Great selection of clothing, shoes, furniture, books, etc. Also one of their staff, Wash, was really kind to help me disassemble a lamp I had purchased to take on the train. Thanks!

I wouldve gave them a 5 Star but the lack of knowledgement, I came by at 3:PM to buy 2 long sleeve dress shirts, white & gray well the white 1 fitted since it was for Work Right now use, at 6:47PM i pass by just to switch the Extra Extra Large gray shirt Only since, for another T-shirt maybe something better i pay the diff dnt matter, but besides that, 1 of the employees there didnt hesitate to say that cant take stuff back to switch it, i couldnt do nothing with the gray shirt the white 1 was the only one that fitted me so i had it on for work, gray 1 still with tag no use, i told him respectfully he could have the shirt since it does me no use cause its oversized, i peeped how they took the shirt back ASAP, atleaat Donate the shirt Dont you dare put it back in those shelves SMH

The staff at this location are very friendly and helpful. I find the assortment of apparel in the Chelsea store more high end and fashionable than some of the other locations. The selection is extremely well curated and displayed. The windows are always very interesting...a little quirky which I like. Wonderful place to browse. Great finds.

Great place to visit and browse around in. It has a large layout span with very high ceilings. Perfect coloring and lighting to beckon you in - light, bright, but yet warm at the same time. The selection of clothes is great. I usually go for the slacks because they are high end designers - barely if ever worn, but for under $15.00. If you are really wanting to feel good and ultra save..certain days they seem to have some slacks marked down to under $8.00! Beautiful shoe collection - especially if you love heels and boots. The furniture seems top notch with often modern and vintage quality, but I dont have a car so I dont bother peaking too much. From what I can tell the men clothes look great too! :)

Im a big fan of Housing Works and stop by whenever Im in the neighborhood to see what new items theyve acquired. There are several locations in the city. Its a good spot for seeking out used books. I also like to view their furniture, glassware, and auction windows. Also a good place to donate most items (theyll provide the tax deduction form). All for a good cause.

This is a thrift shop for rich people (sort of). It all depends on what you consider cheap, the quality of the clothing was excellent and most of it was either well-known, high-end brands or simply top-quality picks but I dont think I saw anything cheaper than 15 bucks.Consider this: take a look around you when youre at any Salvation Army and look around when youre in there, thats prob a stylist over there, but you might just find a gem...

Yes its a little bit dirty here, but everything is so cheap. I dont like wearing used cloth so I didnt check out their cloth section. However, their funiture and items like bowls and plates are pretty good to me. Given their super low price, I am giving this place a 4-star. If factor out the price, 2.5-star maybe?

One of my favorite housing works. As this is housing works flagship store there is a lot of turn over of product so you need to frequent it to find what your looking for. They do get a lot of interesting pieces at this store. If you see something you want pick it up dont leave it and circle back it may not be there by the end of your visit.

This is a bit more premium than most other thrift stores like Goodwill, Crossroads, Buffalo Exchange. Most pants and blouses were $20 but there were cheaper ones, as well as more expensive ones. The aesthetics were very chic and more organized than other thrift stores I’ve been to. If you’re in the area, would recommend.Instagram: @thenomadicfoodie

Housing Works is a curated thrift store, as opposed to a trashy one. Everything they sell is at least in good condition. They have a nice selection of mens and womens clothes, as well as books and CDs. There are always a few really nice pieces of furniture for sale. Though theres a tendency to label items as vintage -- and price them accordingly -- theres some great merchandise and real bargains to be had.

Over Joyed ever since they first showed how to make sense of occasional or when #everythingiseverywhere (BaZinGA!). Their window displays are created with that singular thought of where to keep what you need and still get what you want. Fair prices. Though the Mens dresz clothes are at a steeper level than most brand new unworn unprocessed stuffed into black bag shipped to and fro their locations thru out city. They have quite a few. Their Brooklyn local has a deal for Two Meduim (decebt size) paper bags its either $20 or $30 a single bag w/whstever you can stuff into them. Entire clothibg, jewelry, hone fashions and such contents of that stores location are included. No over sized items like furniture or art. Great deals can usually be found not on the weekends. Sad but true. Though there is a trade --> less.people and more available inventory.
