Dave was such a kind person. I had to have my car towed there and he made me feel at ease over the phone immediately. I had a grommet that needed to be replaced and that is all he replaced, he did not charge me for unnecessary parts or labor. God bless him, I think I have found a new mechanic! Very satisfied with the service and the honesty. I highly recommend this AAMCO.

David was soooo nice and kept me informed through out the whole process when I had to get my transmission rebuilt on my 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee overland. He kept it real with me about what was wrong, and I didn’t even have to deal with my warranty company .. he did it all!! Thank you AAMCO & thank you David!!

Omg, he was so nice, fair and honest. You can tell that Dave really cares. He kept in communication and was honest about the issue with my van. If I ever have car trouble in the future I will definitely go back to Aamco.

So about 2 weeks ago my fiance and I got some bad news, his bmws brain had stop transmitting properly (transmission) and we had to make a big choice an we chose to keep and get her fixed .so I shopped around i found and was also referred to aamco transmission by my father so I went by to speak with them about the car and was greeted by MR David who was very kind and professional I explained what was wrong and they looked over it and gave us an estimate and 👀of course it wont cheap so I sat down with Mr David and kept it honest as to what i needed and expected (which is honest work) and I believe he did as well about his business and service. The transmission repairs took 2 weeks mr David kept us up on progress whenever I called in he treated me with respect and not like I was bothering him, hes a good guy and great customer service so far so good and I do recommend their services Thank you Mr David and the mechanics at aamco transmissions!

We took our 1990 Dodge B250 Van in for a transmission rebuild a few weeks ago . We are very happy with the rebuild, Van runs like new. A special thank you to Dave, what a great manager . We are happy with the work and it was on time and did not brake the bank! Thanks again

I went here today to get a vehicle checked out. When I got there, there was a note saying because of COVID-19, they were doing touchless service and that I would need to fill out a form and drop my keys in an envelope. I obliged as I appreciated the concern for my safety. A gentleman called and asked for my last name (left that off form) and said that someone would be out to look at it. I sat in my vehicle because it was cold out and exchanged places when the service person came to get my vehicle. Once it was inspected, the same gentleman that called me came out and talked to me about my vehicle. He said that they couldnt determine what was wrong with my transmission because of a blown fuse but SOMETHING was wrong with it internally. He then proceeds to tell me it was $59.99 for them to check it out. Nowhere was I told there was a charge and I wasnt asked if I was OK with being charged. Ive never been here before and came here on the recommendation of a friend, but I just assumed places have to tell you that youre being charged FIRST before it happens. If I were allowed inside, Im sure there would be a menu board or some other kind of advertisement of their prices.Nonetheless, because a service had been rendered, I paid the price that was quoted. However, I will not be back.

I took in my Moms car that hadnt been driven for quite some time. It had multiple electronic issues. Dave was the service assistant that I spoke to about the problems with the car. Not only did he make sure that everything was fixed, but the first time in a long time, I dealt with a person that was customer friendly, honest, and knowledgeable about the issues. Dave and his fleet will see me again if I need a vehicle serviced. KUDOS to Dave!

Took a car in with broken brake line and gas line. Took a few weeks to get the car back with us going by periodically. Asked them to do brakes while car was there and was told they were fine, it would save us a few hundred on the $2000 plus repairs. Just found out last week, the rear brakes were so bad Brake King had to cut them of and repair cost us over $600, less than 6 months after repair job where we were told brakes were fine. Before this happened we went in for several repairs. Have taken an older truck in several times, no issues with any repairs, they have not gotten faster with repairs.

Outstanding customer service, walked me through everything my car needed done to pass inspection, the dealer wanted to charge me 785, this place did it for 230 everything and got it done in less then two hours. I was at work and they worked with me to get my car picked up and my convenience as well. Fantastic all around, I have no problem coming across the tunnel to see these guys. Customer for life

Took my truck to AAMCO because I thought it was having problems with the transmission. Left it overnight - and got a call the next day that it wasn’t the transmission at all. They couldn’t repair the problem at their shop so they referred me to another shop that could handle the problem. The kicker here is that they were honest and didn’t charge me a dime! How amazing is that?!? An honest car care company! If anything else happens to my truck I will be going back.

The manager David was wonderful. He helped me understand what was wrong with my Jeep and what was needed to fix it. The customer service he provided was outstanding and I will only take my vehicles to him for any transmission problems. Thank you David for all your help!!

After getting an estimate from the dealer Im so glad I brought my truck to AAMCO. The work was awesome, didnt cost as much and they updated me about my vehicle daily throughout the process. These guys can fix just about anything!!!! Anyone that needs work done to their vehicle should definitely bring it here.

Im always careful about where I take my car since Im a female. These guys here are so honest and just fix whats wrong with your car. They dont try what all these other shops do. I would recommend them to anyone. Cant beat a ride home when my car gets fixed too!!!!

Wow. I been to many mechanic shops but this place is absolutely horrible. If I were to type all the bad encounters and services experienced here, I would run out of characters! To sum it up, I back here twice for my vehicle because it wasn’t fixed the first time and they ended up not being able to fix it but make it worse! They costed my vehicle $6780 worth of damage and the only way I could get ahold of there insurance and get my money back was by me speaking with AAMCO HEADQUARTERS!!!!!!! As they wouldn’t own up to there mistake!!!! Of course the insurance money wasn’t equal to the amount of damage and I was short by 1k. I’m warning everyone seeing this post, DO NOT GO TO THIS AAMCO for any reason. Only reason I went here was because of the google rating! Please do not make the same mistake I did or you will loose your money even if you have a SERVICE WARRANTY, JUST AS I DID!!!

I took my 2001 Acura MDX to this shop because the transmission needed replacement at 143K miles. Their service writer said that a new rebuilt transmission would last another 150K miles, so we paid $3300 for them to do it. Eighteen months and 31K miles later, the new rebuilt transmission was shot. We took the car back to this shop and were told that the transmission needed replacement again for another $3300 (I verified that the transmission needed replacement, at another transmission shop). When I said this is not right - you must have done something wrong, the owner denied it and blamed it on faulty parts, over which they have no control (?!) I said, Dont you think theres something wrong here? Wouldnt you feel cheated if this happened to you? and the owner looked me right in the eye and said theres nothing wrong here, thats just the way it goes - your transmission is out of warranty (12 months, 12K miles). I said, How about Ill pay for the new parts, and you replace the transmission without charging for labor - that would be fair. The response was a detached and dismissive no, cant do it. This shop is crooked and does not care about customers. My strong advice is to avoid them at all costs. I wish I had.

This place is ok. I drove my vehicle there from Williamsburg because they are named after a nationally known transmission shop, but they didnt seem to know how to trouble shoot what my problem was. My vehicle is pre-computer, so you cant just plug it in for diagnosis. So I figured being AAMco, they would know how to troubleshoot my issue. $200 later and they have no clue whats wrong. Im very disappointed.

Drove my camaro in their to have it looked at, spark plug wiring had melted and after fixing it 4 times got tired of trying. Told them the issue and left my car there. Not only did they fix it, i was still able to pick my car up after closing, and they didnt even charge me for any of it. (*i had provided the parts*) Done in around an hour, when i was told roughly 3 hours.

Should have come here first for transmission trouble. 2/3rd the price of the dealer and a longer warranty.
