Had a lovely time at this shaved Ice spot! The ices were flavorful and I appreciate the amount of toppings they offer. My one complaint is that they need more seating space. Theres only enough room for 3-4 parties. While we were lucky enough to have a spot, there were several people who had to eat theirs standing up.
Great sizes and flavors, would recommend if youre in the area. The overall atmosphere with the music and spacious area allows for a comfortable experience. Although it can be somewhat pricey, the different types of flavors and toppings available make up for it. Oh and they have color changing spoons!
For what they do (shaved ice), they are best that Ive had. Their ices have really good flavor with fresh toppings and excellent combinations. Yeti is a goto but they also have good specials! The watermelon creation comes in half a watermelon, pretty cool. Definately a dessert staple in east village!
Definitely one of my favorites ice cream shops go to.My very favorite is strawberry cheesecake NY style
Love the texture. Got the green tea matcha flavored ice cream with condensed milk drizzle. The green tea ice cream wasnt overly sweet, my friend who got the same called hers a little bitter but I liked it. Very generous portion. It did take a little bit to order because there was only one guy working and it takes a while to prepare.
Thats a regular sized American themed cup. Shaved vanilla ice cream, blueberries, Captain Crunch and drizzled with Peanut Butter sauce. Quite delicioso and I was able to enjoy at a table most comfortably with no crowds. The secret to these trendy popular places is hitting them as soon as they open or off hours.By the way, the regular size was $7 plus tax.Really enjoyed the experience and definitely will check them out again.
Im not sure what I expected but it wasnt bad but wasnt amazing. I had snow in California Garden Grove and it blew me out of the water for a small local place. We stopped here to try the Orange Creamsicle bc it looked cute on Instagram sitting in the orange display but upon arrival to the store, found out its not sold that way. Another Instagram vs Reality experience, sadly. I hate when places promote products that dont look like what youll actually get when you get there. We ordered one in their smallest size cup and honestly the portion is overwhelming. I shared with 3 other friends and we didnt really want to finish it. The snow tasted more like hard ice cream than actual snow and it was too much. Snow is usually light and fresh but this felt too sugary. Its ok but I dont think this is for me so I wont be stopping by again.
Super overpriced (for gods sake its just ice its not even ice cream; and $.50 for a topping when other shops are doing free unlimited??), but the tastes good. Generous indoor & outdoor seating for your conversational needs. Great alternative (depending on your preference) if you cant get into your favorite bar at night.
Very nice small ish space, you can watch them make it, staff is young and helpful, the spoons are cool and change color, and the options for toppings and flavors are good. Very tasty and great for a casual date in my opinion. Probably better to share if you get a large. Yeti tracks are great, and their Matcha flavor is nice and deep. Can get crowded at times.
This place is very interesting. The best way I can describe shaved cream (whatever that even means) is ice creams version of cotton candy. It super fluffy and just kind of dissolves in your mouth. All in all, I wouldnt say this place is better than any other ice cream place, just different. The location has a nice modern atmosphere and rentable board games which is a nice touch. The staff was very friendly and the prices were fair. Based on my experience and other reviews though, they do seem to be regularly out of stock of some amount of toppings and flavors
Snowdays shaved ice scream was new to me, i will say i loved the flavor I ordered the (yeititracks) option, with the following toppings 1. Waffle Cone 2. Marshmallows and 3. Strawberries all with some dulce de leche, for me the toppings are a must as the shaved ice cream itself will taste a bit light and it does need to be accompanied by fused flavors with the toppings.Good spot good service.
They have a really nice vegan option. The texture is very different compares to traditional ice cream and it is a refreshing alternative. I didnt give it five stars just because I wish they could have a couple more diary free options.
Tasty, unconventional ice cream. It’s shaved rather than whipped. When I visited, they were out of a lot of flavors and ingredients, but willing to offer substitutions.
