Really good ice cream with a delightfully subtle hint of booze. A large collection of flavors including vegan options which you can enjoy as scoops, toppings of your choice, make your sundae or their trademark sundaes. Final alcohol content is 5%.They also have a happy hour from 4-5 pm Monday to Thursday. They also allow you to sample 2 flavors. For dairy, I had the spiked pumpkin and the dark chocolate whiskey caramel flavors and both were pretty good. The texture was smooth and creamy for both and the addition of whiskey really gave a boost to the chocolate ice cream. For vegan, I had the mango margarita, which was very good. The mango flavor was strong but not overpowering and the margarita lifted it from up from a good mango sorbet. They also have pints in store.
Very small and cozy store with only 3 bar stool seats. Variety of flavors from ice cream to sorbet that comes in a cup or cone. You can ask for samples too if youre not sure which flavor! Didnt get the name of the person who took my order (she basically ran the whole shop) but she was so nice and friendly! She was patient with the customer in front of me by explaining and recommending the flavors. I didnt want whipped cream on mine so instead she substituted with candies! I am giving 4 stars because of the customer service otherwise it wouldve been a 3. I forgot the name of what I ordered (its raspberry limoncello and choc mint ice cream) but it was preset on the menu. I shouldve chosen my own flavors; the sorbet wasnt icy enough and the ice cream wasnt creamy enough for me. I might return to try another flavor if Im in the area. I dont think this is worth going out of my way for, unfortunately.
Great place to visit and Jessica made it a wonderful environment with her nice welcome. She makes the best icecream Tipst Scoop. I give this place a 10 Stars if i could and almost forgot to mention to try her cookies.
This place is amazing for anytime of year. They always have a crazy custom seasonal sundae that satisfies every single time. The place is small but has some stools to eat on. The staff is extremely nice and knowledgeable about everything on the menu however there might be a need for a second person working there because at peak hours it can take a little to get your order. They sell icecream sandwiches, cakes and even by the pint. If youre looking for an instagramable icecream place that will also give you a buzz you just found goldmine.
Visiting from Virginia and this place is so good. It was my husband and I first time trying ice cream containing alcohol. There were plenty of options and flavors. He had the bourbon vanilla bean and I had the cake batter. Would definitely recommend this place and come back if ever in the area.
Sitting at about 5% abv, Im still impressed by the flavor and creaminess of the ice cream! The color changing spoons are also a great touch. A must visit if you like ice cream and booze. The staff was friendly and helpful when trying to pick a flavor. Very reasonable prices and decent sized servings. Will definitely be back!
Awesome, fun, and delicious flavors. Ordered a double scoop, with strawberry sangria sorbet, and strawberry orange tequila ice cream (seasonal flavor). Both were outstanding. Sorbet was definitely more refreshing, but the ice cream packed a bigger punch. Even took a pint of a different flavor home because I was so impressed and wanted to try everything. This place is a must do when youre in the city for sure!
Very good alcoholic ice cream flavors! I really liked their texture; similar to Turkish ice cream. Loved the color changing spoons! The portions were very good and the prices were fair. The service was fast but okay; one employee was very nice and the other one was tired (it was a late Sunday night.) The shop was a bit small but theres some seating available indoors. Its worth checking out if you like spirits (liquor) and have a sweet tooth!
Ice cream is good, but what’s better than ice cream? Boozy ice creams!!! We went to try some delicious boozy ice creams here before the St. Patricks Day. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted with a welcoming smile. The manager was on duty, and she checked our ID.The inside was a nice size, not large, but not too small either. They had one small section near the entrance, reserved for Sundae Making Class with lots of toppings and such on the counter. How fun!We got Tipsy Pot of Gold Sundae, They certainly knows what pot of gold should look like…amazing!!! Our favorite was Irish Coffee, it was so delicious! The other two flavors were great too, and they were all strong! And the portion size was quite HUGE! Not really made for one person… It is perfect for three or four people, really. The manager was really nice, friendly and helpful. She was very knowledgeable about the company, and passionate about working there. They do have other sundaes there at Tipsy Scoop, and you can even make your own sundae too. I would definitely recommend this spot, and we shall return in a near future for more!!!
