First time Ive been here, but it will definitely not be the last. When the first pair of struts didnt work quite the way he wanted,, be did them again, and even ended up upgrading to manufacturer parts. Angel went above and beyond to make sure the work was done right. Be was honest and fair, and even apologized that it took longer to get the job done right. Worst experience at a auto repair ever. 1.5 hours for a oil change. Rude employees. Expect people to just wait while they go get a air filter after doing the oil change (and waiting for over 45 minutes already) and then tried to charge me more. I will never go back and I highly recommend no one use this business. The employees speak rudely in Spanish about their customers and think people don’t understand and then they turn around and are extremely disrespectful and rude in English to the customer too. Horrific experience.

I cannot say enough good things about Velasquez Complete Auto Care. Friendly staff, professional, experienced mechanics who thoroughly looked over my car. They’d offered several options for the repair to my exhaust. They gave me pointers on what I should repair or service next. Efficient, thorough service and very competitively priced. Worst experience Ive had, EVER! Went to get my car checked due to an oil leak and coolant leak. A coolant issue they had already worked on before hand and charged me a whopping 800$ for. Turns out the car was still leaking. I was then told they couldnt find any other place it was leaking coolant and therefore basically quit searching to resolve the issue. As for the oil leak, THEY WERENT ABLE to find where it was coming from too!! They charged me 100$ To clean the engine to then take again and find where the leak was coming from. No thanks, you guys are just focused on money here. Never again.

I walked in at 945am and they had my car done and on great condition after 1.5 hrs. Service was quick and a great price for breaks. They were professional and very nice people. I recommended this company as top quality and will continue to share their quality work.

I asked that they replace the exhaust hangers and fix the holes since it was loud rattling bad any time I went over bumps. They said it didnt need it and only needed the flex pipes replaced. The muffler sounds a lot better but, it still rattles bad when going over even tiny bumps since it did need the hangers replaced. It also sounds like its spraying air out of the weld job from the flex pipes not being totally sealed.

UPDATE 10/21/20. Im back at Velasquez for an alternator replacement. The car went out while I was dropping off my son at the daycare. They took my car in immediately, offered fair pricing and made the repair. I LOVE THIS PLACE!UPDATE 7/17/20:. I have taken my car to their shop twice now and my wifes car once. All 3 repairs have been done with nothing but great detail. Im taking my wifes car in there again for another repair. These guys are always trustworthy and very very fair. Highly recommend this shop!

Best repair shop experience in my life. I had the exhaust break near flex joint on my way to take my son to daycare. Stopped in to get a quote and they threw it right on the lift. I walked my son to daycare (5 minutes away) when I got back it was done and done well. Great price and service!

I called ahead for alignment because they had a good price . They told me bring it in. I showed up he drove mechanic drives my truck and tells me to take it to ntb cuz his alignment machine is broken. Ntb wants nothing to do with me for that price. On some bs that they will get to it wen they can but the place is empty. So I end up taking it to Velasquez in gurnee. And they messed my truck up even more . Charged me 240 bucks all lost becuz my truck is not aligned at all. It didnt even turn left and they blamed it on my gear box. I got my truck home and worked on it myself. My truck now turns left. My alignment is not right. Shame on u people. I lost 240 bucks. They mustve got their asae certification like me in a garage . Shame on these so called pros.

LOL THIS PLACE IS REDICULOUS THEY CHANGED MY REAR BRAKE PADS AND THEY INSTALLED IT INCORRECTLY, THEY WORN OUT AFTER 3 MONTHS BECAUSE THEY DIDNT AJUST THEM NOW I HAVE TO CHANGE PRAKE PADS AND ROTORS. THE GUY THAT WORKED ON MY CAR DIDNT EVEN SPEAK ANY ENGLISH ALL OF THE WORKERS DONT SPEAK ENGLISH ONLY THE HUY AT REGISTER DOES. LOL THEY BLAME IT THAT THE BRAKE PADS WERE BAD AND I BOUGHT ORIGINAL FROM DEALERSHIP. THIS PLACE IS UNPROFFESIONAL AND LIERS FOR BLAMING THAT MY PADS WERE THE ISSUE.