Delicious shaved ice cream. My kids and I are all big fans of the green tea ice cream. They also have a nice variety of Japanese candy.. price is a little high but once in a while not bad.
Stopped in after seeing this place on The Profit and was very pleased. The texture and taste of the product was distinctive and interesting. Also it wasn’t too sweet which was great. I’ve had the shaved ice version of this dessert and the cream one is way better. It’s somewhere in between shaved ice and ice cream, without being frozen yogurt. I would like to see a topping to make it super sour though, I like how yogurt can be tart.
The staff is VERY nice! My complaint is that the dessert itself is terrible. It’s like ice-cream if you take out all the wonderful tasting creamy smoothness of it. All you are left with is airy flavorless shavings that blow everywhere the second a gust of wind blows. I was also aggravated most of the toppings would fall over the side of the cup the second I put my spoon in it. I really don’t understand why it’s so popular during the summer.
Absolutely spectacular. Warm and friendly atmosphere, the shaved cream was incredible (we tried three flavors and absolutely loved them all!), and the people there were wonderful and made us feel so welcome. Great prices, great selection - one of the coolest dessert experiences ever. Highly recommend.
Love this Taiwanese dessert shop! If you’re a big dessert eater and would like something different, come here. The ice cream is a mix of a snow cone and ice cream - light, airy and sweet! The toppings are great as well and make the treat even sweeter.
Love this, isnt a heavy dessert. it was trendy but I like how the dessert actually taste.
I havent been back here since it first opened in the summer. At first glance, the store seems to be more efficiently running and there are now decorations on the wall!We stopped in after dinner, and from the outside it was so darkly lit and seemed closed. It wasnt too busy so we quickly ordered and grabbed a table. We got the original and the yeti tracks. Its definitely all about the combination of shaved ice flavor and the toppings you put on. Im still a big fan of the more traditional green tea shaved ice with red bean and mochi. The shaved ice is not your traditional Taiwanese shaved ice because its a lot more milky like ice cream. But this is the best I have found thus far in Flushing and in the city. The shaved ice cups are also super cute with a Yeti on them and their spoons change color according to temperature.A big plus because their staff has been so friendly both times I visited. But please remember to stock up on your stamp cards!
Vegan coconut ice cream, shaved to be snow-like fluffy. Dairy options for those who enjoy them! Lots of topping choices. Would give them 5 stars if they had at least one more dairy free flavor. Not into the cold stuff? Theyve got brownies and beverages too.
Easy to see right off of 10th street servicing the Lower East side and the adjoining areas of Manhattan. Parking on the Street is available but it fills up fast especially at night and on the weekends. Clean facilities. Reasonably priced. Credit cards accepted. We will most likely be going back.
If youre expecting authentic Taiwanese snow shaved ice, then this isnt it. This is a version of it though not as good.I tried two different flavors: 1. milk flavored snow ice with red bean and condensed milk, a very typical Taiwanese flavored snow ice. 2. Yeti flavored snow ice with green tea brownies and caramel. The snow ice itself is basically the consistency of snow but less fluffy. Usually Taiwanese snow shaved ice is fluffier and in layers. This one isnt like that. The taste is pretty good but Im not a big fan of the consistency...maybe because I really like the authentic Taiwanese type. They dont give you very much of the toppings so Id suggest getting more than one topping or double portion what you like. The green tea brownies were a bit disappointing. Its always sold out when I go so this time I wanted to try it. Nothing too special about it to be honest. The yeti snow ice flavor is quite good, its similar to cookies n cream.
My friend and I were in NYC the week of July 4th. We read Snowdays had the best ice cream. The reviews were correct! This place is awesomely delicious!! We wanted to go back before we came back home but did get a chance. I wish there was one in Chattanooga, TN. Best ice cream ever!!
