Buying a car at Palatine Hyundai was actually a pleasant experience. We worked with Chet and he’s an awesome guy. We came in knowing exactly which car we wanted, and he got us the exact car without upselling us another model. I would recommend making an appointment with him - he makes the process quick and easy, isn’t pushy, and he’s fun to chat with while you do a test drive or wait for the finance office. It really didn’t feel like working with a car salesman, it really felt like just hanging out and chatting with a neighbor. We had to wait for the model we wanted to come in, but Dan, the manager, let us get first dibs as soon as the car arrived. Overall I would recommend this dealership and definitely Chet.

It’s been 3 months I am going back and forth to this dealership to fix my car which is under Hyundai warranty +I bought extended warranty also, so I have 2 coverage and they told me they can’t fix it.I try to contact the manager and every single time I rich him he say ( I will call the extended warranty company and back to you ) and he never did.I keep emailing him and texting him and he never respond.I called my extended warranty company and I was shocked when they told me ( no one contact them, and they will cover my car problem)I think he is Busy enough to not answering my emails or call the warranty company.The only reason I guess he is not doing his job is because the extended warranty company don’t pay him enough.I don’t recommend anyone go there.By the way .. the only time he called me 1st time when I put my 1st review and it was just to delete it.I will update you guys.

Easily the most quick and painless car sale I have ever done in my life. AJ helped me get payments within my budget for the car that I had to have. Jake worked very hard to get me the best price using the info I provided him on what I wanted. Chris was very helpful and answered all my questions. I was very pleased with the service I received. The very long wait to get into the financing person was the only negative comment I have. The financing person was very organized and did his best to make the process faster to get me out.

BEWARE OF BAIT AND SWITCH SCAM!!I was excited to get my new vehicle and once I was ready to go over the numbers I was informed by the sales man that I HAD to purchase a protection appearance package for $2595 because they said that’s how they are adjusting the price due to the market conditions. They would not remove this package and would not sell me the car without it. even though I didn’t want it. And even though online there was no indication of this extra charge they didn’t even honor my online e - price that I printed from their own website. This was a complete bait and switch I wouldn’t waste your time going to this establishment they will increase the price on your vehicle just because they want too.

Hyundai of Palatine met and exceeded all my expectations. I traveled 5 hrs to purchase a used car, I expected dealership bs, but I was shocked to make the purchase in 2 hrs with no bs.

He wasted no time getting it at the price I wanted. There was little to no negotiating as he was able to work get my price approved almost immediately after I got there. The sales manager was very nice and professional as well. This was a pretty painless process and I would say the buying experience was one of the better experiences Ive ever had. There were several cars being sold and they made sure I was comfortable as they prepared my vehicle. I was given the proper attention and the best part was the buying process was fast and efficient. Id say most of the time spent was them getting the car ready. Im adding another car to my Turo fleet so I will definitely be returning.

The good: Freddi was very friendly, patient, and gave plenty of detailed info about the car. I ended up with a car that was exactly what I was looking for.The bad: I spent 6 hours at the dealership, much of it waiting around for 2 minutes (busy Saturday), and nobody ever offered me food or even asked if I would like to leave for lunch. When we discussed the price of the vehicle, I said I would like to talk about the price first and financing later. I was brought a sheet of paper with the MSRP, a number of fees and markups, and a total price. I went through negotiations thinking this was the price of the vehicle. When I went into the financing department, I realized that the total price I had seen was the amount of the loan - the price after subtracting my down payment. I ended up buying the vehicle anyway, but I am second-guessing that decision. In hindsight, I should have understood that amount financed was the amount of the loan, not the total price, but Freddi was definitely not trying to help me understand better. In addition, I was heavily pressured to give a 5 star review in front of the sales rep.TL:DR, the dealers are friendly, but I feel like I was manipulated and not well cared for

We were looking at the Palisade but also viewed the Tucson.
