The cakes here are picture worthy! I ended up getting the black sesame ice cream donut. It was just as it sounds and it was not bad. The ice cream definitely had a strong black sesame taste but I wish the donut was a bit fluffier. It was kind of on the dry side

Oh my. The most beautiful and amazing cake ever!!! I wanted a beautiful and tasty cake to celebrate my 22nd birthday and they went above and beyond my expectations ! I personalized my own with the flavors matcha and fruity pebbles and it was amazing. I got the biggest size for 15-20 people and I had more than enough for everyone (10 people at my party) and I had leftovers. The delicate design of the cake was so pleasant to look at and I will be ordering from here again. The website explains everything and makes it easy to order. Also, I ordered 2 days before the birthday and had no problem at all! It’s even budget friendly since it’s a personalized cake. I also just wanna make note of the fact that the packaging of the box was amazing for transport as I was driving back to Queens with the cake. They included a little frozen thing underneath to keep the cake cold. Overall, I loved it!!!

Really good addition to Chinatown. I love the ice cream here even I dont usually get them.Space is pretty small. for 20 ppl to all be in there can doable. The counter is typical ice cream that you can ask to taste a couple.I love the fact its run by a couple of young friends and Chinatown can use some more young blood. Good job guys. Definitely instagable stuff here.I never noticed they have ice cake as well.

Chinatown ice cream and dessert scene is crazy. Another new spot opened a month ago. Fresh glazed donut stuffed with ice cream and toppings. AMAZING! Great staff and spacious place with decent amount of seats.

Good selection of gourmet flavors including some Asian flavors like ube and matcha. They have specialty waffle cones in attractive colors, but I cant really taste the flavor of the cone, plus its quite leaky, so I probably wont pay the $1.75 for the cone next time. The regular is 2 large scoops, good portion.

Been going here since they opened. I love coming back because the girls there are so nice and the flavors are amazing. Perfect balance of flavor and sweetness without being too sugary and the flavors are so unique and yummy! I loved their Cerealousy Lucky and Ube. They also recently made a lychee flavor and its so perfect. Ive tried other shows in the area and no one compares. The customer service is so good here too! Ive had the cremella, the cones and even custom ordered a birthday cake and have never been disappointed with any of them!

A small but varied selection of ice creams, with fun cones to go with. The staff were friendly and helpful, happily gave me a taste of one flavor and offered tastes of anything else if I wanted it. The shop is delightfully well air-conditioned, a fantastic respite on a hot day when you want ice cream!

I discovered this place by pure coincidence on instagram and i’m happy I did so. Open for only two weeks now, the guys at Stax have a great ice cream indeed but more importantly the doughnut they stuff they ice cream in! A super fluffy donut without a hole in the middle with two ice cream scoops to fill it, covered with a light chocolate sauce and served in a carton sleeve, the one coffee shop use to protect your fingers from the carton cup heat.

Expensive, but fairly good ice cream - the purple ube was definitely delicious. I dont think I would come here consistently just because its out of the way and expensive to boot, but it was still a nice treat, and I imagine folks walking towards Trader Joes from Chinatown would stop by and eat here.

I was looking for a good dessert and I noticed Stax ice cream catchy name and I love ice cream so I literally ran across the street into this beautiful shop.Sophie and Jaime welcomed my friends and I, like Stax Sisters having family over. Jaime helped me out with my order by explaining the order experience suggested various flavors. She even convinced me to try UBE (purple yam) flavored ice cream,I would have never tried it but it was delicious. She also recommended the glazed donut n fruity pebbles sprinkles to pair with which was the UBae. Even tho my order didnt make the 15$ minimum for debit cards, she happily made an exception and let me use my card. My friends finish eating some nasty ish, n seen what I was eating and got so excited they ordered some too. At that point the bros met with Sophie and Jaime helping them with their orders resulting in a fun experience to end a fun weekend with my homies.Definitely one of my favorite places to have dessert not just because of how rich the ice cream tasted, the hand crafted original flavors or even presentation but the atmosphere these wonderful women created during my experience was the perfect amount of chill for a Sunday afternoon.Thanks for making our day.

Great ice cream shop in Chinatown. The staffs are super friendly and the store is very chic. Love that the donut is still warm with the ice cream. I love the jasmine milk tea flavor so much that I even a got a quart size (for $18.95) to bring home to share with my family. Definitely a must try place.

Truly some of the most inefficient service I’ve ever had. They forgot my order and didn’t seem bothered by it at all when I raised the issue. The staff got really flustered by a big group’s orders and then neglected to provide service for the smaller orders behind them. People just stood around when they could have been making my ice cream order. The ice cram itself was quite delicious, but there’s stiff competition with stores just as good that can get me my order much quicker.

Love it! They have a very wide variety of not your normal icecream flavors and you can get it either in a cone or a doughnut sandwich (include one topin) I got the chocolate doughnut with Cinnamon Toast Crunch icecream and brownie bites as a topin. It was great! Plus the staff is super friendly! Definitely will come back to try other flavor.

