This whole foods as well organized easy to find everything. It’s amazing it’s in the middle of the city and it’s better than some Whole Foods that are not in such a populated place. I got a whole pizza there it was great. You can’t beat the price of Whole Foods. You get great quality food for a decent price. I would have to say it’s some of the best grocery food. I was told once that Whole Foods means whole paycheck but I don’t see it that way
I was amazed at the selection of prepared food and lots of healthier options throughout the store. (Yay for non dairy yogurt!!). Yeah its a bit pricey but where else ya gonna go? So yes, very crowded. The reason for 4 stars is because the only person who we interact with, the cashier, was the far opposite side of friendly. Civil would be fine enough. And the reusable bags sign clearly said $1.99 but rang up as $14.99. I showed her the sign and she threw it away. But my bags were already packed so....Alright, Ill just go.
I use to go to a Whole Foods and get great customer service- not this morning- not one person in the store was even interested in helping especially the check out help. When I asked for help at the self check out- 3 representatives refused to help- will never shop at this location again
I couldn’t give it 5 stars because their check-out lines are ridiculous. Meaning people could walk up behind you, get in another line, and check-out before you. Not to mention how long they can be at times. However, their produce, meats and cheeses are always fresh and delicious. They rarely run out of anything, except ground turkey, and the floor staff is pretty good at knowing exactly where an item you’re looking for is located.
The place got everything and have all the good health foods. The bakery and hot food got ample choices to select. I would advise to carry your own bags.
Wow, massive variety of products - you’ll find anything your soul wishes. Also incredible quality and great service. Thr first thing you’ll see is a beautiful collection of flowers and plants. Their hot foods section looks incredible too (see pictures attached). In a super convient location too. It can get too crowded though and prices are somewhat expensive.
A fantastic selection of both organic and non-organic fruits and vegetables. People who are friendly. As well as flowers. While youre here, enjoy your family, friends, and flowers. Tomorrow is not guaranteed. Thank you very much.
Love Whole Foods because their fruits and veggies are so fresh! Im not a huge fan of how congested it is with people at Columbus Circle. Check out line may take some time and you have to navigate around the store in and out of smaller spaces. Love their fruit though😍
The lines here on a Saturday are outrageous! I had 2 items(Pluots & Peaches) ask a worker if there was a 10 items or less line, she said no only to walk away an hear and see her send 2 people to a cashier taking customers with a few items...very upsetting! Ill still shop at Whole Foods but I wish the Saturday afternoon line moved faster
Friendly staff and great quality with good prices as an Amazon Prime member. With a lot of the deals and sales, its worth it to check the app to see what is on sale or discounted that week. The new discounts start on Wed and last about a week. Fresh produce and always a deal with the yogurt. I love buying their healthier snacking options like Cauliflower chips, and the chicken chips. Their bakery and already prepared food is good too. They also have lockers for returns to amazon which comes in handy for drop off. Often times, its very, very crowded so dont come during peak times.
This location is now once again my favorite Whole Foods to shop in. They have a larger selection of vegan items. Plus they never seem to run out of my favorite items. Since Covid I can breeze in and out the store. They are selling a 6 foot holiday tree in a bag. I don’t recall seeing this item ever in the store before.
The staff is always friendly. The store us always clean. It a nice place to grab something quick.
I love this whole foods. Huge selection. Friendly staff. Love the hot food bar. The only thing I dont really recommend in the hot food bar is the pizza. It’s not up to par for me. Lots of space to sit and eat.
I usually shop in store, but to avoid as many people as possible I did in store pick up via Amazon. I checked in via the app, mind you the sign for pickup is small and no where really designated to wait. The pickup person was very sweet and provided me as many bags as I needed. I noticed I had a lot of bags... And I opened them to observe what was in them. Not the right items... When I asked I was told I would have to return my items online. I was confused. So I head up the escalators to find my pies were right side up in the bag!!!! I was calm. I went back to the customer service desk. The young lady said that I had to return the pies online and repurchase in store. I made mention that they were packaged incorrectly again. A gentlemen stepped in and took the pies and said he would return. Between a screaming homeless person and maneuvering between exiting customers I waited patiently. The gentlemen returned with my pies, in tact. I was so thrilled. I then showed him my cookie debacle. He kindly asked me to show him the description and he and a young lady replaced the items. I am grateful that they worked as a team. I asked what the process was, and he explained that pickup is a work in progress. I explained that I know that challenge. The only thing I would suggest that in training all staff know how online pickup works and packing procedures be a priority. Other Than that I am a happy camper!!!
When Im in the Columbus Circle area, whole foods is a must stop. I search for their Mini Blueberry pound cakes. 8 pack $6.99. this location always have them. They always have delicious cooked shrimp on sale, $ 9.99 a pound. I explore the Olive bar. This trip was a sweet tooth, -- eye connection. The Halloween cup cakes are just adorable.