Love coming here. Jess was amazing and so friendly. I was able to bond with her over the love of lost flavors that are no longer being sold. I was unaware that Red Velvet Martini is no longer on the menu !!!! PLEASE Bring that back. It was honestly my go to flavor. Otherwise this place is amazing. The flavors are unmatched.
Amazing ice cream infused with alcohol. Jessica was extremely helpful and friendly!
Good location to get a nice ice cream with a hint of alcohol. You get 2 examples, after your staff check your ID. You can get ice cream sandwich, cake, if you want to try more than 2 get a flight of 4 different flavor and so much more! Staff is friendly, location is clean. Non-Dairy options! I really liked the raspberry limoncello and the mango margarita.
Love this place its like bringing your inner child out but with the perks of being a legal age
Boozy Icecream!!! They are just awesome. The flavors are really tempting so tried 4 different flavors bundle and as it’s my first time, I took the best decision of trying 4 of them. Staff is knowledgeable and helpful. Will definitely recommend and go back again. Glad that I tried this place. #barlour
Love ice cream and love booze! I knew id love this place before i even arrived... staff were very friendly and let us try some ice cream before buying! love their whiskey infused one and also the seasonal spiked pumpkin one was delicious! You can also buy some candy in the shop as well, i just wish i could have taken the ice cream home without it melting on the plane!! I will definitely be back here on my next trip! Even better to visit during happy hour !
First off let me start by saying the ice cream here is great, the flight is the best deal you get four different flavors. Jessica was so helpful and friendly she helped us out with pointing us in the direction of what type of flavor our taste buds might like. The only downside is that you can only sample two flavors. They do not have a rest room, but you can get your ice cream to go. After finishing all four of my flavors I must admit I was the perfect amount of tipsy. I can’t wait to go back to try more flavors.
During Halloween weekend, I got a chance to try Tipsy Scoop for the first time. I got their Halloween edition ice cream with vodka mixed. When I took my first bite, I was amazed! I could immediately taste the vodka. But after the first bite, it started to taste like vanilla ice cream with KitKat. I was a little worried about getting this flavor because it included Reeses which Im not a fan. Luckily I hardly tasted the Reeses. Just the delicious KitKat, vanilla flavored vodka ice cream. I was impressed. I like that they sell large containers in addition to pint size. Tipsy Scoop would be an awesome treat during a summer hangout with friends. Even for get-together during the winter holidays (post-covid of course), Tipsy Scoop would definitely impress your guests.
Very yummy ice cream. The worker is very friendly and asks you what flavors you may like together.
This was my first visit here, unfortunately its during CoVid19, However it was worth the visit. Youre not going to get drunk or buzzed from these desserts, but they are enjoyable. There were so many different flavors of ice creams and sorbets to entice every taste bud. I ordered 2 scoops, vanilla bean bourbon, and cake batter vodka martini. Both were yummy and refreshing, great for a summertime treat.
Ice cream was great, delivery was not. For how expensive it was I was very upset that it was delivered to a friend over a week earlier than the date I picked, especially after I even emailed to confirm the correct date.Customer service said theyd fix the shipping error, and then proceeded to do nothing. In short great ice cream, but sadly very unsatisfying customer service/delivery experience.
They have a good alcohol infused ice cream selections with toppings. The scoops are of a good size but I think they need a tad bit bigger cups for two scoops of ice cream. In overall if you enjoy ice cream as much as I do, then you simply have to stop by this nice little ice cream parlor. Tipsy has great service, great atmosphere and great ice cream! Went with some friends and loved the vanilla bean bourbon & hot buttered rum.
Awesome experience, this place is very small with not much seating but the lady behind the counter was very helpful in explaining what I was about to journey into. The ice cream is delicious and 2 scoops is equivalent to roughly a light beer. Still very cool spot and I recommend everyone give it a shot. They also offer an option to buy pints to go and have classes where you can learn to make boozy Ice cream.
Good fresh flavors. Bozzy flight are are a great option if youre with people that like to share=best bang for muchs and variety.