Yea after you guys fixed my exhaust my alternator ground wire was loose and I bought a new battery and now I have a misfire in cylinder 4. I bought new plugs and coil packs and it did not fix the problem. I am not going to give you a good review.

The mechanic charged me for just bringing it in. I went in to get my AC looked and they told me that there was nothing wrong with it, after I went to pick it up.. I was charged and was told if I didn’t pay they would take out the gas from the Ac duct and it wouldn’t work anymore. I ended up paying.

I recently needed some exhaust system work done to my car. I went to my dealership where I normally get all my work done, but they did not do the extensive work I needed done. I asked them for a reliable recommendation because I wont let just anyone perform maintenance on my car. The dealership recommended Velasquez to me. Upon arriving the first thing I noticed is the shop very clean, which I like. The staff is Professional, Polite, and Informative. The prices are reasonable and the service was great! I would recommend this location and plan to go back in the future!

A mechanic friend referred me to Velasquez Auto Care in Palatine, and I seriously could not wait to give a 5 Star Review!!I called first, and spoke to Juan. He was very friendly and informative..and took the time to patiently answer all of my questions.When I brought the car in, he took a look and had me come into the garage so he could show me exactly what was wrong, and explained exactly what needed to be done to repair the issue.I had already received various quotes, and his quote (including a 1 year warranty) beat the lowest quote I had received by hundreds of dollars!I just had the work completed today, and I could not be happier! The shop is clean, has a TV and coffee, and I was in and out in a little over an hour. I would absolutely recommend Velasquez Complete Auto Care to anybody for all of your auto repair needs.

With all the good reviews and my first time going there had a really bad experience. Took my vehicle yes I got my vehicle back and it was running good but a few days later my vehicle broke down and it was for some work that this people had done without consulting nor authorization so now I have a vehicle not working so not the best place to recommend for vehicle repairs. Cal the place of course pissed off and my manager Romas was told to shut up, excuse me. If they hadnt not stuff without consulting it this would have not happen and they offer to fix it, really? You would think I will take my vehicle back again. DONT think so.

Had my exhaust done cheap at Arlington Muffler (closed now), i noticed a rattle and Valesquez took a look and noticed that very cheap piping was used. I took that as a lesson of you get what you pay for and asked Valesquez to fix me up. In the matter of about 2 hours they had me back on the road. They invited me into the garage to look at their work, and I was WOWd by the quality! Definitely exceeded my expectations. Will come here from now on for any exxhaust work I need in the future!

Review in Spanish at the end. This place was expensive, has bad customer service and they are not the most honest people. Brakes were done for all 4 wheels, which were very expensive to begin with, $ 750 pad and rotor replacement, but I agreed to get them done by a professional and certified mechanic. After the job was done, the brakes worked, but I found out later my parking brake wasnt working anymore as it was before I took my car in for service. I went back to the shop and told them that my parking brake is not working anymore. The mechanic in the office said oh you dont need them. After trying to explain that I use it and the reason why the manufacturer included them, he added they are there just for luxury. I was dumbfound and besides myself. Anyway, after insisting to check my parking brakes, they agreed.Two hours later, they checked the car and the other mechanic checking the car, told me that the parking brakes were missing one of the brake pads and told me that I didnt need my parking brakes, and that they are only used when driving in mountains and added but Im not going to argue with you, because you obviously know more . I was already aggravated, but his got me even madder and I said, its not what I know, the manufacturer placed a parking brake for a reason. He added, Im not going to argue with you but kept on saying that I didnt need the parking brake. Then he added, we can fix them, but it is going to be expensive With that I asked them to give me my keys, because Im not going to proceed with the repairs.I could write more of what went on and their poor and unprofessional customer service, but Im not coming back ever for any repairs here anymore.I took my car to Velasquez for repair of the brakes of the 4 wheels. Although the price of $ 750 which was expensive, but I accepted because it would be done by a professional and certified mechanic. Probably it is not their fault, maybe it is the fault of my turner company to which I am Pagan for a package in case of mechanical problems and they do not respond as they would have, and it took about 3 weeks, the mechanical service is fine, my car has not failed .. .but they did not give me papers or receipts of what was done no guarantee of the work many irregularities they delivered my car very dirty with grease in the interior ((I gave it almost full the tank and I received it empty .... Im going to start a complaint with whoever it has to be.
