I was here for the eye exam (for glasses, no contact.) The prescription was close to my old one so I have no complaints about that part. The procedure was pretty quick, but I had to wait for 15 mins before and after. They then just gave me the prescription results and asked for payment. Thats it. The other place I went to showed me some photos of my eyes and explained to me which was which and what was wrong with my eyes, very detailed. This place, none of that. I was a little disappointed. I might or might not come back.
The store manager is more worried about getting in trouble than reasonable accommodation to medical issues. I would not recommend utilizing this store.
I’ve lived in Odessa for 8 years and will only use Stanton optical! My daughter needs glasses now so we both use Stanton optical and wouldn’t use anyone else. They have free eye exams and are very helpful as soon as we walk in the door. I recommend!
Best optometrist I’ve ever seen even though it wasn’t in person. He does it over video chat as of right now. Staff is completely nice and they had my glasses ready in 30 minutes, for 2 pairs of glasses and an exam it was only $60. They saved me $130 going to them and getting glasses at the same time instead of going to get a $90 exam and getting $100 pair of glasses. Definitely will go back.
Very bad experience. Got text 3 different times and glasses were not in the store I live in another town and was very upset with all the trips and then when they came in one pair I couldnt see anything so there were go again having to wait for who knows how long to get them back. I will go somewhere else the next time I need glasses

I was totally unimpressed by the experience at this optical shop. I went in for an exam and glasses after having cataract surgery. Exam was by remote control, and lack personal approach. I opted to get a second pair of glasses and even asked for the extra dark photo-sensitive lenses and no line bifocals.After having issues and going back once over the failure of the lenses to get dark enough, I have simply decided that it isnt worth the battles. They didnt get the lenses right, and its difficult to see through the bifocal lens. Just not at all daisies, and I will not be returning again. Highly recommend considering another provider for eye care needs.
I brought my son here for 3 years and havent gone anywhere else he likes that the transition glasses they offered and it makes it more easier for him to see now... the staff were very helpful when changing my order after it was put in thank you guys

I called to see if I could set up an appointment and I wanted to see if they were open on the weekend so I can have a have a doctor I exam done done on the weekend and this guy was rude and didnt really answer my questions he said yes theyre open on the weekends didnt answer if they had a doctor who does eye exams for the weekend got even ruder when I told him I could not set up the appointment because I had to check with my dad to see if we could set up an appointment If that day was fine if the time was fine and then he goes to say well we have to set up an appointment I said no because its not for me is for my dad and he says well then dont worry just have it Does not give me the information that I want and does not give me the information that I need. Just hangs up on me why because I didnt want to set up the appointment thats root service you will get a one star and reality you should get no stars

Just went today its pretty weird doing the eye exam through the TV but the future is now. I had a great experience made my appointment time was sat immediately and was able to go get my workout and shopping done. I love the environment definitely a place to get your lens and contacts for the few who cant see.
Doctor spoke in Spanish to my husband. He took the time to explain everything. Great Staff.

MISLEADING AND DISHONEST TO GET YOUR BUSINESSI called days in advance to make an appointment. I specifically asked the man if they take my insurance. He said just to bring the card with me. I told him I wanted to know if they take my insurance BEFORE I set the appointment so none of us would be wasting time. So he asked me what it’s called. I even spelled it for him. He said yes, we take it then he preceded in telling me how much it would be for the appt. I asked him why he was giving me an amount if they’re in network and we don’t have a copay. He said “oh no, that’s just what we’ll charge the insurance”. So I went ahead and made the appt. my daughters get there and they lady tells them they don’t take insurance. My daughter told the lady exactly what my phone call was before and she said it was the answering machine. I said bull. I spoke to a LIVE PERSON. THEY ARE MISLEADING!! Have some dignity and be upfront!!! If you work in-store for these people, you deserve better than to be associated with a company with loose morals.

