I was not pleased at all. I took my vehicle in one of your centers and they half did their job. However, I was pleased with towing services.
Customer service should be geared to customer satisfaction, but you have to seem to go over mgmt and contacted the main office to get hassle free satisfaction more than once
I trust these folks to give fair estimates and good work. They stand by their work. My brakes had some trouble months after they did work to them, and they fixed for almost no cost. They fit me in with no appointment.

Worst shop visit I have had in a while. Lack of professional standards. I felt like an inconvenience to the front desk customer service staff. The staff member I was dealing with spent more time on his smoke break than at his desk. A state inspection should take so long.
They seemed on top of everything as far as calling to let me know the outcome of my vehicle and they returned my phone calls pretty quickly but they want to charge what I feel like is alot of money and more then what I am willing to pay. So for now my car just sits there until I get it towed
I have a Chevy Malibu and called to get a quote on headlights replacement. I was quoted $160 dollars, which I figured was not to bad the part costs $30 for a set of 2 bulbs, I thought the labor was a bit much $130 because national average shows $80 dollars.I drove 7 miles to get there only to be told that they only quoted me for 1 headlight and it would be $360 to replace both of them.I asked why it would cost an extra $200 and could not get a justifiable answer. Ive changed my headlights on my own before and it took me 45 minutes with basic cheap tools. No way they should charge $330 in labor for a 1 hour job!!! Where is this supposed discount Im to recieve as a paying member?I went right across the street to advanced Auto parts, purchased the bulbs for 29.99, came up to $32 and some change. I sat in the AutoZone parking lot and changed out the bulbs myself in less than an hour!Customer Service was actually friendly and your facility clean as a whistle. My complain are s the fact that you tried to rip me off during a time where money is scarce, makes me wonder about poor old ladies and people who know no better. Shame on You!
When you need help AAA is very competitive in price and you just feel secure having them in your corner. If you need a jump, tow, or service.

Was told my vehicles transmission was burnt up and it wouldnt go into drive. I arrived to pick up my vehicle then drove it to Charlottesville va 3 hours away without any issue. This place will try to fix things that dont need fixed and on top of that they quoted me $5791.17 on a used transmission and install. I do not recommend
Dropped off my car Sunday (AAA towed it for me). They called me first thing Monday. Got a good price on a battery (No mark up, 6 year warranty). Had my car back by 4. Covid conscious.
They were definitely courteous and had great customer service but get a second opinion because they were wrong about diagnosing my car. Said it was a blown head gasket but my radiator fan was just bad.Edit: it was a blown head gasket

Tried to charge me 688 to put a starter in a common car, then around 200 to replace a belt.I bet they wouldnt quote an unstranded male that amount... they think they gotya if you have to have your car towed there. I yanked it out of there immediately, was insulted by this quote, and humiliated by being a AAA member thinking I was going to get a decent and fair price RIP OFF WOMEN

These guys are scam artists. They gave me a quote for $17,000 for repairs when they hadn’t even read the codes from the engine. They tried to take advantage of me because they thought I didn’t know anything about cars.

I have used AAA at Norfolk many times for Brakes, Oil changes, Tires, etc.. staff is always friendly, communication is very good and work is always accomplished in a timely manner. No issues so far in using them.

Triple A+ for our experience. For no obvious reason, our car died as we passed through Norfolk on our way to Charleston. From the initial phone call to AAA to the polite and helpful tow truck operator, Matthew to the front desk experts at the Car Care Center, Eric and Kyle, we knew we were in good hands. Eric quickly arranged for an Enterprise rental when it became necessary for our car to stay overnight (of course this happened at 5:00 p.m.!) and we had to get to Charleston. We were thankful for the constant contact with updates. They treated us like family and our like it was their own. IF we ever break down again, I hope its near this AAA Car Care Center.
Joe was very helpful. He kept in contact with me and let me know what was going on with our car. The waiting room in clean. There are several places you can walk to and get something to eat and drink (beside vending food).

I went it today to drop off a tire with a nail in it to be fixed. I expected to pick it up later in the day. The service tech said I did not have to come back he would do it on the spot! It took him only a few moments. When I went to pay the wonderful man behind the desk said no charge. I was totally impressed.
I would give 0 stars if possible. I visited this place Friday December 14, 2018 at 7am and talked to Tim about replacing a flat tire. I was quoted on the cost to replace the tire with a spare( 30 something dollars) I had at home and also for the purchase of 2 new tires (230.00+ tax each) since my tire size was not in stock and had to be ordered. The plan was to have spare tire put on until new tires came in. I took a Lyft home to get spare tire. Upon returning I was meet at the front entrance outside by one of the workers (not Tim) rudely stating that they do not put on used tires and was very argumentative. I explained to whoever the terrible customer service skills service person was that I already spoke to Tim earlier about my car situation. He just kept stating well we cant do it and Tim is not the manager. This service advisor never ask me a single question nor had I seen him before earlier that morning. He just immediately approached me the wrong way with a nasty attitude.Thats not how you greet a paying customer. I kept my composure got my keys from inside and called a tow truck to take my car to Tread Quarters at 1001 S. Military Hwy VA Beach, VA 23464. Tread Quarters got me two new tires and covered the towing, and the best part is the price for tires and the tow was signicantly less than what AAA wanted for the same tires. Thanks AAA service advisor for deterring my business elsewhere.It was never about the money with me. Its how you treat your customers.