Came here after work with 2 friends because we were craving shaved ice, this place did not disappoint!my review is solely based on having the Made in Taiwan shaved ice (matcha flavor with grass jelly and mochi). The kids size was $7 but I was satisfied splitting it with another person.(+) interior is super cute, clean and ~ instagrammable ~ (if thats what you want)(+) the snow is super soft and retains great flavor!(+) yummy toppingsOverall it was as good as shaved ice can get, mainly because of the ice flavor. Often time the ice in shaved ice is too crunchy in texture but this was so soft! definitely going back
Nice spot to try shaved ice. They have a few flavors of shave ice. You can either make your own or choose from a few specials ones from the wall. The biggest size is huge and you can share with 1 or 2 people.
This is a cute place to grab a cold dessert. The different flavors are interesting and fun. There isnt a huge variety of stuff to get, but youre just going for the desserts anyway. The smallest size is still pretty big and its a tad expensive, but its worth trying.
Delicious iced deserts. Next time will avoid the yeti flavor its tasty but blue unfortunately, reminds me of all the artificial food coloring scandals from growing up in a developing country. Most of my friends who for white and brown deserts thought it tasted good too.
Tasty treats, and Ill return. Id like larger portions. They do have a great selection of rare snacks etc. Saw the Profit show where they helped this store. I recommend for others to visit.
Snowdays shaved ice is so delicious so we were so happy to find out that they had a location in flushing as well. As much as weve tried to get ourselves to try some other flavors, we always find ourselves going back to the yeti tracks which is a must try if you havent before!
Such a delicious and unique dessert for all! The shop itself is very clean with friendly and welcoming staff members. And they also have plenty of board games for guests to play with, a nice way to create an everso welcoming eatery!
The staff that assisted us during our stop in was extremely pleasant. The shaved ice was a cool experience and I am glad to now have a location that serves mochi ice cream and they have delicious flavors. After seeing the store on tv I had to stop in and Im glad it was worth it. They should however consider having two workers to increase productivity since the store filled up fast while we were being served and would seem like you would have to wait some time if it were busy, luckily we had no wait. Great experience and now my regular stop when in the area! Thanks to the worker who served us and gave us a great experience Im sorry I do not remember your name.
We really enjoyed our visit here today. The shaved cream was light, refreshing and tasted really good, and the staff were really friendly and helpful. Ovie especially was really engaging and a joy to talk to.
This is a really cute Taiwanese shaved ice shop! They have yeti themed cups and color changing spoons (changes according to how cold the spoon is). You choose your base, a syrup and pay 50 cents per topping you include. The portions are generous and nicely placed (if youre the type to snap a picture before devouring). I recommend the green tea or mango shaved ice :)
Staff was very nice and accommodating! Definitely recommend! Icy was delicious😋
The concept of the place is awesome. I got the yeti tracks with pocky and marshmallow and my BF got the cheesecake with condensed milk. He loved his and mine was pretty good. The staff was really unhappy and ruined the vibe of the place which made the experience less than great. The actual shaved ice is good but not something Id go back for. We prefer the texture of fro yo or ice cream but its a great light dessert when youre not looking for something super heavy.
Returned after a 3 year hiatus and its still delicious. The matcha brownie is delicious. The texture of the ice cream is unique and delicious!!!
Im sorry it closed very nice place to to go get some snow days 😣
Good place to try different ice cream than any other place, with good taste, I will visit again
The shaved ice was super soft and melted quickly but what made it great was the toppings. I went with the grass jelly, peanut butter sauce, condensed milk, captain crunch, with pocky sticks. It was a great combo and for a regular was quite big but didnt really fill my stomach for dessert. Be careful with each additional topping as it adds up in price. Nice specialty dessert shop and it does get quite crowded in the after dinner late night crowd timetable. Would go again though as it is a great specialty item shop that you dont see too often.
Visited this show the week of The Profit episode release. Product was different. Pretty neat. I had the flavor yeti tracks.
