This is my opinion: I completely understand the negative reviews. I stopped patronizing this store years ago because of the bad attitudes of the owners. Everyone is talking about the most recent incident, and I am not surprised. I cannot comprehend how they are so disrespectful to the people who pay their salaries. Without black people purchasing their products, the store would fold. It is my opinion that they are afraid and now they are beginning to panic. I refuse to reward bad behavior by giving my hard earned money to people who refuse to value me.....No one needs hair that bad....Go natural, be free, shave it bald, and stop giving your money to people who only want your money but could care less about you.... People have to suffer consequences before a change can occur. Some people will only change if their income is affected. Dont reward bad behavior.

You should never put your hands on anyone. I pray that your business suffers from this incident. Please do not patronize Star Beauty.

This beauty supply store literally has everything you may need! I walked in and walked out with all of my beauty supply needs! They have the Got2b spray along with MIXED CHICKS! I didn’t get a wig this visit, but they had a very nice variety of lace front wigs! BEST BEAUTY SUPPLY IN THE CHARLESTON AREA!

Went to this location Yesterday April 14th and the service I was given was horrible . I was watched the entire time in the store but as soon as I asked for help they took forever to service me . I found a wig I liked, they did not have the color I wanted so he offered me another color . I asked to try that color on me because I was worried the color would not look nice on me but he refused and told me no . I asked if I can have the one on the display and he said yes but I was skeptical about the people who come and touch the hair try it on etc and asked if he could discount it, he said no and started a mini argument with my mother . We are not even gonna get into the process of me trying on the wig 🤦🏾‍♀️. This shop stereotypes you as soon as you walk in, unless your getting something simple and coming out I don’t recommend. Look at the other reviews as well . I seen a wonderful wig As well but it’s not worth it if I get treated like an ex con .

The owner he has a nasty attitude. I bought 3 scarves and did not like one of them and tried to get something else. He said he couldn’t take it because how I opened the package. This scarf was not on display. So I threw it back to him. He threw it out of the store as I was leaving. These type of people are nice until you have an issue. Spend your money elsewhere. DON’T SHOP HERE BECAUSE YOU WILL SEE HOW THEY ACT WHEN IT COMES TO EXCHANGING SOMETHING. You won’t get anymore of my money ever. Hateful man and I will not spend another dime in this store. BUYER BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!! Be careful because the public reads reviews before spending their money.

I always come there it’s normally a lady there she is always pleasant and nice .Today I happened to stop by I guess it was her husband or who ever they were necklaces at the counter .I asked him to take it out so I can try it on to see if it fits cause I do have a big neck he say”s no !!! so I was like if it doesn’t fit can I bring it back I mean the necklace was 25 dollars he says no also.. I mean he act like I was going to steal or something He was just plain rude I won’t be going back there again.

After their unacceptable and VIOLENT actions against a black, PAYING, female customer that shopped there they’ll never get another cent out of my pockets. Disgusting! She was assaulted and chased out of the store, with her car ran after!

Treated me terribly as soon as I walked in. They kept following me around and thinking that I stole. I decided that I didn’t feel welcome and decided to walk out only for the owner to stand in my way. I had to physically force my way out of the store by myself. It was the scariest 5 minutes of my life. Never coming back again.

Great experience with the owner. A lot of choices and very kind workers. Good clean environment and I recommend this place. They put the customers as their first priority. Love it!!

They sell terrible weave. I was persuaded to buy the best Indian Remy hair at $179 with the promise that I could cut, curl and dye it. By day 2, the weave was matted and tangled. Not even a flat iron could bring the weave back. Be very careful when buying weave there, they will sell you anything for a sale.

They have outstanding sales on quality hair and they are always friendly. I have always had a great experience when getting my hair from them

Just left this location totally pissed. So I came In there to by hair. Long story short the hair I wanted was not up on display. I then opened the hair that I was going to purchase to see what the curl pattern looked like, and closed the packaging back up. At this time the older gentlemen approaches me, who keep in mind has been in eye sight the entire time Ive been walking in circles trying to decide what in the world to go with. He then tells me mam do not open bc IF you damage we can not sell hair. So I exp I that I needed to see what the curl pattern looked like before I bought it, and how would I be able see. He then points to the picture on the pack, and I told him the pictures were doing the hair no justice. I asked well since you dont want them opened are they demoed somewhere and maybe I over looked it. He then said no, I replied OK, well how I am I supposed to determine what the curl looks like, he points at the picture again.I then told him, Well sir if this was a reliable way to pick the hair then why are there so many other demos up throughout the store. Ill answer, bc as a patrons you sometimes need to feel the hair and see what the exact hair looks. Pictures are not always sufficent. Furthermore, as the owner it seems Customer Care not Correction would be the 1st priority. Given the fact that walked around for at least 10 mins with no ask of help or assistance from you or even a hello. But the 1st thing you have the audacity to tell me is not to open the hair bc you wont be able to make money off it If I were to damage it.Im a frequent patron of this location and the original locations, but after today leaving out there in tears of anger I will never spend a dime again.

Great Customer Service, and the hair prices are very affordable, very clean, allot of accessories, allot of great make up and hair care choices, very professional,beautiful clutches may I add 😍😍 I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!
