It was really nice and too the point there were no problems. Would recommend. The staff were a nice. :D
We have been coming here for a little over 2 years. Myself, husband, and 3 of my children. Ive seen others complain about not being able to bring children, however when a family member has an apt, all the kiddos are with me. The only experience we have with children is that no one is to go back to see the Dr other than the patient. Which being a mom isnt my favorite, however i understand and Ive come to terms with it as the Dr here just always seems to get it right. Highly recommended!Tips: im not sure how a wheelchair would work in the office, im sure it could be done but not comfortably, as the waiting area is more of a hallway. Maybe just call ahead if need be
The front staff is rude and unpleasant to work with. I requested a fax for my daughters prescription hours before I went to the the store for her prescription . They contine to say they are to busy to get to it. it takes 2 minutes to do what I asked them to do. I asked to wait multiple times they continued to place me on hold or hang up on me. When I asked for the supervisor is when they hung up on me. This situation could have went a completely different way
So, the ladies at the front have always been friendly, knowledgeable and good:)The Dr himself is straight forward and jokes, however, you may think hes arrogant if your dont get his sarcasm. I even recommended him to a few people here recently. For the most part, I think he has gotten my prescriptions correct, but after reading some other reviews, I am now wondering as I have had some similar issues, such as the new contact brands feeling dry, push on bifocals, and just not seeing right. As for the receptionist, I dont think so!!!. It could be because that is how she was informed to do her job, or she just is not a good receptionist. Im not sure which...maybe a mix of both. So, my most recent experience was a complete waste of time. I had scheduled my sont appt at least a month in advance. It was for 8:45 on a Saturday. He shows up early (hes old enough to go alone). When she (receptionit) arrives she tells him they dont open until 9 (so why schedule for 845???), and doesnt let him wait inside or say shell open up in about 15 minutes ect... She also tells him his appointment is at 945. So, thinking he/we had made an error with the time, he decides to kill the waiting time and goes to get some breakfast. Then, when he shows back up for the 9:45 appt, and she tells him his appt was at 8:45 AND he has to reschedule for NEXT MONTH. What??? None of that even makes sense!!! So that was a WASTE OF VALUABLE TIME on a Saturday morning. Then, again reading some of the comments about the kid issue made me think of another experience I had a few years ago.I had scheduled this appt a month in advance also. I show up with a 3 week old in a carrier. Hes not making a peep. She calls my name and as I get up and grab the carrier and proceed to walk toward her, she informs me that I can not be seen unless I have someone to watch the baby. Of course, I didnt. He probably would have slept through the entire procedure anyway. They do have a sign that says something like, Please control your children so they do not break very expensive equipment, or something like that. I really doubt my 3 week old could do much harm. Also, since they do have that rule for the office, it would have been nice to be informed about it when I scheduled the appt. It would have saved my time that day, as well. So, more wasted time and energy. Needless to say, I did reschedule, because I had been going to Lasa for so long and thought he was a great Dr.Time is very important to most people. One thing you cant get back. That is why I thought it was important and I would take the time out of my day to help other citizens who are looking for or considering an optometrist, to have a review to make an informed decision and not waste their time.
Best optometrist experience Ive ever had. Dr Lasso was straight and to the point and the consultant who helped me pick out the best frames for me did so with such ease. I never like myself in glasses but she helped me find a pair that I actually love and feel confident in. And they were ready in a week. Highly recommend this place.
The staff in the eye wear department is very helpful and pleasant, we went to a different place in odessa and were informed it would be 2 weeks before we would receive our frames and decided to go here. The ladies took our insurance and made the best deal they could for us and were very helpfulI havent dealt with the doctor here so I cant say one way or another. Also for the people that say theyre not children friendly thats a crock because my kids and other kids have always been there when I am. A lot better experience than dealing with the rude staff at total vision center at the mall.
The office assistant up front is really nice and professional. Dr Lassa himself is a little quirky but very personable. If youre overly sensitive and/or cant take a guy joking with you then he may not be for you.If you have children, make other arrangements for them. Dont blame this office for not wanting to deal with your children making a scene. Neither the staff, nor other customers should have to deal with that.Ive never had a single issue with my glasses or contacts, or getting them in a timely manner. Th
Dr. Lassa is rude, pushy, and incompetent. Thats the main reason I stopped going to his practice. Also, he doesnt take most types of eye insurance. I recommend Dr. Munoz at Odessa Eye Clinic. I told Lassa for 4+ years I thought I needed a more powerful prescription. He treated me like an idiot for suggesting he might have gotten my prescription wrong. The first thing Munoz did was increase my prescription by one lens power in each eye. Also, Lassas office books appointments 2-3 weeks after a patient calls. Odessa Eye Clinic usually gets me in next day. I used to wait 3-4 weeks for contacts from Lassa. At Odessa Eye Clinic, its usually 5-7 days. Also, Lassa refused to prescribe me *normal* contacts instead of the new silicone contacts that people are sensitive to. He told me I was going to have to get used to my contacts feeling like they were knives sticking in my eyes and eyelids. When I asked Dr. Munoz if I could get regular Acuvues, he nodded and admitted a large percentage of his patients cant wear the new silicone contacts. Getting Acuvues is no problem at Odessa Eye Clinic. Also, Lassa always told me my eyes have dryness problems because I am stupid and live in a dry climate. But, I later found out that changing to a different contact solution and avoiding air blowing into my eyes completely solved the problem. Like I said-- Lassa is a quack.
