I came to this place for breakfast and it seemed like we were bothering the person working. because we weren’t there to drink. The food was average compared to all the places we ate around town, but better then one place we ate at last night. At the end the server seemed happy we left or the tip I gave him.Let’s rewind; we weren’t greeted when we entered, he just pointed to where we should sit, and every time we said thank you and good morning our server didn’t reply. So I actually thought he was mute or deff. But while we were leaving he responded with Thanks have a great day.
I LOVE THIS BAR. Amazing diner food, exactly what you need after a long night of drinking or walking tours or shopping. This is quite a hidden gem, I’m obsessed that I can get French toast and crispy hash browns at 3am. Super affordable, especially for the quarter. Great waiter. I went there three times in a one week stay and I plan on going back!
This place is not good. This is a place that uses the New Orleans cousine that people come to New Orleans for to take money from tourist.... the food is not authentic. The seafood gumbo didnt even have seafood in it. It had chicken or something and it tasted like it came out of a can. The gator nuggets tasted like it was 10% gator meat and 90% tuna or salmon mixed in. Also they do not allow separate checks. If you come with a few people they make you put it all on 1 check so they can take out a generous amount of gratuity and also hope for a generous tip. I never mind gratuity and giving a nice tip. But not for non authentic canned food thats suppose to be representing New Orleans creole food.
My favorites are the cheeseburger and the eggs benedict. I enjoy this place because the staff are all super nice and attentive. Its got tested that play sports games and they usually have one with movies playing, which I enjoy. They have a good tap beer selection as well as bottled.
Great spot for drinks and inexpensive eats in the quarter. Attentive and friendly bartender.
Best shrimp etouffee youll find around there!
Bobby was our waiter/bartender and was fantastic. He was pleasantly attentive and stayed on top of us.The drinks were tasty, the food was solid and the prices were great. Its a dive looking bar that offers a five star service experience. Will definitely be back.
Tiny but a great place in NOLA !! Great food and really good prices... history kn their menu was interesting too
We rent a place about a block away, so we eat here often. I always get the same thing, because its so good, and I cant make myself try anything new. Husband gets red beans and rice with sausage, I get the catfish po boy, we split half and half and its one of my favorite meals in the Quarter. The food is ALWAYS good and the service is too.
We stopped in this place twice while we were in New Orleans. The food was actually fantastic! And the prices were great. Both times the service was also exceptional. Love this little place. You will not be disappointed.
The place is very clean. Willy is an amazing cook and Bobby is an amazing human. Will definitely be going back
Talk about being pleasantly surprised. I went here with my friends to see the last quarter of the game and grab a bite. Ill say I spent more time looking at my plate than the screen. First time having real Louisiana red beans and rice and it was great. Service was good even though everyone was into the game. I would definitely recommend this spot for a quick and tasty meal.
Always head to this place when in New Orleans. Its good prices for good food and the drinks are very reasonable. Not fancy but thats fine when Im looking for a good breakfast or simple dinner.
This bar/restaurant was literally steps away from the hotel my husband and I were staying at, so we decided to give it a try. Im glad we did because the food was very good. The bar-maid that worked the evening of October 3, 2019 was a sweetheart. She was so helpful, and assisted us in choosing what we should order from the menu. The choices were wonderful, because everything tasted so good. My husband ended up getting the catfish po boy, while I ordered wings and seafood gumbo. Everything was so amazing, and thankfully they are open 24 hours, that we stopped by the following morning and grabbed breakfast. Deja Vu is definitely the place to visit while in New Orleans.
Its a bar and restaurant. The food was very surprising good and drinks were cold. Very Hometown feeling at this place.
They have good eats, and strong drinks. I got what I needed at the moment, and I think that most people would like it as well 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
If you’re in the big easy check out Deja Vu. The environment is amazing! The hurricanes available here a strong, I had the fish PO boy one day, and the Cajun omelette the next time I went in there. My fish was fried perfectly crispy, the bread was fresh! My omelette was so freaking good, it was out standing! It was stuffed with meat bacon, onions 🧅 jalapeños, cheese and Cajun sausage. I was full all day! Seriously they stuffed it, and I stuffed myself! 😂 if you’re in this area check it out!!!
Terrible. My steak was overcooked and tasted like it was going bad. I will never eat there again.
Great atmosphere, fun-loving and laid back. Waitstaff was pleasant and prompt. The food was phenomenal, and tasty, and not overpriced. I recommend the fried green beens ❤️
Been loving this place, mainly in the wee hours, for years while visiting!
Awesome place to stop in the quarter 👏👍You need to be served by Ben and Pixie. By far the most welcoming and easy place to relax with good alcohol and quick food. I suggest the egg vu sandwich. Cheap and filling.
Red beans and rice with sausage was on spot. The blue cheese burger was outstanding.
Food here is bomb! Boyfriend had a burger. I had eggs Benedict. Most people cant cook eggs Benedict but they can here! So good!!!
Pretty good stop for grub after an evening around town. Pretty straight forward bar food, with some New Orleans staples available. Great beer on tap! We did try the Gator appetizer here, not bad but not something I plan on ordering again. I was lucky to catch the steak special. Steak was cooked perfectly and there wasnt a ton of fat on it. Our server wasnt very friendly, or maybe I should just say didnt engage at all. Overall, good place to get a meal while visiting New Orleans.
