Now a second garage verified findings and he doesnt call back or answer emails.

Took my car in for a diagnostic because my car was putting and stalling. After leaving the car there for the weekend I was immediately told I needed a new motor for almost $3000.I took it to another shop for a 2nd opinion and after the other shop looked at it (which took a day at most) was quoted only $1000. Turns out all I needed was spark plugs, gasket repair, and some other things. Now my car rides smoothly . Im not sure what kind of diagnostics test Computune charged me for but they missed the mark on this one.

BLEW UP my engine!!! Did not seat the o-ring correctly when re-installing new oil filter. Oil leaked out and seized engine. Two separate independent ASE mechanics have pictures proving this is what happened; yet owner (Tom) refuses to file claim, trying to blame it on an engine recall. Again, ASE certified mechanics (2 separate) see the jacked up plug and indented threading and have pictures. You have been warned, stay AWAY! Will cost me $5K plus.

All they care about is how they’re going to get money out of you and if you don’t know anything about cars .....They’ll definitely rip you off and tell you that you need all of this extra stuff when you really don’t need it. Their Part prices and labor fees are just unbelievable and after they said they checked everything on my car I ended up with a flat tire a couple of hours later .

The work they do on my car is fine however the last few times Ive come here the men who work here only stare at me nasty and the guy who works in the office talked my ear off so much I was here for an extra 45 minutes because he did not want to stop talking even put his hand on my car so that I was not able to drive away until he felt like he was done only for him to text me 10 minutes later because he looked my phone number up in the system so he could ask me out and asked if this was okay. no this is not okay.

I originally gave them 5 stars because I thought they were really good and never had issues with them. A little bit ago, I took my car in because it was making a weird noise. They told me it was my brakes, rotors, and caliper. I got a second opinion just because it was pricey, and only my brakes and rotors needed to be fixed. My caliper was in good condition. So after getting it all fixed, my car still makes that weird noise. So they misdiagnosed my car & tried to get me to replace something that didn’t need to be replaced.. 3 stars bc the owner is super nice and some of the staff is as well!

These people are thieves. Do not go there, they are not knowledgeable and are not honest, they will add more damage to your car than what you brought in. I have been trying to get my issue sorted out that they caused and God forbid if they would call me back or even try to resolve the issue. They want me to pay an extra $300 to correct an issue that I already paid over $500 to fix. I am currently in the process of a civil suit so they will see that to cheat and be unfair is not the way to go.

I am going to give these guys the slight benefit and say they are just incompetent rather than straight-out dishonest. They misdiagnosed a major problem to only repair the damage caused by the underlying issue. After getting a funny vibe from talking to their tech rep, I said I would get another opinion, he strongly recommended not to drive my vehicle anywhere, possibly because THEY LEFT THE FUEL LINE TO A CYLINDER UNPLUGGED!?!?! That was discovered by another shop with the correct diagnostic. Plus, their quote was $500 OVER the price I paid to actually fix the real issue... After I had paid them their fee for the initial diagnostic (which was wrong anyways) and told them sorry I am getting another opinion, the tech rep said, Im not mad, I made my $100. Funny business.

This is the second time Ive brought my truck here, and they have done great work so far. However, the poor dude working the desk, Justin, is always pulled in 10 different directions every time I come around. They left a few tools in my truck too after I picked it up, but I brought them back after I noticed. After they put in a new fuel pump and sending unit on my truck, it runs better than it has in five years. Great work! Definitely overworked staff at the desk though. Hire another front desk tech and Ill give five stars.

Wow!! This place is absolutely amazing. My husband and I were on our way to PA from vacation when our truck broke down on a Saturday. We called every place imaginable and we either got the we cannot help you or we are closing soon. Not Computune they said bring it in we will see if we can get you on your way later today. Unfortunately the part we needed had to be shipped in so we had to stay a couple extra nights. Justin helped us get to the Norfolk airport so we could get a rental car and he sure did not have to do that. Computune went above and beyond in all ways possible to help us when we were stranded. If I lived in this area I would absolutely have all my vehicles serviced there without a doubt. If I could give them a 10 star rating I would and even more!! I recommend you guys dont come to this shop. I paid $900+ for ignition coil and spark plug. I drove my car here for a quote they charged me for $105. They said to meits very dangerous to drive around with 2 ignition coil mess up. So I decided to let them fix it. 2 hours later I come back and pick up my car they said the car run smooth. The next day same problem came up. I drop it off to get it checked out again. This time took them total of 3 days to get it done. I came in today and didnt pay anything seem like its covered on the warranty. I drove out the shop a mile down the street. Notice my windshield was cracked I went back and talked to them they. I show them my dashcam they keep saying its a rock that chip your windshield not us. we aint going to replace my windshield. I have the dashcam proof. It is hard to find an honest mechanic shop but I have found my permanent mechanic!!! When I went in I was treated with great customer service and a misdiagnoses on my car was corrected and not only saved me from having the wrong part fixed but also saved me more than half of what it would have cost getting the wrong part fixed. If I could give more stars I would! I left feeling good that not only was my car up and running again but that I found a shop that really takes care of their customers! I plan on going to this shop for anything I need car related!

I would not recommend this place to nobody. They definitely are rip offs. I called before I took my car and was given a specific price. Once I was up there nobody knew ANYTHING about the prices I was given and everybody said it wasnt them. Than the MANAGER hook my car to the diagnostic machine and said if we dont allow them to do the work it would be $95.00 but if we choose to let them complete the work the $95 is waived. Well the test was finished and all I needed was a battery. He stated I still had to pay the $95 diagnostic fee even though Im letting them put a battery in my car. What the hell thats not what was said to me 10 minutes ago. I would not take my car back up there and I would not recommend nobody as well. $95 just to be told I need a new battery REALLY. They jump all over the place with prices.

