One of my favorite places to get groceries in the city. Excellent assortment of imported goods, frozen goods, snacks, produce, meat. They stock the stuff you wont find at Whole Foods or any of the other big chains. Friendly staff. Also, well-organized and compact, never takes me long to get what I need and check out.

I like stopping by when I am in Midtown. They have a good selection of Japanese snacks. The best konbini in Midtown. They sometimes keep the Matcha dark chocolate Alfort cookie, as well as the Maple and other flavors, in stock. Their karaage and rice bowl is also very tasty. The store staff are very friendly

Cute little convenience store. All manners of Japanese food, snacks, and wares. There’s a tiny small seafood station and produce in the back, and in the front there’s ready to eat food. A microwave is conveniently provided for those that need one. Asahi cans at 1.29. Would highly recommend as a casual detour or quick stop over. Definitely a nice little find.

Lots of Japanese products and a lot of delicious Japanese Drinks! This is a small (this is Manhattan of course,) but well stocked Japanese Grocery Store. This grocery store has sauces, seasonings, breads, sweets/desserts, prepared dinner/lunches, a butcher/deli counter, frozen foods, and cold drinks. If your looking for a specific Japanese food, this grocery store is going to have it.I mainly come here to buy Japanese milk tea drinks, coffee drinks, and bean cakes. For the coffees, my favorite coffees are Pokka Coffee Gold and Ucc Coffee. Both of these coffees are similar to the Starbucks Frappachinos, but not as sweet nor as creamy. My favorite Milk tea has to be Ito En Milk Tea Hawaiian style. Those three drinks are crack! The Vitamin Cc Lemon is pretty good. It tastes like Fresca, but instead of having a grapefruit flavor, it has a lemon flavor. The Suntory black tea is good (unsweetened) but its a bit pricey $2.50. The Calpico literally tastes like Lychee. The Bean cakes are good and my two favorite cakes are the wheate cake and the cake with the sesame seeds on it.This is a very good store to go in and buy a drink, a bean cake, or Japanese groceries!

It is a tiny Japanese grocery store, has most your Japanese essentials, sauces, snacks, noodles. Its vegetable selection isnt too wide but has your Japanese vegetables but only those that are uniquely Japanese. No where near the full selection of vegetables. They also have ready-made Japanese food and sushi for to-go. Oh and some Japanese beers are available as well. Not your fully stacked grocery store, but has your Japanese/Asian essentials.

Distinctive Japanese groceries, highest quality deli and amazingly friendly and helpful staff.Tip: for the perfect winter New York dinner party:1. google how to make shabu shabu at home2. buy the pot and gas burner device on Amazon (quite cheap)3. buy all the freshest ingredients at Dainobu. Great little japanese convenience store that carries prepared foods, drinks, snacks, cooking supplies, even alcohol. Theres a coffee maker and microwave in case you want to heat up your lunch here. In the back is a noodle stand, I think. I only ever visit after work hours, but I assume it must be popular with the business crowd. I like that the selection of snacks and drinks change often, so I get to try new flavors of pocky and etc. as they come out. The staff are very friendly.

You can find most things that you would only usually find in Japan. This place is wonderful, especially for the area. Yes, prices are a bit higher than in Flushing. Hello, its in Midtown. As in not in a place 45 minutes from anything remnant of late 1980s Beijing. But the selection is unimpeachable. Many items are frequently on sale, at appreciable discounts. On weekends, all frozen items (excluding ice cream) are discounted a ludicrous 40%. No one is quite sure why, since theyre frozen. The icing on the cake is the variety of Japanese beers available that arent easy to find elsewhere -- Im looking at you, Orion.
