Terrible & VERY long experience. This place had my car for two months, Armondo is rarely available & leaves Jazmine to fend off worried or angry customers. Women be prepared to be talked to condescendingly & treated like this place is doing you a favor. No written estimates given, only a screenshot of a computer screen. Quoted $6800 in unneeded replacement transmission even BEFORE a diagnostic was done. Work finally started & a solution ONLY found AFTER telling Armono to put my car back together, Ill have it towed to the NV State Vehicle Repair center & have them diagnosis my car. Charged my extended warranty company 10 hours of labor & me an additional $1200 + my deductible. The repairs took so long, within days of getting my car home, the engine battery completely failed & I had to have my car towed to a different mechanic (of course!!!) for an additional cost of $350: diagnostic, labor & a completely new battery. Being nice doesnt equate to competent & your technicians personal problems shouldnt have been made my problem, talking in circles & only finding solutions after being threatened with having the DMV auto repair services get involved only made the experience that much worse. Next step NV Attorney General Complaint Process - You picked the wrong One!!
Armando and his staff were very helpful and kind. They also got my transmission fixed in a timely manner and kept me updated every step of the way. I waited on review to see how the transmission ran but up until this date I have no complaints. Keep up the good work Yan and Armando and the entire staff.
Great service I give this location 5 stars !!! I have brought a few used cars not knowing whats all wrong with them but finding AAMCO TRANSMISSION was a relief So far I had my caddilac transmission rebuilt then on my second car brought used had a oil leak they fix it everything comes with warrantys on services Thanks AAMCO will recommend
I called three places about my transmission, cause mii shifter on mii car had messed up and one place told me I needed my transmission rebuild but the other two places said the same thing that it was my shifter that needed repair so I took it here because they were very honest about my car and very professional unlike the other place that lied to me about my car trying to get my money!!! They were very professional so if you have any problems with your transmission please come here they are great people!
Another outstanding job by Armando and his technician. I brought my car in with a service engine soon light on and a transmission fluid change on my 2005 BMW. They have done awesome work on all my vehicles 👍👍
The worst auto repair experience of my life. I appreciated Armindos friendliness but the service was ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE. One excuse after another. I am SO DISSATISFIED & ANGRY. Aamco had my car for two months (08/06/21 - 10/12/21) After getting a clean bill of health (diagnosis) from Meineke although I did need to have the 150,000 mile transmission service. Ive had my car back less than a week & its now dead in my driveway, its a Hybrid. Ive had to call AAA 2 times as well as GEICO 2 times. Continual, repeated complete electrical failure & my starter has to be replaced (the car was designed not to make a sound when it starts & now the ignition isnt engaging the engine) I dont think the tech knew that & now Im HAVING TO HAVE it towed to the dealership. I was never given a written estimate, I got a screenshot after 4 1/2 weeks of possible repair needs & quoted a $6800 complete transmission replacement once they knew I had an extended warranty & NO diagnosis had even been done, I was told my parts are from Mars It wasnt until I told Armondo to put the transmission back in my vehicle & I would have the state mechanics diagnosis my car. Then all of a sudden there were options: send pieces & parts of the trans to CA, then it was send to a local shop to see what could be salvaged & never a written estimate of the actual work needed. I requested to have all the old parts & pieces returned to me. Was not done. And still I had to wait an additional two+ weeks because the mechanic cut his hand. They under recorded the mileage, by 200 miles when they completed tinkering with my car, which was a huge issue initially with the warranty company, fortunately it is recorded accurately with CarFax, Meineke & the warranty company. Notice the mileage in the photos. This past Friday, I called to tell Armondo my car was dead, keeps shorting out & the starter is shot, he didnt even bother w any additional questions, he just told me to bring my car back. He already knew there were going to be issues, problems & another opportunity to get more money from the extended warranty company. - my car was an experiment project!!! - You didnt get it right after 2 months + PAYMENT IN FULL from Me ($1182 + $130 deducable) & the warranty company ($1500) WHY WOULD I EVER BRING ANYTHING BACK TO AAMCO on Lossee Rd. Armondo acts friendly, yet so condescending, like they were doing me a favor. I feel gipped, cheated & lied to. He actually bragged that they worked hard for me, (for 2 months???) DO NOT COME HERE!!! STIR CLEAR & STAY AWAY!!! Rest assured you will be hearing from the DMV for fraudulent business practices. NRS 598, NRS 598.092 3)).
