Amazing!!! I ordered a birthday gift online for my mom yesterday morning, and it was at my doorstep today. I was so excited that I gave it to her early, and she is so happy! New York Biltong has all of her favorite treats from back home (Cape Town) and the spicy droerwors is VERY fresh and exactly how she likes it. We have both tried a few different places that ship to us in PA, and I think we found “the one”.If you are a homesick South African, this is *the* place to order from. I hope the online ordering stays after the pandemic or else I might have to make the 3+ hour drive to NYC more often.Also, I did *NOT* receive any short dated or expired product. I have had issues in the past from other stores.

South African food is surprisingly hard to find in New York. Even if you’ve been seeking it out over the years, you can probably count on one hand the places where you’ve successfully located it: Madiba in Brooklyn, Braai in Midtown, Jonty Jacobs, Kaia Wine Bar (still serving the UES thankfully), Brooklyn Biltong, and maybe one or two other vendors. It’s pretty sad that the first 3 are now gone.Enter New York Biltong, which successfully brings back to the area what was lost when Jonty Jacobs closed. One of my favorite parts of South African cuisine is the meat—from fragrantly spiced boerewors to chewy biltong—and it’s great to have a spot where you can just stroll in and pick whatever is catching your eye. High-quality meat is on offer (including grass-fed), and when ordering biltong you’ll have your choice of lean or fatty; wet or dry; and slab, slice, or chunk.I eagerly picked up some spicy droëwors, biltong slices, and boerewors for later; still need to cook up the boerewors but am completely satisfied with everything else.There’s also a solid selection of grocery offerings—think rooibos tea, classic candies, Nando’s sauce, Ouma rusks, frozen meat pies, and Appletiser.Highly recommended for anyone seeking out South African flavors, a delightful and unique brick-and-mortar experience, or the perfect high-protein nosh.

For an American attempt at biltong and droewors, it’s excellent. You won’t get what you grew up with but it’s rather quite good

Absolutely horrible ! I’m disappointed!!! Everything I bought was expired and old !!! The chocolate was turning grey. Disgusting! I spent over $50 ! How do I get a refund? I don’t even live in New York ! I made a special trip and this was what I got 🤢

My wife is from SACT. The biltong was Really good and fresh and she also picked up other items that are hard to find. We were their on Vacation. A+

The biltong tastes just as good as it does back in SA! It might be a tad pricey, but these goodies are definitely worth every penny when you want a taste of home.

Lekker Lekker 🇿🇦! Stumbled across NY Biltong inadvertent and so glad I did. Tried the spicy droewors and it was pretty good, think I may try the traditional next time but be sure to sample. The biltong was incredible, I picked up a nice wet piece with a little fat and I could have been back in Joburg on a Saturday morning, headed to schoolboy rugby! Incredible flavour and texture, just like home.

I was given a gift of droewors and biltong. The droewors was very good but the biltong was tasteless and moldy and I had to throw it out.