The service here is second to none. I came in for an oil change and told the manager about my oil leak. He showed me exactly how bad it really was and how I really needed to get it fixed. He also told me about my sway bar (which I was aware of ) and how I should not put, getting that also fixed, off anymore. There was no pressure to get the problems fixed. I did it because it needed to be done. He even gave me a great deal. CompuTune is now my new go to auto shop. The guys there are top notch!!

I went here to get my car fixed. My car is really beat up. It has a broken door, shattered dashboard, missing hub caps..etc. After service they gave me a document that said windshield crack was originally present. They didnt mention any other originally present flaw... I know my car is crap, but I have never seen this crack on my windshield before, it was over 4 inches long. When I angrily brought it up to them, they took full responsibility for payment. They paid the full price to get my windshield replaced, and I respect that. I would trust them to service my car again. Of course Im going to take a ton of pictures beforehand... but overall, I think theyre honorable people.

Soooooo, I go to this place and I was hoping Mr Tom would be there but ran into Mr. Justin.So I tell him I would like to have my front motor blower installed. Expecting to leave my vehicle there (it was 4:45pm)He tells me itll be ready before 6pm. Ok now the fun part I bought the blower before doing a diagnostic and it comes to find out I needed a resistor. They installed it the next day and I was good to go, oh! The diag was free and only charged pretty much for labor. Awesome place. Its my go to place from now on. This is an update regarding the initial negative review. I am speaking in behalf of my father base on what he told me a few days after CompuTune’s owner followed up on him regarding the customer service experience he had received initially.We initially did not have the greatest experience at CompuTune. However, the owner, Tom personally reached out to my father following the incident and made things right. We were very impressed by how Tom handled the situation. We were also very impressed by how he turned an employees mistake and made it to be a teachable moment of learning to become better and avoid making the same mistakes moving forward. That leadership spoke volume to us. After Tom reached out, my father came to the shop the very next day and Tom immediately came out and shook his hand as well as my mothers hand and was very apologetic in behalf of his employee. He personally replaced the car battery, checked it, test drove the car etc. He even did extra services for the car which showed his true sincerity. For the following days that my father’s car was on his shop due to other things that needed to be done, he was most certainly on top of everything, from the insurance and warranty calls to the littlest details like having to pick my father up when the car was made available for pick up. Needless to say, we were very grateful! One mistake of an employee does not define the body of the company. This showed my family and I about one thing and that is what the core of this company is all about....VALUE.Value is something that people want or need. It could be a product or a service. It could also be a solution to a problem. In this case, it was all of the above. Nowadays, that is hard to see in a company - that alone will be the determining factor to me as to where I can bring my vehicle. A place of value, where I know im in good hands, the vehicle that I and/or my family relies on are seen important and I actually found that here.

I have to give Computune on Little Creek Rd 5 stars. The 5 stars go to a senior mechanic working there. He has 25 plus years of experience. (Terry). I have a 1996 Honda Accord DX with 280k miles. Ive been meticulous with Hondas maintenance schedule for this car. Its passed VA inspections since 2005. The car threw a P1382 code, bad CYP sensor in the distributor. For the not so mechanically inclined folks, with respect, that cant spend or dont want to spend allot of money on old car, we do the you-tube diagnosis. Eric the car guy is great. But this code has multiple avenues causing failure,, not the obvious ones. I bought a remanufactured OEM Honda distributor for a 1996 accord DX, 2.2 non v-tech from E-bay, installed it. Cleaned out the intake manifold EGR airways, holes were completely packed with carbon deposits. Changed out the valve cover seals including the spark plug seals under the valve assembly,:number one piston wasnt firing due to oil leaking into the spark plug. Same P1382 error code, car stalls at stop signs, misfires etc. I took the car to Computune. Terry put the CPU diag tester on the car, it stopped at the CYP sensor OHM on my new Honda distributor so to speak, he put the multi meter on my new distributor plug connections, 3 and 4 showed 700 ohms resistance on the CYP sensor. 96 accord Honda distributors require the CYP show 800 and 1500 ohm to work. I bought a bad distributor. Wanting to save money buying my own distributor, I called 4 auto parts stores on Little Creek for Honda distributors,; FYI; surprisingly, some would not do the OHMs test before leaving the store, had to bring them back for the refund process. I was unable to locate a new distributor that passed Hondas ohm requirement, neither could I find a cheaper remanufactured distributor. Terry was able to find a good CYP sensor,; after 3 days of searching and asking them to test the OHMs before purchasing. He replaced the CYP sensor in my newly bought bad distributor, fixed that issue. But the P1382 error remained. He then pulled the OHM meter out again, found a bad wire going to the sensor in the crank case, by the timing belt. Replaced the wire, issue resolved. He then looked at the timing belt and discovered the timing belt was not installed correctly, off by 2 sprocket teeth, which is what caused the bad sensor wire connection. He reset the timing belt correctly. Yet the P1382 code remained. He put the multimeter back into play and found a bad pig tail wiring connection to the ECM, the cars computer. Terry replaced the pig tail wiring and the ISSUE WAS FINALLY RESOLVED. The car was in there shop for one week. Terry and the other mechs said they spent a few hours on diagnostics. The cost of the repair was 370 dollars. Money well spent. Computune even brought the car to my house to pick me up, after hours, so I could drive the car back to the shop and see for myself the car was repaired to my satisfaction. the repair came with a 12 month or 12K mile warranty.

This is my first review ever i am giving a business lol. I really agree with the negative reviews. The workers there are awesome but the owner will try to milk every cent out of you lol! I would definitely go back if the bald headed snake wasnt the manager/owner. He really will take advantage of you if you are not a car expert.