They are truthful team and very professional. They also check all other things that you might want to repair. They always call you and ask for your approval to repair. you might spend more than what you expected but it might costless down the road.
My experience here was horrible. I bought my car in to have diagnostics done. I was told it would be finished by the next day and that they would call me. They never called me. I went back a wwk later and they still had not diagnosed my car. Terrible business
I brought my Toyota Scion in to get tuned up and to get the transmission looked at. turns out that the transmission just needed a lush. Everyone was real friendly and they were able to have my car back to me later that day. Ill definitely be back with my Toyota Camry and my wifes Honda Accord.
I have only had excellent service here. They go above and beyond expectations and are surprisingly professional and courteous. Armando is a rare find for me in the automotive business here and I am a local for 58 years. So glad to have discovered them!
After having a bad experience at a different AAMCO in town, my experience here was like night and day. I cannot recommend these guys enough! they are fair, honest, and they wont give up until they figure out what is going on with your vehicle. their customer service is fantastic too. both the owner (Russ) and head mechanic (Ruben) actually listen to you and give you straightforward, honest, and kind hearted answers. service this trustworthy is hard to come by in this day and age, but these guys deliver!
Overcharged for rebuilt transmission because I was an out of towner. Then my AC was not working properly after I picked up my car.
My check engine light came on last week so I decided to take my vehicle to AAMCO. I called AAMCO and spoke to the manager Armando and he made an appointment for me to bring the car in to do a diagnostic check engine light for $120 which I agreed to. The master mechanic Rueben the one that did the diagnostic took me inside the shop and show me an explain to me what he was doing with the scan tools. I was really impressed how he took the time to explain what needed to get done. The master mechanic Reuben recommended that I rebuilt the transmission. I went ahead and gave them the OK to rebuild my transmission a few days later they had my transmission removed put on the workbench and another master mechanic rebuilder name Van had my transmission all broken down to different sections the separating the gears separately the clutches I was like wow the transmission must have had over 100 pieces there at that point master mechanics Van took the time to show me what those internal parts do for my transmission and what approach he was going to take to reassemble everything back for it to be working properly and going to back up his workmanship with a two-year warranty. I must have to admit two days later when my vehicle was ready I went and took the vehicle on a test drive and I must say it felt like it was brand new the way it had regained its power it’s pep very smooth it just reminded me when I first bought the car brand new I am very happy and I want to thank everybody over there at AAMCO for the wonderful job they did and I would highly recommend it to all my family and friends.
I spoke with the manager or owner on Monday and explained my concern with my car. I spoke to Armando and he told me to bring my car in at 9:00 a.m. I told him I have to be at work at 8 a.m. he told me I can drop it off and put the keys in the drop box. I dropped my car off at 7:20 on the March 30th 2021. I arrived at 2:45 p.k. to pick my car up and it had not been touched. I was told there were to many cars before mine and they didnt get to it. I never received a phone call of this information. I left very disappointed.
They still have my wifes car that has been there over a week now and no one calls to tell you anything and when you call to ask they act like its a bother..Never again!!!
I had some issues from battery issue, alternator and ac issues if it happened to go wrong at the worst moment it did. But the guys over at aamco made me feel like my home shop mechanics took care of all issues and had a small problem and they where right there to help out even though it wasn’t the original issue appreciate all your guys hard work and getting me in quick.
Armando the shop manager is the worst person to represent this company’s morals and values. For one he is never in the shop, has his calls forwarded to his cell. He never calls you back or just forgets about you. He gives false promises. Armando also made several comments to me that truly state how he undervalues his customers. (You are a waste of my time and money, do you think I need your business- I have more business than I can handle, the one that set me off was I don’t care about you as my customer) once I was upset he tells me how about we start all over. To blatantly ignore me, have my truck over two weeks and make no progress. I paid my fee just to get my truck out of there. The only reason I even considered using AAMCO was because my grandfather spoke very highly of this company. To have some one like Armando as the front desk service manager of a business is a mistake by this franchise owner. I can’t speak for every AAMCO but this location made me never want to trust or even consider another AAMCO again. I asked for Armandos supervisor and was told that I needed to get the number through Armando. Armando is good at holding what we say to our word and suffering from amnesia on his word.
