Every time I have an issue with my car, I make sure to bring it to this shop. Theyre very efficient, easy to get a hold of, friendly staff, and they do not overcharge you like most auto repair shops would. I would recommend this place to anyone in need of an auto repair at a good price!
I was sent here by CarMax, my coolant kept leaking, it had to keep being filled nearly every other day. Well we were told they couldn’t find a leak. 2 weeks later we took it to Take 5, for an oil change…GUESS WHAT?! Take 5 found the leak. We now took my car to a dealership. All because this auto repair shop is too lazy to do their job. I have a strong feeling they didn’t even check for a leak. My car is under warranty, fortunately. But that’s not the point.
I stopped by today to ask them about an issue with water leaking from the dash onto the passenger side floors- not expecting anything but to get an appointment for later in the week. They were honest and treated me like family- a wee bit funny too! I like that in an auto shop- they talked through my issue with me, answered my questions, and told me exactly what they were going to do. They went out of their way to help me out and I most certainly will be going back!
I went there in the afternoon before work and filled in the form, which said:Check list... I asked for them to check my oil. They charged me $36. I wasnt called or asked if I wanted it. Later my boyfriend said he put in new oil.I told the man I wanted a state inspection. I did not see it on the form. I would have though they would have called me. NO...So now I am going somewhere else. The people who worked there showed complete disinterest. As a 70 year old women, this is terrible. There is no customer service and no one to hold them accountable.
Ive been going to Speedy in Norfolk for years, they have always been customer oriented, trustworthy, and friendly. Jim does a professional job managing customers and making sure everyone is taken care of, have never been disappointed and will continue to seek them out first, highly recommended.

This company was very rude to my grand daughter who had taken her vehicle in for a state inspection. They gave a rejection sticker because they said she had too many lights. She covered the after market lights as suggested but when she returned they disconnected the lights that were factory installed on the Jeep. All the Jeep’s have these lights. They don’t listen and talk over you when you’re talking and trying to make a point. They were also laughing saying “I don’t know “when asked a question . They are unprofessional, intimidating to young females and go over and beyond to inconvenience clients.
Cory and these guys are top notch. 100% straight forward and honest on top of being great mechanics. No hiding anything here. Repeat customer and will always use these guys anytime I need maintenance done.
High pricing but good fast service
I took my car to speedy a few months back for inspection. I had specifically asked them to change positive clamp on battery. A couple weeks after getting car back and spending almost 1600 dollars I would be driving down the road and my car would shut down. So I call up there take my car back and come to find out they didnt even replace the clamp so when I went back they act like theyre doing something for me and put a new one on which was suppose to have already been done. I was charged for it. So after they put that on I was still having the same issue. I take it to advance auto to have battery and alternator checked. And low and behold the clamp the had put on there was broke in half. I was lucky I wasnt killed cause I would be driving 55 meph and my car would shut down. No lights no Hazard. Nothing. So be careful

I pulled up to just ask for a little air in my tire but they went the extra mile to locate a nail that was in my tire and quickly repaired it in three minutes complementary! I am so amazed at how kind and efficient they were! Quality service, and goes above and beyond! Will definitely be returning for further car needs!

They dont try to sell you something you wont need. I recommend them for any quick and major service you need done on your vehicle. Jim is a great manager he will take care of you.
The new management here is fantastic. I had a brake light go out the day before a long road trip, and Jim provided excellent customer service, good repairs, a good price - and they definitely live up to their name! I really recommend making an appointment - they honor them, and yours becomes the next in line ahead of any walk-ins. Ill definitely be taking my vehicle here again.

Took my car here for a alignment. It was pulling to the left. I was scared a shop would try and add things to make more money off of me. This shop didnt do that. They did a great job on my alignment. Ill definitely be back.

