Nice store, but almost feels more like a showroom in that theres not a ton of games in here
Very helpful in getting my set up with my PS5!! James was excellent
My son favorite store. The staff is great
I don’t know what it is; if they’re depressed, mismanaged, get no love, but most of the employees are miserable. The response to every question is “I don’t know,” “I don’t follow that company, I don’t know” “we can’t see point info”. Just lots of blatant lies and rude attitudes. You don’t need to follow a company to know about releases or release procedures or dates. If you hate your jobs so much, please do yourself a favor make space for employees who would be more than happy to fill the position. Respectfully.Meanwhile GameStops in other areas like 33rd and 125th are extremely helpful.
Over all good location near University pl. Very busy has stuff most store dont staff was excellent no qualms. Check it
Was almost the perfect visit but most of the employees were not wearing their masks properly.
This gamestop could be so much better if it were better managed. The understaffed shifts and the out of view statues, and the repetitive funko pops leave a bit to be desired. The staff arent the friendliest either. Theres one girl thats friendly and everyone else just looks overworked or underappreciated.
I like going here from time to time to grab some neat stuff
So I went here a few days ago to buy a game on sale and the guy at the register charges me full price, so once I show him that the game was on sale through the app, then he tells me that if I want to get that sale price, I’d have to order online FOR PICKUP which made zero sense. He tells me the order should be in the system within 40 minutes and to come back after, I come back An hour later and he tells me I should have a “order ready” email which I didn’t have. So I stay within the area for over 2 hours until it starts to rain on me. I never got the email until a couple days later. so I just called to get a refund. All for a game I already had in my hand. Never again.
Bad service. The one at 34th st is much better.
The supervisor In the afternoon Is Rude AttitudeTells Customers to pull up their mask But then he doesnt tell his employees to do so Thats why I stick to J & L games EB Gamestop became lame franchiseThey are not for the gamers
Staff was very helpful and very friendly. Especially the young lady there with black glasses. Definitely will be going back.
Customer service was good and the persons was very attentive very good spot however i really didnt see a lot of games for ps4 other than that its a good store to go to everything around that store is close by you so no need to worry 👍🏽
As always Gamestop is the place for gamers and geeks a like.
Loved the customer service and its a really chill atmosphere
Dope! Right near burlington and other shopping stores on 14th street
Have not had a bad GameStop experience yet.
They have a lot of the games that I want or been looking for, so is a great place.
I wouldn’t recommend working here. Took a seasonal position to help with income to not work a single day at all. The Manager here is very uncommunicative and pretends he doesn’t know the employees he’s hired. Good riddance for wasting my life.
Honestly gamestop is just a good simple game store to get all of your different consoles and games for you or other people, and if you work there you get a lot of benefits and a good salary too if you go up the chain.
I llllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllike it alot
Not a huge fan of GameStop but hey you want some used games for a very reasonable price thats where you go.
I don’t know anything about games or Xbox but I was tipped that one of my favorite patients loves Xbox, and GameStop was the place to go searching for a present. The staff in this store are the most helpful people you’ll ever encounter in all of Manhattan. The man behind the counter placed so much effort making sure my gift was just the right selection and with perfect presentation. I can’t thank him enough. Without his help I would have easily embarrassed myself on front of my sweet patient and his mom.
They never have any games you want.
Super clean. Nice staff.
They are nice people but the cashier(tall guy with pony tail could be Spanish) just tried to scam me and tell me the only way i could buy a ps4 was to bundle it with other things instore so i called another GameStop who confirmed this was not true. If you have to upsale then do so without lying to customers it makes me not want to go into the store and i normally never have a bad experience here but now i will have to question anything i buy from this location!
Horrible How do You have a sign up 50% off an nothing I repeat nothing at all is scanning 50% off manager was so rude an nasty an didn’t wanna handle the situation his attitude was go ahead call corporate I don’t care! Nice I am so so shocked I spent so much money at GameStop an travel from NJ to NY to buy items what a waste of my time an what horrible experience I had with this store!
Always great customer service
Clean, well laid out store.
Not alot of stock. everything was 30 % off. might be going out of business.
Always fun going to this store.
Im a huge fan of Avengers and I am so glad to find some cool merchandise here to complete my collection. They have all the awesome collections at an affordable price. Every staff members are very kind and well-informed with every product that they sell. GameStop is the perfect place for toy collectors like me and I am encouraging everyone to visit this store. For sure, youll gonna love it here.
