So, I spend $400 for a jacket. I made sure to confirm that the warranty was all inclusive. The saleswoman told me yes. If anything goes wrong, bring it back. They will either replace it or fix it at no cost. A year goes by and the zipper no longer works. Now, mind you, I am never hard on my clothes. They last for years. This one didn’t. So I took it back. There was also a small tear in the back which was completely my fault and I didn’t care much about having it repaired since I was going in for buy another North Face coat and use this one for walking my dog in the morning. When I returned the coat, the salesperson said that they would most likely send me a new coat. Great! So, 6 weeks go by and I received a package in the mail. It was from Northface. I opened it and it was my unrepaired coat with a message that they were sending it back because they couldn’t t reach me. I have been holed up in my apartment the entire pandemic, answer all my mail, texts, Emails and calls. No they didn’t reach out. Anyway, attached to the coat Was an estimate for the small rip, for $85. They did not repair the zipper. A waste of 6 weeks. So I call their warranty department and she tells me that they don’t warranty rips. Very unfriendly. And absolutely useless. I asked why they didn’t repair the zipper. She had no answer and no solution.I threw the coat in the trash. Will shop for a new one from anywhere except Northface. Terrible customer service. Never again.
I was really impressed with the service, the gentleman knew what I was looking for (inliner) and the young lady pointed me in the right direction. Very expensive but Im sure it was worth it. The gentleman was impressed with the good condition of my Gortex coat. Between 13 to 15 yrs old. I would definitely shop there again and recommend friends and family to shop there.
Nice staff. Well stocked but not everything is in stock. Great selection.
This store is my go-to for The North Face. I have always had a pleasant shopping experience here, with a friendly, and knowledgeable staff. The 5th Ave location gets a big boooo from me due to bad customer service, and the staff being more concerned product placement, than customers.
North Face super clothing in this broadway area
Not bad. Havent been here in maybe 10 years or so. Love all the north face stuff but the stock on quite a few items was low to none. Had to resort to ordering from the website.
HORRIBLE Customer service! They move very miserable in this location especially the lady Christina
Great store and staff. IMO, one of the best in the City. Even the manager was there to help me find something. Really pleasant shopping experience.
The staff here is awesome-very knowledgeable but not pushy or clingy. I shop here frequently and am never disappointed. Great quality on their clothing. I’ve worn my North Face gloves all through lockdown and I didn’t get the Covid.
Went to exchange an online order for a better fit size the staff was very accommodating andknowledgeable. As a healthcare worker in these COVID times I have to give praise to the cleanliness of store and proper use of PPEs!!
Everyone is super helpful, you will be asked at least 3x from 3 different people if you need help. Mostly overpriced unless its out of season. 2 floors with no elevator or public bathroom.
Well organised story.
I was looking for a particular product and knew from previous shopping here that they would help me find it. Really nice and attentive staff here, as always. From the moment I walked in the store I was asked if I needed help. The website had an item on sale however it rang up as full price. The sales staff & management helped clarify the situation immediately. I would definitely shop here again.
Great service and great selection. Jeff went above and beyond in helping me out even though he was really busy. Thanks.
Giving two stars because I (usually) don’t have a problem coming here. So, I called to make sure that I can bring in a pair of shoes to exchange the size since they were gifted and a size too large. I was told that it’s absolutely no problem and to come on in. Anyway, I got to the store and the “store manager” which was some guy covered in tattoos told me I can’t exchange the shoes. So I spent 1.5 hours commuting here to be shut down. I then went to the flagship store by Bryant park and they told me that whoever told me I can’t exchange the shoes was wrong and they should have been able to do it for me. So the exchange was done without a problem at the flagship store. The guy had a massive attitude as well, north face is a great company and people like that make them look bad.
You need to go in the middle of Dec or January they didnt have what I wanted in the store so I payed for it on the net..
Nice place, doesnt have everything from their online website, service is great, Coupons via their website membership! It was barely honored, but the manager accepted it. (10%)
I just wanted a nice looking coat that keeps you warm. That was it. I always loved that brand. And somehow left this store with my head spinning. I picked 2 coats that i liked and asked different people who worked there which was warmer... Kept getting differing opinions and weird info on what makes a coat warm. Would recommend they create an index for each coat and it simply provide a scale of warmth...Also recommend providing education to the sales teams so they dont make up random facts to sell coats. They should be saying the same story...