Horrible, stay away at all costs. The Lead Tec will contact you and tell you that you need all kinds of unnecessary things done to your vehicle. He is deplorable. We broke down on the highway, were towed to them. The Lead Tec told me that to fix the truck, he needed to do a complete tune up, then change the coil packs, then do a compression test, then change the oil. When we checked the truck, it indicated that the VCT solenoid was bad. We changed it and every issue was resolved. This guy is a criminal. We turned him into NAPA and hopefully they will pull there affiliation with them.

I went there at the last minute to get my car inspected. It was late in the day when most places wont even take you. They inspected my car and did very quickly. Great customer service.
Came in based on recommendation from my sister, turns out she only dealt with previous mgmt. Called 10 days in advance to make an appointment as I was flying in to pick up a car I wanted checked out and the air charged. Dropped off the car the night before. Called for results and theyd done nothing, as they didnt know why the car was there. They rushed it through so I could pick it up the next day, and I was charged $60 in labor, and $106 in parts, *and they accomplished nothing with the car*. Whatever with the $60 fluid check and assessment, but $106 for a single air charge so they can tell me its the compressor? Ridiculous. Twice the price of a successful charge, and they reccomended I have another shop look the car over when I get home. By someone competent? You betcha. Most expensive NOT having fluids changed ever.

This dude failed my 2017 car for a ton of bs reasons. Granted I didnt have. Tail lights which I understand but he also failed me because my tires rubbed the plastic a little bit on the front of my car. His solution was to quote just put smaller tires on the front and bring it back and Ill pass you and you can put the other tires back on considering I drive an all wheel drive vehicle it is very bad to drive with different size tires you can burn out your transmission. Probably a terrible mechanic if he doesnt know that.
Honest car workshop. When they discovered an unexpected problem with the car during an oil change, they called before attempting to fix it. When I came back to the store to pick up my car, it turned out they didnt need to do the fix. Other places might do the unexpected repair without asking, or do it even if it turns out to be unnecessary.
First I want to say I have been coming here for years. I went in for an inspection 2 weeks ago. I called before coming and was told there was like a 2.5 hr wait. Ok fine. I go there and I was car #4 for inspection. I saw other cars going before me, fine I knew they could be getting other things done. 4 hours later I ask manage, I explain that i was just checking because I saw that i was next for inspection but a ticket behind was put into the inspection bay. He told me with his nasty nice attitude that they were getting different things done and inspections are being done in the far right corner. I said ok. I wasnt sure. After his rude explanation. A few minutes later he yells out the a mechanic to just take it out. I was sure which vechile at this time, but it was the one in the Inspection bay. Oh then next mine was pulled into the same bay that I was just told that inspection werent getting done in. So my car was inspected and I also got an oil change in about 30 minutes. Do now at 4.5 hours later I was rejected for one tire and they saw I had nee brake work done and said that one brake line had a twist in it. I saw it and it was definitely a slight curve not a twist. But ok fine. So when leaving I got in my car and it is hesitating to move when pushing the gas pedal. Or riding real different from when I drove it there that morning. I didnt say anything that day because I knew I had to return for re inspection. I returned and was presented once again with this manager that clearly needs customer service and communication skills training. I asked again about how long and somehow we had another conversation and the way he responded or spoke to me was not very professional. Maybe it is his personality that he feels that he can talk to people any kind away and that he is the victim with anything you ask him. Just so defensive and aggressive for no reason. I say him go outside and begin talking to the mechanic outside about our conversation. The mechanic was just standing around and Jim I think that is management lites a cigarette. At this point, I could not trust them being that something happened to my car 2 weeks ago and they out there talking. Needless to say I left without getting my re inspection. So upset and disappointed. The new management and mechanics are awful. So go at your own risk. Reggie and there was another mechanic that was there, that I dont see anymore was Awesome! I trusted their honesty and work to my vehicle. I feel like the new ones are doing this to your car and failing cars for things that arent even in the regulation guidelines. The other mechanic I was talking about I think was assistant manager to Reggie, he didnt talk that great to customers either but I feel that he honest and better than what is there now. There is one young mechanic still there. I love his work ethic and I wish him the best. But I definitely will not be bringing my 2 vehicles back for regular maintenance and oil change to this store. SPEEDYS, not anymore.So go at your own risk! It use to be a great place for auto work and great service but not anymore!

