A great place for South asian food ingredients and for freshly cooked appetizers..at a good price.. great discounts during holiday seasons.. for bulk buy. Flip side parking..
Love the place. They took over the ToysRUs property and gave new life to the intersection. They make everything available at reasonable prices. You can get everything indian here and quality of produce is very fresh. Best place to get your onions and tomatoes. Also they have electric charging station if it interests you :)
Large mall, quick checkout, ample product availability. Awful music selection.
Lots of fresh produce, freshly baked pastries, prepared foods, and snacks. Stop in just to visit or for routine grocery shopping. The staff is very helpful and friendly!
One stop shop for Indian/Pakistani groceries, with a bunch of fresh bakery items ready to eat.
Good vegetables and other Indian items. You will find everything Indian you need/forgot to/could not bring from India. But beware of what they charge you. Sometimes they will slip an item you did not purchase or randomly add something that isnt even in your bag. Always check your bill!
Never had any issues. Good amount of items to choose from. Waiting die jackfruit season to grab some. Freshly made food are sold in the back. Vegetarian friendly af
I have written reviews earlier for Patel Brothers. This is no different. Just for a different branch. Patel is one stop shop for any Asian groceries. You name it, they have it. Fresh vegetables and fruits available all round the year. Lots of fresh hot Indian snacks. They also have a curry point with lot of veg curries. In addition, they have thali available now a days. What more can you ask for in one place.
Cant beat the selection offered here of Indian and South Asian groceries. Vegetables, grains, packaged goods, spices, snacks and a large frozen selection. Its designed to be a one stop shop and does a good job at it. You can often spot one of the owners at this location as well as the Devon location. They are good folks.
Hot food was REALLY Good! Prices reasonable everything authentically Indian overall experience excellent
You get pretty much everything from an Indian grocery standpoint but monopoly of Swad products...no choices in most of the items.
Im so grateful to have an Indian grocery so close to home. They have a great selection and their prices are very reasonable considering how much is imported.
This place has everything to fulfil all basic house needs with especially great selection of fresh fruits vegetables and groceries including a commendable fresh kitchen cooking Rotis of various kinds .
I am very much a novice when it comes to Indian cooking and ingredients. I found the store overwhelming, but in a good way. I enjoyed perusing the shelves. The staff was friendly and helpful with my questions.
Patel brothers have all sorts of ingredient for cooking southeast Asian food and more.
Fresh produce. Good people. Good price.
Love love love this store. It is sooo clean and sooo organized. The variety of food, and the freshness of their produce, and the customer service of staff are always excellent.
Very nice store, especially if your looking for middle eastern style foods and the produce looked wonderful Lots of options.
It is the megalodon of Indian groceries! And I am in love with the store. I have always wanted a wide selection, well organized, affordable and clean Indian store with great service. Chicagoland has just gotten one. There is everything you can ask for and then some. Fresh produce, frozen vegetables, ready to eat foods, spices, rice, dal, pickles, specialty groceries, a bakery and a roti machine that bakes a variety of flat breads - all under one roof. No doubt that it is a great convenience for North suburban Chicago.
Best place for indian groceries in Chicagoland
Great grocery store with wide variety of foods, fruits, snacks, sweets and fresh vegetables.I do highly recommend this place!
This is by far the best Patel I have been to. I used to go to Patel on Devon but since they shut down for renovations I went to this location. Firstly, ample amount of parking. Secondly, very clean, organized and lots of varieties of all the things you would need. This store also has a bakery and that’s a huge plus- Samosa, puffs, pastries. They got everything.I also needed help to look for something and the staff was very nice and helpful!
Has all the popular options for Indian cooking and other Indian brands. Good shop for Indian groceries.
Nice place for groceries specially Indian and they have so many offers in festive seasons
It was a wonderful experience. This is one of their biggest and well stocked stores in the States. Excellent variety of products. Excellent helpful staff. Everything Indian I could think of in groceries was there. I wish them all the best.
Lots of fresh produce. Employees were nice.
I love this grocery place. All kind of fresh vegetables and fruits and Indian and Pakistani all kind of groceries. Fresh small hot food specially I love begun bhurta and chuney 👌 and different kind of sweets. Dont need to go Devon anymore. Thanks Patels Brothers for opening store here.
It was huge. It had an amazing collection especially veggies.