This Place is a total rip off. I purchased a frequent special car care card which was supposed to give me like seven oil changes two or three state inspections, tire rotations most fees and some at reduced prices. I paid cash for this card. I was not able to use it except one time in 3 years. Every time I would go to get an oil change they would be too busy. They would tell me to leave you my car first thing in the morning which idid 3 times. I would go at the end of the day and they still wouldnt have gotten to my car. Only one time when I said I was going to wait all day if it took that did I get an oil change did i get one or oil change. One oil change out of the whole deal in 3 years. These guys are crooks and you should not to take your vehicle there Oh yes, I tried to get a find several times with different excuses and no refund. AAA should be ashamed

I wish I could give 100 stars for phenomenal service! Not sure where to start but here goes...I had a flat tire and couldnt get the lug nuts off because the last place that rotated the tires put them on wrong. So I called AAA, and they got there within 15 minutes. Well that service tech couldnt get them off either, so I had to get it towed to the AAA service center because they needed to use a drill gun. The tow truck driver also got there within 15 minutes too, got me there to the service center where I was told by Carter at the front desk, who was amazing by the way, that before they did the work there was a possibility the lug nuts could break and theyd have to put on new ones and a new wheel bearing. I said, ok lets just try to get them off and hopefully they wont break. I overheard Carter tell Joe the mechanic, who was also awesome, to be careful and try his best to get them off without breaking them. Well, they were able to get them off without breaking them, they patched my original tire, did a tire rotation, put air in all my tires, pulled my truck around, handed me my keys, and Carter said with a big smile, Youre good to go Mr. Skees, no charge! I literally fell out on the floor! I was like, Youre kidding! So because of this amazing service I received, and all done in a timely manner, I had to write a review and thank Carter and Joe at the service center, as well as the guys who came to my house, Michael and....oops, I forgot the other guys name. But Im more than pleased with the service and have to say, AAA, I applaud you! :)

Went in with a tire with a slow leak. We were there approximately 50 minutes, an old plug-in tire was leaking and they replaced it and we were on our way no problems.
Always a pleasure getting my car worked on here. Workers are nice and a trip in never takes too long. Would recommend.
Ive been a member of AAA for years, and trust the name, so I took my car here for a simple oil change on 3/28. Had the synthetic oil, so I wasnt due again until 8/28 for another change. Here I am in June with my car indicating low oil pressure. Checked the oil, and it was bone dry. Added some oil, took it to another shop and found that they had incorrectly installed the gaskets or seals, and the oil had slowly leaked out. When I applied my brakes, the oil indicator light came on, thats what made me check it. This could have very easily caused me to blow up my engine, and I am extremely bothered by it! I was going to take it back to AAA for them to check it out, but wasnt comfortable with their work ethic, so I chose another shop. Trust me AAA, I will be following up with you, this is very upsetting!
Its interesting, Ive read the reviews of the people here, and this place has actually always been good to me. I just felt the pricing was a bit off, or that the job couldve been simpler. I was told once that due to a foreign car, the radiator had to be especially replaced with an exact model. I had discussed with other mechanics that this was not true, and that there is no special model radiators, unless it was a car built out of time (1940s below). This was a 1992 model. Being a bit desperate, I went ahead with the new radiator. They did the job very well, I had no radiator problems afterwards, so its not that they dont do the work. Also, they did call me to let me know that the car was ready. Ive heard of some customers not getting phone calls, but theyve always called me. I think all of the guys there do their best to be nice and polite. I cant remember his name, but there was a man working there, and his wife was pregnant, so he apologized to me about possibly taking a little longer to work on my car, but he would insure that the job was done. He called me back, so I returned and he decided, because of the wait, he would charge me half the original bill! And the job was done extremely well! Sadly, I dont think hes there anymore, but the service continued to be helpful to my car. I think they can handle small to medium issues more than extremely huge issues, but its not to say that theyre terrible. Theyve always been honest to me, given me free estimates, and called me for updates or finished work. I would give them a 6/10.
I had taken my truck here as a AAA member and had them tow it. They replaced the carburetor because mine had cracked. They did an awesome job letting me know of updates and delays with the work involved. Everyone in the shop was kind and courteous that I had communicated with. I had no problems like the rest of the reviews I have seen posted, and the I was so pleased with them that I decided to post my review. I had one problem when I picked up the truck and they towed it back to the shop and repaired it at no charge, but it was more of a mechanical issue they would not have been able to prevent. Will be going back to this care center.