I used to think highly of this place but then they try to get me to fix something for 600 dollars that wasnt even needed for the state inspection until i googled it so i just uninstalled the fog lights and took my ish else where.
Do NOT take your car here for inspection. They failed my car for one of the tires having a plug on the sidewall, but there wasnt a plug on the sidewall. The guy then began trying to tell me that it was too close to the sidewall, so I asked what guidelines he was basing that on. He gave me a printout of something that said, no plugs on the sidewall, but he had admitted that it wasnt on the sidewall when he said it was too close. When I tried to leave without paying because I was being blatantly lied to, he and the service technician got in my face and told me, youre not taking the car, trying to physically intimidate me. They then called the police on me after telling me it was okay for me to leave.
I went in to get my car inspected, and I have literally never heard of a car failing inspection for why it did, it seemed like they were SEARCHING for a reason to fail the inspection so they could charge me to replace the issue. I told them no, I’ll come back after I fix it myself ($13 for a LIGHTBULB, REALLY?!). I bring it back, and they again said the problem wasn’t fixed and tried to give me a hard time about the issue. I can GUARANTEE you I will NEVER be coming back here.

My husband took his Camaro for state inspection, mechanic fail car inspection due to tire rod. When car was taken to Firestone to get it fix.... we were told ~no new tire rod need it~ SOME ONE WAS DEFINITELY TRYING TO GET YOU*DONT TRUST MECHANICS IN THAT LOCATION....OR GET SECOND OPINION AS WE DID. NEVER AGAIN....

I was told I needed control ARMS. I was quoted $369.00 an arm= $738.00. I went to Advance Auto and paid 139.00 an arm=$272.00. WHAT A RIP OFF! That is a $466.00 Mark up WHY!???! BECAUSE IM A WOMAN!

Dont go here. I have taken my car here a few times and Im sad to write never again because its close to my place of work. Last week I took my Volvo here because it was making a horrible noise at low speed. They told me the control arms needed to be replaced as well as two tires and charged me almost $1,100. After I picked the car up it was still making the noise. I returned it and they made an adjustment and told me it was fixed. It was still making the noise as I demonstrated to the mechanic. Finally they said I needed a CV joint and wanted to charge me almost $400 or so more. There was no interest in refunding me for unnecessary work. I had lost faith in Speedy by this point and took it somewhere else. I’m glad I did.I took my car to Dellingers in Chesapeake. As soon as he heard the noise, the mechanic told me Speedy’s diagnosis was incorrect and the issue was engine related. Dellingers said the noise was caused by broken engine bearings and charged me about $500 for the fix. The noise has now gone. So I spent about $800 needlessly and have no money to buy Christmas presents for my kids - thanks for nothing Speedy.
Crooks. Charged $89 for an oil change. Oil change 29.99 basic, 42.99 mid, 49.99 best on a big sign behind the counter. When asked which type of oil I responded Castrol 5W-20. He said all we had was mobil 1 and pointed to a bottle on the counter. Okay no problem. I come back to my car after they called and told me it was ready and find its still on the ramp. When I go to pay I am informed that it is $89. At no point was the price ever disclaimed to be different than on the sign. He tells me I pointed at the bottle. A closer look reveals $79.95 scribbled in black sharpie next to the black print on a gray mobil 1 bottle. All 3 other customers in the shop were dumbfounded and could not read it either.
Reggie has not worked at Speedys since January please remove his name from your website.
The WORST customer service I have ever experienced! Ed was very pompous and unprofessional! Reggie was very nonchalant. Car pieces were not the way they were when the vehicle came in. Would not ever recommend this place a d would warn you before even coming here. HORRIBLE!!!!

I went there to install a new exhaust system to my car, they expent 2 hours working on it so I went to get some food. When I came back they told me that they could not install my new exhaust and they put my old one back on and charged me 75$ for that. Took the same exhaust to another shop and it was ready in 45 minutes.