The young lady that took care of me today was really.nice and was helpful godbless and thanks for your nice customer service
They are great and have many game options
Very bad service. Counter person was short and aggressive in answering questions. Tried to force their BS game protection plan when I bought a game from them into my transaction and I had to specifically ask for it to be removed.
The store has a lot of things, when you ask to the employees where is certain merchandise they don’t know anything.
Employees really knowledgeable and great customer service
They had everything we needed in stock which was great. But after dropping $400+ on a new game system and some games, the girl at the register informed us they didn’t have any bags at all for us to carry our expensive electronics in. This was the first day of the “plastic bag ban” which explains why they didn’t have those. But how does a major retailer not have any paper bags to replace them? Or reusable bags available for purchase? It was ridiculous and I will likely never give them my business again.
Terrible lazy service.
Its Great! Jared is the best and is super helpful and nice. I never felt rushed or felt like I was being made to decide right away. Gave me options to actually help with my decision. Eric, Ryan are also good as well.
DONT BUY FROM THAT STORE! There is a reason they are in big financial difficulties. I just bought a new X-Box game from them, and its defective and they are not taking it back. This stores harks back to the old days of the eighties where customers mean nothing. The store manager is a hard headed guy. He told me if I am not happy to call Microsoft. YOU DO NOT NEED TO GO TO THAT STORE. YOU CAN DOWNLOAND OR BUY ONLINE. AVOID THEIR STUFF YOU MAY LOSE ALL YOUR MONEY -- LIKE I DID. (And I am not talking about the fact that they are rude and unaplogetic that they sold you a defective product -- they belong in a museum with all the derelict businesses that did not care about their customers)
5 stars
Very good experience trading in a game.
Theyre starting to close GameStop stores, do I had to travel from uptown just to come to this store. It was a few weeks before Christmas, and the line was pretty long. There were only 3 people working, with 2 on the registers. The great thing was, was that the guys working the registers were calm and collected. They were very helpful and got me what I needed.
Sad because the game store was going out business
A little messy
Got scammed here. They sold me the game case without a disc.
They never answer the phone!
Poor customer service. Associate was having trouble finding what I was looking for so I said other options he still didn’t know where to locate them. I asked another associate at the register if he could help him he said he’s too busy while there’s already 4 people at the register. Great that they only care about sales at the register and not customer service on the floor
Great staff and products
Easy transaction good price
A guy named Matt there was a really great guy and helped me out !!
The service here is professional and quick. I came to purchase an obscure item that was listed on the website but not on display in the store, so I asked the employee at the register. She was very helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable. You can also get away with a quick purchase if driving because there are usually spots in front.
Clean smelling. Sleek, dark decor yet interesting. If I couldve spent time browsing, I definitely would. The shop had what was listed online. I bought what I wanted, then left. Wonderful experience.
They are helpful and do there job well 10 out of 10
Used games priced only a $3-$6 dollars lower than brand new copies. Not really worth it. But good selection of collectables and gamer/geek/pop culture merchandise.
Power to the players
Nice selection
Awesome helpful people working there
It was the tops!
This is a very unprofessional location. They bring shame upon the GameStop franchise. Workers are not clear about policies and procedures regarding trade-ins and purchases. They refuse to own up to their own mistakes, and the supervisor, John, is also incompetent and unrealistic about his communication between the employees and customers. It is not correct to change the age policies at their convenience in order to cover their behinds and what they previously said. If this is read by any of the workers at this establishment, I hope you all work to improve your work ethic and customer service skills.
The staff needs to be more friendly and passionate. I mean hello its video games. You should be a nerd in order to work here. I know, I know they most likely get paid minimum wage. But at the end of the day, dont work here if you dont love it. There has been so may times where my controller has broken, and they will not replace it. Even though, I bought a warranty. Why am I paying extra money for warranty when its not honored??? Just wish they were more passionate and easy going.
Its always packed and the store employees are cool. Nice store to come and visit. Its not a Game Stop by and see for yourself.
A typical chain video game store offering a collection of new and used games, new and used consoles, and new and used accessories. The used game selection is pretty impressive and the employees are willing to help. If you are into video games and want to try and find a deal, Game Stop is a good place for exploring used items.
I always by my games from here
This store had a great selection and the staff offers vast knowledge of the games they have.
