We live around the corner and used to enjoy their offerings. We lost mobility and can no longer walk there. They have no kind of delivery option so we can no longer order from them, ADHD unfriendly so shame on them. From some other reviews it appears the management caters to upscale snobs.
This one cashier is so rude,I asked her for a mask so I can purchase something to eat, she said to why you dont have one and next time have your own, it was because Im a black American. She gave a white women one with no problem. I had to tell about self.
Food is good, but The scrimination of not taking EB T card is unbelievable, like NOOOOO WE DONT TAKE THE CARD HERE NEVER, WAS SO PAINFUL TO HEAR WHEN YOU LOST INCOME FOR 5 MONTHS AND WAS KIND OF Force to get the card to Survive until you went back to work
By my lunch there good food.
A little bit expensive compared to other grocery stores nearby, but they have more options and add-on ingredients for cooking Asian cuisines. It’s a place we come here to buy ingredients when we are cooking and realizing we’re missing important things necessary in my cooking such as onions, tomatoes, potatoes, carrots, milk, eggs. Otherwise, I wouldn’t stop at this place frequently to buy stuff because there are better grocery stores nearby that sell same things with cheaper prices. Many of their milk cartons are inflated sometimes, which made me hesitant to choose these because it means that these are not that fresh and well-stored (my guess is that the temperature in transportation or storage was not consistent for the milk and they were somehow exposed to higher temperature. This is what my mom told me about how to choose a fresh milk carton.)
Glad to see this this is still in business, nice selection of interesting unusual dids and regular staples.
I am a frequent customer at Gracefully. In fact, I just returned from a shopping spree at Gracefully. I love it!
I love this laundry mat, Eddie and Lynn are both awsome, its never crowded lots of washers and dryers very spacious and very clean
Prices are a bit high, as with any NYC grocery. Has a nice deli section, they make good sandwiches for breakfast and lunch. Pretty good selection of everything, but they dont carry a lot of common brand names you see in larger supermatkets.
Great food selection.
Its best to go right at lunch when they put out the food. Lots of sesame oil flavors. I love the roasted brussel sprout salad and the cucumber salad.
Easy shopping experience, eclectic selection.
I used to come here alot but that changed today. I walked in there grabbed a box of brown sugar and a apple cinnamon coffee cake. I wait in line and pay for my food. The cashier asked me if I wanted a receipt. I said no thank you. I normally dont get a recipet there if I purchase consumables. 10 mins later I get back to my job and Im about to eat the coffee cake and I notice mold growing all over the 1 side. So I drive back to store and go to the counter. The skinny Asian lady tells me to go wait in the line (only 1 person in line) OK no problem. I wait and then its my turn so I go up to the counter and show her the coffee cake (untouched in their packaging) and she examines it and ask me if I have a receipt. I told her no I just bought it 10mins ago and I I declined a receipt. They told me they couldnt give me cash and I had to go pick something else out in store for store credit. The one cashier comes over and starts looking at the coffee cakes and says oh look this one is still good. I say no I dont want that . I grabbed 3 other coffee cakes that all had mold and put tgen on the counter. I asked to speak with a manager and then she told me to come to the register and gave me back my refund in cash.Gracefully you couldve just gave me my money (cash) back in the first place!!! I tried to go in there quietly and handle it but you guys decided to aggravate me instead. For now on dont give the option of a receipt, just give it to everyone since you guys want to move like that when theres an issue!!! If you questioned when I purchased it; check your cameras! Check your register log!!! You wouldve saw that I just bought it like 15mins prior.Ill make sure that everyone that works for my company knows about this situation and I will.make sure that I encourage everyone to shop elsewhere.
Our go-to for fresh produce,, Chinese and Japanese ingredients, and healthy snacks.
Great store. Huge selection of gourmet and organic products! A bit pricey
Great selection of groceries and wonderfully convenient if you live nearby. Fresh high quality greens and herbs like coriander, mint, basil and lemongrass. Excellent variety of all kinds of foodstuffs from Europe and Asia. Very good brands.
This is a nice pit stop if youre in the area. Fresh produce and lots of gluten free foods available. Given the neighborhood though, its a tad more expensive. Fresh meat selection is minimal- think of this as a high end extra large size corner market.
Good store clean well run and nice selection of special groceries but also quite expensive. Fresh veggies section is small but good quality.
Great Muffins and fruit!