This is an institution in NY and a must do anytime of year - treat yourself to both the quality of ice cream but also the nexus of whats happening in town - a must do for all. Dont let the line at the door frustrate you, acknowledge that it is a draw for all.

If you like ice cream then you should check this place out. I had the cornflakes ice cream and it really tasted like corn flakes they also have donuts filled with ice cream. You can have matcha ice cream in a lavender cone or lychee in a orange flavored cone . 😋😋

Cute and clean place. Enough space & sitting. A very filling dessert option. I had fruity pebbles topping on a glazed donut with fruity pebbles ice cream. Combo was too sweet for me but I sucked it up and ate it all. My boyfriend had the same topping on a non glazed donut with strawberry ice cream and that was just perfect. Ill be coming back to try the other flavors.

This has been on my “to try list” for quite some time now. I finally went there yesterday and I was not disappointed. It was a nice cute clean shop with unique flavors (at least unique to me) the ladies behind the counter were super friendly and nice, I was undecided on what to get because I wasn’t sure how it’ll taste, they offered samples of the ice cream and it was delicious. I had the ube and mocha green tea in between a glazed donut. I’ll definitely be back.

Ive been there 2 times within this week and Im so obsessed with the Strawberry Creme and Earl Grey! Probably one of the best hard ice creams Ive tasted thus far. Its so smooth, creamy, and perfectly sweetened (I dont like overly sweet ice creams). Definitely a gem in Chinatown. The store itself is aesthetic AF and I met one of the owners, she actually helped me decide on which flavors and allowed me to sample whatever flavor I wished. Pretty awesome to me. I cant wait to come back!

What makes Stax stand out from the rest of the new ice cream shops popping up? Phenomenal service and a great selection of ice cream flavors. I really like the interior of the shop as well! It’s clean, minimal, and they plants on the wall. I’m a strong believer it’s never too cold for ice cream, and they have seating that’s good for groups so that’s a plus! Must try “the weekend.” It’s cornflake bourbon ice cream in a warm glazed donut - SO GOOD!

As a lover of many teas, especially earl grey, THIS PLACE KNOWS HOW TO DRAW OUT THE MAXIMUM TEA FLAVOR!!! I first had tried earl grey at another store (V___L____), where many people had raved about the earl grey, but much to my disappointment, I tasted no tea flavor at all, only some generic creamy taste. I was once again on the hunt for genuine tea flavored desserts that would satiate my love of tea and desserts, and I have found a holy grail- Stax. I was so happy to have found it, and will definitely keep going back! Lovely flavors, great service, and ample seating!

Besides the dessert being great, the space is clean and spacious with a good amount of seats and tables to eat your food at. Definitely recommend!

I came in today because of my random craving for ice cream. The staff was very welcoming and offered me samples of the ice cream. I got a double scoop of apple butter and chocolate chip cookie dough. The ice cream was very creamy and delicious.

My family and I really enjoyed eating some delicious treats here. The offered an assortment of unique flavors that really brought some deliciousness of food in your mouth. My mom also said that it was the best ice cream she ever had. That means something. She’s really tough

One of the best ice cream spots in the city. The flavors are all extremely unique and informative staff. As delicious as the ice cream is, I was blown away by the donuts. Ive never particularly liked donuts but these elevated the flavor of the ice cream to another level.

Two words: EARL GREY!! I love love LOVE the consistency of their ice cream! The staff was so patient and friendly and reassured me to take my time to sample flavors. As an avid tea drinker, i gravitated towards their tea flavors. My favorites are the Jasmine Milk Tea & Earl Grey - YUMMMM!! Their ice cream flavors are so flavorful and good! I was told they make all the ice cream in house and that they use real tea leaves!!

The store itself feels so cozy and has an aesthetic interior, the ice cream is almost amazing as their staff. They greeted me with a warm welcome and told me everything I needed to know, they were extremely helpful since Im super picky. I recommend the earl grey and strawberry! I will definitely be back to try the rest of the flavors :) 10/10

Vida and her team did an excellent job at my daughters 3rd birthday party at Janes Carousel. Everyone loved the cremellas and ice cream flavors. The strawberry cream is super delicious. They make them from fresh strawberries! The Ube flavor was a favorite! They were professional and friendly! I would def hire them again for my next event! I highly recommend!

I never really write reviews but I have to give credit where credit is due. All their ice cream is made IN STORE! There are so many unique flavors to choose from! They recently came out with two seasonal flavors: apple butter and pumpkin spice! I highly recommend the apple butter, its so unique and perfect to combat the seasonal depression :) BONUS, the cremellas are muy gram worthy.

Workers there were extremely friendly! I was able to try different flavors and in the end, the jasmine milk tea won my heart! It tasted really similar to the drink itself, which was a pleasant surprise. I will definitely go back to satisfy my craving :)

Great jasmine flavor however way too sweet for my taste bud. Wish they would make it less sweeter the aroma of jasmine is phenomenal. Waffle cone was not as crunchy as I would like it to be.