Used to be a great store til they hired a new manager, other than being the rudest employee encounter I ever had, he straight up lied to my face about the stores trade in policy with phones, I have done many trade ins and never had an issue with damaged phones just get less value he said every GameStop doesn’t accept it to cover for himself because he didn’t wanna do any extra work, thankfully the guys on 34th took care of me. Get a new manager you’re losing business because they aren’t trained properly and extremely rude. I’m never going back to this store again.
This is an extremely large store and it is the best one in the city because the one on Greenwich St shut down
Very helpful and friendly staff.Good shopping experience from the last time was ove here.
The workers in here are normally one or two people at the register. They answer questions and help with thier video game knowledge. The selection of video games here is a decent size but if you are looking for rare video games do not come here. The lines here are not long and if they are each customer takes around three to five minutes.
A go too spot for your games & collectibles
Lots of games too buy.
Good customer service
Store is pretty small and the wait in line for service can run up to a half hour. I visit at least a dozen times a year mostly satisfied with the service but the wait is just too much.
Friendly staff lots of collectibles
I called over 25 times over a three hour period and the message kept telling me that they were too busy helping other customers and to call back later so I went to the store. It didn’t look like they were too busy to pick up the phone at all. One guy laughed at me because I didn’t know that a game I was getting for someone wasn’t released yet. This other guy with glasses was helpful and caught me on the way out to tell me that if I could get a demo of the game online. I guess he felt bad for me.
Staff is rude mean and not at all helpful. I hate this location now. Since they got robbed they dont care about anyone..
The enjoy the Staff and the Manager John is refreshing to talk too
Spacious and lots of games, but the games arent alphabetized and hard to sort through
The waiting time to pay was a little to long.
Its a GameStop.
Why do they not pick up the phone? We’ve been calling them so many times and no one is answering. DO YOUR JOB.
They have decent service, but they could stand to have better employees who are more sound with their video game knowledge. Its all about making a sale to them, not making a good one. They tend to be missing games, but still have game boxes in their possession. Its ridiculous. Nonetheless, the sales are pretty decent and the availability of games is very good.
Cool to visit since my school is a block away and that the one on 86th shut down but really aren’t the friendliest
Got a Great DEAL ON PS4.MERRY XMAS SEAN!😘💋😎💋
Very nice store. Has good amount of space for browsing. The staff is very helpful. They also have collectables that can be purchased.
I love there its da robux gift card U alwaysget
They have everything
Always do business with Gamestop. For consoles, games and other equipment. Very good and experience gamers that know their stuff
Amazing staff that will go out of their way to ensure your needs are met.
Pretty nice store. Well kept. Props to the employees.
Ive shopped at this particular location before issue free. My gripe, in this instance, MAY be singular and not extend to anyone beyond myself, but I recently purchased a PS4 controller and unfortunately it didnt work. I noticed there was also a minor amount of wear, fingerprints, grit, etc; i.e., it wasnt new, refurbished would be my guess. Which sometimes get sold as new, inconvenient, but it happens. My issue however, is when I returned said controller, I was made to feel as though I was attempting to defraud the store with an old controller. Requests for serial number, requests for my state ID, and at no point did anyone make apologize for the inconvenience of having to return a used controller that was sold as new; and to add even more insult injury, at no point was I addressed directly. It was in short, poor customer service. Thats all.I get retail wears you thin, but I never took my frustrations out on them and I wish their level of civility had been slightly higher. It doesnt take much to say, Sorry for your inconvenience sir, let get you fixed up.This shouldnt discourage you from shopping here, but hopefully youll manage your expectations.
Lots of options, very spacious and the funko pop section is quite nice.
Put a game on hold for a certain price on Saturday (50% off regular), but I wasnt able to get into the store til Monday. I went in to pickup the game and noticed that it was not $39.99, but like, no problem, right? Id reserved it at $19.99, so they should honor that price, right?Nope... the guy rings me up for $40+tax, so I ask whats the deal with the price. He tells me that because I didnt pick it up within 24 hours I dont get the OG price. I check both emails Gamestop sent me, and neither mentions anything about only respecting the price for 24 hours. The associate was super unhelpful throughout the whole process, looked like he couldnt care less.Luckily, my buddy hooked me up -- let me know that it was available at Best Buy for the original $19.99, so I bought it there instead. Definitely wont be going back to this store.
It was ok for the most part.