I was very excited to learn that you had ice cream at Citi Field as I am a big Mets fan! Unfortunately their product is not accessible to us regular folks, you have to buy the $500 seats to get access to their booth at Citi field. You should think about making your products accessible to everyone at the game. It was very degrading and most of all disappointing to not be able to try your product when I had seen multiple food accounts posting about it like it was open to everyone. My money went elsewhere tonight and Unfortunately I will never become a customer because of this negative experience!
I received this product as a surprise birthday gift first two times when it was supposed to be delivered unfortunately I was not home . By the time I got it everything was thawed out and the box was a mess. My issue is that when contacted regarding the incident advised that a 22 dollar delivery fee will have to be payed. Definitely a bad experience and never got to try the flavors. Should have better delivery partners that understand the importance of keeping product in good quality until it’s delivered to customer.
Amazing!!! The service was just as good as the ice cream. Will definitely go back!! Thanks for the awesome experience 🤗🤗🤗
Loved it! I had the bourbon flavor. You get a free gift if it’s your birthday according to the cashier. Their color changing spoon was cute ! 10/10
Reason for going: Night out with friendsPros:Extremely attentive and passionate staffDelicious ice cream with plenty of choicesUnique decorCute food presentationFollows policy of not serving to minorsCons:Limited seatingOverall: I had a pleasant time here. It was quiet enough to have a conversation with friends while having a great selection of ice cream. Thank you for the hospitality!📷@datasianjan
Great spiked ice cream. The tequila flavored ones are my favorite. Make sure to try the pink cone!
The boozy ice cream isn’t all that boozy (I could taste the alcohol if I searched for the flavor, but don’t expect to be getting an ice cream cocktail). The ice cream is nice, and you can get a flight of 4 different flavors to try. The cookie sandwich is also quite yummy. It’s a cozy cafe and not too crowded.
On my food list, Tipsy Scoop ice cream was everything I could imagine when it comes to alchohol infused ice cream. Chris and Jessica was very kind, professional and friendly. They help us navigate their diverse options and guided us to our preferred favour. If you are visiting or live near by, this place is a must. Be tipsy and eat responsible.
My review is of this location and not of the brand.I don’t like writing bad reviews. You can check my profile I rarely write them. I work in customer service and have for 10 years but the service I received here was hostile. I came in on Sunday after walking for hours in 93 degree heat to get ice cream at a place that’s been on my bucket list of restaurants for two years and I finally had the opportunity to go to that day.I ordered the flight. I was asked by Jenny if I wanted a flight board to go with that and I said yes because I assumed it was to transport my flight of scoops to the bar to eat them and then give back. When I realized I had spent $28 on ice cream I thought “well it’s alcoholic and it’s NYC” but then I checked the receipt. I explained to the 2nd associate ( the girl who checked me out ;Jenny was on the phone in the back of the store) that I didn’t understand I was buying the board and asked if I could be refunded (this conversation was had while I was still waiting for my order) and I heard from the back of the store the associate who checked me out “no refunds!”. I asked the second associate if there was a manager here today and she said no. I decided to just take my order and wait until the associate (Jenny) who checked me out was free as she seemed like she was the more senior worker of the two. When I did I kindly, patiently, and while talking in a calm manner explained again that I didn’t understand what I was purchasing as I wasn’t told I was paying to buy the board and that I had no need for the board. Jenny then said in a harsh and hostile tone “sorry for the misunderstanding. If you have no need for the board you can throw it away!” First of all you’re not sorry because if you were then you would have refunded me or passed me along to someone who could. Second, telling a customer to throw away an item you sold them instead of refunding them is so rude. I asked if there would be a manager in that I could give my information to and Jenny said she was the manager….I decided not to push the issue further as I didn’t want to argue. I instead left in tears.I called another location who was very kind and advised me to email customer service to get refunded. So far I have not been emailed back but I was refunded $10 of the $15 that I was charged for the flight board.
Ive never been to an ice cream place for adults. Very interesting flavors. You can definitely taste the alcohol but it is not overpowering. Give them a try, you wont regret it.