I feel sorry for those who were unhappy with the service. But in my end mr Armando is a very kind at heart person. He gave us the opportunity to work fast fixing our car iI’am a very demanding and perfectionist person and because I am the doughter of a great mechanic as well but amcvo and there team are the best. I know people might said is just a small part why he is charging to much. My friends. Car are like puzzles. There detail to find the missing pice thank you Armando from Bertha and Jose. You are the best
Excellent Work!Armando was very accommodating and friendly he has a great team. My car had a check engine light on, low power, poor acceleration, running rich, smell of gas and timing way off. Armando repaired/ replace all defective parts.I am a very satisfied customer and will be back🤗
Very pleased with my service took 3 Days to mostly replace my transmission got it back to me quick and painlessly. Will be making this my main mechanic shop.
Excellent work, super friendly and accommodating. Great team, my car had lost power and limped into the shop - Ruben did the diagnostic, Van expertly rebuilt the transmission, and Arturo installed it - the result is my 2004 car sounds and runs like the day I bought it. Armondo will even stay after-hours to accommodate out-of-town customers to pick up their vehicles. And not just transmissions, they are an all-around repair shop, Ive used them to replace my starter and front brakes, they will work with you to get what you need, and always do a great job.
These people are crooks. Called around different shops and got quoted half, HALF, what these people were trying to charge. Unbelievable, ripping people off during these tough financial times. Absolutely disgusting. Id give zero stars if I could.Oh yeah dont let them disassemble anything. Thats how they get you stuck.
AAMCO did a service on my 2007 Silverado, dropped the pan and replaced the filter and gasket, very reasonable prices, great to work with, I will be definitely bringing my other vehicles back for service. Russ was great to work with.
This was the only shop that could not give a estimate without a taredown that would cost over a thousand dollars even if no repair was performed. They also charge 120 dollars for a diagnostics test ( no one else does). Shouldnt the diagnostics tell whats wrong and how much it should cost?.Never trust a shop thats trying to put you in a catch 22,I would never trust these people.
UPDATE 9/30/2020. Just got an oil change and my transmission is LEAKING. Shop had no clue I had transmission parts replaced and they said whoever did it left a leak. Left it on the rack and let me see it for myself. I dont want to have to take it back but for $5k, there should not be a leak! There is no defending this. Absolutely terrible. Anything I have done at AAMCO will have to be checked by a second shop because the trust is completely gone.Original review: $4500 for a rebuilt transmission on a 2005 Nissan Frontier. Transmission fluid was good (I have pictures of it). Shifted and drove FINE only issue was it lagged when getting into reverse. They 100% take advantage of their customers by twisting the truth and pressuring you into making a decision. I was told it only needed minor repairs and its $600 non-refundable to take it apart, which will later be applied to the repairs. Then they hit me with an enormous estimate, but youre stuck because of that $600. They overcharge by A LOT. Google AAMCO transcript and that is almost exactly what I was told: words from a script. Take your car elsewhere.*Edit to reply to AAMCOs response*Only thing that was bad on my truck was the reverse clutch. The fluid was clear and red. Fluid wasnt contaminated and I have pictures. They said they gave me a NEW valve body but the sheet says reconditioned. I even called Armando and he fully admitted he made a mistake on the paperwork. So either they lied and the part is used, or they made a mistake on my paperwork. Either way, $4500 is completely out of line for 3 used parts (torque converter, TCM, reverse clutch) and what they consider a minor repair shouldnt cost that much. Almost every other shop charges half of what they charge WITH a warranty.
Armando hassled me about having my car while waiting for carsheild to give an answer but then tried to add additional work to be done that I didnt ask for. He talked to me crazy until I threatened to involve him in my suit against carsheild. He also lied about giving me a discount.
Feared that transmission would have to be replaced but they were able to repair it at a reasonable price.
I came to this Aamco shop and I cant complain at all. Armando and his staff did an excellent job on my truck. I really appreciate them helping me every step of the way. They resolved my issue and Im very happy and satisfied with the results. I must thank them all for their honesty and hard work. Good job guys!!! If you need a honest and reliable mechanic, look no further this shop is the way to. 🙌🙌
My family came here on vacation in our brand new Volvo. Unfortunately, our check engine light came on, which was weird since it was a brand new car, and we started having issues turning the car on. We called AAMCO and Armando told us to bring it in and he would take care of it. Apparently, it was just a simple computer issue that just needed to be reset. They had great service and didnt try to overcharge me. I recommend them if you need your car fixed.