If you want to stay warm without breaking the bank, this may be your place. I bought a bunch of excellent, waterproof winter items here and Im completely satisfied with them all. There were even a few things they didnt have in stock, that I had shipped to the store. The website and app is official too. Staff is super knowledgeable and friendly.
Super friendly staff, not pushy but was there if you needed something. I also learned a few things about their products and had good conversation with two employees. Ill be back :)
I am usually an online shopper and had researched TNF backpacks. I wanted to compare a few in person so visited this store. This location had a great variety in stock and I was able to try them on. The staff was really helpful, I am sorry I cannot recall the gentlemans name who assisted me. He was friendly and patient, showing me the differences between several different backpacks. The store also seemed to have a good stock of other TNF clothes and gear.
Wonderful staff and great products.. this was the only store that had what I was looking for after visiting the other NorthFace store and Macy’s
I recently purchased a jacket from this location. The product lineup was excellent and had numerous styles and colors to choose from. The staff was very friendly and willing to help you find what you were looking for. The second floor of the store is currently under construction. However, they expect to have even more products added once construction is complete. Overall, a great place to shop with excellent products.
Staff was helpful, but amazingly they dont have all styles. I understand not having my size, but to not have the Biggie McMurdo is crazy. To be fair they offered to order online, but I walked out with the regular McMurdo and saved $60
Jeff is a great salesman and helper. He found the size we needed off of a dummy model. Great great great experience. Happy satisfied repeat customers.
I didnt find a jacket for my son
Very clean. Staff was very helpful and friendly.
Excellent customer service!
The staff was very pleasant, and helpful. I will definitely return for other purchases. Wendy went out her way, hope shes there the next time, I go.
Great sale going on right now. Great merchandise
Great store with a nice layout.
My wife is a front-line worker and they denied her the use of coupons that North Face Corporate sent her via email I guess it doesnt mean anything to them that she put her life on the line to save others during this covid-19 pandemic
North Face is always nice. Shop is in good location, never crowded, stuff is friendly.
Can’t be good for a company when a salesperson lies to customers. Salesperson at 2101 Broadway store was both nice and tried to accommodate however lied to get a sale under her name. We liked a jacket in specific color for our son but the size was not available in the store. She brought out 2 other colors and added that even online the color and size is sold out. Come home check out the site, not only it was available it is also has “NEW ARRIVAL” even though Akane said its old style/color. Its either lack of product knowledge but suspicion its desperation. Online order would not go on her name? NOT returning to this store. Can’t wait for SoHo to get kids products. Retrain the uptown staff...
Store managers and sales staff used to be very good at this store. I knew all the managers there and they were great people. Recently iI went there to use my gift card and I found new manager there by the name Ken Rodriguez who was very rude unprofessional and he refused to redeem my gift card. Now NF sends only email gift cards no more physical plastic card like it was years ago. Basically you get in your email a number and pin.I asked him where is all other managers and he said they all gone and now he is the rude boss of all bosses there. I asked him to spell his name clearly and he refused it. His hand writing was so sloppy that I could not understand what he wrote. Then his salesman told me his name Rodriguez the manager, who was very unkind and made me feel like I had to leave from that store. I used to come there for 15 years, there were great managers and salesman. Now there is animals working there who barks at you like you are an animal too.. Bad managers ruins NF reputation and quality customer service. If you ever go to this store try to avoid this rude spanish looking manger by the name Ken Rodriguez.
The staff is very friendly and helpful. Plus the store has a great layout and good selection making things easy to find. This is my favorite North Face store in Manhattan!😎
Every winter my child gets warmed in north face.
