Nice lady at the front desk. Helped with a few things. However, Im always a little suspicious when Im told repeatedly about one issue after another that can be costly.

I came in for what I thought was going to be a pricey repair but their service is so honest and superb! My bottom black panel tore and began to drag so I had to keep it up with some twine. I called after a few mechanic shops saying they wouldnt do it, Newmarket told me to bring it in. Ive been upcharged and kept waiting at other places but I waited at max 40 minutes here. They got me in an out in a jiffy. I ended up paying $25 for my repair. So no upcharge! The gentlemam who fixed it just drilled new holes for my clips and screws. I was so grateful for their work and service. I will be more than happy to do more business with them. They got me back on track to work as we are so understaffed and missing one day really hurts our clinic. Thank you all! Youre fantastic.

I took my car there for state inspection. They told me that my parking brake didnt work so I went an got it fixed an when I brought it back they said it still didnt work I dont know what they did but it did work had to take somewhere else an get inspected .. They need some one there that knows what they are talking about.. would not recomend them to any one .. WOULD NOT TAKE CAR HERE

Newmarket is the only place my husband and I take our cars to anymore. They are the only honest shop in hampton and Newport news area. The pricing is best in the area as well. If you need any work done to your car definitely stop here first!

Mike and his guys are the most honest mechanics Ive found in the area. I tell all of my friends that Mike will treat you right. More than once Mike has saved me money by working on something that needed doing while working on something else so I didnt have to pay the hourly fees twice. And once, when one of his guys messed up on a repair Mike owned up to it and didnt charge me for the re-repair even though it entailed both parts and labor. If youre looking for a good, honest mechanic you dont have to look any farther than Newmarket Automotive.

I will concur to all of the previous comments! Mike is as honest as they come and I come to him for any problems that I have and I get my inspections done here every year! He has been doing this for years. I moved to Hampton from West Texas. I rarely used the heater in my car. When I got to Virginia I learned the heater wasnt working. Made an appointment with New Market. Mike, the owner, described the worst case and best case scenarios and the costs. They proceeded and learned the core was plugged. After 8 flushes they got it clear !