Airy delightfulness. Adequate seating. Green tea/blueberry/mocha/condensed milk combo was awesomely refreshing! But next time Ill get just the snow cream and maybe one topping so other flavored wont overwhelm it.
A great place for a refreshing dessert, for something that is a bit more unique and fun than just plain ice cream. Customizing your dessert can take some time, so there are several standardized selections on the menu board you can simply pick from. The color-changing plastic spoons are a nice unexpected surprise.
Another shaved-ice shop in NYC! This reminds me of Taipeis famous Ice Monster, but with more variety. The creamy shaved ice is topped with your choice of toppings, or you can go with a preset option. Very satisfying, and even on a cold winter night, the shop was packed! Not super cheap, but comparable with NYC dessert options. Theres not much seating available, but turnover is quick.
It was great until they renovated. They changed the menu and recipe. Unsure if the other location has changed too but I would try the one in the West village instead now.
This is some next level shaved ice! I love the idea too! Yeti arts are super cute around the store. Prices are very reasonable and portions are fairly large. The New Yorka is my all time favorite item to order when you dont want to create your own. Open very late so always a good place to go for late nights. This is a must try dessert spot! Only bummer is that free street parking is basically non-existent but there is paid parking right by.
Neat place, I like how the ice cream is shaved and all the toppings. The herbal jelly with condensed milk on green tea ice cream is my favorite. The staff is always friendly.
Great Ive cream place. Get green tea or sesame flavors as those are their best and will run out early. Has a few board game collection.
Theres just no experience like it, the best shaved ice cream in NY.
Tried it for the first time and its amazing. Great flavors (I had yeti tracks and green tea) and the grass jelly, something Ive never had before went great with it. I look forward to trying more varieties
Its a very niche thing that you can enjoy on an occasional basis. Not a everyday thing. Their service is great and the variety of customization for your shaved ice treat just adds to the experience
Went here awhile ago with my friends, I heard it was a good place but didnt know what to expect. It had great shaved ice and there was a super cute asian girl working there. The board games were a nice touch, though a little banged up. Still enjoyed beating my friends though. Would go again and 10/10 ign.
I visited here and it was a great experience. The worker there, I think his name was Justin he was really quick nice and listening. Will visit again if I see him there
Very nice and helpful. Answered questions and let us sample the sweat milk. Reasonably priced. Highly recommend.
Non-traditional shaved ice but it works. I think its marketed more towards the american palette but still pretty good! I love the staff too, super friendly
Man, do you get your moneys worth. We couldnt finish a Large between two people. They also have a couple board games, which is really cool.
Ive been here a couple of times and enjoyed the shaved ice every single time. The shaved ice is flavored so its very different from Taiwanese shaved ice. Its going to be a regular spot for me.
I love everything about this place. I come here regularly. There are always new flavors.
The dessert is fine if you like shaved flavored ice. It is too light for me... But that said I have had tastier shaved ice before too.
Went there twice but at the first time, I didn’t buy anything because their cash register didn’t work that they can’t use credit cards. Then I’m back there today to get a coconut with blueberries and Captain n crunch. I wanted to order vegan strawberry but they ran out of it. I was disappointed because I wanted a vegan option. Coconut was another option. I tried to pay for myself and my co worker but their register didn’t work again because it couldn’t connect. I had no choice but to pay with cash. I’m disappointed, so if you are planning to go there. Just bring cash because it is most likely that their register couldn’t work!! If they ran out of vegan options, best to find another place.
I happened on this spot the day they opened and Ive been a fan ever since. Shaved ice milk which taste like flavored snow. I like the green tea flavor the best although the black sesame is also quite good. Whatever combination of toppings you get, dont leave off the condensed milk and the mochi. The grass jelly is little weird for Western tastes. Doesnt really have any flavor. Apparently, its all about the texture.
Amazing guilt-free dessert! It is a little tight with the seating but amazing otherwise. I recommend the sweet milk with oreos and whipped cream!