The food is good, the service fun, and the drinks are solid. But, what keeps this thing as a four star rather than a three star is those fried pickles. SO good.
Menu had many options, great prices for being in the French Quarter, decent service. If youre looking for something beyond a slice of pizza and want to avoid long lines and overpriced food its a good choice.
We absolutely loved our food, drinks, and the bartender!! I definitely recommend this place to anyone who has not been and wondering if they should!! The breakfast is a must!!! My husband had the turkey burger and he loved it! Deja Vu will not disappoint!!!
Food was bomb and steps away from hotel I cleaned my plate got the seafood platter as not disappointed ‼️
One of the best Breakfast spots in the Big Easy!!Me and my mother had a Breakfast platter with ham, hashbrowns, eggs and toast. It was scrumptious 😋
Great food and even better service. Bobby, our bartender and waiter was fantastic! Our drinks, coffee, water, and mixed drinks never went past half full.
Our experience there was amazing. Right near the bourbon street, it was a good place to eat. We loved the chicken wings they had, and also the shrimp poboy. Gumbo was okay, not that great compared to other places in New Orleans, but overall, the service and the food was great. They also have full bar and carryout service available which was great to know!
Stumbled in here for dinner. Amazing service, amazing staff, amazing food. 100% would come here again.
Friendly service, reasonable prices and a delicious breakfast.
Chill environment, fun and witty staff, food was great. Actually had some gumbo there that was better than others I tried in the area. And the hours are the best part!!!
Great place for breakfast. Order biscuits - better than possible!!!
Great service, food was really good. Not crowded
Stopped in here for drinks and food. Food was good, service was friendly. Bartender gave several suggestions to visit later.
The coolest dive bar ever! BMo was very energetic and I enjoyed being there ❤
Very nice place. Great food and prices.
Service was quick and friendly. Made me a little sad the shrimp weren’t local, but the poboy was tasty and the shrimp perfectly cooked. We also ordered fries and fried pickles which were good, but nothing to write home about. Good selection of beer and a laid back atmosphere made this a perfect lunch spot a little separate from the craziness of Bourbon St. We appreciated good, filling bar fare that didn’t cost us an arm and a leg.
Good experience for an impromptu walk-in. Family of 5 enjoyed our meals.
This restaurant has some really great comfort food!!! I highly recommend the deja vu omelette. Thats my favorite dish but they also have some other really unique omelettes. The mini stuffed crab shells are also fantastic and not a very high price point in an appetizer for a unique dining experience. If you like comfort food and a unique spin on bar food, this is definitely the place to come.
We went here on a bachelor/Bachelorette trip for our friends and my wife had lost her wallet. The kind staff found it and returned it the following day with all the money and cards in there. Honest staff, great bar, and amazing vibes. Must visit!
Ahh deja vu how I have missed you so glad you are open again. Even if it limited hours
Great food. Unpretentious.
Food was okay good really small sandwiches Im a big guy so like bigger sandwiches . Staff was freindly and nice good atmosphere
Place is great. Not on bourbon st which is awesome. Good food and BMo is amazing. Best bar in town
New Orleans is known for great food. This wont disappoint. Steak n eggs on point as well as service
Too pricey for what we ordered, the menu shouldve said popcorn shrimp, thinking we about to get some real shrimp 🍤
One of my all time favorites, good food with reasonable prices.
It was my daughters choice for her birthday the food drinks and service was too notch.
Talk about a hole in the wall shocker, a tour guide recommended and we got their and where a little apprehensive but went for it anyway and we where very happy with our meals as well as with the staff
Nice bar for a quick Beer.
Great place for a quick drink and bite to eat. The food is great and the staff is amazing!
Nice little friendly bar tried fried crayfish was pretty good
Only customers there, lunch, food was good as well as the service
Food was standard bar food and overpriced. Draft beer was overpriced and stale, compared to other establishments in the area.
Gator ballz & pork boudin more please
Good burger, Red Beans and rice and onion rings. Service was outstanding.
Great place to duck in, grab a drink and a quick bite
Loved this place. Our waiter was super!
Nothing was good about this place. The food looked horrible and really didnt taste much better. The service was okay though.
Delicious beer and Gumbo. Service was also on point. :)
Their food was all 9.99 but was so small and jambalaya sucks soda in a baby cup was 3 bucks watered down soda. We ordered it to go not what I expected
Super friendly server, the gumbo was delicious!!
Following a French Quarter wedding, we had some time to wait before group dinner plans later in the evening. While walking a short distance, we saw Deja Vu on the corner...looked like a neat place. We did not want “big” meals now, so thought we would give it a try and see what they had.It was a small type restaurant and bar...had bright red chairs, and nice light coming from the entrance...clean and nice atmosphere. It is open 24/7 and serves breakfast all the time...has lots of options for food. There were only a few people when we first arrived around 3 PM, but before we left it was nearly completely filled. We had an awesome server...didn’t need to write any of our orders down....and everything was very good.....freshly-prepared, hot, reasonable prices. We had grilled cheese sandwiches, French fries, mozzarella sticks, baked potatoes, and cole slaw.
Liked the breakfast and mom liked the poboy. The sounds were a little too loud for the time of day we went. In general, worth trying out.
Had a great time there. The bartender was on point