No better mechanics in all of Las Vegas! Will not take my 2002 Jeep Wrangler anywhere but here because I will keep this Jeep forever! They do a great job! Armando, the office manager, is GREAT! He keeps me informed about price, the work that should be done, and the completion time. Very friendly, personable and professional. The mechanics are very professional and knowledgeable but they sure know what they are doing! This is the BEST place for auto mechanics in all of Las Vegas - and in all of Nevada!!!.
After conversing with Armando regarding my daughter and her 2003 Taurus. It was clear that he was double talking over talking and utilizing mechanical terminology)I.e numbing jumbo at all times attempting to convince.Armando took advantage of my tween vulnerable; naive daughter. Armando took $120 deposit, misleading daughter that it was to repaired her car.Armando quoted her a price of $595 ( requiring) calling for balance a week later( car untouched) After extensively questioning homie found that the $ 595 would just be for an inspection ( pay b4 disassembling) and outright asked him so; you’re basically stating that “If 17 year old car is REPAIRABLE it will cost thousands to repair. He ADAMANTLY stayed yes and attempted to justify and convince me. Armando intentionally misled and deceived my daughter regarding the services she’d be provide, the reasonableness of repairing 17 year old car and the Anticipated costs she’d incurr THIS type of business practice is illegal. Besides $120 now he wants $75 to tow it back...He’s earning money for doing Absolutely NO work, preying on the vulnerable.. I will be seeking legal Recourses; as I did email Russ Dains ( owner) prior to posting in an attempt at resolution. to no avail. Armando keeps calling for payment
I was told it would take a couple of hours to determine the code for the service engine light. I informed them the code was PO 738, the cost of the evaluation was $120.00. It took until the next day to be informed it was going to be another $300.00, to do an electrical tracing of the issue. I was finally told that it was the original code I provided to them. I was forced to pay over $300.00 dollars in hotel charges since I was on the road. When the repairs were finally done, the total cost was over $750.00. I will never recommend this place of business and will tell everyone I come on contact with to stay away.
This place is a rip off after limping my truck to them they told me I had to find my own transportation they werent willing to call me a cab or anyting and then it cost me $120 for them to drive it little over 50 miles and give it back to me tell me theres nothing wrong with it and I broke down again 10 miles down the road that place is a rip-off dont waste your money going there take it to someone else more reputable I found one over off of Valley View Boulevard it is an Aamco Transmission family owned and operated and they took great care of me
Im very disappointed with amco I told them my issue with my Transmission and what I would like to have done. I was told to come for a diagnosis which cost me a $120 and it would take 3hrs. I paid and came back to find my car park in the back of the building. No diagnosis done until I complained. Customers service was bad. I left. Went to another amco and was told my $120 diagnosis would not apply there for the work I wanted done. Im out of $120 bucks and madd!!
The service was good, so was the work with reasonable prices. Shop was clean and organized. Thank you!
I love their work. I brought my Toyota in because its transmission was just in a really bad condition.... I talk to Armando and he gave me a nice price... I got my car and it has been working really great.... Definitely recommending
My experience with this place was very bad, thats a rip off place this place take advantag on people who trust the brand when you ask how many hours you charge the answer is. The charge is not by the hours of leabor. The just over charge you extremely, STAY AWAY FROM THIS SHOP.
Well let me just say this place is awesome. My car actually runs better than before my problems started. I told Kelly that i could only spend a certain amount and they worked within my budget, I really think that was awesome. I highly recommend this place, because an honest repair shop is very hard to find and the work was great (Larry is the mechanic). Will always have my car worked on here.
On 9/6 or 9/7, I drove by AAMCO on Losee Rd. to check out a clicking noise and was told it came from the transfer case (I had another shop checking on the clicking noise and they told me it was the transmission and they were asking between $ 2,000 and $ 2,500 to rebuilt the transmission. Since the truck, besides the clicking noise, was running fine, I went to AAMCO for a second opinion). When they told me that it was the transfer case, probably the chain or a bushing, I was kind of relieved because I thought it should be a lot cheaper than rebuilding the transmission. I asked if it was OK to drop off the truck on Monday, 9/10 and was told that would be fine. When I dropped off the truck I paid $ 495.00 to check it out and had to sign a paper that I had to pay another $ 495.00 if I wanted the transfer case reinstalled without fixing it. After a couple of days I was told that the transfer case needed to be rebuilt but they could not give me a price yet. After a few more days I was told that it would cost at least around $ 3,000 + tax but that they did not have the parts yet to get it fixed. $ 3,000, really? Today is 9/18, still no parts and my truck is still on the lift. Never again.
