I went here for a visit and my friend showed me this place. Wow! Its perfect for everyone. I dont see anyone would dislike this place! Its really great! I wish Ill come back here again so I can have more detailed review and more photos to follow. But so far, I enjoyed looking from stuffs around the store. The place is near the Empire State building. Also its near subway stations (34th and 33rd street). Its pretty much easy to find the place as its located along the road.

Forget Macys across the street. THIS is the place you need to go! Practically everything you see on the thinkgeek site, but you can actually hold it and look at it! Not enough money in your pocket to get everything you want, but I did see some nice clearance sales here and there. If you like the website at all, you must see this place.

Alot of game stops sell figurines and action figures as well as video games but this game stop has the largest collection of them all and the customer service is good too.

I go for the Think Geek downstairs, and lets simply say my life would not be complete without this store. I used to buy their products only online, but now I can run in and get a Star Wars hat and scarf on a cold day instead of wasting money on something I dont want, or if I had a bad day treat myself to a backpack and with Deadpool riding a Unicorn. This the staff is usually totally helpful, some more than others, but because they are all also geeks like you, they get it more so theyre more likely to help you out than most other stores. Love this place.

Bad experience. Bought a PS5 game and when I was home I found that the employee gave me the PS4 version. Had to commute back to solve it. Ended up wasting lots of time and money.

Oren is the worst manager and completely disrespectful. He undermined and yelled at his peer and refused to refund me even though I had proof of purchase. I had four things to return yet he only returned one. He provided me zero reason other than to try again tomorrow (and have to pay another 6 dollars for a subway ticket). This man should lose his job immediately.

Received excellent customer service from an employee named Paris. Very friendly attitude, very helpful. She helped select a shirt size perfect for me. The store has a nice atmosphere. 10/10 would recommend.

I like that game stop is upstairs and think geek is on the lower level. You can grab a game or console then go downstairs for quirky things like tee shirts, little table lights, funko figures, and movie figurines. Customer service here was good, they were helpful and didnt rush us while we browsed. I like it being in the corner of the 34th st area. It wasnt crowded indoors because they limit people in at a time which is comforting during this pandemic.

Honestly I like this place I guess just because their Think Geek has so much to offer here other then others I’ve been to. Today is 12/28/2020 Monday I waited outside about for 1 hour and a half With a young man for the employees to show up After 10:00am Then came about a young lady with so much hostile she then opened up the gate then closes the gate and me and a young gentleman ended up talking to one of the city park or street cleaners he said they open at 10 and then he told us they will be here to open up but it was already passed 10am so we waited an extra 10mins then she came out and told us we open at 11 knowing she was lieing threw her teeth prior to being late and they had to open up at 10. And I asked her don’t you guys open at 10 she said not today we open at 11 on the first day of the week I asked she slams the door. GameStop you guys need to train your employees every 2 months or annual because this should of never happen as well as for the open - closing hours.

I wasnt too happy with how the employees treated me when I asked them questions about certain games...all this man would tell me was he doesnt know and roll his eyes, but when someone else had questions for him he was as polite as he could be. I think ill stick to purchasing my games online, im not buying anything from anyone who treats me differently for whatever reason.

Snobby guy that was dealing with me. Had a bad attitude also. Explained something to him and he couldnt understand and works there. I would pass this gamestop by if you can find one closer to you.

Recently called to the store to ask about any stocks for the next gen consoles. Whomever the person was didnt sound happy to come work at all and sounded disrespectful when i asked about it.In his response he asked if i had a pre-order which i replied no, then he said well your answer is no.So i went on ahead and ended the call after saying thank you which he replied. Have a great night.Apparently they dont know what time of day it is since i called in the morning. So im not dealing which this location again. Mediocre customer service.

Literally come here every time I go to the city. Or at least think about going. Had something I was interested in, I reserved it in advance and was so happy. Store has a wide selection and employees greeted me coming and leaving the store. If you’re visiting, please go. They always got deals going on and stuff for everyone even though there are always so many customers!

Was ok I just wish they didnt shrink down the ps3 library but other than that its was a good experience as always ☺️

Bad place to shop for games

Normally ok experience but rating is lower due to recent closing of the store without notice. They boarded up the store a week before the election despite no danger and no other places doing so yet and didnt post any changes to the schedule online or notice on windows, nothing. They also did so a few months ago but again nothing mentioned about it online, so people wasted time going there thinking it was open. This is the main GS people visit in nyc so to close early without warning is pushing customers to buy elsewhere and not go there anymore. People go there to browse not to do doorside. Also, its clear they dont test used controllers.The RB button didnt work on used xb1 controller that looked like it was dropped in that area. Same day I returned another person did too. The replacement was luckily ok but right rumble is disconnected due to brittle wires so I have to return again. Gamestop got rid of pro member discounts, making it basically worthless. The employees dont always check for monthly coupon and still it has less value than discount did. I cant login to the app to use myself or use points since the recent update which is extremely slow and buggy. How are all digital rewards sold out? Only $5 available which you cant combine. That is the company itself tho. This store has the biggest selection of toys and merch out of any GS. Theres a Nintendo store near 49th with cheaper plushies.

This is a combo store and they try to use every last inch of space that they have in think geek. At times its even hard to walk around there is so much stuff out on display in such a small area. Its nice though to find items you can no longer find online since the site has closed down.

I love coming to this ThinkGeek. Paris is always super nice and helpful and really makes this store a place worth coming too. They always make sure i find something cool and fun to leave with

They have a lot of cool figurines and a huge amount of Pop figurines. They recently added a new Japanese toy machine thats cute to play. Overall its a nice place with stuff for all peoples interests when it comes to games, anime, and movies.