Pending...I got my new glasses/bifocals today. The right lense prescription is not correct and unable to focus and read so they will not do as work glasses(lot of paper and computer work). I will go back tomorrow and talk to them. I would have preferred single lense, feel as though bifocals were encouraged a little too much. Today is 7-24-18, the next day. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS BUSINESS! Had to go back today because I cannot CANNOT see with these glasses! I told the receptionist I could not see out of these glasses and I wanted some different lenses. Ill take a note and we will get back with you. When? Today? Tomorrow? She did not know. I just paid a lot of money to this place what are you going to do? I want glasses I can read and work with(I do a lot of paper work, computer etc.) or my money back. Ill take a note and get back with you I asked again When? She said you will just have to wear them and get used to them. I said I dont want to because something is wrong about the prescription. No its not was her answer. How could she know for sure? No reassurance of restitution AT ALL!
Ive been coming here since I was a child and wont ever go anywhere else! I love a doctor that is straight up and doesnt sugar coat anything! If u r too sensitive u may not want to come here 😁✌🙋
The doctor is rude. Doesn’t allow parents to go back with underage children.. Very limited glasses. I love the two older ladies that help in the back but the younger Hispanic one was rude. Won’t be going back. Don’t recommend this place to anyone.
To say the place has terrible customer service is an understatement. Went to pick up a pair of safety glasses during normal business hours and the door was closed but there was an older lady sitting at the desk inside. I knocked thinking it was locked by accident since it was during the day on a weekday. When the older lady saw me at the door and heard me knock she got up from the desk and went to the back. I waited a couple minutes confused so I decided to call while standing at the door the older lady picked the phone up and told me they were closed for the day then hung up. Needless to say the lady couldnt even be bothered to tell me they were closed then saw me knocking at the door and went to hide in the back.
They never answer the phone and when they finally did they were rude!
I have been to a few places in Odessa and dr. Lassa has been the best. I wont go to a Walmart optometrist again after they messed up my perception and the ones by HEB are rude. Love that hes old school!
I would give it 5 stars but that front desk lady that acts like she’s in a Mean’s girl casting even though she’s a fully grown woman is not working out she makes the clinic look bad she’s very unprofessional and inexperienced seeing that she’s been there for quite sometime I don’t know how this doctor puts up with someone like that throw her out and get a more suitable one for the job this lady is worthless.
I have visited Dr.Lassa since I was in 2nd grade, great doctor. I am more than pleased with his service.
I will never send people to them i feel we were DISCRIMINATED.. HOW SAD!!!
Closed at 12? Wasted time, never going back
I received a call from them saying Dr hurt his foot so I had to reschedule(about 2 hours before my appointment). I already had my babysitter (they dont allow children in there) and missed work. So I rescheduled. I go in there and right away they want to reschedule me because I had my daughter with me. I asked them if we can do something else I live about 10 miles away from them and no babysitter at the time the lady in the front was just mean and honestly will not go in there again!!!
The worst optometrist in the area. His staff is ok, but he is really unprofessional and goes out of his way to make you feel uncomfortable.
I was completely taken back by how awful we were treated today. While getting my eyes examined, my 2 year old and husband waited for me in their tiny waiting room... My two-year-old, being the total mommas boy that he is, caught a glimpse of me when I was directed to the contact room.. He immediately started to cry for his mommy... Like any two-year-old would do, and the lady at the front desk told my husband that he needed to take him outside.... Excuse me? Are you serious? What would they have done if I would have had to bring him by myself?!... The optometrist was very sarcastic and rude... He asked why I was in west Texas (because Im from Louisiana) and when I told him that my husband works on the pipeline, he replied.. So youre the reason for all the trafic in this town?! No... Were the reason your vehicle has fuel, and your home has natural gas... Their office looks like its about 200 years old, and the same lady that asked my 2 year old to wait outside, overcharged my card $55.. Moral of the story... Dont come here if you have children, are contributing to trafic, or if you are expecting a pleasant experience.
I wish zero stars were an option. Pushy doctor who behaves more like a salesman by trying to force you to buy contacts that will make him more money. Illegally refused to give me a copy of my contact prescription to prevent me from purchasing contacts elsewhere. Extremely unprofessional. Go anywhere else but here.
Friendliest staff ever! Will not go anywhere else ever again !
Worst customer service. I would give them a zero. Never go here.
Terrrrrible!! I received a Rx for contacts and glasses April 27th of last year because they would not fill my Rx for my contacts last year due to it being past the 6 month period. I initially received 6 months worth of contacts and glasses and I wear my glasses a big majority of the time so my 6 month supply usually lasts me 8-10 months. They stated they could not fill my Rx because they had quit making the contact I was wearing so I would need to be refitted. Which sounded like BS to me but I thought ok well Ill just pay for another exam like they want and get my new Rx. This time I have been wearing my glasses straight for over a month now and just havent had time to go get more contacts. Today I spoke with them re: getting the rest of my prescription filled. They refused and said they would not give me my Rx nor more contacts because I was going to need another exam April 28th so they suggested that I make an appt for March which my ins would not have covered because it has not been a full yr and they would not fill me Rx even though the exam is suppose to be good for a full yr. Then I proceeded to tell them that I am pregnant and would rather get my exam after I deliver so I would rather just get my contacts that are owed to me until that time. He then said that he wouldnt let me have contacts if I was pregnant anyway. He said you arent suppose to wear contacts while pregnant. I am an RN and I have never heard of that so I called another optometrists office and they said that was all BS!! Their office was just trying to make more money by making me pay for two exams in less than a yr. (oh and Im posting this on my husbands name....hes not pregnant lol)
Be prepared to give them 3 weeks in advance before you get your glasses. Two dumbs down.
Horrible service they took 3 weeks to get my daughter glasses ready!
Really awesome people
Awesome service
