This was my 1st time bringing my car to Casey Automotive. I called and spoke with Alex for an estimate before I brought my car in and he was very friendly and polite. After reading some of the reviews which were positive I decided to use them to service my car. Alex even called me and told me there was another issue with my car and in no way did he try to pressure me to get it fixed. The experience was excellent and smooth and I would use their service again in the future!!!!

I have gone to Caseys on Rand road, in Arlington Heights, and was very pleased with their service. That was back in December 2020. Oil change and tire rotation for only $20. Being a female, I am always nervous going to a mechanic. I feel like there is a big bright neon $ above my head.They did not try to upsell me any BS. Very informative... Not pushy. However trying to schedule with them now has been difficult. I have a very fluid schedule from one day to the next, which makes it difficult for me to pinpoint a Time to leave my car. I suggest that you plan on leaving your car in the evening, for them to take care of it in the morning. Then have a plan to go back to pick up your car. It is worth it because you are having professional mechanics do your oil change who will notice any issues instead of going to a 15 minute oil change location. I hope this info was helpful for you

Casey Automotive is the kind of high quality, reliable and no-nonsense business you depend upon for good once you use them the first time. I had previously used a large chain automobile service that charged me an arm and a leg for mostly unnecessary repairs to my used car of many years. After this I decided to go to Casey even though its a bit of a drive, upon the advice of friends in the area who have used them for 20 years.The first time they charged me nothing at all, since there was no fault identified with the car (it was a simple error on my part leaving a button turned on) . They identified a leak in the axle but even here they did not press me to get it done - despite having invested time in the diagnosis. Instead they simply said I could come back and have it taken care of the next time I did an oil change. It is this kind of genuineness that one looks for in an automobile dealer. They arent in the business to gouge you and it explains why they have loyal and long standing customers. I will not be using anyone else for my vehicle needs.

Have used them twice. 1 minor issue which they corrected and apologized. Recommended by a neighbor who knows cars and I am glad he did. I would recommend also.

Extremely professional, fixed my ancient car quickly and for the best price I could find. Have been using them for a couple years now to fix the random things that break on my old car and they have always been straightforward and honest about all the problems with the car. Knowing a good mechanic is almost priceless.

Can’t say enough good things about Casey’s. We’ve had both of our cars serviced by them for the past couple of years and have been totally satisfied. They have always been very professional and thorough. They explain the issues and let us know what is required now and what can wait. They never push services we don’t need. Recently we had an issue with a warning light. Casey’s ran diagnostics, found that there was nothing wrong, that the sensor just needed to be reset so they didn’t even charge us. We will be lifetime customers.

SCAM OPERATION. came in for an oil change and maybe an alignment.........this is about a $200 visit. However, this is not rich enough for SCAM casey automotive. The tech tells me that my tires are bald and unsafe and need replaced immediately. This will be an additional $1000. I left with the car and my worn out tires and drove over to a nearby tire shop and was told that I could easily make it thru the summer and fall with the tires. Wont b back.

I went to Casey’s twice the first time I went there was for my battery and my window they did a great job on both everybody’s real nice and then the second time my wipers broke so they fixed my wipers! I would recommend this place it’s a great place to get your car fix and they’re reasonable!!!

I’m not usually the type of person to let other people work on my car but for this particular problem I was stumped and had to swallow my pride and let someone else take a look. My service advisor was Alex and he went above and beyond to take care of me. Hes much smarter than most service advisors I have dealt with and seems to have a pretty good understanding of automotive. He talked me through what his tech would most likely be looking at and called me every step of the way. I also got to know Dan one of their technicians there and he was also a class act. I took him for a ride in my vehicle recreated the issue I was having and we spent the rest of the car ride talking about what the potential cause was and what steps he would be taking from there to diagnose. Made me super comfortable to hand the guy the keys because it was easy to tell he knew what he was doing. Will definitely be using these guys in the future if need be.

Checked my brakes here and it was put together in a way that makes it noisier than it was before. They told me to bring the car in when they opened for this quick hour check but didn’t do it early so I got my car back when they closed.

Right now they are only attending by appointment, they are very fast and after they are done with your car they sanitize it. If you are planning to wait for your car be advised that there are only three or four chairs in the waiting area. Excellent service!

Something I just wanted to mention. I brought my car in to have the brakes repaired. There was a piece of paneling underneath my car that kept on flapping down, and Ive been having to zip-tie back together every few months. It recently came undone, and I figured Id fix it once the winter was over. Anyways, Casey Automotive fixed it for me without me even asking about it and they did it free of charge. Also my brakes are running great. Thanks Casey!

I have had good experiences with Casey in the past (and thus the 2 stars instead of 1 star) but this time, not so much. I questioned this several times but they kept insisting that they could not just replace my failed exhaust flex pipe as there was not enough pipe left in front of the catalytic to do the work. So the job would be much more expensive as the catalytic had to also be replaced. I took the car to another shop in Palatine that did a nice job of replacing just the flex. They never even brought up any concern with the amount of pipe there was to work with.

This is an excellent place to have your vehicle diagnosed and repaired if you are in the Chicago area. These folks are honest, as we say at home, “Down to the bone.” They are one of the few, if not the only one that will not try to sell you something you don’t need, or make a big to do over something small in order to make a sale. Their work is good and sound. They are professional at all times. Let me say this: I am from the Central Georgia area. I come to the Chicago area to visit with family. On one of my earlier trips here I needed service on my vehicle. I used the Palatine area Casey’s. If I need something done with my vehicle when in the Chicago area, this location is where I go. I trust these people as much as I trust my personal mechanic at home.