We purchased a vehicle with many issues and was extremely anxious about our repairs. We went to another mechanic prior to AAMCO for a diagnostic and was told that we needed many unnecessary repairs .Armando was very knowledgeable and upfront with us which helped to ease our anxiety .So glad we came to AAMCO because they were able to find out the REAL issues with our vehicle and saved us tons of money .Would highly recommend.
My entire experience was well worth the drive!! I live across town and was in major need of help TODAY!! Nobody could get the parts, let alone see my car... except for Aamco. Kelly was amazing up front. Very welcoming and didnt talk to me like Im a dumb chick (far from it, and its a pet peeve of mine). And Russ was quick to make sure what I needed was taken care of right away, and affordable. Highly recommended!
Friendly and they got the job done right. Would definitely recommend. We recently took my daughters car here and they fixed the problem as well as stood by there work. When her check engine light came on again they were all over figuring out why. They are so nice, helpful, and excellent at what they do. I will go back for anything I need in the future. Also their prices are way better than other estimates we received.
Can we say rip off! They wanted to charge my husband $800.00 for a fuel pump (installation and part) Come on...we went to pick up the car because it seemed outrageous and then to find out the car was towed to another shop?! What?! If I could rate -1 I would.
I cant stress to people enough, BE CAREFUL With this company, Im a technician but unfortunately I dont do transmission work Im certified in engine repair. Dont fall for their we gotta look at it bs, they will disassemble your transmission and leave you screwed, they screw people all day, stay far away.
Scary transmission signals from my car - sounded out of gear, dragging, rpms going wild. Took it in to these guys. They tested it on the road AND with the computer. Luckily, they found nothing wrong. They could have EASILY taken advantage of a single, older woman. They didnt. Would take my vehicle back there any time. Thanks, guys (& Armando)!
My name is Mario de la Mora and I’ll share that recently I went to AAMCO to check on my car when I got there everyone was very polite professional, neat, clean and responsable. I was amaze by the service I was provided at AAMCO. I strongly believe that if you really care for your vehicle you must to take your car to a reliable place like this there are honest pinpoint accurate on status of your vehicle and their repairs fast and well done. MD.
Had to get the transmission on my F-150 rebuilt. Russ the owner was very helpful and straightforward with us. He gave us our options and guided us to a decision we felt comfortable with. It has been only a few days but the truck is running great.
I used to go from shop to shop trying to find the right place, that cost me thousands of dollars, used to call around to get an estimate on what I thought could be wrong with my car and of course I was always wrong, until I came to Aamco!! After Armando explained how complex cars are now days I took my car in for a full diagnostic, once they found the problem call me with the estimate, they repaired the car!!! my car runs like brand new!! Thank you Armando and thank you Aamco!! Finally a place I can trust.
Their work was excellent. Manager and workers are superior in their job. Ive been coming here for years now. Definitely going to recommend again
I would like to thank the manager Armondo and all the guys at AAMCO transmissions for excellent diagnostics, mechanical work and affordable prices. It was a great experience. A. Vining
They were great with our car. Fixed the problem and my awful credit still was approved. It was a lifesaver
I had a wonderful experience and was greeted and treated with the upmost respect. Armando you are great at what you do. Keep up the good work. Thanks Glen
My check engine was on, went to Auto Zone and they pulled code P1740 and they recommended to go to AAMCO. Took it to Steve at the Losee location. They repaired the transmission and surprisingly enough all prices quoted were exactly as quoted by Steve including sales tax... (no extras). My Navigator shifts better than new.