Management is very down, food is good need to improve a lot, they have the advantage of party hall
I hardly like to buy here, the truth is, I see the prices somewhat high compared to other stores
Bigger than Schaumburg one. Have more or less the same stuff.
Great store to shop for fresh vegetables and indian groceries. Spacious and clean too. Nice selection of indian snacks, curries and breads!!
Very organized store with good aisle signage. Huge variety of spices (in bulk too) and other items.
Terrible experience. The SWAD brand rice I got had insects as soon as I opened it and the store refused to take it back. Don’t buy SWAD rice.
They have started selling SWAD products majorly now. They are pathetic.. i have had real bad experience with the brand SWAD. Have thrown thier Poha, Semolina packets as it was really bad. Fresh sweets and namkin are often on their worst possible level. I have box pack milk cakes with Dec 2021 exipry date with fungus on it which I brought 2 days ago from Niles, Illinois.
This store is much bigger than the others. They have a lot of new items and ready-made curries.
This was for sure one of the bigger patel brothers I have seen here in IL. They had variety of stuff and one of the most interesting part was their in house kitchen. It was disappointing to see that there were no menus and everyone was gathered around the counter so there was no was to ask the servers about the menu esp during COVID time we should always maintain 6 ft distance. People were wearing masks but no one practicing social distancing.
Gonna apply for a job there and see of they hire a white girl. Lol seemed like a nice place
Super friendly and so nice
Highly recommended! Great variety of products from around the world. Huge store, you will be amazed.
This location has really poor customer service and they sell expired food. Check the label before you buy because they do not honor a return when they are at fault for selling expired foods in the first place. The woman was extremely rude, did not listen or apologize or take any accountability. She just talked over me. Wish they would focus on doing the right thing versus only after making money.
The store is in a prime location, has most of the Indian grocery, huge fresh produce section, youll find almost every kind of vegetables & fruits. The prices are pretty much the same as other Indian grocery stores but they have seasonal sale during which some items will be discounted. They also have a huge kitchen (take out only) where they make fresh samosas, Kathi rolls, cutlets, rotis, theplas, Naan, curries etc, one of my favorite section. Has restrooms. On an average a person would spend about an hour to check most of the sections. Would recommend.
First time in Chicago excellent store!Prices were reasonable I thought it would be super expensive but no. Great selection, I recommend.
Great store for any Indian spices and veggies... also amazing fruit selections .
Great place for Indian grocery, veggies. Indian snacks like puffs, rolls and samosas are very tasty and don’t miss the variety of chapatis and nans for very reasonable price and good quality..
Fresh produce, good inventory, reasonable rates. Customer service is good too. Pretty far from my place about an hr drive with kiddos thats the only drawback, will have to stock up for couple of months for sure. You wont go anywhere else once you visit this store.
This patel brother was really neat, clean and organized. All the patel bro around chicago are organized with less clutters. I tried their special thali which includes roti, sabzi, rice; taste was very fresh and authentic. Roti can be improved but overall, very fair price and fantastic taste.
Vegetable are fresh and you will get Indian groceries
This is a spacious store, well stocked with all the Indian Groceries and snacks. The prices are reasonable. All the covid guidelines are followed by the staff in the store.
Happiness Stays here in face of food and fresh Vegetables
I go to Patel for the fresh fruit like cut papaya, store baked Samosa, and value priced bulk almonds, walnuts and raw cashews.
We can buy all Indian food especially the North Indian dishes and ingredients for cooking, we can buy all vegetables and fruits too. They have sufficient parking lots, they have different sweets like laddoo, jalebi, barfi and Lassi too..
Very expensive! It is a better deal to buy from surrounding indian grocery stores.
Very spacious and clean. Lot of choices.