A newly opened ice cream shop with a trendy vibe, friendly staff, and lots of potential. I came here with one friend and we shared one of their cremellas, which was essentially a donut ice cream sandwich. The one we got was half earl grey and half green tea ice cream sandwiched between a glazed donut. The donut was perfectly warm and soft and went well with the ice cream, though I did wish I could taste more of the ice cream flavors... The flavor of the donut was simply more overpowering. Next time we plan to try tasting one cup of ice cream and one donut separately.

Donut ice cream sandwiches. Literally all you need to know about what youre getting into. They do sell donuts and ice cream separately, but why would you ever do that? Its a bit pricey, but in all fairness, you shouldnt be eating these things very frequently anyway. Come whenever you feel like treating yourself.

Interestingly, Stax Ice Cream is really good with their Stax coffee. The flavor has a perfect balance to it where you can taste the en richness of the coffee but its not overwhelmingly strong.The store lighting is beautiful and the staff is friendly.This is the perfect study spot!!

The strawberry 🍓 ice cream is fantastic and is delicious inside the warm chocolate glazed donut 🍩 (the donut was superb). The staff were very kind. There was a lot of room in the store and a good number of tables (might want to add a few more though).

I finished eating at 99favors nearby and was stuffed. So I went with the ice cream cone instead of the donut. It tasted amazing. Id definitely be back to try the cremella (the donut ice cream sandwich) and the cone I ordered is cornflake bourbon with chocolate drizzle and cornflakes.

Omg this ice cream is perfection. It’s a small store with a small selection. And donuts.... do I need to say more. Their s’mores ice cream is the best and my little one loves their macaroons with his s’mores ice cream. The people behind the counter aren’t the greatest, but what they’re serving IS.... definitely worth the trip.

My friend really wanted to try this place out, omg everything we ordered its was delicious. We got glazed donuts with jasmine and villa ice cream, and just wow. We walked in the front door only to have the cashier to kick us out five seconds later. while all we were doing was looking at the menu figuring out what we will order, quietly. Im super picky with my ice creams because most of the times its either too sweet or that the texture isnt right. Passed by this place this past weekend after dinner and was lured in by the interior design. There was a huge line and all the seats were occupied so my friends and I sat outside on the bench. I got the early grey and jasmine milk tea and oh boyyyy was it good! The earl grey was so perfect and just enough steeping so that you can taste bold flavor but not to the point that you get sick of it after a few scoops. The jasmine milk tea was so heavenly and my friends loved it. I love the earl grey so much that Im back for a quart size that cost $18.95. The price is definitely on the pricey end but thats a good enough reason for me not to be eating it every night haha.

Amazing ice cream shop with a nice staff in the heart of Chinatown. They have unique ice cream flavors like ube and jasmine tea along with the conventional flavors and it tastes phenomenal. The shop itself is clean and has a lit playlist to listen to while you eat. Overall an awesome place to satisfy your ice cream craving and hang out with some friends.

Excellent ice cream shop serving mostly non traditional flavors like Fruity pebbles and Lucky charms in cones that taste like froot loops or inside of donuts. Definitely worth checking out.

Chilly/rainy day in NYC but that doesn’t stop my sweet tooth cravings. I was hesitant to try their donut ice cream sandwich (c’mon that sounds like a mouthful) but I was pleasantly surprised. I really enjoyed the combo of a hot donut with cold ice cream. The product itself was a good size and I finished one without a problem. The server recommended the strawberry creme flavor and I’m not a huge strawberry fan, but I really liked it. I ended up getting a glazed donut with strawberry creme ice cream and nilla wafers. Needless to say, I will be back.

Came here for the first time and i fell in love. I love their unique ice cream flavors such as the jasmine milk tea, earl grey, and ube. I didnt get to try their cremella - the hot pressed donut ice cream sandwich but I definitely want to try it next time.

You get all the common exotic ice cream flavors here, but its not well executed. The Jasmine milk tea tasted like all sugar with no trace of tea. Ube was fine, nothing special. The matcha green tea was super watered down. Very disappointed, especially considering the well rated reviews.

They make the ice cream/doughnut combo work really well. There are all sorts of over cream flavors to choose from like ube or chocolate. Then you get to choose what time of doughnut you want which could be plain or chocolate covered. I went here with a friend in the summer. They were pretty busy when we reached there but were able to get to us quickly and prepare our orders quickly as well. Its a small space so seating is limited. But thats ok if you wanna walk with your treat on a warm summer evening. The establishment is clean and service is great. Id come here again.

Easily one of the best ice cream shops in the lower east side! I was initially just walking by with my friend and we were attracted by their modern interior design haha. The first time i visited, i just had their ice cream but today I decided to try their cremella ice cream sandwich. Their ice cream sandwiches are made with a donut cut in half and then pressed between a machine that resembles a waffle maker. I got an unglazed Fruity Duties with condensed milk instead of the matcha drizzle and it was SO good! The consistency of their ice cream is so smooth and creamy. The fruity pebbles ice cream paired really well with the donut which was surprising. Will definitely have to hit the gym tomorrow but there are no regrets tonight
