Food is good, service is terrible. Been to this cafe more than once and the story is always the same. Today was so bad I walked out without ordering anything - and I was the only person there to order food. Also, online menu is misleading - it is not served all day. The menu they advertise is only available starting at 10am. From 7-10am they have only a limited coffee shop menu. Not the best place to start if youre in a hurry, or want something more than muffins. Also, people who arrived after me were helped before me. I dont think they really want anyone to come before 10am. Chairs were still stacked on tables, and it was almost 2 hours after they allegedly opened when I arrived. Being attached to a high school is not an excuse for poor service, because prices suggest you will get good service ($10 for a two egg plate). The food is one of the better places which is why I gave 3 stars. It should also be noted, its never busy in there when I am there and I have been here about 4 times at different times of the day so there really is no excuse for poor service, under serving or ignoring the customers.

We love it. Totally Impressed with the food. I got the pork chops with mashed sweet potatoes. The pork was tender and flavorful, while the potatoes were unbelievably delicious. My husband had the ricotta gnocchi. The server said it was to die for, and she was right. The handmade gnocchi was heavenly soft with the right amount of chewiness. The sauce was rich, but not overpowering. The dish also had kale, which was a very good addition. Bonus points for the clean, relaxed atmosphere, good service, and ease of parking (at least when we went there). The only thing I didnt like was their cappuccino because it tasted so bitter I had to add sugar. Good cappuccino should not require sugar. I used to work in a coffee shop and Ive been to countries with excellent coffee, so Im pretty picky. But coffee aside, well be coming back for sure.

Had been wanting to come here for a while and finally had breakfast there this week. Walking up the steps, I was a bit unsure if it was open as the dining room had its lights off, but was quickly greeted by a friendly woman who explained the cafe was open for counter service until 10am (when brunch officially starts). Ordered a standard bacon-eggs-toast meal and really enjoyed the presentation and flavors. Looking forward to going back to try something a bit more exotic sometime soon.

Great little brunch spot. Big windows let the sun in, but the AC is pumping on high. The food is a little pricier than expected but its worth every cent. Huge plates with amazingly tasty food. The eggs Benedict and fried green tomato BLT are definite stand outs.

The atmosphere is cool; nice place to sit and have a cup of coffee.Otherwise the food is subpar and the service has been awful every time I have gone in.One time I ordered some fries to go, and my server was about to give them to me and literally opened the box and took three fries, ate them, then closed it and gave it to me. All of which happened on the bar.Would not recommend this place to anyone who is looking to get a meal; Press Street Station is pretty much an over glorified coffee shop! In a place like New Orleans you can find way better places than this.

We tried Press Street Station just for something new. We were totally impressed overall; from the menu, service, and food to the cleanliness of the bathrooms and the overall aesthetic. Reasonable prices, unique & delicious food, friendly faces, and great music...PSS is the total package!

Still in its infancy, but a nice refuge away from touristy French Quarter. Most people wouldnt venture this far out unless you live in the area. Hope that they realize that they are ruining the dining experience and food by not paying attention to the small details. Hello? Heinz jelly packets when you have delicious homemade biscuits begging for various spreads?! Sysco products always dumb down a good meal.

My hamburger was not cook as ordered, the fries were cold. The coffee is fantastic. The server was friendly. I walked in at 2:10. At 2:50, I ordered a dessert. At 3, the front manager walked up and said the kitchen was closed and she was sorry I wont get my dessert. In 40 years of dining out, I had never had that happened before. I felt as if I was being tossed out. The server was new, improperly trained, but very sweet. I was attempting to order dessert and two TOGO King cakes from the shelf, but was denied. Seems to me the manager on duty would upsell, not chase good clients away.

Great food in texture and options, although a bit bland. Theyve got a solid gallery as well as students seasonings, jams, and whatnot that you can buy. Definitely a place you want to support.

Food was nice enough. Service was slack and slow. They need to work on their staff being more attentive. Had to ask for water refill which isnt terrible I know but when you compare to most other places... Witnessed one lady wait and wait for her sandwich only for it to arrive lacking the main ingredient - she left quite unhappy and probably hungry because she couldnt wait.Plus was the building and live band playing traditional and modern music. Fantastic tuba!!

The grilled cheese sandwich is literally cheese poured on top of bread and the French toast doesnt come as expected, extremely undercooked and brought our way before the other plates. The service was horrendous and I had to make eye contact with the waitress quite a few times before our drinks were made even though it wasnt crowded.

One of the more spacious and newly built restaurants that I ate at on my journey. The food was great and averagely priced for this part of NOLA. All in all, they do a great job here and I would recommend it in the morning for brunch if your looking for a lot of sunshine.

A student run cafe for breakfast, lunch, and dinner with counter service. I have had brunch there a couple times and been happy with the stuffed mirliton. It has a large and spacious floorplan with a lot of natural light. They have free wifi, and it is a better place to read or study than satsuma.

You know those things in life that make you feel like a million bucks, but you can afford without going broke? Like eating macadamia nuts out of the jar, using long-stemmed flatware, or toasting? This place is like that. The food is fantastic to a level that demonstrates the skill of chef Johnathan. True to my fatty credit, I tried pretty much everything on the menu and Im struggling to pick a favorite (though if a golf club was aimed at my head, I would have to say the tostones were awesome). Its got a cool, modern interior without the pretention that is typical of this neighborhood as of late (skinny jeans and animal hats not required). Plus the prices and portions are super reasonable.Protip: check out the rotating art gallery next door after
