THERE SEEMS TO BE A PATTERN AT THIS PLACE. READ THE NEGATIVE REVIEWS, THEY ALL SAY THE SAME THING!!! I took my car in June 25th because the AC was not working. They did a diagnostic test and stated the car needed a AC control panel $435.95 with parts and labor the total bill was $732.28. Paid and took my car. Less then the two months later the AC stop working. Took my car back to the shop. Paulette who was friendly the first visit had aimmediate change in tone and attitude this time. The next day they called and informed me there was something new wrong. There was a hose that needed to be replaced costing $250 with parts and labor. I questioned the idea that after spending $732 to fix my AC why I would have to pay an additional $250 dollars. Paulette gave the phone to owner. He did nothing constructive to solve the issue. He was confrontational, defensive and told me I did not know how to have a conversation because I kept interrupting him. I tried to make the point that if you diagnosed a $732 dollar problem and that it didnt fix the issue why should I pay more for a new problem that you now think is the issue. He talked to me as if I was a child, stating other parts on cars break also. So what makes him think I can trust him to get it right this time. He informed me if I didnt get the work done that there would be a $50 diagnostic charge. Unbelievable! I had to pay the fee to get back my car. If you read the other negative reviews they state almost the same things. Some of the other reviews say the owner was disrespectful to them as well. NOT A SURPRISE!! I like using small business owned places, but this time it back fired. DONT USE THIS PLACE!!! ONE WAY OR ANOTHER IT WILL COST YOU MONEY. How many more times and money would it take to get my AC fixed. ZERO STARS!!!

DO NOT trust these guys. Gave me the wrong diagnosis, charged me $800 for the so-called solution. My problems still persisted, and when I called to see what we could work out, the lead technician told me it’s my fault because I didn’t write down my problem on the form I filled out when first entering Precise. As if I’m the technician, and need to predetermine what my problem is before paying a shop for diagnosis, which cost $100. This is another classic case of scumbag mechanics. Today I found what the issue actually is (sway bar bushings and sway bar end links) and the lead technician told me it’d cost full price and then hung up on me.

So so nice. I stopped by without an appt to get the plastic protective cover under my car removed since it was dragging on the road. The guys quickly did it and even gave me good recommendations for a repair I likely needed in the future. They didnt charge me for the quick service (so I tipped as a thanks).

I called them before going there. They were quick to answer the phone and the lady who answered was really nice and were able to answer my questions. They diagnosed what was wrong with my car and got the job done really quick well thankfully the parts were readily available but I was quite satisfied. The price paid was reasonable, it is their expertise and they are a business after all so they need to make money. Anyways, will be calling them whenever my car have issues again.

They dont do vehicle inspections but they were able to guide me in the right direction and give me a quote to perform repairs needed. Barbara was super helpful and patient with all the questions I had for her. I know where to go if my vehicle needs work.

While they were not able to diagnose my exact issue since it ended up being an edge case of some sort, they went above and beyond to try and figure it out for a week straight and when they were not able to figure it out they decided not to charge me anything even though they had already installed 2 new parts, and cleaned some others. They definitely deserve business and can be trusted to try and make sure your cars issue is completely fixed before charging you.

Called Precise on a Tuesday about availability, and did not have anything available that day. I dropped off the car around noon that day to be diagnosed first thing Wednesday. Called me Wednesday around 9:10 AM with the diagnostic results. Had to replace an O2 Sensor on my vehicle. I had them make the repair, the car was ready by 2:20 PM the same day.They charged $179.95 for the part (found it on Walmart for $167, but their markup didnt bother me).Charged $99 labor (0.9 hr labor @ $110.00 hr)EPA Tax/Shop supplies @ $16.80Diagnostic service was waivedOverall satisfied with the experience, timeliness, an customer services. Found them to be professional and friendly, which is typically not the case at a local car repair shop. Strongly recommend, will come back again for vehicle repairs.

I knew of this place because it’s right in my neighborhood. I had previously gone to Jiffy Lube across the street for an oil change. When I called the for an A/C check, they stated they just do the recharge and don’t check if something else is wrong. Well, instead of even going there I chose this Precise Auto Care and was greeted and helped immediately. I had lots of questions which were all answered and the service was great. They ensured everything was done quickly and efficiently. Will be going there from now on for all of my auto service needs.

I was pretty anxious trying to find a mechanic here since I moved from San Diego & from North Carolina. I read almost all the reviews on Google & Yelp trying to find a good place, and I finally found Precise. I needed an oil change and it was recommended I also change my tire steering fluid- something my previous mechanics did not catch. They are quick, efficient, and respectful. They are clear with things that needs to be done and pricing. It is hard to find a trustworthy mechanic, and it eases my anxiety to have seemed to have found that here. Thank you.

John at Precise Auto Care has become my go-to for any car problem. He has always been honest and reliable, which to me are the most important characteristics in an auto mechanic. He is thorough, and doesnt try to sell me something I dont need. For instance, most recently we thought our car needed a new alternator. He tested the alternator, and it was fine. The battery just needed to be replaced. Highly recommend for someone who wants to trust their mechanic.

