Cute little shop in a side street basement. You kind of need to know what you want because the display case is small and only a few items. Only one guy behind the counter today, but I was the only customer. Very pleasant to deal with.I got a couple of tasty 4.9oz brisket burgers @$3 each.

I have used this place for years, they have some of the best meats in town. HOWEVER some of their employees are as unprofessional and rude as it comes. After calling in an order the day before about a pickup, I called in the morning to someone who had nothing better to say than “the other guys doesn’t know what he is doing, I don’t care about your order”

When entering you will notice how small it is. There is barely any room to stand let alone sit and eat. There are a few tables but you will need more than luck to find it not taken already.The service was a bit slow. It took over 15min for my order despite me being the only one in the restaurant. As for the food, the only downside I would say was that the bun of my burger was cold. Im assuming that they warmed up the bun right when I made the order and it cooled down by the time I was served.The burgers are really tasteful. In my opinion they are the perfect size, not to big to make it difficult to eat and not to small to leave you hungry afterwards. Overall the quality of the food was good, and I most likely will be going back on off hours to avoid the wait.- Halal Bites

This place is amazing. I live in Jersey, but decided to take the 2 hour+ trip to see if the hype was worth it, and let me tell you it definitely was. The Bone-in Ribeye was the best Ive ever had, delicious, tender, moist. I also got the NY Strip and the Short Ribs which were also some of the finest pieces of meat Ive ever had the chance to cook. Seriously this place is the best. Worth the long trip and the price.

I’ve been coming here for a couple of years now from Astoria Queens. We purchase two weeks worth at a time and are 100% satisfied with the quality of their products along with their customer service. The guys at the shop are super kind and courteous. Parking is tough in the area so we phone in our order, it’s usually a combination of several pounds of chicken and meat and they’ve been able to accommodate us each and every time allowing me to double park run in pay and run out saving me the chance to get ticketed. Much appreciated! A definite recommend for all those looking for a locally sourced, reliable quality butchery. Thanks!

Greatest butcher in the city. Very fresh!!!!! You taste the difference between packed meat and their meat. They are very helpful and give you the best advice and cooking tips. I love them how honest they are. Their sausages are excellent as well. I always get some so I can add them in pasta or veggies when I want to add extra flavor. Ask them what is the best choice for your dishes. They tell you whats the freshest and best in the store.

Best butchery in the city. I used to live in Brooklyn and now live in Westchester and still only consume meat from them. Fresh, local, organic meats. The staff is always helpful and guide you to make best choices depending on what you need it for. Also the Merguez sausage is amazing!

World class customer service, incredibly considerate and thoughtful butchers. High quality and fresh Halal meat- beef patties perfect for grilling. I would recommend them without reservation. We accidentally left part of order at the shop, realized while at our friends’ BBQ that they were missing, called Honest Chops- and they insisted on hand delivering them to BROOKLYN !! Honest Chops is great. I think the prices are fair and the meat is amazing. I wish it had more stores than just the one. I would shop here way more often. As far as the place goes, it just looks like a butcher shop. All that matters is that it looks very clean and what theyre selling is great. :)

A very unique butcher shop.They source their meat from various farms that treat their animals well.They sell all types of cut from chicken, beef and lamb.Their sausages are amazing, their brisket burgers are mouth watering and their steak cuts are just amazing.

Well I just went in there to buy something for someone but first off you can hardly see the sign secondly you have to go down like youre going down into a basement its narrow and its almost like you can fall you have to be very careful when youre going down those stairs and thirdly it kinds of smells in there.I know its a butcher shop but I believe Ive been to other butcher shops where it doesnt smell so raw like stench sort of if thats the only Organic Market in the neighborhood then you got to do what you got to do just make sure you wash off your meat really well with vinegar or lemon juice

There is nothing more dishonest about halal slaughter. Look it up guys it is torture for the animal. Stop butchering animals, we dont need to eat them to survive. Animal agriculture is needless and destroying our world through climate change.Edit: I was wrong meat is damn Amazing. I almost died as a vegan.

More expensive than necessary, and sullen staff who refused to chop up stew beef in the size I wanted. Instead of one-inch cubes, I got slabs half the size of my fist. Had to re-cut the beef at home, and glad I did, because I found multiple fragments of bone, which could have chipped a tooth if Id cooked and served it. Never going back there again.

Racist and disrespectful: Last week end I drove my friend to honest chops to get her usual order but since she wasnt feeling well she stayed in the car and I went to the shop to get her order. Needless to say that the experience was disappointing and nasty. The guys didnt greet me, they had no sense of customer service, they seemed annoyed. they kept talking to each other in arabic and it was obviously about me. when i left the store it was no thank you, no bye. very disappointing experience especially that i remember when one of the owners was there and was always nice and helpful and catering to customers. it sucks that honest chops is not what it used to be.