Sorry this is long but i have to share my experience. I love this place & they have made me a customer for life! I cant thank Armando & his team enough for really saving Me, Stress & Money. So let me tell you about my life so u understand why i thank god for sending me to this shop. Im currently living in my car because my ex waited til the day i moved out of my apt (April 15th) to tell me he wasnt taking our sons dogs who are now 11 yr old dogs, yet i asked him in Jan. Otherwise i couldve found a roommate. I also lost my bf of 14 yrs on june 30th,2018. My bf was also my caretaker because I have SLE Lupus, Fibromyalgia & many other health problems. I tk 9 meds daily, so stress really affects me mentally & physically, it can also send me into a very painful flare for weeks! So on top of all that my engine light came on & slowly my car wasnt shifting, it got worse and worse. I tk it to where i usually go but they couldnt & wouldnt guarantee the work and said they couldnt pin point it so theyd have to go 1 problem at a time, which i couldnt afford nor would be worth the money on an older car. So then i called the dealership because that sounded crazy to me & i wanted to get an estimate on replacing my entire transmission if it came to that but they gave me an estimate of $4300! My car is a 2006, not worth spending that much. So i looked up the nearest transmission shop to get estimates but i got another high estimate & was literally about to give up on everything literally. I then became panicked as i thought about me & the dogs really being homeless-literally on the streets if i couldnt get my car fixed. I lost all hope at that moment, So i prayed & asked god to please help me. I then called Aamco on Losee to get an estimate & spoke to Armando, who had the most kindest, calm voice ever. He said if i make an appt theyd look at it for free. THANK YOU GOD & ARMANDO! I made the appt for the next day. Feeling embarrassed.. i now had to tell him i live in my car so Ill have two dogs with me- he couldve said no dogs allowed but he had no problem with it. Armandos estimate was around $800 which was still alot for me but alot better than a shot in the dark or $4300! So i said ok but since he knew i was living in my car he arrainged a day for me to bring my car in to get it back that same day. He also only asked me to leave $200 instead of the $400 deposit it shouldve been to get all the parts hed need to fix it. So after going through all this stress trying to find somewhere to get my car fixed, it only took 6 hrs! The best part is that it didnt cost $800, it was only $649!!!! He said I can use the money i saved towards finding a place to live. I swear he was an Angel from god. I cannot thank him & the Aamco team for taking care of me in my time of need. I will never forget this & wish them many many years of business and success.Thank you again Armando & Aamco!
They found the problem and fixed it right. Very helpful.
They did a good job flushing my transmission.
Where should I start?? My 04 started switching gears differently so I brought I here to be looked at and was helped by ArmodoWhos very helpful in showing you whats wrong and how to go about fixing your car to get you back on the road. Unfortunately my transmission was done and I needed a new one or a used one lol, Armondo gave me the options of a rebuilt or brand new transmission, I chose to have a rebuilt one with a warranty, all of the mechanics here great at what the do.Now my car runs like a champ and Im so glad I brought it here to AAMCO on Losee. I will always come here for all my care care needs and definitely tell everyone I know that has car problems to bring it to AAMCO they are the best
All good service, very helpful, office people were amazing, 100% RECOMMENDED!! Got all the help I need with my car and now its all good thanks to AAMCO.
After getting scamed out of $900 bucks for a minor rebuild i took my car to aamco on loose rd i spoke with a man named Armando. I told him my situation and he even helped me get information on how to report the shop. He gave me a diagnostic and told me how much it would be and the different levels of coverage.. while dealing with moving back to San Francisco he was very patient dealing with me. He was literally an angel looking out for me. After having my car back they rebuilt my transmission back to new he even helped clear a code on my engine and fixed my vaccum leak. If you want quality work done from a team who really cares look no farther. My car drove back to San Francisco so smooth. The best team in las vegas. Thank you Armondo and aamco. Ps sorry it took a while to write this review wanted to make sure she was driving like a dream after the last situation!!
I brought my honda in and their work was greatI am glad that I came here and got my transmission doneA+ for them for their amazing job
Cant say enough great things about the quality of the guys here. My van started losing power 45 mikes outside of Vegas while on a road trip to Cali. I limped in 20 minutes before closing totally bummed and planning on having to sleep in my van for the night in there parking lot. Larry dropped the end of day projects that could wait and read the codes and looked bad. They pulled me into the bay, dug around and sure enough found a leak in the supercharger hose.Quick thinking on there part to get me back on the road, quick temp fix and I am now on the road sitting by the beach. If I hadnt have found those 3 guys, Id be stuck in Vegas waiting on an expensive part (the normal fix for the code). Thank you guys, litterly saved my trip.
I got the help that was needed!! I have gone to the shop again and my car got fixed thanks to them!!👌
These guys did a fantastic job rebuilding my 2005 Pathfinders transmission!--as soon as they finished, I drove the car to Philadelphia and then down to Atlanta, 4,000 miles. Not a single problem, car performed like brand new (and had 170K miles), transmission shifted perfectly when going up/down steep mountains, and it delivered outstanding performance (i.e. acceleration, power, speed, etc.). Even got better gas mileage than before. These guys clearly know their business. Equally worth mentioning is they are totally customer-focussed. Armando, who handles the front desk is FANTASTIC, and the mechanics go the extra mile--e.g. I was driving cross country from Calif. when the transmission blew, and they worked at breakneck speed, as well as very late Friday night (e.g. Lalo), to get me back on the road ASAP. I recommend them highly.