A very crowded store! However excellent customer service and well stocked with options. I will say this, over 1000 customers were there shopping on a Wednesday evening, I can only imagine what the weekend looks like.
OK, it can be busy, crowded... It is in the center of New York.On the plus: variety of products. You would think they are in every Whole Foods store the same - nope, even in nearby, other Manhattan location you will not find what you can find here.On the minus: sometimes there is disproportionally big difference in serving speed at register lines. It is frustrating watching shoppers in other lines go so fast while standing in another with almost no progress.
I was shocked!! I went to buy a prepared meal and on a whim said to an assistant that I assumed the chicken was organic. I was told that NONE of the warm food is organic nor the meals at the counters!!What has changed here? I’m a longterm fan of WF - always an example for me of how organic food should be presented and sold. I can remember when non-organic food was labeled prominently as such.
The food was good but the staff must be underpaid or treated badly in some manner. All of them were unresponsive, annoyed to be asked a question and borderline rude to very rude including the customer service guy.
This whole foods store is always fully stocked. Very friendly staff. The only issue is that is always super crowded. The lines to pay are very long.
I didnt shop in Whole Foods this time, but I do frequently go in there and its ok. They are extremely expensive but if you can afford to pay those prices then do so.
Went into the hot food bar and got chicken rice and asparagus. I also picked up a can of seltzer.By the time I got through the line (25 minutes) the food was cold and the seltzer was warm. The chicken was dry and tough and had clearly sat out for several hours.Very disappointed as this used to be a good place to get hot food. 😒
What a selection. Of course the price matches but the fresh food fresh food and the variety its fantastic!
Amazing awesome place to buy fresh vegetables and organic food. They have a great selection in every section. They also have a supplement section. Fresh fish and meat. Sushi bar and deli section. It takes more than 30 mins just to look around. We love to even hang out because of the amazing feel. They have small restaurants inside.
The self checkout could hardly be worse in terms of being a covid spreader--a regular petrie dish. Just horrible.
This whole foods location is one of the busiest Ive ever seen. The crowds are huge for the size of the place. Although, its a really large store. Crowds can be frustrating at this location especially around the holidays. Be prepared to wait in line for any check out. This location could use more working cashiers at the really busy time. This is the only area where I think they drop the ball. Considering prepared food, which is always delicious, shopping, flowers and deliveries... They get alot done under stressful circumstances.Always fresh and always delicious.Delivery available.Handicapped accessible.
If youre entering Central Park from south, this place is great for gathering all the groceries you can think of for having the perfect picnic! A big, Very-well organized supermarket, in which you can also found packaged cooked food, sandwiches, beers and what not.
Everything you expect from a Whole Foods. Better to go in final hour of store hours.
Staff in pastry and bread dept..not helpful on 3 visits
Sometimes the staff is feeling good thinking they are better than others but I do enjoy the quality of the whole foods.
Organic peanut butter is always out of stock here. Seems like a very easy problem to fix with software
Always a massive queue at the checkout these days. Weekends, weekday evenings. Get more people on the checkout ! Put some self checkout. Basic stuff whole foods!
A supermarket with spacious layout, good assortments, but subpar freshness for the cut flowers and very chaotic and unorganized check-out lines. Wilted flowers remained putting out for sale. The screen of calling number is not properly aligned with check-out lines. So many confused customers slow down the check-out speed and the single dispatcher is not helpful for so many lines spreading far apart.
Many locations, always fresh food. Love the variety of food available. My favorites are the seafood, grains, vegetables, cheeses, and sushi! Oh, how could I forget their soups!!! I love eating them for lunch! Their delivery via Amazon is also great and convenient, especially during these trying times! Staff and customer service are always courteous and helpful. Love, too, their tote bags! Thank you, Whole Foods!
Wonderful variety of cheese, fruits & veggies(especially micro arugula).
Whole Foods is my goto market for groceries. They have the widest variety of organic foods
Worst managed and staffed location that I’ve ever been at. Half of the registered were not staffed, cashiers are extremely slow and ineffective. It took John 20 minutes to ring up one cart. Shift manager in red vest did not take ANY action to address the issue. Took 55 minutes to check out around 8pm on 8/17. 11 items + line barely moved.Just unacceptable.
Great selections for takeout and grocery shopping. Dining-balcony isnt open yet.
Nice & spacious. Great selection of flowers, prepared foods & items in general. Lots of caring workers to assist, when needed.
Best place to buy organic food.
A good place for bagels at $1 each
Brand variety has greatly decreased at this store over the past couple years. 365 brand is now the dominate (sometimes only) brand in some categories. It has become difficult to find consistent high quality products at this store.