This is my first review of a company, and I just wanted to say like the many reviews that the professionalism, quality, and conversation/knowledge is spot on. I came here after reading reviews with a 2014 Lincoln MKZ that had a few issues, including the dreaded Check Engine light. I went in originally on a Saturday and was advised it was an oxygen sensor that needed to be replaced, and possibly catalytic converter. I was out the door by noon. The light ended up coming back on after I left, and I went back to investigate as I had done some of my own work on my car, and wasnt certain something was installed correctly. They ended up looking at it and conversing with me and cleared it again. I ended coming back because it came back on and was advised to take it to the dealership. I of course scheduled an appointment with a dealer two weeks out for the CEL, and a Tire Light Issue. About a week later, while starting my car, the check engine finally turned off, and confirmed no issues. I really appreciate the level of professionalism, knowledge, and transparency. I am surprised they do not have a bigger shop/lobby as the level of service is top notch.This shop saved me quite a bit of money, as I know the dealer would have charged me just to look at it and tell me stuff I already knew. I work in International Shipping and work with lots of customers on a daily basis, and I will definitely be coming back, and referring friends and family to this shop.

Had my car here and they couldnt fix it because they did not have mercedes computer parts. Understandable, however, they did not communicate any of this to me. They did scan the codes but failed to inform me of what was going on. After 3 attempts to tow the car (wrong type of truck), they still hadnt called me. Seemed like a decent shop but the failure to communicate was an issue.

They lied about having my car repaired. I called at 2:20 and I was told that my car was being fixed then I received a call at 4:40 and they stated that my car could not be fixed. My car sat at this shop for 8 hours for no reason and only to be led on. If you go here be sure to bring your own parts and talk to a mechanic and check behind them.

HIGHLY recommend!! John and his crew are fantastic. They are incredibly pleasant and knowledgeable. I had my front brake pads, rotors, and wheel bearings all replaced for a third of the price that the Toyota dealership was going to charge me. Moreover he took the time to show me the defunct parts and educate me about what was wrong.

I went to Precise because of the great reviews, and they definitely deliver. I called first and John was super friendly. I went for an oil change the same day- they went above and beyond. They checked a tire of mine that was low found a nail, and quickly repaired it as well. Everything is priced just about as good as you can get it, and they have a military discount! I will definitely be going back for anything when it comes to my car.

Staff here is SO nice and really go above and beyond. I felt very comfortable, well-informed, and treated fairly by everyone here. They were also very quick and accommodating as I walked in mid-day on what seemed to be a busy day, but they had everything ready to go within a couple hours. I also felt that pricing was very fair and transparent. And, again, I cant say enough just how nice and easy to talk with everyone was! I cant imagine taking my car anywhere else now!

Based on over 100 reviews and scoring 4.5, I was skeptical going in, but dang, THE BEST I have ever seen. True professionals. Older guys coach/teach/mentoring the younger guys. All are very respectful. All are knowledgeable and really know their craft. This is a team and it shows. Got my A/C fixed today, and was in and out a half day sooner than quoted and there were no surprises when it came time to pay the bill. Whether talking to a technician, the shop foreman, or the owner (I dealt with all three today), I was comfortable and clearly dealing with Professionals. I watched at least three others come in and get taken care of while I was there, they were getting the same vibe. Id drive an hour or more for this team to fix my vehicle. Will definitely be back and will refer many.

Not only was it the problem that the dealership told us about, but multiple other problems were discovered as well. Knowing that our funds for auto repair were limited, the owner worked with us and was able to keep it within our means. We were highly impressed the service that we received there and will continue to use them in the future.

Ive tried a dozen different shops over the years and have never found that one place. You know, the one with the perfect combination of expertise, great customer service and honesty. Well, I finally found it and its Precise Auto Care. To be honest, its not as flashy or new looking as those chain operations, but dont judge a book by its cover. Precise Auto has all the latest equipment and mechanics that run circles around the others. Theyre fast, knowledgeable, explain everything theyre doing and above all, their work is impeccable. But it gets even better. The shop is owned by a local, former military fella named David and his wife. David is fantastic. Hes patient, incredibly courteous and a master mechanic. Between him taking and making phone calls, we chatted like two old friends the entire time I waited. And then I really hit the jackpot! His mother popped by and dropped off a container of her amazing graham cracker squares. And despite his voracious love of them, he immediately offered me one. Thats it. I will look no further. This is my place and David is my mechanic. I cant recommend strongly enough that you should make him yours too.

Took my wife’s Mercedes to Midas was told it needed a new rack and pinion $2200, about cried. Took it here for a 2nd opinion and John went threw it with a fine tooth comb. Ended up being a rusted u-bolt that he soaked in oil overnight and was able to use so no part costs. Saved me A TON OF $$$. Everyone is very professional and care about your situation. Will not go anywhere else from now on. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

This is the third mechanic Ive seen about my check engine light. Instead of turning off the light and brushing me off, they actually solved the problem!! David was extremely informational and was so nice. The service was quick and affordable. I have been to Precise Auto 4 times now. I have never experienced customer service at this level. They are very knowledgeable and will take time to walk you through every detail. The advice they give you is second to none and their workmanship is impeccable! I will refuse to go anywhere else.