Wish i had seen reviews before taking my truck here. brought my truck in had the transmission rebuilt and found out later that due to whoever rebuilt my transmission over torqued the pan bolts and ruined my transmission. since i was 2 months out of warranty figured i shouldnt go back there since they destroyed it to begin with. now i have to replace the whole thing. dude was shady to begin with and i should have trusted my gut. also what kind of transmission shop sends transmissions out to be rebuilt and not done in house? great job ruining the aamco name.
The mechanics are awesome. Paid good money but money well spent on a 22 year old car.
We are not accusing anybody, we have no clear evidence, but...Update to my husbands (Michal Strnad) post: also my external HDD is missing - with my 4- year research data!Called with the manager and agreed on the police investigation.
I had Aamco in Las Vegas rebuild my allison transmission summer 2017. Normally I call around to find ball park prices so I don’t get ripped off. Since then I found out Aamco charged me 1000.00 to $2000.00 more than dealer prices. Never again will I take my truck to Aamco. Even their warranty stunk. Only 12 months 12,000 miles
Unfortunately, I have to warn other people before going there. Eventhough they seem nice and friendly, after there job was done I found out that the luggage we had in our trunk was looked through !!! (and Armando sweared they wont even open the trunk). I am missing a gopro charger and battery (probably it was worthy for them) and all other things in the luggage were reorganized, my second wallet was open and my wifes laptop was out of the luggage just thrown in the trunk. We found it out when we were out of Vegas and were not going back anymore, so I cant do anything about it. Just wanted to warn other people... dont leave anything in the car, it can disappear!
My 2008 VW Rabbits trans started failing 1 month after the expiration date of a recalled trans part and the VW dealer wanted to jail rape me on the price to fix it . I took it to these guys at Aamco on Lossee and they replaced the part and gave me an excellent warranty and I am a happy customer for life . Thanks guys .
This business does exist here and yes they do an outstanding job. My truck broke down on the way to vegas and they took care of the transmission for me. Very curious and professional people, the boss runs his shop like a well oiled machine.
I bring my Lexus here for tranmission repair . They keep it for 3 weeks could not fix it and never refund $ 600 deposit. I had to tow it to the lexus dealer. The Manager is a sweet talker he will say anything to bring you in and Robbed you .Avoid this shop.
I had a 97 eclipse and it needed a clutch 1400 dollars later and lost time with work and no car, I had the car for a month payed insurance and it was at the shop for 2 weeks I had to go back 6 times, they said it was this, then they did that,if they would have told me they dont know what it is I rather them tell me that, the first time I drove the car out the shop 1/4 mile down the road I got stranded after paying 1400, waiting an hour for a tow truck, and a whole other day to check the car out, it was good for about a week and the clutch starting feeling spongy, then a week later the clutch started slipping so they had to put another clutch in the car 5 days, ill never go back to this shop and told hundreds of ppl about my experience and posted it on facebook. they didnt give me my money back and didnt I was very unhappy with the service. if they would have given my money back I prolly wouldnt of wrote a review
They did a great job
Took my truck in for a clutch and could not get an exact quote on what the repairs were going to cost, I kept getting different prices every time I spoke with them, got my truck back and there was parts missing, my starter doesn’t engage properly and they don’t want to make it right! DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE HERE FOR ANY REASON
I was told to make an appointment to bring my truck in and they would do a diagnostic test free of charge. They neglected to say the free diagnostic test has a condition; if you drop your auto off then, yes, I suppose its free, but if you dont know this little detail and plan on waiting, the charge will be $121.00. They didnt want my person cluttering up their office. How long can a diagnostic test take? I would not have given them a star, but couldnt post until I did.
Great service and very helpful
Great work and trustworthy!
They were nice enough to check my ac for free
Went in to have my transmission looked at they charged me over $400.00 to pull it out, called and gave me 3 prices to fix it (all 3 were well over $3000.00, top it off had to pay another $600.00 for them to put it back on the car NOT fixed, Dont come here
Horrible! Had to get 2 engines replaced took several weeks to repair my car.
Very helpful
A transmission place that wont give you a quote is a rip off.
Really nice people.
God god