Went in to buy a few items. Loved that all carts are wiped down as they are returned. So I immediately had a sanitized cart. Found all the items I needed. Had a speedy checkout. Very efficient checkout out system ( cash only & card only lines). Friendly cashier. Greeted me & asked if I had found everything. Would highly recommend Whole Foods at Columbus Circle.
The fish guy was amazing. Cheese selection always great. But -- i HATE the baguettes at Whole Foods. They are like trying to eat burned rocks. Go to Paris Baguette a couple blocks away.
Great place to shop. Convenient & has everything you want in a neighborhood grocery store.
The longest lines ever. And the system to get to a register is dysfunctional at best. Order delivery instead.
The cashiers are the best when the lines are long they get you off the lines quickly
Beautiful assortment of flowers here! The cheese section is also on point!
Tone of choice of yummy food for a visitor with kids like me, with sitting!
Nice, lots of quality choices for carnivores, vegetarians like me, and vegans. Starting to come back to normal too.
The merchandise is of good quality, the store is magnificent, and the staff is polite and supportive. Furthermore, the costs are all the same. As a consequence, your appearance here has been a foregone conclusion!
So crowded and very well organized!
Great selection of prepared foods, fish, meat, deli, amd bakery. This store gets very crowded. Went on Sunday at 4pm and it was a mad house. Covid spacing is at the registers and a nice plastic partition between the shopper and cashier. However, all the departments like produce were chaos with people everywhere.
Pros: Excellent selection, constantly updated shelves, good salesCons: Long checkout lanes, not as big as other whole foods
Fresh products, huge store, great location and wonderful service.Items are constantly restocked so they are rarely out of stock. Been shopping in person and online from this store for quite some time now and always had a great experience!
They let too many people in today, nobody was wiping the cart handles, and nobody was enforcing social distancing on the checkout lines. I came home and promptly took a shower. YIKES.
I go to school right next to this Whole Foods. I come here often to eat sushi at genii sushi bars. It is right at the left when you enter the market. I always get miso soup with California rolls. It is always good and fresh and the sushi chef is kind. You can easily eat at the bar and pay at the bar without going through the long registers. Sushi is always freshly made on the spot!! Always good pizza as well!! Right on the right of the sushi place. Reaaaay good pizza!!We personally haven’t grocery shopped here but Barbara D has! She likes everything. It’s always busy since it is located at Columbus circle but never toooo crowded because the halls are wide. Good food section ranging from strawberries to broccolis.
The price for food is really expensive, and there are lots of people around. But the selection and varieties of food sold here is amazing! There is also a section to buy salads / different types of food and put them on a container to-go.
$20 for chicken salad, mushroom soup & chicken flatbread. Very busy with long lines to checkout pay.
Charged for hot water, even though I supplied my own cup. Finally someone makes Starbucks looks good. Also the bathroom is never ever clean at any point during the day. Always.
One of the best wholefoods ever. Great quality and stocked up all the time. Checkout line is fast!
Went here a week ago and had dinner form the self serve I consume some mashed potato pasta and kansas beef with some orange juice. During the night I vomited and had diarrhea threw up my whole dinner, after that I couldnt eat for two days. I do believe that was something in that food most likely in the beef. Will never go here again every time I look at a Whole Foods now I want to vomit. Here is a picture of that dinner makes me want to barf looking at it.
Well managed, kept clean! You’re told to wait in line keeping the 6ft distance from others.
Not enough cashiers. Lines have gotten out of control
This is the Mouses store eating all your fresh food
Columbus Circles Whole Foods Market is incredible, even from other WFM branches. Its on a basement but is spacious, with a large selection of food and styles. Fresh veggies, meat, fruits. A lot of own made dishes, cold and hot. At noon it is usually crowsded, but it has also too many registers that checkout is, although, fast. Spectacular!
Even on a busy Friday night the store is stocked. Its fairly priced with alot of options. Ill be back soon.
This location was such a surprise, and it is really great! The prepared foods, the layout, the variety, and the price, clicked every box.
Absolutely love this Whole Foods location @ Columbus Circle. As far as dining goes they have everything you could possibly dream of including international desserts.Namely one of my favorite tiramisu. And the drinks are spectacular. 💜💜💜Visited again today 05/20/18 and as usual outstanding buffet both hot & cold.Especially cold tortellini antipasto tricolored.then hung out at the bar. Chopstickening the Ramen noodle soup 😊😊😊Like 👍👍👍
I want to acknowledge that Liz from the supplements department was outstanding in helping me find and get all the supplements i needed worth $577 dollars. She knows very well the entire department and is very attentive and caring for customers. I highly recommend her for any questions regarding supplements or anything else on that department whole body care. Thanks a millions Liz!
I do have lunch here almost every day. Today this cashier was really disrespectful, checking the bill that we gave to pay (because we paid in cash) for 5 minutes. What’s going on with her, sorry but I’ll claim directly to the customer service.
