Very freindly and helpful staff in and out in under a hour and a half.

I arrived at the Palatine discount tire location at 2:40pm. My front right tire had recently went over a nail and the air in the tire was depleting quickly. When I arrived I was told it was a quick and easy job and my car would be ready at 4pm. I also mentioned to the front female associate that I had an important appointment at 5pm and needed to leave no later than 4:15pm to make it on time. I was told this wouldn’t be a problem. I didn’t feel comfortable driving around knowing one of my tires was slowly leaking air. I sat for almost two hours and watched other cars who came after me get serviced. I walked up to the front desk to ask for an updated finish time and I was told my car was being pulled in next. This was another lie. Eventually I left at 4:34pm without having my car serviced and it was a big waste of my time. I do not recommend this tire shop. They do not set proper expectations for the wait even after they mentioned it was a quick job.

So I went in for some winter tires. I called ahead made appointment for today. Came 10mins earlier then my appointment time was. They were very busy. The one salesman said 3:15 be ready. Appointment was at 2:15. Ok can deal with that. So they had 3 cars in bays. Its about 2:40. Still no were in sight my ride. Its spose to be done 3:15 right. Thats their words. I talk to a salesman again like if my car not going to get done by 3:15 just let me get my keys an Im taking off. So he told his boss Jimmy . An then thats when the magic happened. I look threw window and hear comes my ride into the bay. 2:46pm 3 employees jump on my ride. Just like a pit crew. Next thing u know Manger Jimmy pulls car up to front door with 2 mins to spare. 3:13pm . I pay for my new winter tires. Got 225 65 17 winter gt ice pro 3 I think. Drove on them nice a quiet. Cant wait for snow now. So I know saturdays at discount tires are always crazy busy. I always come hear for the price an product. But today I got the best service too.THANK YOU DISCOUNT TIRES EMPLOYEES FOR THE AMAZING SERVICE YOU GAVE ME TODAY!!

I sat in this god forsaken place for over two hours to get ONE tire repaired. Not once did anyone even approach my car after the initial inspection and no less than 3 walk-ins got in and out ahead of me with more repairs needed than mine. I will never be coming back to this location and will tell everyone to avoid it like the plague.

The help there are always so professional and gave me great service. I do recommend going online to get an appointment or downloading the app. That makes things go much faster. I would suggest shopping around for a tire pressure monitoring system if you need that.

I had 1 tire replaced after a blowout. They had very fast service and knocked off $6 on the tire so I could get a warranty. Definitely going back next time!!

Having another set of replacement tires installed today at Discount Tire in Palatine. Service and team here are great. Process moves quickly and efficiently and they care about you and your vehicle. Bought a set of replacements for my kids Hyundai a couple of weeks ago. I was so impressed that I returned for the replacements on my BMW today!

I had a nail in my tire and didn’t have an appointment, so I walked in and they took care of me right away!First off, they made me feel very comfortable coming in, everything was contactless and everyone was wearing masks (properly) and social distancing.The patching service was FREE and they were kind and friendly through the whole process. I highly recommend this location! They definitely have a new customer in me!

Got four new tires and two new tire sensors put on and within a couple hours my check tire pressure alert comes on. I pull into another Discount Tire (Lombard) to see what the issue was. The sensor had been so carelessly applied that it had been torn to the point and in an area that was causing my brand new tire to leak air quite rapidly and the store manager said I was lucky to have got the car in there when I had risking the imminent danger of a flat, and I had just been driving on the highway.

They always do a good job for me at a reasonable price.

I have been loyal to this store for more than 10 years but loyally is not appreciated anymore. Ordered set of new tires and specifically mentioned that I am driving on the spare tire and flat one is in the trunk. During check out I was assured that they swap flat tire with the spare. Coming home from the store finding the same flat tire in the trunk. Why would they need to feed me with fake news knowing that sooner or later I would find out?

Brought my SUV to discount tire in Palatine. After 1hour 45 min one of them came to me and said that cant put the tire back on the rim. ( that is what they usually do to sell new tires ) because I came just for balance and rotation. For that no one takes tires off the rim. And they did. Was explained: you have nail. ( First of all they could ask me if I want it fixed and I would say no. Because never had issue with air leak. ) and when I asked to see it, appears to be nail not through but just on top. removed and there is no hole! But they said they cant put tire back on rim and now They recommend me to buy new tires. Which is for my car almost $1300 4tires.So why do you stuff no one ask you for???!!!I said I want it back same way it was, and they refused to do so. They did put spare tire and wished me great Saturday after 2 hours spent of my weekend time at 5pm when they closed so I cant even go anywhere by Monday.Disgusting smiling money makers try to sell you tires putting you in no way condition refusing put everything back together the way it was. But at first place tire was not supposed to be taken off. It is not a service!!!Now I am stuck and have to buy new tires. I still had 2 year life on them! Will never go here and will tell everybody I know about them!Now I brought this tire to other shop and they told me that last shop ( discount tire ) damaged my tire when took it off!So now discount tire will give me new tire when I explained that. Will wait on it and adjust the review than.Next day they called and said that tire is in. But still I had to pay for another tire to even the tread $258,35.So spent 5 times more and still balancing not done!