I like this place and understand they have to close earlier but when it says 5pm and we are not let in 10 minutes before it makes it difficult to organize our lives. So at what time are you closing now? Thanks a lot for being there in these difficult times
Expensive, but always has the things you cant find in other stores. High quality stuff, nice staff, always clean and well kept
A local grocery store thats convenient for the locals that don’t want to travel far to the actual grocery store. This place is way too overpriced and so small to get around. Cannot believe during covid that they would try to squeeze as many people to come in and out to buy groceries. It was disturbing and I hope this place tries to limit the people coming in. The produce are a hit or a miss at times. Either its really fresh or sketchy. There’s not much of a meat selection and I don’t find this to be fresh either. When I come here, I feel like I burned my wallet and it’s not worth it.
Love the watermelon
We live in Peter Cooper and find ourselves moseying up and down 1st Avenue...often. At the end of a long, hard day of being engulfed and (sometimes) overwhelmed by the NYC grind, it is just superb to have zip into Gracefully and grab some fresh produce. Friendly staff, opera on the overhead speakers....perfect!
This place is pretty awful. Saying it is overpriced is an understatement. Total rip off. Service is pretty bad too. They are typically out of tofu for the vegetarian sandwiches at the deli. How can you be out of tofu all day so frequently? It is so easy to get tofu and you are a grocery store? Deli guys are nice, I’m sure it is not their fault, but nevertheless this place sucks
Great its a wonderful market, for lil things
I shop from multiple markets - most of which are hit or miss regarding freshness and edibility. But Gracefully has not once disappointed. If you’re anything like me and appreciate a sense of consistency (in this case consistently high quality) then you’ll enjoy shopping here.First the produce: it is always fresh with a longer than average shelf life when compared to the produce in the neighborhood.Next is the sushi: it is made daily in-house, it’s decent but certainly not restaurant quality, but it’ll pass for a quick bite. Then the dairy section: it is always stocked and has all necessities and even some rarer items. The salad bar is always delicious! And the heart of the market is the Asian-food section. Here you’ll be able to go home equipped to make everything from Pad Thai to fried rice and more! I recommend you give this place a try.
Very polite staff. Wonderful selections.
The hot/cold food bar is pretty tasty and they dont oversalt. The fresh salad station is full of fresh produce thats never made me ill. Their prices in the rest of the grocery store are much higher, as other reviewers have noted. Theyre good for the quick fix, with quality prepared foods, but can get expensive if you go there every day.
Impressive stock of raw and cooked food. I didnt spend that much time but I did notice that I could get the ice cream of the same size for 2 dollars less at a brooklyn bodega.
Nice food items but to pricey!
Prepared foods are fine, but the price gouging they do on most all other groceries is pretty shameful. $3 for a single avocado, $6 for a jar of tomato sauce, and $9 for some of the worst frozen meatballs Ive had in my entire life.Save your money, go to Target right around the corner.
Nice store. Hot salad barWish they would post a daily menu on a website
Terrific selection, clean and efficient. Prices slightly higher but quality foods abound.VJC
I would have given them a higher rating, but they dont let sandwich counter customers use their bathroom, citing it is only for employees. I travel an hour to drop my kid off at school nearby in the morning, and am in need of facilities and a place to eat breakfast before heading to work. The sandwich was good, but Ill look elsewhere.
I was followed around this cramped store by a couple of workers here. The food looked sort of fresh but you can find better prices ANYWHERE. They have the same produce as whole foods and Ive seen it cheaper.
Somewhat pricey grocery store with a good selection of specialty foods. Excellent bakery section. Note that it closes at 10:00 pm and its NOT24/7!
Good produce, good selection of items for a small store, but not the best meat selection (and no in store butcher)
Good place to find things and not ad in the price.
Excellent sandwich selection 😎👍
Being a resident of Stuyvesant Town my wife and I have been regular customers, she likes the breads, I like the beers and a great selection of foods. But the other night I left the store disappointed no one would take the time to cut 1/4 Lb. of cheese. It was explained to me there were cut pieces already wrapped in plastic wrap weighed and priced if every piece was heavier than what I wanted that was Too Bad on one in the store was allowed to cut 1/4 pound of Parmesan Cheese for a regular customer including the manager who refused. I feel hurt that happened as I was coming home from the gym 7 PM knowing my wife was making spaghetti and meatballs and was not able to buy 1/4 pound of cheese for our dinner in our neighborhood store.
Fresh food clean store reasonable prices
This is my go-to grocery store. Kind of unbelievable how much stuff they can pack in here. I love that they play classical music, it makes me feel like Im shopping for groceries in a cultured and refined environment haha. Great selection of natural and organic foods... this is not a Gristedes. However unlike a lot of grocery stores that sell organic stuff, its not so hippie that they dont carry those other things you really NEED (like plastic wrap or whatever). There is a deli counter where you can get decent sandwiches and a steam table with hot takeaway food. The meat selection is a little thin but they have all the basics. Love this place!