Pretty disappointed, took my 95 ranger there for a diagnosis due to it crankonkg over but not starting. Explained that Ive already had my leg pulled and they said that they would solve the issue. I had to call to check on the status as I never heard anything from them since the tow truck dropped off my truck. Ended up being told I needed a new battery that it was dead. I stated that regardless on a jump box or being jumped by another car did not start it even though it started once for the tow truck driver he cut it off and it didnt start again. I was reassured that my battery was the only issue. Apparently they didnt start the truck and cut it off the try to restart because after picking it up and stopping by my house for 2 hours I return to my vehicle to leave and guess what.. my car is doing the same thing. Cranking but not starting. So much for paying for services that fixed the issue. I could have installed a new battery myself. Tired of being screwed over by these repair shops. Guess they are all the same. Very dissappointed and assume they will be counting my next tow as a tow against my membership and will charge me another diagnosis fee even though it should have been taken care of yesterday and not just charged for saying hey you need a battery... Well common sense says hey if a car isnt starting and you keep trying your battery will loose charge. But guess because Im a lady I wouldnt know.
I really dont understand people. There are such awful reviews here but my experience was perfect in every way. What does it take to please people? I read one complaint that the person had to wait to be greeted at the counter for a whole 10 minutes. How long do they wait at their doctors office to be seen, and are paying a whole lot more and possibly getting bad information.Everyone was polite to me, service was fast, the phone calls came with every update and Im totally satisfied.
Excellent service; I find the folks who work there to be honest and forthright; if my car doesnt need something, they dont tell me it does. I drive an 11-year old Honda Civic with over 115,000 miles on it; theyre keeping her in good shape for me!

My vehicle was towed for storage and the issue was never fixed!! It was never repaired correctly and efficiently. They never communicated as far as touching basis in regards to the final results with conveying a simple message stating the car is ready!!:/ Simply, customer service is very vital to communicate with the public in which they never did!! I give them Negative ZEROE Lightbulbs for rating!!...Lol...They Suck and Screwed my vehicle in one or MORE WAYS!!:/ Tripple AAA is A place who needs to have a One on One and debriefing Mechanical Issues and Auto parts, Learn How to Be Trained to do People Right!!!!!!!!!!

I have always taken my car here, and I trust them to tell me the truth. I took my car in after another shop told me I needed new brakes. The serviceManager called and said I absolutely did not, just a new bulb. An oil change and the bulbs cost me way less than what the other shop estimated for unneeded brakes! Thanks guys!
Terrible !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Dont go there . They labor rates are too much I went with a warranty to get my AC fixed.. I also had another issue developed which was more pressing. My warranty would not cover the issue. I was going back & forth with AAA and the Warranty Company . The Warranty company told me that I should move my vehicle to another shop as they would better be able to access both issues and try to cover it . AAA Assured me that once they fixed the first issue the second with my AC would resolve itself and they would but FREON in it and Not to listen to the Warranty company .. I ultimately cancelled the warranty . The parts were only like $300.00 but OVER $600.00 in labor on a car that is 10 years old. Two weeks later I took it back to AAA and they told me oh you AC Condsensor is not working. Well that would have been fully covered under the warranty and now listening to you all I cancelled it. They quote to fix the AC and additional $1700.00 !!! on a 10 year old car. I walked out. I got another quote from another company - the parts for the new condenser kit was $490.00 (which I verified on line) and they are going to charge $400.00 to put It on. which is only $800.00 much cheaper than AAA. Also when I went back for the quote they left a fastner off my front bumper which caused it to scrape all the way home... I will never deal with them again !!! neither should you

GO ELSEWHERE FOR SERVICE!!! NO PROFESSIONAL AT ALL! Went there for a synthetic oil change on a Groupon and ask the to look at my suspension. It was by appointment but took over 3 hours. How does it take 3 hrs to change oil. After 3 hrs when they realized i had a discounted oil change on Groupon. They hit me with a $60 diagnostic charge for just looking at my suspension. The car is already on the lift. How does it cost $60 to look up.

Its okay. Cross check prices. They said I needed something done but the price sounded too high so I declined. Other places were $300! cheaper. I asked them why and was told they have to charge more because they dont do it often. So beware of prices and compare to others?