The staff here (on both floors) were not only very knowledgeable but patient, candid, & kind. My mother, aunt, & I came here late yesterday evening & we had a superb experience. Particular shoutout to Mark, Yanek & an employee on the second floor whose name I didn’t catch! Mark was there to assist my aunt & I in picking our jackets. We had a million questions about the products, sizes, colors, & certainly his personal opinions about the aesthetics we were trying to accomplish but he was more than gracious & helpful even though there was a language barrier. His engaging & friendly but not overbearing customer service style was absolutely wonderful to encounter from beginning to end. On the second floor, I initially got a *great* run down by a male employee (tall, think he had some facial hair, calm speaking voice) but I can’t remember his name :( He was clocking out shortly after we got up there so he came over to let us know that he was leaving & that he arranged for Yanek to take care of us. I greatly appreciated that gesture! Now picture this: 3 Women Upstairs in the men’s department looking for a jacket to send to Poland for my aunts son, with Poland on the phone. The very knowledgeable first employee sent us in the right direction, Yanek left us to pick colors. We were mainly concerned about the jacket being long enough for my (tall) cousin. Yanek is about my cousins height so we asked if maybe he would be willing to try the jacket on for us & that’s kind of an annoying request (I work in customer service too, I get it) but wow Yanek was more than gracious. He tried it on for us & given our frustrating shopping situation, I was SO incredibly grateful. He later weighed in on choosing between colors, which helped us finally decide. Along with a great, engaging conversation Yanek made what normally is difficult (shopping for someone an ocean away) an incredibly pleasant experience.I strongly advise that no matter where you are in NYC that you make the trip here to shop north face. I bought my first north face jacket here 9 years ago & we came up from Brooklyn to do it again & it was 110% worth crowded ride there single handedly because of the employees at this store.
More focused on their personal lives than sales
Good customer service but a bit slow on getting the key to the fitting room but other than that it was a good visit
The place has helpful staff. Primarily, I went there to buy a jacket. The collection of jackets was not that great. The number of backpacks that they had was only a handful. They didnt have many items on discount, though I visited during the Thanksgiving holidays.
Ok, I have issues with The North Face as brand, so I no longer purchase their wares for myself (Patagonia is simply far superior in every facet, trust me). That being said, my 9 year old wanted a specific jacket this winter from The North Face. No problem. Except, it was. Ordered said jacket and it arrived, size M, simply too big. Ok, figured I’d go to the brick and mortar store to exchange. Yet, our jacket wasn’t being stocked in the store. Kind of a bummer for a top of the line, $200 jacket for a kid, but that’s the case. One employee, she was awesome and was super helpful, but left for her break in middle of our exchange. We were then left in Robert’s hands. He couldn’t figure out how to get the jacket re ordered for us at the discount we got on the original purchase. 15 minutes later and several attempts, we finally re ordered and were forced to pay for the new jacket on the spot. Because we were unlucky enough to purchase the wrong sized jacket via Apple Pay, Robert was unable to credit my AmEx back the $200 originally spent. After another 15 minutes to nonsense, he returned with a photo copy of my new order and told me I’d get a credit to my AmEx once he shipped the return back. Ok, simple stuff, could’ve done this on my own but was grateful the store was taking care of the shipping. Ah! Or so I thought. Robert was able to tell me that day, October 5, that it should be 5-10 business days. October 22, new jacket has long since arrived and I was out of patience waiting for any type of info on my return. I called Robert. At 4pm. After multiple calls back to me from Robert - telling me nothing- he had the audacity to call back over an hour later and tell me how sorry he was that HE NEVER SHIPPED OUT MY RETURN. Are you kidding me? Had I never called, my return would’ve just sat there. “I’m really sorry, it’s a 1 in a million thing.” Not good enough. Patagonia replaces on the spot. If they can’t, they call and have it rushed out (Robert also could t make the overnight shipping happen on my repurchase- though he promised he would.) I am shocked and disgusted with “Robert” and how little he cared about the service he offered to provide. I had actually for a moment contemplated purchasing a North Face 1990 Mountain GTX for myself (despite all the flaws with TNF since 1990!) and this experience was enough to reinforce how much they he brand and the service, especially at 73rd and Broadway, suck balls. Robert, you should be ashamed of your lack of quality in your work. #thenorthfacesucks
Great store. Really nice staff
North face makes some of the best quality cold weather clothing with a great warranty. Their gloves are great!
Best selection of North Face products, helpful and knowledgeable employees. Not at all pushy. Great sales!