Went in for prescription, contacts, and glasses. Waited in line for two hours for an eye exam to find out the doctor was virtual. After completing the exam, the prescription that came out was for different strengths to each eye and bifocals. I do not need bifocals. Never have. The doctor did not check my near vision in the exam. So, I refused the bifocals and had to wait an extra hour while for the doctor to reply to an email. After the doctor replied, the prescription was corrected to the same in both eyes, but he left bifocals on the prescription. I paid for glasses and two boxes of contacts with instructions, no bifocals. Waited a week for contacts to come in. The contacts were bifocals. Sent them back, because I can not use them. Waited a few days more for glasses. Surprisingly the glasses were as requested. Waited another few days for contacts. Now the contacts suddenly have the original prescription for different powers to each eye, and only one box. Stanton Optical has wasted my time and I never once saw a doctor. In fact, I ended up paying nearly $200 cash and $200 from insurance for an eye exam performed by a TV monitor, and incompetent service. I WILL NOT BE BACK.
OUT OF NETWORK - i am not wasting my time or money on this place again. They file on your insurance all screwed up when you get an eye exam so when you want to take your prescription to shop around for glasses, you CANT. Because the way they filed used up your benefits. Forcing you to pay full price on frames. Oh, but they will give you a “discount” that comes from their commission so they’ll only go as low as they want to. Shut this place down already.
False advertisement, I took my prescription and frames to be filled at Staton optical because it’s same day . Well it’s not ! They said they would send it off and it would take 2 weeks . After 2 weeks with no contact I went to the store, they said they had to re-do them again and they would be ready on Aug . 5 th. No one sent an email like I was told they would so I called and could not get ahold of the store . I got some call service answering the phones not at the store I think it was in a foreign country . He said they had to send them off and it was done on Aug. 3rd. And I should be notified on aug . 18th. I told him it was unacceptable and I wanted a refund and my frames back . He put me on hold then they hung up. I called back and asked for someone that could actually help call me back he hung up. The worst service ever !!!!! Use anyone but Stanton !
Fantastic service! I had never used them before, but my first experience was great. I had to return after two weeks of having a new free shoot them up. They were very understanding, and they made everything right. I only had to pay 20% of the original cost because I purchased the warranty when I first purchased the frames. Highly recommend!

Terrible experience with them, honestly screwed me on my glasses making me pay around 300 for them, $95 because I had insurance gladly and not even a month later, 17 days and they already have a scratch on them which is very distracting when I drive. My last pair I had for about 2 years from a different company had no scratches whatsoever. On top of it all they told me they couldnt help me because I never bought the warranty that I would have to buy the lenses again even though I just got them.The reply that was given that number does not work which Ive tried to call a few times now and wont go through.
I don’t recommend this Optical, I have to go other place to have the right graduation for my contact glasses, I was expecting to see a Dr to check my eyes in person but my surprise when I enter to the room was someone in tv, asking 1 or 2, of course my graduation was wrong, so I had to go and pay again in other optical.

Good thing was quick service. A little expensive but never had problems till now as far as service. A lot of people were on their phone though and when getting my eyes examined the doctor is through a TV monitor who is hard to understand and I tried to tell him a different answer then what he gave me as choices and he just kept repeating himself until I gave him an answer of the 2 choices (I was seeing double and that never happened and was trying to explain that situation). After that, I just wanted to get my contacts and jet. Lady walks up, tells me there is a buy 1 get 1 free but when explaining I just wanted contacts for now she seemed upset I wasnt getting glasses like a waste of her time. Then when ordering contacts she seemed very uninterested in helping. So I didnt purchase any contacts or glasses and wasted $90.00 on an exam that may not even be correct. Will be looking for somewhere else to go. Im not one to give bad ratings and I try to think maybe she just had a bad day but I just am that disappointed with my service today.

Dont recommend it. It says buy one get one free. No wonder. I went and they wanted to charge me $400 dollars for one pair and the second would be freeToo expensive for cheap, plastic ugly frames. They wanted to charge my husband $600 dollars or his one pair of glasses. Ended up not buying anything butwas still charged for the prescription. Which I ended up not needing it at all. Payed $100 dollars for nothing. I hated it, and.im.very upset. They said when I called that they would accept my insurance but when I got there, they said they did not. And when they had done my exam, they said I had to pay for it.dont go there, you will get scammed.
Dont bother making appointments. They take people as they come in off street, so whoever signs in first goes ahead of appointment customer. Which means appointment customer waits over an hour maybe two, while walk-in waits five minutes going ahead of the appointment customer.Update: the glasses were found. No more headaches or dizziness.Thank you for helping us owner. Glad to have the glasses🤓

My wife went in today and had the hardest time there when the acting manager couldnt do i simply task and look up some replacement frames on a file that we have there and questioning if we even go there and had my wife and niece look threw every frame and compare if they are the same and fit the lenses that we had how hard is it for that simply task all your job will not be going here again