I have never left a review for any establishment before but this time is definitely needed. I took my car in for an oil change to the Norfolk location got there at 7:20am mind you they dont open till 8:00am. The non chalant unfriendly guy at the counter told me that they could get to my car by 1:00pm. At 11:00 my car was ready & to my surprise, The Oil change wasnt the only thing they touched now I need a wheel alignment. when im driving, my car pulls to the right and absolutely nothing was wrong with my car prior to bringing it in.. 3 hours of waiting and I leave with something wrong with my car. Beware!!! This place is unprofessional and will do something to damage your car and your pockets!! GO AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!!

This place is a rip off! PLEASE DO NOT bring your automobile here! I am a 30+ year platinum plus AAA member. I brought my car in for service simlply because the heater was not blowing out hot air. The manager said I needed a new radiator and thermostat the cost would be 1600$. Fine I sucked it up because my truck is 10 years old and had never needed any major repairs. It took over a week to fix but finally the work was done. Well a few weeks later, the heater is still blowing out cool air and NOW there is a antifreeze leak! The original problem was never fixed! I take the truck back and the manager says the radiator was repaired, but the system must have found a NEW way to spring a leak! Mind you, there was NO leak originally! Then he goes on to say it will cost $2000 to repair. So two weeks ago, I paid 1600$ now you want me to pay 2000$ for the SAME problem plus a leak? No way! Then the manager goes on to say I was lucky because the leak was on the outside of the engine. Lucky??? I called the corporate office and am waiting for a call back. I assume they are closed for the holidays. But please DO not waste your money going to this chop shop! The good AAA name is just a front to cover fraudulent, botched work done by con men. You have been warned. I wish I would have read ALL of the bad reviews before going. I will update my post after I contact corporate to see if my issue can be reasonably rectified. To be continued.***Update: Found out what the REAL problem is. Took my truck to two mechanics, same diagnostic. AAA did put in a new thermostat. But they INSTALLED IT IN INCORRECTLY! Causing a leak in the water line! It was recommended by both servicers I take it back and DEMAND they properly install the thermostat and check the line! P.S. Dont bother calling Bobby, the district manager of the head office, he has not called me back! I called three times. So my next steps are to physically go to the head office, put in a formal complaint, then head to file a report with the BBB if AAA does not offer a alternative solution. I will keep you posted! Learn from my ordeal. Dont take your autos here!

My review is very similar to Bill Greens. Over the last year or so, reps of AAA went around selling the pre-paid services card. I thought it was a good deal and purchased one. I guess they figure people will come back later even if its without the discounted or free maintenance. However, almost every time I go, they claim to be so booked up that I am usually asked to come back another day or to leave the car and maybe they can get to my oil change. (Applies to the Battlefield Blvd location also) I find it hard to believe that AAA Car Care is that popular. In fact, before I got the pre-paid card, I had never gone there. Maybe they shouldnt have gone on such a large scale campaign to sell these pre-paid maintenance cards. Who knows. Even though I still have free oil changes with them, I ended up paying for my last one at the busy dealership and was in and out in less than an hour. My card is expiring within the year so I wont be trying to go there for much longer.

Flat tire on hov, called for a towe because spair was busted too. AAA roadside told me that they couldnt pick me up because HOV was too dangerous. So i had to get VDOT to get me off the highway. They got me to terminal right next to NAS norfolk, where i was heading to work. Now AAA could pick me up when they get me all hitched up, service man tell me he cant take me on base because the truck inspection takes too long. That he is going to HAVE to take me to the AAA Norfolk car care center. Mind you, this is about 13 miles away, and i pointed out that bayview tires was right up the street from our location, and they had my tire for $60. Nope, had to go to AAA. Im a AAA member and only had 3 miles free towing with 5 for every extra mile after. Oh, and the cheapest tire at AAA was $99 and a two hour wait. 5 hours after my initial blowout, and im still waiting in the member center. This place is a rip-off.

HORRIBLE!! I went in for a state inspection and they told me they denied me because I needed new roaders. They said it would be about 400.00. So I didnt have the money and left and went to a very highly recommend shop and was told my roaders we basically new!!! My brakes and everything were perfect and had alot more miles to go. I WILL NEVER GO BACK OR RECCOMEND ANYONE HERE!! THEY ARE A RIP OFF AND ONLY WANT UR MONEY!

I think AAA sucks!! They try to over charge u for everything & if u drop ur car off they put ur car last. I went to get my oil changed, the guy said it wud be a two hour wait. I came back 4 hours later n my car wz still in the same spot.
Nope. I use AAA for roadside only. Tried on more than one occasion to give them a chance in their shop, but they are WAY overpriced and the problems they diagnosed werent even the issue.