Is a great and incredibly idea if you want to have some fun. Their icecream is delicious and flight of 4 flavors is my recommendation. The staff is very helpful and courteous and their list of flavor include flavors from bourbon all the the way to margaritas for tipsy effect. They also have alcohol free flavors
Great ice cream, terrible service. Went in with my s/o to order and asked 2 questions about the flavors. Employee, girl with dirty blonde/brown hair working a few weeks ago on a Friday evening, kept correcting us and telling us that we were saying the wrong thing. We ordered quickly and left. Will not be returning. Such a shame.
Our group arrived around 2pm to a very crowded building. We were very excited to try the Ice Cream and it did not disappoint. Even though the line was long the wait was not and the staff was extremely polite and thanked us for waiting. I got the Strawberry with White Sangria, and it was delicious. One of the best sherbets I have ever had. The only issue I have with this please is the seating is basically non-existent (Maybe 10-15 chairs). This is fine but I am pretty sure walking around the city with Alcohol Ice Cream is illegal, so you dont have many options.Overall I really enjoyed this place and 100% will be back!Quick Tips- Each person who enters the store will be carded.- You get 2 samples per person- Ice Cream is very reasonably priced (Cost less than other shops right down the street)
One of the best hidden spots. Perfect balance of sorbet & liquor.
Great ice cream to make you a little tipsy
Had a really good experience here. I wish I took photos of menus and ice cream choices but it was a short run. Definitely will be back to try the other choices! Danielle was an awesome seller!
Cute little date spot or getaway for you and the girls on a hot day. Ice cream is great and so Is the staff.
I loved it! The employees are nice, they were very informative on options of taking ice cream home without it melting and they made me the best waffle bowl I ever had. I gave them a $3 tip, I wish I had more to give lol. Their ice cream taste so good. It was so good I went back for seconds and I bought a pint for home. This will be my new favorite shop! Its definitely a place you take your friends to have fun!
Not much tipsy, but u ll feel food ;)My wife found this and though we live in NJ (like 50 miles far), she made sure next time we visit NYC, we come here. Its your neighborhood ice cream parlor, not big, kind of small and cute. What makes it different than others, they serve Liquor ice cream. YESS..!!IMP: you must be over 21 Years old and they do check IDs. Sorry kids :PWe ordered a scoop of mango margarita which comes with tequila and orange liquor, spiked hazelnut coffee-hazelnut liquor, dark choc whiskey salted caramel and tasted hot buttered rum - cinnamon whiskey. Was that good? YES.. with every spoon, you can feel the taste of different liquors. I liked it very much.Décor is cute, its ‘Barlour ‘. Long stools are there to sit on the wall side. It can be crowded at times. Price is also not heavy on pocket. $5 for a single scoop. Definitely, I would come again.
The girl who attended us was rude. I asked for a mando daiquiri but instead I was served a mango margarita, when I confronted her about this she said they didn’t have the flavor I wanted but she had never told me anything before had. I still like the ice cream but I was upset that she tried to be slick about it. She had a face the whole time and made us feel unwelcome.
Very good ice creams and sorbet, it was better than expected. They have great combinations and it taste incredible. If it is you first time I would recommend the Boozy Flight is 4 flavors of your choice, and you can combine Ice cream and sorbets, was delicious. On the picture Boozy Flight (strawberry with Sangria - Vanilla Bean Bourbon - Mango Margarita - Dark chocolate Whiskey Salted Caramel)
I came to tipsy scoop to get the ultimate St patricks day treat. A cauldron full of ice cream, named the boozy pot of gold sundae. It had dark chocolate whiskey, spiked mint chocolate chip, and Irish coffee. This is definitely something you want to share with someone lol thankfully I went with my friend. Many customers came in during my visit so I believe it is a pretty popular location. Who doesn’t want alcohol infused ice cream?! The shop is decorated nicely, gives off “instagramable” vibes. The staff was attentive and nice. I had a great time here :)
100% recommend! Great flavors
I’ve been wanting to visit here since spotting them on instagram. I like ice cream and alcohol so surely the two combined will be a winning combination?! Well, yes! The alcohol is not overpowering but the flavours are yummy. I went for the tasting flight to try as many flavours as I could. The dark chocolate whisky salted caramel was my personal favourite.