She realized after taking the exam my eyesight was very bad and continue to help me improve my eyesight by buying glasses with great pricing and specials they had. Help me get the glasses that I wanted and made sure I was happy with my service.
Its been almost a month since me and my wife went in for an eye exam,they are quick to charge us hundreds of dollars, but will not give us my glasses and her contacts. Other places take about 3 days to give you your new glasses, shoot even in Juarez Mx they have your glasses ready in an hour. Ridiculous!!Joaquin P

I had my eye exam July 2nd, 2020 for eyeglasses and contact lens. I received the contact lens July 30th, in the packet was a trial lens and contacts lens for 6 months, after trying the lens I realized I couldn’t see with it everything was blurry and it was hurting my eyes. I went back to the store to take back the 6 months supply and explained to the store representative that I can’t see in them. They did have me take another eye exam, which the result turned out the same. Next thing was to order me another trial in a different brand. While all this was happening, the store manager was letting me know that they can’t take back the one they already ordered because I opened the 6-month supply box. I explained numerous times that one of the boxes was already opened, and I opened the other one to confirm if I have the right prescription because I could not understand why the trail lens was so blurry and hurting my eyes. They ordered another brand of trial, and the manager said when I come back to pick up the new trail, he would see what he can do about taking the old ones back. I received the new trial in August, that fit well, I went back Sept 14th, to return or exchange the old lens, and the manager told me they can’t take it back because I opened both, and I still say, I opened one. I was told I would have to buy a brand new one and they can only offer 20% discount on the new lens. Here are my issues with that statement. #1, I paid out of pocket for the lens, I already felt like I paid too much for the lens and glasses combined together which I think it’s a lot for how they come up with the numbers even with insurance. Secondly, no one ever explained or told me “NOT TO OPEN” the box when I picked up the contact lens. Something like that would be a clear instruction to give a customer if you had a policy like that in place. Thirdly, You should never go ahead and order a contact lens for a customer without making sure the trial lens fits perfectly first, that is a terrible idea, and went I stated all this facts the, manager tried to justify that’s how Doctors office do it. Which isn’t true, this is my first time at Stanton optical, but this isn’t my first-time getting contact lens. And the most upsetting thing is how nonchalant the people there are, they will keep repeating the same statement “just pay for new lens” like everyone can just afford to drop money like that.

Given me the wrong appointments .On the 22nd Have glasses order today the 04/28 and not Arriving until May 4 month of the week waiting for Glasses no gratitude that the classes are delayed I want to demand my money back. Dr. isnt there does it over video and in a hurry. Doesnt even deserve a star, was trying to get a new prescription, had to go back a second time around because I couldnt see out of the contacts they prescribed me. Got a refund and not going back.

I went in for a eye exam while they were understaffed and heavily booked. They were professional and did their best to get us all taken care of.I got my frames from another dealer online so I just went for my eye exam, prescription, and lenses. My frames were pushed back 2 weeks so I went ahead and gave my online dealer my prescription from Stanton Optical to put on my frames, since they were on back order.I went the next day to get a refund for my lenses I purchased from SO and the manager told me they don’t normally give refunds but he understood my situation. He was professional and compassionate. I really appreciate his understanding.Thanks

I was going to give this place a 1 star but the doctor kind of saved it.They got me in quick but I had to verify my own insurance while the girl at the desk scrolled Facebook on her phone. She made several comments about it being close to lunch time and made little to no effort to look up my insurances herself before I had to call and do it myself. The place is having sewer problems and definitely smells like it. There is little to bo sanitation happening which made me uncomfortable when I was asked to remove my mask.The doctor did clean his room and equipment before I went it.I would not recommend coming in during the pandemic as people are free to try on glasses and not wearing masks during the pressure tests or photos of the eye.A lot of the girls working were very short and seemed like they did not want to be here. However, there were three that were kind and positive.It was $89 for a contact lens exam and glasses prescription without insurance as mine was out of network, but next time I’d rather pay a little more for better service all around.
They accommodated me right away. Need my framed changed cuz it broke. And they gave me a cleaner spray.
So I just found out that through my insurance I should’ve gotten my glasses for free. I have dual coverage as well so I should’ve gotten a second pair for free. I paid over $300 2 weeks ago and now I’ve been on hold forever because the website is saying my order doesn’t exist. I feel scammed.
I am very disappointed and violation of health and safety, who do I report to? They obviously got my prescription wrong, I was never given a trial. I had an appointment on 10/23/20 I got my contacts 11/17/20 I tried wearing them for about 2 weeks after calling 3 times I was informed I would need another appointment and eye exam. I went in and the prescription was totally different. Their mistake... I was told they would not refund and give me the new set of contacts till I returned the ones that they got wrong or I have to pay full price again. Hmm....never asked if I or anyone in my household has or had COVID...but they wont honor their mistake and give me the correct contacts unless I pay again, Or bring the wrong ones back that I obviously opened. I live 90 mile out WOW. I am looking for a number to call and report this does anyone know where or who I should contact? I am having the same issue with my sons prescription. I went ahead and paid for glasses for my son and I because we can not see through our contacts, Because they say they can only exchange contacts for contacts lol! Again their mistake and rather than make it right give me the correct contacts because you messed up. No they want me to drive 180 round trip again..4th trip to do exchange for exchange. Well we shall see what will happen when I show up sometime this week with them.