It was safe, efficient and such nice and helpful employees! I called and made an appointment. I also was able to air in my car while they put the tires on. An office employee took my payment and returned with my receipt. In this time of covid19 they were great!

With money being so tight, out of work I really couldnt afford tires but desperately needed them. Discount Tire, Matt, hooked me up. He found 3 used tires that were like new and 1 new tire. I really couldnt afford a whole lot but Matt helped me out. Great place, helpful staff and were very fast getting me out within an hour.

Went for tires balance and rotation after making online appointment. They took car in almost right away (in few minutes) and within short 15-20 minutes I was done. Great work done efficiently and courteous staff. Keep it up guys and stay safe.

Bought 4 tires 2 weeks ago..had a lot of shaking in the front end after.. brought it back for them to check. They checked 3 of the four tires and found 1 bad one. I asked them to check the the fourth one. They said they did! I watched the whole process and they did not! Then the manager Matt wanted to argue with me about it instead of just checking it. This is unacceptable. I dont need to argue with someone to get what I paid for. I will be calling corporate on this.

Misleading sales and terrible service.After buying 4 tires and having issues with one Discount Tire repeatedly tried to up sell me on a new tire and buy a new rim. After getting a second opinion I was told the rim is fine and did not need to be replaced.Terrible service. I made an appointment, but when I arrived I was told I needed to wait (up to) an hour for service. I was told I can’t go home to wait, even though I live down the street, because they want to get through them fast.Find a different location for your tire needs.

They do get you done quickly...especially now with covid.The prices and people are good.

Well....it is a long story but hear we goTook my car in to get new tires and they said that one of my lug nuts was cross threaded and they could not give me my car back and they did not have the capability to fix it . Last place I had the car was at the dealerships and they would of said something as they look at any way to get money from you.sorry for the long story but all is good now. And they did take me and my car to a shop to get it repaired. The shop went out of the way to make sure the job was done right so I give them a thumbs up....if was not for them I dont know what I would of done

Service here is outstanding. The facility is modern and clean, the staff are nice, and workmanship is solid. Customer service in particular is great...they repair tires for free (even if you didn’t buy it from them), and have a spot you pull up to and they’ll check and fill air in your tires! Wow.

I needed my tires rotated and walked in for the service. Jorge helped me out this AM. He was very friendly and professional. I was informed that there were 5 others in front of me, so there would be a slight wait. The Discount Tire team was able to get my rotation done in less than an hour. My husband is very particular where we take our cars for service and we have ALWAYS been impressed by their COMPETITIVE PRICES, EXCELLENT SERVICE and long lasting, RELIABLE TIRES. We both put a lot of miles on our vehicles weekly and it is imperative that we have good tires especially in IL winter weather. We have recommended this company to our friends and family for years and we receive good feedback from them too. One time my tire on my minivan was wearing unusually quickly and even though it was some time after the purchase of the tire, they replaced it right there on the spot without a wait or a fee. They truthfully told me that it was a faulty tire from the manufacturer that wore incorrectly. Recently, my Honda minivan that I use for driving around children and for my work had a serious problem while it was there and they were able to completely repair it without any difficulty or hassle. One of the managers there, James, was honest and very polite and helpful at this time. We are very appreciative with the honest and professional manner that they handled everything. My husband and I were so very impressed, I can not stress enough to you how much this company goes above and beyond! Well, all of this really prompted me to write a review and share my experience here with others, it is a joy to write a review for such a great place! My story begins at the Schaumburg location where I was told that the screw that entered my run flat tire was not repairable ( on the tread per manufacturer) fast forward to today when I had a nail in my newer tire which I had purchased a few months back, Matt at this location tells me that these tires are in fact repairable and that they were going to try to fix it instead of replace it. Seams like a scam to me. If he wasn’t so rude I would have at least been able to be a little bit more understanding but after a few mins of back and forth he finally agreed to replace the tire. All in all this review is for Matt only with his so called 22 years of experience. Every other interaction I’ve had with this company has been phenomenal.

Matt has a bad attitude and he behaves very condescending. He has been the only person I have ever had issues with. Everyone else is awesome. Jorge is super helpful and educates you to the best product for you.

Great staff and very professional, but this time in last 15 years i have an issue and no one can fix it for me now. I always go there, but this time for one flat tire as per them not repairable I ended up replacing all tires and i was supposed to get the two old tires back which when i got home wasnt there and now they cant find it. This is not good, nor the person told me how to submit the rebate and the deadline was in 4 days so not good at all. Are you guys to pay me for my 2 tires that you didnt return or ?

Decent service on certain days, really nice people at front desk. Been a customer for over a decade. Waiting area is reasonable but wished they had more people to turnover cars quicker similar to Mount Prospect location.