Ok selection, but the check out is idiotic. Plus the cashiers let some people cut the lines. Avoid if you can. Actually, just avoid
Holy cow.....this is quite the store. Great food at high prices, but worth the cost and the wait.
Delicious, not crowded.
Favorite Joes....spacious and speedy. My go to spot during the pandemic and from now on......check it.....
Its Wholefoods...they have everything!
The premier grocery store in the Columbus Circle area. Always, clean, well stocked with fresh vegetables, salad ingredients, pasta, fish, meat and frozen novelties.
I have been coming here since this place was built and the employees at the checkout are consistently trash.
Ive have permanent residences in Columbus Circle & Jericho NY, so i use both shops with frequency. Whole Foods has redefined what a supermarket should be on many levels. Not all Whole Foods stores operate in the same fashion, thats understandable. To be specific for example, Bryant Park & Union Square stores fill their Cannolis with cream in advance then sit in the vitrine for x amount of time. Who does that? these two stores always have - except CC. I mentioned it to the pastry supervisor at Columbus Circle and even they were a little surprised. That is not my reason fo this review though. On more than one occasion ive had an extremely unpleasant encounter with store personnel at the Columbus Circle Whole Foods. I get it - Im not at Citarella, but you dont necessarily have to be affluent, live in this neighbourhood or even posses conferring distinction to conduct yourself as a lady or gentleman. No, this this is just not one employee having a bad day or even I.As far im concerned good business practice starts with leadership. When I asked for the store manager at the customer service desk. What seemed to be a random employee identified herself as the store manager. I ve met the actual store manager previously and it most definitely was not her. I asked her to please get a store manager. Eventually a man came out by the name of Victor. What a waste of time. Fortunately, I can order everything I need from online.I wont tolerate ratchet, not even from Whole Foods
Pricey but really worth it. Very good for lunch!
Great grocery store and spot to grab affordable lunchtime meals on the go.
Best fóods
Array of fabulous foods and other items. Amazing pricing and sales
Full of tasty food, not cheap
It’s not the largest Whole Foods market, and only one level. But the compact shopping atmosphere make me feel very warm and welcomed! The prices dropped a lot, and food is fresh and healthy!
I used to shop, maybe 80-90% of what I consume from the Whole Foods, until about a year ago, when I started to realize there are places with higher quality products in the city such as Fleishers, Leonard, or Elis Market, but I’ve been a shopper at the Whole Foods since 2004ish since college days in Boston, and still visit them frequently. I have a tremendous respect in John Mackey, who had a vision to monetize from running an all natural foods store and executed enough to make it into the international scale large company. There is no doubt in me that John Mackey contributed to the improvement of American foods scene, thank you, John, from your former shareholder till you sold the company to Amazon, which was a big disappointment, but that’s another story. This location at the Columbus Circle, arguably one of the busiest stores in the nation, if not the busiest, was my favorite among all the Whole Foods stores in the city. I say it was, because my favorite managers, Lamin (who is a shift leader at the Bryant Park location now), and Alfredo (currently at the Upper East) moved to other locations in the city around two years ago, I think, and vibes are not the same anymore, to me. It’s still busy, albeit not like pre 2007-08 busy when the line was loooong, but because the Whole Foods got great localizations by different stores, and hence each manager prob has much more freedom for decision making than the conventional supermarkets, good leaders leaving replaced by not as good ones is what I am prob smelling. This is my problem with the Whole Foods; very inconsistent customer services. Some are great, and willing to do things for their customers over their job responsibilities. Over years, I get to know plenty of those in the city represented by Lamin and Alfredo. Unfortunately, there are those who are not so much like them at all, not even close, even at the manager levels. I would like them to remember what John Mackey once described shopping at the Whole Foods is an experience. If I remember, he was saying that the Whole Foods is a place where people come to enjoy shopping as opposed to once a week mandatory obligation like boring laundry. Admittedly, the Columbus Circle store is large, and proportionately requires more team members than the competitors in the area such as Citarella, but if you do not want to get eaten by the competition, why not make sure that all of your team members act by Mackey’s statement, are you contributing to your customers’ experience?I liked their bar before, with a great selection of local drafts, and great priced bar foods, obv house made, including chicken caesar salad, flatbread, and nachos at very reasonable prices (perhaps ½ of regular New York bar prices),,, though now the old bar foods menu have been replaced by Asian things,, but I heard the bar is actually doing better,, good for them.On the plus side, Mike from the meat department is very knowledgeable. For their beefs, I think those from Pineland Farm is highest quality (there are other contracted farms as far as I am aware, such as Mayas Farm).I would have given 4 stars back in the days when good leaders were around, currently, 2-2.5 stars is good enough.
Ok to shop for what you need but I dont trust the cooked food bad experience very bad.
Clean, very organized and the lines move quickly. Love it there
Not bad at all! Plus I found goat milk!