I came here because they advertised the free exam with the purchase of 2 pairs of glasses. After spending 3hrs there my bill ended up being $400. I wanted to get 2 pairs of glasses, one was $59.00 the other $150.00. I also had my daughter there because she wanted contacts and I still hadnt found out how much hers was going to be. Granted the cost was without insurance but I certainly didnt think I would be spending so much. When I told them it was way too much and told her i would just pay for the exam she told me she would take half off each of our purchases. But that was only after I expressed my shock about the price and was going to walk out the door without buying glasses or contacts. It ended up costing me $400 for 2 exams and both my glasses($59) and her contacts. Two weeks later I hadnt heard anything so I called and the computer said my daughters was ready but not mine. I went to pick up my daughters contacts and I asked about my glasses and at first she gave me the wrong glasses and then rummaged around and oh yeah they are here. And then they didnt even help my daughter with her contacts to make sure they were going to work. And they didnt give her any solution or a contact case. I was ready to just leave. I will never go back.
Absolute garbage for service the glasses side there have no idea what theyre doing waited over a week for glasses showed up and they had no idea took 15 minutes to find out and then had nothing to say about it will never return to any stanton optical location
They had my date of birth, address and phone number on my order but had someone else name so it took forever to find my glasses suppose to be same day service but I didn’t get them until 2 days later. They couldn’t explain how this happened.

Ordered 2 pairs of glasses and one of the pairs i took in my own frame to have prescription lenses installed and had told them if i could have them transition lenses left the glasses and waited like a month i went to pick them up and only one pair was “ready” and they did not install the correct lenses so i left them again and they said they would be ready in 2 weeks and i asked them if they would mail them to me with the other glasses that were pending since i was leaving from the area and the manager said yes... waited like 5 months for them to finally mail them to me in the mean time i was calling and calling and they kept giving me different stories and finally they arrived only one pair though the one frame that i had taken in and they did change the lenses but they dont even get dark in the sun and they did sent me the glasses alone with out my ray ban case for glasses... so i just gave up and didint even bother on calling them back since they take so long to answer.. been waiting for the other pair of glasses in the mail back since march I believe was when they said they were going to mail them and they still haven’t not arrived... and they did not want to refund me since it had been a few months already the manager said...i explained to him that yes it had been a few months but because they were taking so long with the order.. called today was answered by Hamilton I believe his name was and he kept telling me i was talking to him to loud and fast when i was talking to him just normal told him maybe it was his line or something.. he asked for my info and i gave it to him and he put me on hold or something and never got back on the line to give me an update on order.. this place has been nothing but a headache...
If i can get them to fix my current prescription i will never go back into a stanton again. i am out big bucks for nothing at this point. they never looked at my old script and didnt listen to a word i said.
This place was great as far as getting my kids and I glasses but horrible when it came down to having our contacts mailed to my house since I live in new mexico. I gave them ample time to correct this issue and everytime I called they assured me that I would be getting my contacts which Ive paid for and have never received and let me also mention that Ive called several times recently with no answer so now my daughter and I are out of contacts and most likely wont receive a refund and this is the reason I gave them 1 star.