Been there twice...so far so good....service is good...they explain all your options and bring the car out very carefully...not like other places where they just park somewhere and give you the keys. Like the open concept where you can see your car...and whats being done. A + for that.

Their prices may be little competitive however customer service is not that great. I have to wait quite a long time with no reason to get the quote for the tires.

Discount Tire fixed a nail in my tire for free. They continue to fill my tires with air, for free also. They have always been honest with me about my tires. When I lost a hubcap and came in with it all banged up, they asked me to pickup some zip ties, and they would get the busted up cap on for free. Ive bought tires from them before, and will continue to.

Purchased my tires 3 years ago and today I had a low leaking tire. Upon further inspection I was shown my other 3 tires with practically no inner tread and wires exposed. Seriously thanking Jesus for keeping me safe and getting me to Discount Tires with no further incident. They got to work and took care of my needs and gave me a great deal!! Thank you

I brought in a tire with a nail. I was surprised that DT offered to repair it for free, even though I did not purchase it there. I dropped off the tire and was notified by text when it was ready for pick up. When I picked up the tire, it was bagged and put into my trunk. I was amazed in this day that a business offers such high-quality service for free.

2 visits this week and solid in and out experience during covid protocols. Scheduled appointments honored and nearly no wait with appt. Very impressive covid vehicle handling protocols. Tire not in stock on site delivered same day.

I will try to be brief, had new tires put on ( thought I needed new rims) because they didn’t find a leak ( nail ) I left the store very unhappy . I felt like they just wanted to sell the rims . After contacting the manager ( who also happened to be the guy who sold the tires to me ) I was able to keep everything ( not go back to the store ) no one is perfect ( not me anyway ) yet he made it more than right. If you need tires / rims . They will be professional, if something goes wrong they will make it right !!!!

Fast, friendly, and honest tire shop. I highly recommend Discount Tire!They patched our flat tire and remounted the wheel on the car with absolutely no issues. A far cry from the experience we had down the street!Originally took the tire to Midas down the street (by Home Depot) to get it patched. Midas said the tire couldnt be fixed, and a new tire would be $300 plus installation. $100 more than a simple Google search reveled. Total scam artists. After refusing their overpriced tire and service, they told my wife youll have to wait until we finish lunch before they put the spare on for her. Mind you, this was 3:30 PM.............Long story short, Discount Tire has a great group of honest, hard working guys, and and nice shop. Take your car there, you will not be disappointed. I have used them in the past, and I will be exclusively using them in the future.Thank you Discount Tire!

Had them put wheels and tires on my truck, my tires where so far out of balance it was a joke, brought it to a trusted mechanic and he was mad for me. Had a ridiculous amount of weight added. Absolutely terrible service.

Set an appointment at 3:30. I got there around 3:15 checked in was out by 4.Just go online pick your tire, set your appointment and theres no hassle. I watched the guys in the shop for a bit and they had quite good team work.

I called the store at 4:35....1/2 hour before closing with a tire problem. They told me if I could get there before 5, they would take care of me. I got there at 4:45. I was out less than an hour later with a new set of 4 tires .....1 free replacement.Thank you Discount Tire!

Got a tire pressure warning between sales calls today, google led me to this shop. I have purchased tires from this chain (in another state, for another car, more than 15 years ago) so I expected good service. What I got was great service. Quick (just over an hour), efficient (did what was needed and nothing more) and the price was right. I know I will need tires soon, and I will go out of my way to purchase them from this dealer, at this location.

Too the staff working the closing shift on Wednesday oct 9th who was busting their buns, Thank you. Not only were they kind and (a bit absurdly) timely to me, their interactions with other customers, who had just walked in before close or had been waiting in line, were genuine. So I went in to Discount Tire with a relatively simple job, dismount the tires from my wheels. I was smart enough to take before pictures of my wheels before they went in just be on the safe side and boy Im glad I did. They got me out the door relatively quick, and my wheels were in plastic bags when I left and I was in a rush so I did not get a chance to inspect them. Later on during the day, I checked my wheels and they were chipped. I know it does not sound like a big deal but they are expensive wheels that took a couple months to import from Japan. Not only Im I upset about the experience but Im really disappointed because they all seem like nice people. They are professionals and I do not need to remind them to damage my wheels. On top of that, the manager who billed my charged me for dismounting 19 wheels instead of 18. It may only be like $4 or $5 dollars difference per wheel, but it is very upsetting that they cannot bill or perform the work correctly. They have definitely have lost all my trust and I will not recommend this place to anyone unless it is your absolute last resort.

A true 5 star experience! I had a puncture in a tire that needed repair. The Discount guys had the tire fixed, back on the car, and spare put neatly away in about 25 minutes. Extremely polite and patient with everyone who came in on a really busy morning - including some grumpy customers! They did everything at no charge, per their policy which is terrific. It was so quick I didnt have time to finish my coffee. Great work everybody. Well be back!