Grocery store really doesnt do justice to Patel Bros., its more of an emporium, the Gujarati mega grocer/green grocer and international dry goods retailer.Wherever there is sizeable community of Indian families youll find a Patel Bros. The Golf/Milwaukee junction is relatively new, but what fabulous shopping experience it is, assuming of course, you are looking for fresh fruits, vegetables that you may be familiar with along with a wide assortment of more exotic varieties.Patels at this particular store, have introduced, the Desi answer to the all American Deli, where freshly cooked hot vegetarian meals are served to, along savouries and a limited number of sweets you might only find in a sweet centre.Yesterday was my first visit there, my usual little store was out of stock of elaichi chai, (cardamom flavoured milk tea) so it was only an educated guess, that for sure, Id find it here and of course I did.I have to say Im intrigued by the deli concept, I just didnt have time to get in line, but could see quite a few entrees Im really fond of, like saag paneer, daal makhni and channa masala not to mention there were samosay at a really attractive price.Naturally this calls for another visit when Ive a bit more time on my hands. The Devon Ave Patel Bros. was one of the reasons that Indian families from surrounding states made regular shopping trips to Chicago, the stand alone, Niles, Glenview, Des Plaines store is so close to the interstates, for sure it will add to the local economy in a substantial way.
Great new store excellent variety and friendly team
So many authentic Indian foods here, from produce to spices. And they really churn out the fresh naan in the bakery. While the store appeared very clean, Unfortunately I picked a refrigerated packaged dessert and when I opened the sealed package it had quite a bit of mold. Eeew. I returned it and they apologized and gave me my money back, but still, This had to be sitting there a really long time for mold to grow in a sealed package. Thats not good.
I had a bad experience in buying vegetable produce Turya or Jhinga in Bengali-language. We discovered immediately on returning to home that they are all rotten. They are not good for human consumption. Within an hour I went to the store and they said they have no return policy even if the vegetable are rotten or poisonous. Every consumer should be careful while buying vegetables from them.
It is the best place to get all Indian food items as well as other items all at a reasonable price. The staff is friendly too. There is electric car parking present in the parking lot and multiple handicap vehicles parking. It is the best place to get all Indian food items as well as other items all at a reasonable price. Absolutely horrible experience! Especially being indian I thought it would b a smooth grocery shopping experience but boy was I wrong! The incompetence level was unreal. Not to mention it felt like the roads of india the way people were jam packed inside doing spins with the carts
Live long & RUN!BACTERIA & DECAY, ITS NOT A CONDIMENT?
It is a very nice place it has a very nice layout and is very attractive
Good place for Desis
Very good place to buy Indian / south east Asian grocery. it would be better if they give selection of more then just few brands. most products are Swad brand only.
Ons stop shop for Indian groceries, veggies, fruits, snacks, fresh cooked variety of Indian tortillas, sweets and other household items including magic broom, incense, herbs, etc..
They sells variety of vegetables and gocesaries and the price is affordable
Great store to shop for fresh vegetables and indian groceries.
A bit crowded but the best Indian store near me.
One may find several desi products under a single roof.
Amazing! So clean. Such a good section. Also served fresh hot food now.
Wonderful enormous store for all Indian groceries. Fresh cut fruits and vegetables. An array of Indian sweets, mithai. A very nice bakery in the back that caters to snacks and lunch. From spices to lentils, from frozen to fresh items. The aisles could be bigger given the current social distancing regulations but otherwise very nice.
Great collection of fresh Indian vegetables. Well spaced aisles and an in-house restaurant serving great food. This is the best Patek Brothers store in the Chicagoland area. We stay 40 minutes away but still travel here for our regular Indian shopping.
Worst quality of mangos, I bought 20 count mangos, none of those are good
Good one to buy Indian Vegetables and Groceries and ready to eat food was awesome. When ever we feel tired to prepare food, just get the Roti and entree we can finish our dinner or lunch. My kids love Samosa- an Indian snack here.
Big store but not organized
CleanFriendly customer serviceGood prices
Need friendly staff, too uptight..
Its a pleasure to shop here. You can get even variety of fishes here!!
One of the best Indian grocery store in Chicagoland area.
Surprised. Not very busy after Christmas. Were able to get fresh foods. Most excellent
Good Indian store. Low stock in cooking utensils.
Great place to buy Indian Groceries
Went to buy Indian snacks samosa, veg puff, Kathi rolls, gulab jamun... reasonable prices
Nice grocery store with the lots of selection and very reasonable prices
You can get all traditional Indian items required to stock up your pantry, snacks shelf and Pooja items. You would get all popular sambar, rasam and other masala powders we would purchase in india. Its a go-to Indian store. Hot samosas and paneer chilli puffs are my favorites here.
Good place to shop for all Indian spices and grocery
Awesome grocery place for Indian and Pakistani food