I had to wait 2 hours for my eye exam. I had an appointment but I still had to wait that long. Also, there is no actual doctor present, when you go to the exam room a doctor is on the TV with you during the exam and they are from another country. The people who work there need to have better costumer service too! After spending so much time there, I told one of the girls I had to leave and she said she would need to ask manager what to do because I hadn’t gotten frames yet. I feel that if I need to leave, I need to leave! Regardless, she asked and they put me with the next available person. They tried to charge me extra for my frames but I had a $0 copay and after proving that, they gave me my money back. Don’t go there guys! I’m not a review person but that whole experience made me mad! And reviews is why I chose this place in the first place. Never again! There was one girl who was nice and that was the receptionist.

Even during this COVID-19 Pandemic I had a quick and easy experience. I made an appointment for an eye exam only and was done without waiting in about 50 minutes all together. My insurance was accepted and I will become going back to purchase glasses this weekend when I have more time to do so.

Went 2 and half months ago bought 2 pairs of glasses and some contacts over $600 worth. Waited 3 weeks for glasses which was understandable during this covid crisis. But was told contacts were taking longer. I kept calling and checking on my order weekly and was told they will contact me today finally had enough which is 2 and half months later was told my contacts were not in store they could not find them they had to reorder them!!! Straight ridiculous then the lady kept disappearing on me so I asked another for help and she found the. First lady was rude n unhelpful I will not go to this place again nor reccomend anyone else

Worst place to get glasses they got my glasses wrong twice and did not want to give me my money back for my husband’s glasses. I received glasses and contacts and there was nothing wrong with them. They do not care about customer service and are just there to take people’s money. They do not deserve the star I gave them when I call you talk to someone in another state why can’t they just understand that I’m not satisfied and want my money back. He did not like taking his test there don’t want to go back again. I heard a lot of bad things about this place should of listened Eye Mart is way better and good customer service. I see “ the owner” commenting on all the good reviews and not handling the bad experiences that some have had. We weren’t mad it’s not anyone’s fault we said we just wanted our money back we were nice to everyone but when they refused to satisfy their customers, this is the first time we are not satisfied with our glasses, I have bought glasses here before for me and my son. Now they lost me and my son as customers we will no longer be going here I have never had problems here my glasses have always been right. We have been buying glasses since grade school and we would not complain if we were not completely sure. This is a disgrace I can’t believe you don’t care about your customers. You will not probably see this review since you only like at your good reviews instead of trying to keep the customers that have been with you and gone wrong. I spent $1,000 on glasses for me and my husband and you just stole our hard earned money. Do not believe the customer is always right because theses people are greedy and steal money from hard working families that have to spend money on glasses. Go ahead and focus on your good reviews and don’t fix the relationship with your other customers. It’s sad we are all human and deserve to spend money on things that will last now my husband wasted $600 on glasses he is not going to wear.
Worst experience ever! Fist and foremost, I was given the wrong eye exam on my first visit and nonetheless charged for it. I asked for my cheapest option (glass or contacts eye exam) They informed me it would be the same price and at the end of my visit informed me that I would be paying 70$ instead of 10$ because I opted for contacts exam. I was ready to walk away right that moment, but I was already gonna be billed so might as well, right! Well no, wrong! This is my 3rd time here and they still cant get my prescription right. I told them right after my first eye exam that my new prescription was way off from what Ive been wearing for the past 10+ years. They assured me Id be fine, and three visits later Im still waiting for an order to come in. Every visit takes 1.5-2hrs of my time. I wouldnt mind if it was worth it, but theyre just so helpless. Im so ready for my contacts to come in so I never have to come here again. Dont even waste your time! Theres a high pricetag to your visit and they dont care to help you whatsoever.Follow up* THEY REPLIED TO MY REVIEW AND ASKED ME TO FOLLOW UP VIA EMAIL. WELL ALL I ASKED FOR WAS FOR A SUPERVISOR TO CALL ME. THEY NEVER DID! AND THEN I GET AN EMAIL THAT MY CASE HAS BEEN CLOSED. DONT COME HERE EVEN IF THEY PAY YOU! TRUST ME, ITS THE WORSE PLACE EVER!
The manager Faby was polite and very helpful! Came in at 11 they were busy but they still managed to help me pick out my glasses I was out by 1 which is not to bad considering how busy they were. Overall a great experience and a friendly staff
Worst pair of glasses Ive ever owned. Do yourself a favor and splurge for namebrand frames. I had to go back to my old glasses with my old prescription because these glasses dont fit and basically started falling apart after a few months.