This is the absolutely best, honest, friendliest mechanic around! Ive been going here for 8 years and they only expand more. They have to much work to find things to fix on your car. Jesse and Pete are The Man.Ive gotten statements such as we could put new brake pads on but you still have another 20K miles. They cleaned them for $50 and I drove another 30K on them.Ive brought my car in for what I thought was major things and they told me they did not need to be fixed. Others would have fixed the things I questioned. I dont do chains places!Again, they have lines 12 deep of people waiting to get inside at 7AM just to get their work done. They have expanded 3x and get to much business to find things to fix.Just call them the night before, tell them whats wrong and drop the keys off. They do all the rest.They know my cars needs and the history of my car. I have warranties on all the work done which IS the most important in continuing with them. Plus, they are very quick.

Dont know much about cars myself and I feel that many places will take advantage of that. This is a great company with honest people and they do a great job.

I love the staff here. Theyre super friendly and Im glad I finally found a place I can take my car without being ripped off because Im a woman and know nothing about cars lol. Well, I wanted to take this time out and give my feedback about Casey automotive in Palatine, IL. I admit that I had my doubts about their expansive services but I was totally surprised that they didnt even charge me for anything. I had a failed emission testing and I took my car to them. Usually they charge $69+ taxes for diagnostics. They ran diagnostics and didnt find anything wrong with the car. They told me that I should drive the car for few days and bring it back to them to run the diagnostics again. For both the times they didnt charge me anything. I was totally impressed by their professional and honest services. I would like to thank Jessie for spending time on my car and giving his honest opinions. Finally an auto shop I can trust - Mike and the guys took great care of my Sprinter van. What was interesting was I initially took my van to a local Mercedes Sprinter shop that quoted me over $3,800.00 in repairs that I knew were unnecessary - when I took it to Casey I was told the truck was well maintained and it only needed a new belt in addition to the standard oil change. Amazing. Ill be taking all my vehicles here from now on.

We have used Casey Auto for decades and I have always felt they want the car as safe as if their own family were to be driving the car! They are professional, courteous and friendly no matter the circumstances and they really care for their customers safety.

I dont feel that I was treated honestly at this repair shop. Even though they came recommended by my family and they have been using this place for years - I felt that not only was the price that was quoted higher than other shops in the area but they also found many other problems that needed to be fixed. I didnt have the work done there at the time, one is because the estimate was so high, and two was because I felt that I have a fairly good understanding of vehicle maintenance and the items that were quoted didnt seem to make sense. I dont like feeling that I am not able to trust the person or persons that will be working on my car - I will be going elsewhere.

Stopped in to have a headlight bulb replaced. They were super busy but Fausto was able to have someone do it right away. Fausto was extremely polite and friendly, the service was wonderful. After being treated horribly at the Hyundai dealership in Palatine where I was kept waiting for 2 hours and told it would cost twice at much, this was wonderful. I was in and out in 15 minutes. I highly recommend them.

I have a 2008 Avalanche that a had a major break issue. Took it in and they replaced the front pads and rotors in less than 2 hours. As for price i was very surprised. The price was $200 less than my normal shop I go to. This was my first visit and I was very satisfied with the service, speed, and price. Nice work Casey team! I will be back for future repairs.

Honestly their service deserves the 5 stars. My car kept failing the emissions test so I brought it back in. They somehow got the computer to reset, took it in and emissions tested it for me, all for no additional charge! They stand by their guarantee and I will absolutely be coming back.

Great deal on oil changes but ANY mechanical work you do there is grossly over priced. They quoted me $140for a set of rotors for my 03 Chevy truck that I bought AC Delco brand at $65. And they charge $35 to grease the calipers.... what, really? Horses**t!!!!! $700 total quote for all 4 rotors and pads where I paid $400 for the same job elsewhere.Friendly people but I guess I would be friendly to people paying me almost double for work too.

The customer service at this location cant be beat! They didnt just explain what was wrong, but showed me, in addition to helping me understand why it was in disrepair before they fixed it. They had it done in just a couple hours, gave me a loaner car to run errands while they were working on it so I could go about my normal day, and when I got back, not only did I find out that the parts they replaced were still under warranty, but didnt charge me for labor because they were fixing something that they had already fixed in the past. So, I HIGHLY recommend Casey Automotive in Palatine. Especially if you get to work directly with the shop manager, Mike. He treats you right and is probably the most forthcoming mechanic Ive ever met! Definitely worth the drive there, and I WILL be going back for all my car service needs!

This place is absolutely terrible. I got my brakes replaced on my car less than 2 years ago and they seemed nice enough and took care of everything. So, I go into get a humming nose looked at which sounded like a wheel bearing to me and they tell me I need new tires, so I tell them to go ahead and put tires on. They call me back after the new tires are on to tell me that I need a new wheel bearing, and all new brakes. And they wont be able to get it done until the next day. I mean come on. Me and the rest of my household will be going elsewhere. I recommend the same for anyone else.

Went to go get an oil change, they used the wrong oil because my car kept lighting up the oil light right after I got the oil change!, a week later my check engine light turns after having this car with no check engine light problems. They ruined my car. I suggest people to go somewhere familiar like Midas etc., there promotions are not worth it.

I took my girlfriends car here to have her brakes looked at. I was quoted around $700 for work needed on front and back of the car. I personally thought this was outrageous so I took the car to the infiniti dealership. They replaced the front pads and shaved the rotors for around $200+ and stated everything else looked fine. Hmm... So what car was Casey looking at? Places like Casey exist for those consumers who do NOT want to pay high dealership service prices. I honestly felt they were trying to rob me. Wont be returning for any more quotes. In this case the dealership seems to be more honest and affordable.