Always have fresh fruits
The store itself is convenient. The staff is very friendly. The quality of food is great. Prices are a little on the higher side.
A big wow for me. They sell MOLD GINGERS. I only put the ginger in the fridge for one night, and when I cut it it’s blue inside. I checked online, and the only possible explanation other than mold is a special kind of ginger that’s from Hawaii. Hawaii gingers are supposed to have a blue ring inside. However, when I asked them in store, the ginger is not from Hawaii. Besides, the employees are extremely rude and dismissive. “Just give her the refund of the ginger”. No sir, I don’t need your damn 84 cents. You should never sell mold things in your store, end of story.
Many things are entirely overpriced, But they have a great deli counter, pastry and coffee bar. I go in regularly for these things and the ppl are pleasant.Went in today at 5pm (later than normal for me) for coffee, and there is no coffee of any kind. I asked if they stopped making it at this time and she just shrugged and said I guess so. Ordered a bacon, egg n chez sandwich, supposed to be $4, they charged me 5. I noticed it was wrong at the cash she just shrugged and said ‘that’s what the label says,’ I said yes they made a mistake, it’s a BEC and that’s $4 on the menu right there. She Had no desire to fix it, and I said fine because I didn’t want to argue for $1 and didn’t have time to sand in line again at the deli to fix it myself. Then I get home and discover the cappuccino muffin is actually Banana, but was in the Cappuccino section. What a bust. Won’t be going back any time soon. Too many other places to go in this neighborhood for this kind of thing.
Nice Neighborhood place For Snacks, Sandwiches and all your other Needs.
Pretty good but a bit overprice.
Way over-priced, but youll get good food here. You pay for the convenience of shopping close to your Stuy Town apartment when you go here.
Overall the food taste great but the attitude that comes from some of the employees [particularly the Spanish guy with glasses] it makes getting your food unsettling which makes not going back a very easy decision. Never get food from people with atittudes. Youll never know what was done to ya food. Only can imagine
Good products but know that you will pay a lot. Rather a back up plan
Great selection of healthy and tasty food. More expensive than regular grocery stores. Friendly cooks make sushi and sandwiches.
Very convenient for those who live in the area, but its priced higher than surrounding grocery stores.
Bought whole grain tortillas which were moldy. Took them back for replacement and was told I had to pay 50c more to get a replacement of another, non moldy brain. No excuse. No manager to talk to. Not impressed.Next time elsewhere.
Love the food and the big selection they have every day, salads are too fresh made and the soup of the day is awesome!
Good Sandwiches, decent priced and good quality groceries. Hours aren’t great.
The do NOT enforce wearing masks in the store.
Great BLT sandwich.
Big grocery store! Good food average price
Great Lil store with some amazing finds and a great staff
Extremely expensive and even 6 packs of beer have the bottles priced individually. I didnt realize until I got home that I spent 18$ on what would have been 8 someplace else. Each bottle marked 2.89$ Produce priced more than the green market. Not a good value unless youre looking for gourmet mayonnaise!
There staff are not friendly and prices are to high but food and sandwiches are good
Great sandwiches and prepared good. Good selection of other food but definitely more expensive than other stores.
Great sandwiches made to order or pre-made.
I dont mind paying more for good quality but some of their prices are just robbery. $6 for 5 slices of American cheese?
Im here everyday!
Gods food clean restaurant. Friendly personal.
Very good place it has a variety of good food specially a salad bar and hot buffet price ok very clean service on point.
Great store, quality product and very very clean. Prices are on par, so this is our go-to store
Great local grocery with quality fruits and vegetables
Great chicken Caesar wraps.
Clean and yummy foods and friendly staff
Very expensive and very limited choices on meat.
Hilariously overpriced, wildly long lines. Pass unless youre desperate.
Nice Natural and organic food store
Good healthy food
Great sandwiches.a little pricey
Incredible expensive!!! never see so expensive food in my life! 8 dollars for butter? U are crazy!
Great selection but pricy
Very organized, clean and expensive supermarket
Really good sandwiches and for a good price.
Never heard this place never been there
Adverb: the store
Good choice of organic products.
Great quality produce and healthy selections, but a bit overpriced.
Its labeled as a 24/7 place, but its closed
Good food, high prices
A little expensive, but good products available.
Large selection of hit food and groceries
Great healthy spot
Expensive, but great place to go for food emergencies
Great food selection but very expensive.
