I dont write many reviews, but I needed to write a review for this place. I go there all the time, and really appreciate the employees at this location. They do not hesitate to help and always friendly. When I ask if they have a certain product, they know where it is and if they do not, they try to help me find that product, if it is located at that store. I have nothing but good stuff to say about this place!They carry a lot more products than you would think like, paint, tape, dishes, wood, lamps, etc.Thank You.

Purchased a toilet seat, asked for white, they gave me what looked like very pale blue. I pointed that out to store clerk, he said its definitely white.Took the seat home, compared to my white bowl it was very blue.Took it back, showed the clerk a photo to compare as well. Refused refund because package had been opened.

Staff is very friendly and store is well stocked. I needed to paint my apartment walls, and found everything thing I needed!! Amazing!

There has been a few times I have purchased from them, they have decent prices and if you buy something and its not correct they will refund your money. Nice people.

Been using this store for years. never a problem, always friendly and helpful and when i am occasionally unsure what tools i need for a project-they always say to bring back to the store what Ive mistakenly bought and theyll take it back.there will always be complaints but i am sure the satisfied silence you hear from the thousands of customers which were fine -to-pleased with their dealings with this store and its proprietors, but dont post reviews, should deafen out the odd carp from the misery-wallowing set.

I love this store. The guys are helpful and any time Ive been concerned about whether something will work out or not, theyve been accommodating and friendly. Good stock of basics and some more industrial-type stuff.

I’ve been a customer for many years. I’ve always had a good experience with them and have been able to make exchanges within reasonable items. I recommend this store because their customer service is always on point.To whomever thinks that “the customer is always right”, sorry pal, you’re not!! Certain people have unreasonable demands from stores and it’s not fair to them, especially from a small store.

Worst hardware store ever. Won’t let you return or exchange items if dissatisfied. This place has never heard of the customer is always right. I recommend you go buy from somewhere else

Totally agree with the other reviews. I bought both a drill and a pack of anchors with nails from them. The anchors didn’t work at all. I returned to the store and asked what’s going on, they said I got the wrong drill and my bf must have done it the wrong way (although he has put in the same kind of anchors in from Ikea without problem, and we got the drill from the store too). Too bad I threw away the receipt. Extremely irresponsible store:(There are multiple hardware stores in the area so def recommend others.

If I could give zero stars I would; do not waste your money here. I purchased a lamp shade thats packaging was a strip of cellophane wrapped around the shade, went home to see if it would work for my lamp and came back within 24 hrs. to return it. The guy at the desk told me that no one would buy it with the packaging the way it was - which is exactly the same way it was when I purchased it - and they wouldnt return it. People behind me in line told the cashier that they would buy it like that and that they should let me return it, but they wouldnt budge. I wish I had read the other reviews of this place before going there. With another hardware store on every other block, I certainly wont be back to this one.

This hardware store refuses to accept Locke’s purchased there that one purchased incorrectly without knowing. They refuse to refund me my money. Don’t buy door locks here. You’ll lose . Be very careful they will scam you. They have people working in the store whom appear to be undocumented. Illegal people. Watch out!!!!

Weve been shopping here for well over a year and love it. Service is fast and reliable. Only once did they not have something we needed. Helpful and understanding in what they do.

Great family-owned neighborhood hardware store. They added a downstairs last year so there is a lot of choice - youre bound to find what you need. Staff and owners have always been attentive and knowledgable.

Refused to take back an item I had purchased two hours earlier. Item (which came in an unsealed cardboard box) had previously been opened by another customer (box was slightly ajar) but I didn’t think to reject it at that time, as it seemed to be in perfect condition. When I learned the item was not suitable for my purposes I brought it right back without having used it or damaged it in any way. I had the original store receipt indicating same day purchase. The clerk essentially implied I was lying about not having used it even though the screws and other hardware were still sealed in cellophane. Incredibly bad experience. A day later when I attempted to drop the item off while informing them I planned to stop payment through my credit card they reluctantly gave me store credit. Very, very bad experience.

Bottom line: they do not care about customer loyalty or customer service, shop elsewhere and skip the attitude.Ive shopped here quite a bit over the last 8 years, despite significantly overpriced hardware, because it is conveniently close. after 2 recent incidents, I will never, ever give them my money again.1. bought a door weather-stripping kit that had an open package. asked clerk about it, he said its all there. Was wrong size so I came back 4 gourds later to exchange it for correct size. Same clerk said we do not accept open packages for return...2. bought some minwax stain and poly. returned the next day to exchange unopened cans for different color. clerk said we dont do paint returns. I reminded him that this is stain, not mixed paint. he said no returns. I asked why he didnt tell me at the point of purchase. he said you didnt ask…So, I dont need this big-box BS attitude from a family owned store. Im spending my money at Iglarsh up the street and I recommend you do as well.With this type of customer interactions they are going to drive themselves out of business, and frankly I hope they do.

Its fine -- basic, unspectacular service, gets the job done. Cluttered and somewhat overpriced, like most hardware stores in Manhattan.

This place sucks. They wouldnt let me return unused plexi glass after only one day even with receipt. Unfriendly, unhelpful, not a good neighborhood feel at all.

Selection is excellent for all projects apartment related.

Awful customer service. Their business model is to make up an excuse to never accept a return.

Sells cheap goods and refuses all returns, even of unopened merchandise the same day.

Store refuses to take wrong sized bulbs back even 15 minutes after purchase.

Do not go to this place. Been to this place for duplicating the key. The duplicated key did not work and had to go back again to get a new one. The fee is also expensive.

They are the worst hardware store in Broadway do not go there!
