Used this company to purchase a lab diamond for an engagement ring. Out of all the NYC lab diamond dealers, they are definitely the most organized and well priced. We spoke with almost every lab diamond retailer in the area and can confirm this. They have an online database that you can refer to with pricing and details of all the diamonds they have available. The diamond we wanted was not available at the time so we called and the sales rep Zia was able to keep an eye out for that type of diamond. He was able to secure it for us right after it was created and we just had to wait until it was certified. The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 was because we had paid for and were promised a particular diamond which was then sold. I dont think it was Zias fault in any way but more of a miscommunication with a retailer. He ended up finding us a similar diamond only 2 weeks later so even though it was a bit frustrating, we were able to get exactly what we wanted at a pretty decent price point (obviously cheaper than real diamonds, relatively cheaper than other lab diamond retailers.) I would definitely recommend them over any other lab diamond company in the US that we had spoken to, and we spoke to a lot. I also recommend working with Zia specifically as he worked very very hard to get us what we wanted, we had a difficult request.

I came to them with very specific and difficult to attain parameters for an engagement ring, and since the diamonds they had in stock werent exact, they contacted their diamond cutters to have a stone created specifically for us. Because the stone had to be cut individually, it took slightly longer than I hoped, but it was well worth the wait. I cannot say enough great things about my experience with GDC. I was a little nervous about making such a large transaction online, but the QUALITY of lab grown diamonds other competitors have is nowhere near the level of GDCs inventory. They specialize in loose diamond, so I had to get it set at a local jeweler. Until the jeweler checked the IGI certification number, he could tell that it was lab grown, and everyone was very impressed by the quality. I have been telling everyone about the pros of going with lab grown diamonds, and I really hope the market for lab grown diamonds expands in the future (without some greedy mining companies lobbying against it).