A good store for anyone who loves outdoor activities like hiking, rafting, rock climbing etc. They sell quality clothing and lots of the items are water proof. The prices are expensive and it is definitely a specialty store for outdoor aficionados and those seeking Winter proof gear and clothing.
I have a North Face jacket. The inside lining began flaking off. I took it in and they were happy to fix it for me. Im waiting on the replacement.
Nice store. We usually shop here for North Face jackets and accessories. Helpful staff.
Prices must be subsidising the rent. Good friendly, and knowledgeable staff.
Its winter?go get yourself warmed there.great customer service I never experienced
The service was really nice and helpful. They did have a very great selection. And you could try them all on to compare the different features. The main downside was the 2nd floor was under consturction. So you could not explore around more. The space was a little crowded. Hopefully they will expand their selection soon when the construction ends. Overall a nice store. I found a nice jacket. You should check it out
The gentleman took an hour to help me and made sure it fit properly!
Great store large selections of gear good customer service.
Very good service.. employees are very kind and helpful.
Pretty much out of common sizes ...stock low ....had to ask for pricing nothing marked.
I love to go there. Everybody is nice and friendly
Not much of a selection, but I originally went in to make an exchange for a product I had purchased from their online store. Staff was really friendly and quickly assisted me.
The intense lights in that store always make it extra warm.
Great place. Many varieties to choose from. And really helpful and knowledgeable staff.
Great selection but the staff is indifferent at the Broadway location. After look around and trying on different styles for 30 minutes not one person came over to ask if I needed help. This was the same with others hoping as well. The one floor girl there was too busy flirting with the security guard near the door to be bothered trying to ensure sales or any form of customer service.I did notice that the cash registers were fully staffed with 3-4 people behind the counter while I was there.
Really nice shop and the staff is just so nice. They took a lot of time to help children for learning climbing in a little wall in the store ! Thank you so much !
Great store. They are really knowledgeable about their gear.
The employees were very helpful and knowledgeable. Made sure to greet you at the door and are willing to help you if you have any questions about the products.
Awesome selection of Merch. Much better than their Soho location. Staff was friendly and very knowledgeable.
So far I always had a great experience at this place!
I had to return an item because I ordered online. They didnt have the size that I am, but the store has different jackets, shirts and accessories to select from.It is a big store that deserves your visit.
Nice place to buy what u need for the Summer
The clothing is nice and awesome is a little expensive
Good choice of shopping. Lifetime warranty is everything.
Ive had my north face for 10 years still going strong got true meaning of official quality compare to no other
Great staff! excellent jackets. Can be a little pricey though.
Courteous. Knowledgeable patience good prices
Not the best selection they can offer. Some NJ stores have better selection.
My favourite store in NYC. The most friendly and helpful staff and loads of North Face gear at a fraction of the price you pay in the UK. Worth the 3500 mile trip :D
Nice designs and items for sportsmen but try to shop online or an outlet to save some money instead
Great selectio. Good locatiion.
North face always delivers quality!
Good customer service, great selection of outerwear.
Took literally 30 mins for them to check a size for me
Excellent selection of gear and great service.
Has a Great Selection and many items in stock HTF stuff!
New store layout looks great. Definitely a strong store.
Excellent winter gear..
Very friendly personnel which will help you if you have any questions. Large assortiment.
Great abd big shop of Nf
Not too Many selections for kids but staff is helpful and they can order online to ship to store. Very clean.
No help. Find things on your own.
A great place for warm winter gear or for running, gym, or backpacking attire.
It was pleasant and they where really helpful also
Awesome great customer service.
Worth a drop in if youre in the area.In the wintertime, slightly more pleasant than a visit to the DMV, the North Face is one of those necessary evils for someone completely not used to the cold like me. I barely even owned a windbreaker growing up. Dont get me wrong, if you need warm gear they have a lot of it, but there are two areas they fall short: gloves and base layers. Their base layer selection is a joke, and their non Antarctica expedition gloves you can use with a smartphone are so crappy youre better off just going bare handed to use your phone. Their thin thermoball jacket though? Now thats toasty warm. Get you one of those.
Flor personnel are eager to help.
Great outdoor gear suppliers, and a friendly helpful staff.
I have not bought anything yet but I will.