This place is awesome. I tried vanilla bean bourbon, cake batter vodka martini, raspberry limoncello, and the mango margarita. The sorbets were delicious. You could really taste the bourbon in the vanilla bean bourbon. My favorite was the cake batter vodka martini. I will definitely go back and try other flavors. The place was really cool. The vibe was friendly.
I prefer my cocktail and my ice cream separate. And their customers are OBNOXIOUS ever heard of a trash can?
Just fantastic, I found this place through Instagram and I am glad to say that is really nice, the ice-cream is actually pretty good, chocolate bourbon was my favorite but the watermelon sangria was delicious as well. Need to know that this is a small place, so be patient if it feels a little bit packed.
Omggg OMG OMG my FAVORITE ice cream place of all time. You can’t not love Tipsy. Yes, I used a double negative. As long as I breathe, Tipsy Scoop shall remain in business 🥺😭😭😍😍
Great, creative selections and varieties of ice cream. Cute, small & clean. Flavors could use work. Not rich or deep enough. Presentation is beautiful, flavors on the bland side. Mexican chocolate is very good.
If youre looking for a different kind of ice cream and are willing to pay the $12 per pint price... then you can definitely give this place a try.No prices on the board/menu can always make one nervous because this presents the opportunity to adjust the price to match the demand. A flight sampler is 4 sprinkle rimmed shot glasses on a little tray (that they take your licence for in hopes of getting it back) and its more than an entire pint of the ice cream itself. Make sure you bring your license with you because they do actually check all party members IDs whether youre partaking in it or not. If you buy 4 pints you do get a cute little cooler tote to carry them around in. Most flavors were very good, some were very similar to others (like the chocolate pretzel and the salted caramel), and others were surprisingly strong (raspberry limoncello and Mango Margarita).Overall a positive experience. If you can stomach the city during their happy hour, you can get some good enjoyment out of what they have to offer
The ice cream was awesome, you can sample up to two flavors, bring your ID you cant purchase or sample anything without it. Small place with limited seating. I enjoyed the coffee hazelnut ice cream made with patron.
I wanted to try their icecream for a long time, so it was on my “to do” list when visiting NYC. I don’t know why but I didn’t expect that much from the location itself but I found it very cozy and instagram friendly. Could of sets and the best alcho ice cream I ever tried. We choose 4 different flavors but the Red Velvet Martini was my favorite. Must try if you are in NY.
A must visit if you are in Manhattan and if you love ice-cream and cocktails. Strictly for people aged 21 and over as they do check IDs. The red velvet and maple bacon bourbon I highly recommend. They also sell branded merchandise such as an ice-cream scoop (which I bought) which is very reasonably priced. Their website tells you what flavours they have available and you can also pre-order in bulk. You must visit.
Ice cream was great. The store was a little small with limited seating.
OMG! This place is amazing. Was looking around for some dessert and this peaked my interest. Im not a huge fan of alchohol, so I was a bit skeptical in terms of the taste.Upon arrival we were welcome by a marvelously friendly staff. She gave is recommendations and we were able to sample two flavors. The TASTE was amazing! The flavors blended well together so of course I had to get a sundae. Highly recommend this place and loved everything about it.
We didn’t know exactly what to expect from this place. There was a line and very responsible they checked ID fro every customer.Ice cream was really good. Alcohol in the ice cream is not strong enough to give to a kick but you still can feel it and taste it. I would 100% go back!
Not much seating but icecream is always so delicious!Don’t forget your 21+ ID-and anyone else eating the icecream with you MUST have one too-or you won’t be able to get icecream at all! All flavors contain alcohol!!
Worth a detour . A small ice cream joint with a twist, all ice cream is made with alcoholics ! You can taste for free and a big scoop cost only 5 bucks.Staff is superfrindly !
