt like they had forgotten about me. Just unacceptable.

I went in to get my tire fixed, thought it was a leak..I went In and spoke with josh. He was professional and friendly. He told me it would be a 10-15 min wait, but turned Into a little over 2 hours unfortunately. He apologized for extremely longer wait. They found the tinest nail in my tire. They fixed and patched it free of charge. Overall good service, but wish the wait wasnt so long.

Going to Mavis was very helpful. I was able to get 4 brand new tires, a new battery and windshield wipers. It did not take a very long time. The person that help me explain what had to be done and how much it cost. I will go back to Mavis the next I need help.

Had originally gone in on a Friday after work, only to find out that they were closing shop. Decided to go in on that Monday and glad I waited until then because the manager, Chris R., turned out to be very helpful and gave me a breakdown on what my car needed and how much everything would cost. He was able to work with me as I had a budget in mind. He went beyond the call of duty. I came out with a new tire, a wheel alignment and front breaks done. I will definitely return should the need arise.

Was helpful in determining what I needed to get my car back in road shape after some nails got friendly with my tires and let me know it was a 1-2 hour fix. That would have been great. After 2.75 hours, I called and they told me they were only half done and they would be done by 17:30. This completely threw off my afternoon travel plans. It would have been nice to be notified that they were running slow instead of me having to call to find out they were going to be late. It was a very disappointing customer service interaction, but Tim at the desk was very helpful and knowledgeable while I was in the store. Good work and cleaned up after.

Awesome quick service. I took my car for inspection. Promptly greeted and as there was no wait (made earlier appointment but reached little late), I was immediately helped by Daniel. Took few minutes and it was done efficiently. Shop was clean and had good atmosphere with distancing and other precautions in place. While waiting I asked questions about tires replacement for my other car Cx-9 and Will explained to me going with O.E is always better than other sizes. He was patient with my questions and explained his answers well. Thanks guys!

Man these Guys really saved me! With snow in the forecast one of my tires kept losing air. Brand new tire on a fleet car. Called the place that put on new tires and they couldn’t see me until next Monday. Called Mavis, and they got me in with a small wait, but well worth it! I’ll be bringing my cars back here for service from now on!

Mavis Tires & Brakes on Dundee and Rand Roads in, Palatine, exceeded my expectations for service. When I called the service rep opened a ticket for me and sent a confirming email, directly. The tire tech found a nail in my passenger, rear tire. It was repaired and I was on my way. All for under $16! I will be back!

We were told it would be an hour and fifteen minutes and it ended up being 2 and a half hours. Don’t quote a time you can’t do!

Mavis/NTB used to be my go-to place for car maintenance, until one day, my check engine light comes on. I brought it in. They flat out told they didnt have the tool to read sensors (with is vital to most cars). The shop didnt own one and they recommended I go buy one from an autoshop. I went to another shop altogether. A sensor reader seems pretty standard issue. They did fill my tires for free though.

This was a very pleasant shopping experience. Tires are very price-sensitive products and I was very impressed that the store had a dedicated line with their central office for price quotes. They beat 5 other major tire retailers on price and I appreciated that. On the service end, Will and Ronny at the Palatine store were very polite and courteous, making the entire shopping experience with Mavis very pleasant and enjoyable.

I had a fantastic experience. They really helped me out and only gave me what my car really needed. They installed 4 tires with brake pads and did my alignment. My car drives so much better now. I would get my car serviced there, again, including having them install a new battery for me. Great place!

I went into the shop concerned about my brakes. I found out that my brakes and rotors on the front of my car were both bad and unsafe, but the price that they quoted me to fix my car was very high. We discussed the price, and came to an agreement which we both could live with. Most shops arent going to come down on their price for you when you really need it, but this place will and their service is amazing.

This was my first time visiting NTB in Palatine. I went in for new tires, alignment, and brakes. I was greeted by the manager Ronny. My car was serviced by George. I had the best experience ever. I dont even get this great of service at the dealership. I highly recommend this location and will go back for future service.

Palatine Illinois... Came to the house for a jump and took excellent care of us. Very fast and friendly at a fair price. Took maybe 5 minutes to install the battery and have me on my way. Social distancing and clean with a very friendly atmosphere.

They do great work. It might take a little longer than other places, but Id rather wait and have it done right than not have it repaired correctly.

Needed a new tire quickly and Will was able to have one installed in an hour. Very quick service and affordable prices.

These guys try to sell you services and parts that are not needed. Went in to change brake pads since they had a lucrative offer on the website. They told me the whole brake kit including calipers needs to be changed costing $$$. I insisted to change only brake pads, they make me wait and later say the calipers are stuck and we cant replace. As i refused any services and was leaving, they started using scare tactics that my vehicle will stop anytime and its dangerous to drive, etc.I went to a reputed shop and got it fixed. Price was good so changed rotors too. I will never visit this place again.
