Delicious and gorgeous chocolates. Looks like a jewel box. A little outside downtown but worth the drive.

Amazing chocolates, one of the best chocolate boxes Ive ever had and I have had a lot of chocolate. Be careful though, the store is in a very sketchy neighborhood and you are not allowed to go inside which increases the sketch factor. To buy chocolates, pick what you want on the website, call them, and pick it up curbside.

Smells like Chocolate heaven. The chocolate is fantastic, done in a variety of different flavors and artistically beautiful coloring and awesome shapes. The costume service was also really great, the worker was nice enough to take out some of the chocolates for me to photograph and even showed us some of the chocolate cooking molds they use.

By far the best chocolate store in the state. Most of the chocolate is from solesource farms and the owners are true experts in the taste and culture of everything chocolate from around the world!

Took a friend from out of town to get chocolate to take home to family only to find it locked and a sign saying contactless pickup only but did not mention it on their google page or website.Went to Kilwins in the French Quarter instead and they were open and available.UPDATE:After a response from the owner that I felt was very condensending, I failed to mention that we did try the door and even looked in the windows to see if anyone was in the store (which we saw no one)After checking the website again, they were correct in Google correcting the availability options and curbside (as well as walkin) are on the website and did not consider the option to knock on the door to see if anyone would be available to help.I will raise my review because the business itself was not to blame for the change in the website information. The changing of the sign on the door will help ease the confusion and allow customers to get the service they need.

I highly recommend going here for some fantastic chocolate, they have a variety of flavors and many different sculptures of chocolates in their case. One of my favorites was Han Solo in Carbonite!

I havent been able to go inside Piety and Desire yet, but I have sampled their bonbons and their chocolate bars. Id say that theyre the best in New Orleans but thats damning with faint praise - theyre among the best Ive had, anywhere, easily. Everything is just top notch. I realized that if I can pay a little extra for better local coffee, I can do the same for chocolate.Oh, also, Mr. Nobles, the proprietor, is great. He cares a lot, and it shows.Edit: I posted this review after Id had some of their chocolates. Ive now had a lot more. They remain among the best chocolates Ive ever had.Oh, and Chris came to my house dressed up like the Easter Bunny, skipping the entire way, to the utter delight of my daughter. I dont have enough superlatives to describe Chris or his business.

Excellent chocolatier! He uses EXCELLENT ingredients that gives his chocolate a refined taste. This is not an I want an easter bunny place, however, he will have a seasonal hipster curated batch. Btw, I always order chocolate never strawberry or vanilla.

The chocolate here is super fresh and delicious. It’s all made in-house and obviously with lots of care. They have a fun creative side that adds to their more traditional products - I think it’s the best selection in the city.

I came into your shop the night before Valentines day hoping to buy a special gift for a very special lady. Ive been to Broad Cider a number of times and generally knew yall were nearby, but walked the block once before I found the door. As I finally figured it out and approached your storefront, a rather rude badger-tempered woman cut me off in tow with her aberrant spawn. No worries, I thought, as I even held the second door for her and took a deep, calming breath. As I entered your store, my heart skipped a beat when I saw the confections had been picked over and the stock was near bare. No fault of your own though, its Valentines day and this should have dawned on me earlier. As I waited for the succubus ahead of me to go back and forth with your patient staff, I saw a fine 12-box assortment that would be perfect for my snooky-wookie-boo-boo.  I had my order on the tip of my tongue and was all too eager to trade chocolate for cash and get a move on.  But no. The troglodyte in front of me wanted more...more...more! With every passing second my dread grew more palpable as she proceeded to buy the last two remaining 12-piece boxes with absolutely no concern for common decency or concern for the poor customer behind her.Her whole cherade at this point, I think, was noticed by your staff, who, while she proceeded to ooh and aww, took pity on me and asked for my order.Knowing the answer well before I asked, I inquired if there were any 12-piece boxes left. Also knowingly, your staff responded saying that the last two boxes had been purchased by the customer ahead of me, who be it know, was still wrangling her beast of a child and fumbling around with God knows what instead of simply paying for her order and decending back into the firey pit in which she came. Then unexpectedly, like a beacon of pure light and hope that burned through the fog of dispair and horror, your staff member offered to break up a 24-box assortment into the one thing, the only thing, that I had my heart set on. A 12-piece set. For me? Is this real life? Is there really a God in heaven looking down on me? I quickly concluded that this couldnt be the case because Donald Trump is still president, but I was incredibly touched by your staffs kindness and generosity and for a moment, I believed in world peace. And there you have it. The woman in front of me never acknowledged my presence or her total disregard for common courtesy, but your staff made my night, my darling bae-bae-kitty-boo will be absolutely delighted with her scrumptious confections, and Ill always hold your shop in the highest regards for customer service. Thanks for making my night and kudos to your incredible team.

I cannot say enough good things about Piety and Desire. The owner treats chocolate like a sommelier treats fine wine or a coffee connoisseur treats coffee beans. The product is exceptionally good, and there are lots of beautiful-to-the-eyes-and-tastebuds options. I love getting gifts here for the people who are impossible to buy for.

Decadent chocolatier. Tucked next to a cidery and distillery is a cozy artisan chocolate boutique. Dont miss it! The chocolates are sculpted into delicious masterpieces. The decadent bon bons are infused with spices and liquor from the neighboring distillery and cidery. Of the dozen or so eclectic flavors, the Malted Apple Cider Caramel was hands down my favorite with an impeccable blend of apple cider and caramel, followed by the Earl Grey and Pink Peppercorn bon bon.The fiery Habanero bon bon sizzled my taste buds, my mouth was on fire! The other flavors were a bit more subtle: Blueberry Goat Cheese, Sazerac, Hemingway Daiqiuri, Brown Butter Bourbon.I highly recommend eating the bon bons within a couple of weeks. They were too beautiful to eat, and sadly waited 4 months. Although they were still good, I feel that the flavors werent as potent. The cacao is so rich and delightfully bitter, I enjoyed a bar of dark chocolate from Peru (72%) and Tanzania (70%). I also bought some dark chocolate cocoa bean nibbles. The best part of the experience was the warm and friendly chocolatier. He let us sample a variety of chocolate from different regions and educated us on different types - didnt realize that true dark chocolate doesnt have milk.I was dazzled by the chocolates, one of the best chocolatier shops in the nation. After buying a box of bon bons, 2 bars of dark chocolate, and cacao nibbles, Im all set until my next visit to NOLA. Off the beaten path from Bourbon street and well worth a visit!

We stopped in after visiting Roulaison and Broad street Cidery. We walked in as they were closing up but the owner Christopher took his time to go over all the bon bons and chocolates. We tried some and I bought two of everything! What unique flavors for the bon bons and even the plain dark chocolate was so smooth. The dark chocolate bar with pork cracklings is such a niche southern treat Next time Im in NOLA Ill be back here!!
