I have had issues with a slow tire leak on my car since I bought it. Two different ford dealerships, another mechanic and a tire shop have not been able to diagnose my issue. After this winter all my tire started leaking, I decided to give Stephens Auto a shot. They were quick, professional and accommodating. I cant say enough about this place! We have a specialty vehicle (MV-1 handicapped accessible) that is very difficult to get serviced. The company that sold it to us refuses to help us with parts, service and general maintenance. Was in Palatine for the weekend and early Saturday morning my battery light came on, then car was acting funny, and then the car wouldnt even start. I called Stephens Automotive at 10:00 AM and Joe came out to analyze the problem. He jumped the battery and we got it back to his shop. I let him know that I was hoping to head back home on Sunday. Even though the shop closed at noon on Saturday, Joe analyzed the problem, worked until 2:00 PM to install new battery and alternator and got my car back to me Saturday afternoon. Excellent service in a time of need and cant say enough about his willingness to get car back to me on Saturday so I could head back home on Sunday. I brought my 2011 Ford Edge in to Stephens Automotive after having an issue with the brakes. Joe called me later in the day and informed me that my brake booster was in need of repair. He also informed that there was an extended warranty with Ford for this exact issue and I may be eligible for a free repair if I brought it to Ford. Stephens Automotive is very trustworthy and saved me about $1,700. I will definitely go back for other service needs in the future!

My car wouldnt start the other day; as its my only transportation, I needed it addressed ASAP so I called Stephens. They had a tow truck here within the hour, even though theirs was tied up. Since it was late in the day, they werent able to inspect until the following morning, but they got right on it and found not only was the battery no longer holding a charge, but my serpentine belt was cracked. I also needed an oil change. Stephens completed all repairs that same day, and I was back on the road before end of business without breaking the bank. Always polite, always explaining in detail what needs to be addressed and why, and what can wait. I was also pleasantly surprised to find a box of Girl Scout Cookies on the dash when I picked up my repaired vehicle! Ill never take my car anywhere else, not while Stepehns is around. I had already investigated my cars issue and looked up the estimated range for repairs. Of the shops that were called they were the ONLY local shop of 4-5 called that provided a quote that was fair and in line with the industry standard for the expected repair which the diagnosis confirmed. I have never dealt with a more-honest auto shop. I took my car in and they gave me a cost for the repair. Then, when they were not able to do the repair because a prior auto shop had given me some incorrect information, which I had passed on to them, they were not even upset with the situation. They even called to see if I wanted them to pick me up at my home and bring me back to get my car! I will get the repair done at the dealership, as they recommended, and then going right back to them for my oil changes, brakes and any and all other work.