When I first heard of Tipsy Scoop one or two years ago I bookmarked the address vowing to make a visit. When I finally visited I was blown away. I liked all of the flavors that I tried, especially the Cake Batter Vodka Martini and the Strawberry Rhubarb Bourbon! They were both so delicious and I had trouble putting them down.I have eaten a lot of ice cream from a lot of different places around the world, and Tipsy Scoop definitely now falls within my five favorite.
This place is absolutely appalling. The owner and staff are extremely rude and condescending to customers. It is not acceptable to be operating as if you dont value people when you work in a place of hospitality. The shop is comically tiny, like a shoe box. Questionable cleanliness practices.
Lets get real: the product does not match the photos. They sell each pint of ice cream premade with a lid... like a grocery store. Theres no upside down shot of booze (as the Instagram and social media photos suggest). The ice cream is good and is 5% alcohol (which is LOW compared to a glass of wine). But besides the fake social media images and punchline -- its just overpriced ice cream from a freezer.
I got a buzz there! Oh come on! You would really believe it? Yes, I can tell I feel the alcohol flavor so as artificial colors but you would need to eat much more then a couple scoops! I think its fun that they market it as Liquor store
Definitely a must try.
Its ice cream. Good ice cream. Is it the best, no, but its pretty darn good. The addition of alcohol pushes it past other ice cream in the good category.
Its a nice, small place. The staff are really friendly and excellent explaining the different ice creams. They offer two free samples per person. The one scoop is really big! We went St Patricks Day and a customer ordered a very festive item (pictured here).
I love this place. I had the dark chocolate salted caramel whiskey ice cream it was great. This place is not for kids you have to show your ID to get there ice cream. I recommend this place four different kind of dessert.
I had the Oktoberfest pretzel and beer ice cream sandwich - what an exciting fun treat! it made me so giddy and fuzzy inside the moment it was served. Loved the icecreams, the pretzel bun was a bit too dry and filling for my liking, but all in all felt like one happy statisfied kid again
Expected more but the ice cream didnt taste like it had alcohol at all, might give it another chance
So delicious with the most exciting flavors. 21+ because of the alcohol percentage! Try the flight and get a bunch of different flavors to share.
Great ice cream with wonderful flavors. The people work are fun and care about customers. Will be back
We love this place! It’s a great addition to the neighborhood and it’s a unique experience. The ice cream is delicious and the service is excellent. So much fun. Highly recommended!
Boozy ice cream! Prices arent horrible, most of it tasted really good. It gets really crowded and the place is tiny so I would recommend getting something to go if you can
Took my best friend here to surprise her for her b-day. It is totally awesome sauce. You cant go wrong with liquor flavored ice cream, sorbet, and sandwiches. Also I love the fact that icecream has a happy hour. Bonus: you can mix flavors. I mixed cake batter vodka with red velvet martini it is to die for. Enjoy the pictures.
I really like the concept and the ice cream was very tasty. The best part was the flights. If you cant decide on one ice cream get a flight with 4 different ice creams in smaller portions. Great stop on a night out.
Today I received water.. my package wasn’t even the slightest bit cold. My package was outside for all of 2 minutes before I brought it inside and opened it. For an item that costs so much you would think you would receive a package that could handle keeping it frozen. I am extremely disappointed and would not suggest wasting your money for this headache. The very nice lady from the store returned my call and advised there was nothing she could do for me except make a report. She could only provide me with an email address. Absolutely ridiculous that there is no customer service.
Its overpriced. $5.75 per scoop. Theres no discernable amount of alcohol in the ice cream. Only after you buy multiple scoops may you POSSIBLY feel a buzz. This affect was in the hazelnut but not in the mint chocolate chip. But the ice cream overall is better than baskin Robbins
Worth the hype! If it’s your first time in NY, this is a fun place to get some boozy ice cream that you probably won’t find at home. You get two free samples. Small space but very funky vibes. I recommend the flight because you get 4 different flavors and the presentation is quite creative. It’s a bit pricey but worth it for a unique ice cream experience. All flavors were delicious, but if you’re a chocolate fan, the Tequila Mexican Hot Chocolate is a must.Instagram: @thenomadicfoodie