Geek stuff galore. I love that nerd culture has gone mainstream cause now we have stores just for the nerds out there from figurines to apparel. The stuff is high quality, well designed and puts the fun Im functional. The prices are also reasonable. Highly recommend getting for the geek in you.

THE WORSE GameStop store in the city! I went to this store looking for a Street Fighter video game on Feb 07, 2019 and the whole time I was there I felt like I was being racially profiled. One of the staff member, whose name I forgot to take, followed me and my partner the entire time we were in the store, on both floors! He approached us about five times asking us if we needed something, despite of us repeatedly telling him that we were good. He even escorted me to the cash point from the lower level to make sure that everything was alright, but wouldnt process my transaction. Lastly, at the cash point I asked the cashier if Apple Pay was available, and he said yes. However, he told me he wont let me use Apple Pay unless I show him my ID and physical credit card! Whats the point of using Apple Pay (which does facial recognition) if I have to pull out my credit card?My visit to this store was so uncomfortable, mortifying, and disturbing. I cant believe I paid so much money at this store, only to be treated as a shoplifter! I only gave this store my money because they were the only one in the city to have the game I needed. I will never be going again to this GameStop!

Excellent place to stop by for almost all things western pop culture including gaming, large movie franchises and comics. Has multiple floors filled with various pop culture memorabilia with a clearance section. Whether youre looking for actual video games to play, or a cure plushie of your favourite character, this place likely has something for you.

Only reason why I did not give this location a five stars I didnt actually purchase anything I just received information from a associate that works at this location Hulu enlighten me on about games systems joysticks stuff of that nature. But Im grateful for the gentlemens knowledge and he definitely helped me out tremendously and guided me in the right direction towards what I would like to purchase in the future

This store is amazing, it has so many cool collectibles. And they have a great selection of used games.

Its not very easy to find the games sometimes and the attendants dont offer to help you. The used games could be way cheaper than the new ones. Also, they dont always have whats on display despite the attendants saying they do, I wanted to buy Pokemon sword and a switch with red and blue stickers but when I got to the register, only Pokemon shield and the switch with grey sticks were available

The staff at ThinkGeek is always on point. Always courteous and nice. Their customer service is top level. Love going to this location. Also their Funko Pop section is very well organized. To say it is small, it is very tidy. Great location. Appreciate the staff.

A pretty good store. I managed to found the things I was looking for. Good selection of games, merchandise, and accessories. Theres a floor for a normal GameStop you find everywhere else, and another floor for gaming merchandise. Not a lot of selections for the merchandise tho. Mostly are T-shirts.

Joseph was very disrespectful for absolutely no reason. After finishing the transaction he was also disrespectful to another employee, after which she called himout for it. Very bad service by Joseph. Not going back.

A gamers heaven and geeks paradise all in one. Its the perfect collaboration and hands down my favorite store branch to visit. Its great to just window shop too. The sales/clearances are great for budget shoppers thinking about gifts for their nerdy loved ones

Its in the basement. Nice selection of pops. Would be nicer to size more selections in styles and sizes in apparel. Otherwise, staff is very friendly, helpful and very engaging with customers. Which is great for a high volume got traffic location.

I didnt visit the GameStop on the ground level, just ThinkGeek in the basement. While the apparel selection varies wildly (I went in looking for Overwatch stuff, which the store was teeming with six months ago, and found nothing), you can get some very, very good deals of you dig a little.The staff is courteous and always willing to talk about nerdy stuff (I gushed about The Mandalorian and HBOs Watchmen with one of the cashiers while paying for my stuff), its always nice to shop here.

Although it didnt have all the merchandise shown on the website, it still has a lot of noteworthy stock. The Funko Pop wall is almost overwhelming but its awesome. :DThey just need to expand and open more local stores.

Poor customer service overall... If you want to buy somthing, theyll sell. It but if you need help theyll simply tell you to go call customer service. The staff doesnt have any manners or sens of customer service. Think geek staff is great... Maybe they should train the upstairs staff the same way.

Fun store and pretty large compared to the average game stop or gamestop/ think geek stores. The ground floor is dedicated to mostly video games ( gamestop) and the bottom floor is all think geek.I didnt look too much into the gamestop portion of the store so I went straight down to think geek. The staff were tentative and the store was real clean. They also had a wide range of collectibles.Not the most I have seen in a think geek store ( best one was at palisades mall imo), but highly recommend if you happen to be in the area and would like to visit a think geek store.

A big Gamestop outlet with a wide selection of toys, figurines located at the basement. One thing I always like for this chain outlet, they are very helpful. Very good customer service. I think they have the most complete video games selection in US.

Went there for my daughter who is in a wheelchair and loves anamie,She wanted a couple of t-shirts.... think Geek is down stairs with no Elevator....making them not handicap accessible.

Definitely a place to check if you like anime. I bought a anime movie from here but found that it was a pirated movie but the quality was still amazing. This reason I gave it 3 stars is because first of all they sell pirated movies and it was a small store that I felt didnt have a lot. But I would still commend it.

Decent size store for both shops. Plenty of cool stuff to look at in ThinkGeek and tons of games to peruse in GameStop. Employees dont bother you when you are looking around, which is nice. Cool place to hangout in Herald Square.

This store is so awesome! The staff was really friendly and you can tell they like working there. They geeked out with us, and were really helpful. They went out of their way to help us and we loved being there.