These guys are honest and they have fair prices. My warranty recently ran out on my Jeep and I started taking it to them and they charged me about half what the dealership did on brake pads and rotors. They even told me I didn’t really need rotors that badly but I opted to replace them anyway as my last set was turned on a lathe. They also noticed i was low on oil and found a slight oil leak. They could have lied and said I needed major work like a lot of shops would but they said it was such a slight leak I could easily just check it every couple weeks and top it off if necessary.

I took my Subaru to a dealership to have transmission work performed on it. The dealership quoted me at nearly $1500. I called Dave at Precise to find out if there was anything they could do better. Not only did they beat the price by nearly $500, but they also completed the entire job in one day. I drove my car home that evening. One of their top mechanics even stayed after hours to complete the work. Dave and his crew did everything they told me they would, smashed the price, and threw in a little extra work to make my car run better than it has in years. These guys do magnificent work in a timely fashion. Take your car here, and call them first. They are world class. Thank you all.

A few months ago I hit a gigantic rock and it tore off my under carriage shield. I ordered a new one but was nervous about taking it to a shop. Because car repairs give me tremendous anxiety. Anywho I saw this place on google and called. The various people that answered the phone were always friendly and informative. I went today to have my shield put on and they were done in less than an hour. The customer service is awesome and I witnessed this watching every customer interaction at the shop. Hopefully, I will not need to be back here soon but at least I know a local shop that will take care of me!

I just had my 2005 Chevy Trailblazer diagnosed by these guys. I saw numerous good reviews about the place and figured why not. Dave was the head of the operation, and he was courteous, well mannered, and held a down to earth composure. He disclosed to me the problems with my vehicle, and told me how much it would be. I went to Precise based on their solid Google review for a repair of my window motor. Unfortunately I was quite disappointed with their service.My window fell off the track and would not roll up or down. Therefore i temporarily but a plastic bag and duct tape on the window to prevent rain from accumulating in the vehicle due to the ominous forecast. I diagnosed the issue with the window myself by removing the door panel of the vehicle prior to taking the car into the shop. I kept all parts in a plastic bag and stored them in the vehicle so that the car shop would have no problem reassembling the door panel upon completion of the job.I dropped the car off and they said they were a little busy and it was going to take them a few hours to diagnose it (no issue with me). I got a call around noon telling me what they had to replace and the estimated cost (again no issue, price was reasonable). They had to order the part and said it wouldnt be fixed until the next morning. I called the shop the next morning and they said they received the wrong part and that it would be ready that afternoon instead (understandable, not their fault they received the wrong part). I went to pick up the vehicle and paid for the repair. Upon review of the invoice i noticed they had charged me for the diagnostic fee which was supposed to be removed if i got the repair done with them. The receptionist said good catch and promptly fixed it (almost overpaid $95). I went to the vehicle to test out the new window motor and noticed that the automatic up function was not working. After returning to the receptionist she grabbed one of the mechanics who then argued with me saying that no cars have an automatic up feature associated with passenger doors (not true at all and very frustrating). The receptionist then called the dealership and they proved the mechanic wrong and said they it was probably a faulty part. They said they would order another part but it would be a few days but i needed my vehicle so i told them i would return when they got the part since i had a semi-functioning window and it would temporarily do the job. After i left the repair shop i looked in the back seat and realized they hadnt installed all the parts (still sitting in the back seat). Instead of dealing with the mechanic again i went home and took the door panel off and reinstalled the parts they had neglected to put in. Upon taking the door panel off however i noticed it was missing a few bolts and they were nowhere to be found. Additionally, i noticed they did a haphazard job of removing the duct tape and plastic bag that covered my window and used such force to damage my window visor (partially removed). Magically the auto-up function of my window starting working again so i did not have to return to the repair shop.I can honestly say this is the worst experience i have ever had with a repair shop. They cost me time and hassle by making me figure out what they chose not to reinstall correctly and now i have to go buy replacement bolts to replace the ones they lost/chose not to install. Do yourself a favor and do not go to this shop, i certainly will not be returning.

Absolutely the best auto shop in the Norfolk, VB area. The owner David was very respectful and was able to quickly respond to my automotive questions, and was able to get my car in the shop without hesitation even though they were very busy at the time. Rob the technician was also great, I was able to ask him any automotive questions I had to and he gave me an honest answer. I went in to get my 6 spark plugs changed and they finished job in under an hour. Not only was there service fast, they also offered the best available price, after I had called nearly 5 other shops to get a quote. Best prices in the area, quick/responsive service. Will continue to go there for any other automotive jobs I myself cannot complete.

Ive been taking my cars here for years due to PACs excellent and reliable service. The owner takes care of his customers, ensuring they leave satisfied.For less straightforward issues, hell explain his thought process to prosecute and solve the problem. If you need a part from Napa Auto down the road, he will call ahead so theyre pulling the right part for the customer.Five stars from me because this is a place I can depend on.
